Communism Part One (Transcript)

In today’s broadcast, Bob Barney discusses welfare and what would God have to say about the idea of giving away somebody else’s money to take care of widows and orphans? This is the first part of a three-part series called, Communism as we explore why this failed experiment will never work. Bob also expounds on how the founding fathers were guided by Biblical principles in creating a governmental system that worked well UNTIL we allowed it to morph into the system we have today. Is history repeating itself? Be prepared to learn so much!

What would God have to say about the idea of welfare and giving away somebody else’s money to take care of widows and orphans?

Many people believe the Bible, especially the New Testament, especially the worlds in red, that we are to take care of the orphans and widows and the poor amongst the people whom you are doing it for Him.

But you notice Christ said when YOU take care of the poor, not when the GOVERNMENT takes care of the poor. This is what America and what communism is really about.

Yesterday I left off and talked about how communism breaks at least 3 or four of the ten commandments of God. It is immoral and our constitution was based on the morality of the bible whether you want to believe that or not, it is true. In fact, the founding fathers were very religious and bible readers. I believe almost half of the men were ministers that signed the Declaration of Independence.

Yesterday I gave you a little hint about playing a video that you can find on YouTube from Ronald Reagan from back in the 70s. He had a five-minute radio show on most AM stations, and he would give an opinion on a matter, and he would do so in such a concise perfect way that in that short amount of time, you really learned a lot about what he had to say; it was very intriguing to listen to him. as he wrote all of these shorts himself.

One of those that really got my interest is a little story he wrote was about the modern Little Red Hen.  Watch HERE.

Bob Barney resumes: I don’t think anybody could have read that better then him, so I played that off of you tube. The story, as short as it is, is so poignant as it just nails down exactly what happens when communism takes over a society.

There is another speech that I may play next week, a podcast of about 10 or 12 minutes long by RR, from back in the 1960s when he talks about social security and Medicare. Medicare sounds good, as you know, elderly people should be taken care of, right? But is it really the government’s job to do it? Because whenever the gov does anything, it becomes bloated and inefficient and in most cases it becomes corrupt.

We saw this with the VA hospitals a few years ago, we see this with anything the government touches, you know the old saying that if a govt was controlled and in control of the Sahara Desert that there would be a shortage of sand within a few years. That is pretty crazy sounding but is the truth.

Ronald Reagan was also very famous for saying anything the government touches, you know, the old saying, the scariest words from the government are, “I am from the government, and I am here to help you”.

What started with Wilson and Roosevelt, America has toyed around and played around with socialism. As RR pointed out in that speech about Medicare, if someone was to call liberalism vs socialism, and its really communism, then the people would listen and accept it and it would sound good. If you told them, it was Marxist communist idea to do Medicare, they would have been against it. They would have realized there is no such thing as a free lunch. If you market one thing and morph it into something else, that is what you have today, a government that is out of control and quickly becoming a dictatorship.

I have said this in many other broadcasts, the Roman Empire started as a republic form of government. In fact, the same type of government we have. They did not have a bicameral legislative body, not even a house of reps and a senate like we do but they had the form of a senate and people of the elite class made the laws for Rome. It was a pseudo democracy, there was no emperor, no one to become a dictator until Julieus Cesar came along about 400 years after the birth of Rome. So, it was the roman republic that lasted longer than the American republic that is today, just think about that. But Rome fell to a dictator and for the same reasons Rome fell, it looks to me like America is going the same route.

I have already told you that the Bible predicted what would happen to us when we rebel against God’s laws and the penalty for doing so would be horrendous. We are going through the horrendous penalties of Leviticus 26. You can look it up in your bibles and read that whole chapter and read Deut 28 as well, compare it to that. It is the same thing just said a little bit differently which is entitled, “Blessings and Cursings for those who obey the word of God. “

So if you follow the 10 commandments and the gov does the same thing, then there are tons of blessings, good weather, good crops, good health, enemies running away from you, victorious in every battle you fight, however, if you disobey God’s laws and the 10 commandments, in those two chapters, God’s punishment of a nation who does not follow God’s laws, it is opposite of all the blessings. The aliens would overrun you and take over and become your head, the diseases and pestilence would be caused by inflammation in the body as mentioned in Deut 28, and we would start losing wars.

This idea of giving away other people’s money did not start with FDR or Wilson, there is a story, the other one I was going to tell you about and I am going to play Rand Paul quoting the story here in a minute from cspan, but Davy Crockett in the 1830’s, we all know he is the hero of the Alamo, or the song if you are old enough to remember the Davy Crockett song and the tv movies from Disney…but Crockett was a congressmen for a while and he learned quickly from one of the people in his district who told him off when he was going to try to get reelected about giving away people’s money. Congress has no right to dip their hands in the public trust to make them feel good, was the message. And that every time you give away money to poor people, people who deserve a helping hand, but you take it from the public treasury you are stealing from the public. You have no right to do so. Unfortunately, congress people alike, senators, presidents, politicians in general, love to give things away to get reelected. People often like to get what they are given but there are no free lunches because someone has to pay for the lunch. Usually it is the working class that pays for it and when they stop working, the nation pays for it…then the nation suffers and falls.

Let me play this Rand Paul audio talking about Davy Crockett who is talking to his colleagues in congress.

Rand Paul ~ This brings up the questions of both constitutionality and also foreignability. There was an essay written in 1867 that was published in Harper’s mag, it was called Not Yours to Give. It is the story of Davy Crockett in the 1800s. Like most stories, some argue that the story is an accurate rendition when others say it is apocryphal. The moral though is incontestable. He only served two terms, but one day in congress he was confronted with a bill to give money to the widow of a navy officer, he gave this speech. Mr. speaker, I have as much respect for the memory of the deceased and as much for the suffering of the living. If suffering be as much as any man of the house, we must not permit the respect of the dead to lead us into an act of injustice to the balance of the living. We have the right as individuals to give away as much of our own money as we please in charity but as members of congress we have no right to approach a dollar of the public’s money. I am the poorest man on this floor. I cannot vote for this bill, but I will give a one week’s pay, my check for one week, and if every member of congress would do this it would amount to more than what this bill asks for.

There was silence and remarkably the bill failed.

When later asked for an explanation, he said, several years ago, I was standing one evening on the steps of the capitol when we saw a large great light over Georgetown. It was a large fire. We jumped into a hack and drove over there as fast as we could. In spite of all that could be done, many houses were burned, and many made homeless. Some of them had lost all but the clothes on their back, the weather was very cold. When I saw so many women and children suffering, I felt that something must be done. The next morning a bill was introduced to appropriate 20 thousand dollars for their relief, we put aside all other business and rushed it through.

Later in the year when Davy was back in Tennessee, he ran into a constituent named Horatio Bunce and he asked him for his vote and Bunce responded, “you better not waste your time on my vote, i shall not vote for you again, your vote last winter shows that you don’t have the capacity to understand the constitution or that you are wanting in honesty and firmness to be guided by it, because the constitution to be worth anything is to be held sacred and visible rigidly observed in all its provisions. The man who wields power and misinterprets the constitution is more dangerous the more honest he is. Horacio Bunce continued, no colonel, there is no mistake, the newspapers said you voted for this bill to give 20 thousand who suffered in a fire, is that true? Crockett answered, well my friends I may as well own up. you got me there, but certainly nobody would complain that a great and rich country couldn’t give 20 thousand dollars, an insignificant sum, to relieve the suffering of women and children? The power of collecting and disbursing money at pleasure is the most dangerous power that can be entrusted to a man. While you were continuing to relieve one, you were drawing it from thousands who were even worse off than thee. If you had the right to give anything, the amount was simply a matter of discretion with you. you had as much right to give 20 mil to give 20 thousand. if you have the right to give to one, you have the right to give to all and as the constitution neither defines charity nor stipulates the amount, you were at liberty to give to any and everything which you made believe or professed to believe was a charity and to any amount you may think proper, no colonel Crockett, congress has no right to give charity. Individuals give as much money as they please, but they have no right to touch the public money for that purpose. If twice as many houses had burned in this county in TN as had in Georgetown, neither you nor any other member would have thought of appropriating a dollar to our relief. If each congressman showed their sympathy to the victims for one week’s pay it would have nearly covered the cost, but it was easier to give other people’s money. The people about Washington no doubt applauded you for relieving them from the necessity of giving by giving what was not yours to give. The people have delegated congress by the constitution, the power to certain things. To do these, it is authorized to collect and pay monies and for nothing else. Everything but you, this is usurpation and a violation of the constitution. So you see, you have violated the constitution and what I consider a vital point is a precedent fraught with danger to the country for when a country begins to stretch its power beyond the constitution.

Bob Barney continues: This is expressing a tyranny form of government that just 50 years earlier they fought against England to not do.

The truth is, that all of the good things that you think the government should do, they should not do.

They also do not have the right to do so.

It is not in your interest that they do.

So, when you see Social Security, Medicare…it all sounds good. You have paid into it, I will admit, this is something you and your employer has paid into and the govt has robbed this money but welfare in general…the government getting involved with whatever they think or deem to be worthy causes is not an excuse to rob the public of their hard-earned tax dollars. It is important that we understand that when you run a government through feelings instead of through brainpower, what ends up is tyranny. People give up their rights and unfortunately some dictator comes along.

I am afraid that is what is happening to America.

“Communist” is just a phase by the way, it is the middle phase of a one-man dictatorship taking over.

Whenever you have had a communist, be it Stalin or Mao, or Chavez, what it is all about is to usurp all the power from the people and through their legislative bodies. They usurp all this power to a central form of government and then convert that power to an individual who becomes a tyrant who rules, his son rules after him, and then their son rules after them, then monarchy and serfdom and no middle class, and the absolute rape of the American citizen. That is what is going on today and that is what the Biden admin is doing under the guise of climate change and green energy, and it is all money they don’t need. Money for even Israel! It is not our job to defend the world and to pay for it all!

If we as a collective body do want to help one country or another, that has to be done so in an honest and open way.

Do you really believe that the 100 billion dollars plus that we have sent Ukraine in the last year, that a lot of that money did not come back in some form of bribery to the elected officials that voted to do that? If I were to take your money and give it away to another person, and I get a ten percent kickback, I am going to do that all day long. That is what is happening today, and it has been happening in this country for a long time. It is about time that if people don’t want to be the last generation of America, and there is going to be one, if you read The Plain Truth, you will understand that we have predicted what God says is going to happen to this nation; we know this nation will fall. But it doesn’t have to fall in our lifetime if we wake up. God will bless any nation, any people who return to His ways.

It is that simple.

People say that the solution to the world’s problems are not simple, they are complicated…well you know what, Ronald Reagan as president simplified things. There was a cabinet meeting in which the cabinet official’s secretary of defense and state were arguing back and forth with each other about breaking even with Russia, that we have to hold them toe to toe…the policy was called mutual madness. Mutually assured destruction. We could hold Russia and we could annihilate them, and they could do that to us and there was a standstill in place then the world was safe. It was crazy but that was the policy. RR broke in and started speaking, “why don’t we just win this damn war and get it over with?”

And that is what he did.

Didn’t happen in his presidency but 8 months after he was and George Bush replaced him, the Berlin wall was the beginning of the end of the Soviet Union. What came out of that was a dictator as you know as Putin SO that is what comes out of communist nations. Democracies never come out; dictators do. The people today that are pro Palestine, pro liberal, they are pro-abortion, the devil loves Death you know…there is a phrase in the bible, he who hateth God loveth death.

He who hates God loves death.

The devil hates God and he loves the death of you and me.  Abortion, euthanasia, killing sr citizens because it is cheaper to kill them, it is called assisted suicide, but it is assisted murder. All the things that the liberals push are edicts in order to take control of this government and eventually turn it into a dictatorship. The thing you have to realize when you are dealing with liberal people who are really commies at heart, they have no feelings at all for the people. They sit there and they cry for the poor Palestinians or this or that group but when push comes to shove, and you really get in there with a magnifying glass and really look at the situation they don’t give a hoot about anybody but themselves and their agenda. They are demons through and through and they have no good will toward you or any of us.

You are a useful idiot if you agree with them. If you go and march for them and go and help stuff fake ballots and to get them illegally elected, you are a useful idiot. So, in part three of this serious, I am going to play another video from YouTube of a minister who I have no clue I he agrees with me, but he accurately expresses in an essay, getting to the Crockett thing again, and you will see how socialism, communism, robs the people of their hard-earned money and breaks the laws of God. Do not be fooled. I say this all the time in what i write and what i communicate in m y podcasts, do not be fooled by leaders who claim they feel your emotions and care for you…want to take care of you…because they are not…they are dishonest evil people trying to usurp your authority.

I learned long ago in my first political science class as a freshman at the University of Connecticut, there are four things that the liberals hate about America…and what keeps America free.

1) they hate the idea of Individual Liberties. America was founded on majority rule but individual liberties rights. The majority cannot become a tyranny over the majority which is the basis of this government. Americans fought for liberty, not a democracy.

Do you know what a democracy is?

A democracy is when you have five people in which two are women and three are men and there is a vote for example about if you should you rape the two women. If the vote is 3 to 2, that is a democracy. We are not a democracy. We are a represented government with democratic principles that respects the rights of the minority. And liberals do not respect the rights of any minority. You are seeing that right now with the Jewish people. They have been liberal their whole life and now they are finding themselves at odds with those that care about the underprivileged. Do not believe it.

Don’t believe it at all.

2) This also separates America…Individualism. Liberals, communism, socialism, breeds the idea that it takes the village, as Hillary Clinton said, which is total bunk, America became what it became because of rugged individuals. People did what they did on their own merits. The strong, the cream rises to the top, and America’s individualism is part of our success story.

3) God’s blessing. If you follow God, He blesses you and you are not going to fail. God always says in the Bible, is there anything too hard for me to do? Because he is always surprised when we seem to not believe that He can do ANYTHING.

4) Freedom of movement. If you can restrict the freedom of movement of people, you can then restrict their rights. You know, we had this great frontier in America 150 years ago so people could keep moving west and rebuild a new life for themselves. But today, you have especially using this nonsense energy crap, green energy, global warming nonsense which is pure fake science. It’s in an effort to stop your mobility because with mobility comes individual freedom and liberty. You cannot have liberty when you are immobile in a jail, but you can have all the libertines you want when you are alone on a mountain. Rugged individualism requires mobility. When they are talking about new green energy and electric vehicles, what they are really talking about is limiting the mobility of the American citizen. This is to stop us from moving. From moving out of a state because taxes ARE TOO HIGH. That is a death warrant for liberals, and they are going to fight it.

Do not be fooled.

So, until part two of this series of Communism in America. This is Bob Barney, thank you for listening and please go to www.ThePlainTruth.com every day and look at the Message Board and Your Health Today Online, and also please tell your friends about the broadcast and The Plain Truth….and lastly and most importantly, pray for this nation.

“But you must notice that Christ said when YOU take care of the poor, not when the GOVERNMENT takes care of the poor. This is what America and what communism is really about.”
