Hi, this is Bob Barney at 7:11 Monday morning. Today we are going to play a short 18-minute conversation with Tucker Carlson and Rand Paul. The idea is something that I have mentioned in a broadcast a few weeks ago of Senator Rand Paul having something in mind and if you were listening, I have the same problem with the government banning Tik Tok. Our government seems more and more totalitarian and more than any other country in the world. Rand is very accurate in my estimation in this broadcast, that the people that handed our country over to China, are trying to ban us from Tik Tok to protect us from China.

If you believe this then you must believe in the Easter Bunny and Santa Claus.

This is a pirated broadcast from Tuckers site, and I will give the link to credit him as I think this is such a necessary conversation to listen to.

You can get some good information that you are not finding out on the mainstream media or even Fox or Newsmax.

Tucker also has the ex-congressmen Ron Paul, the father of Rand who correctly predicted the major disasters of the last 20 years. Tucker had him on in March. Also, Tucker has one of Rosanne Barr, and Tulsi Gabbard and he seems quite enchanted with her. He shows she could be the next VP under Trump. Another broadcast of his has MTJ on that I think is worth listening to.

So let’s roll the tape and see if you agree with what is going on:

“The majority of house republicans amazingly just aligned with the Biden administration on one of its priorities and that is to ban Tik Tok. This is one of the most far-reaching moments of censorship stopping Americans from the right of receiving information from any source that they choose. Many of us believe this is a fundamental right. Most of those in Washington say this is not at all that is what is going on and instead are framing censorship as a form of self-defense of a foreign adversary. If this sounds familiar it is the same rationale, they used to spy on DJT when they deemed him a tool of Russia.

Of course they do this in the bluntest, least restrained terms because it is your fault actually. Voting against the bill is a vote against the CCP proclaims neocon congressman Dan Crenshaw, the Niki Haley of Texas. “The opponents of this bill are not defending free speech, they are defending Chinese access to American data and American minds, not a good look”.

You are a bad American if you don’t agree with me says Dan.

The rest of the liars said similar things and maybe some of them do believe it, that is possible given the IQ of the media and Congress. Let’s just assess this as rational for a moment.

The federal government very much want to protect us and our children from China or so they say. Let’s assume that is true and further assume the CCP is a greater threat to our wellbeing than what our own government is. That is a stretch and unsupported by any evidence of any kind. Let’s stipulate that is true though. If you were in charge though, how would you go about protecting yourself from China?

Let’s see.

Prevent the CCP from buying American farmland and controlling our food supply. This way the Chinese government which they claim as our greatest enemy could not starve our population to death. You would get right on that. You would also think that you would stop the CCP from taking over control of our water, energy, basic elements that we cannot live without, you wouldn’t want the CCP anywhere near these things, that would be the priority, right?

Then you would make certain that the Chinese did not control your economy. You wouldn’t transfer all of your industrial base to China, hence making them rich and you are poor. You wouldn’t do that, and you also wouldn’t have them hold a portion of your debt, that would be reckless as hell. You wouldn’t allow the CCP to send billions to your most prestigious universities to allow them to control the minds of your future leaders nor would you allow Chinese citizens to invade your country over the southern border, that would be insane.

You would furthermore keep Chinese people out of medica, scientific and RND facilities. You would not fund their bio labs and or cover up for them when you release killer viruses on the world…no you wouldn’t…why would you do that!?

On foreign policy, you wouldn’t spend a lot of time worrying about Taiwan. They are far away and really, who cares? NO. You don’t have all the money in the world, and you would spend your energy and military might on your own hemisphere where you and your population live…you would want to protect the. Then you wouldn’t allow the CCP to colonize every country in the Americas. Including Canada and Mexico. You also certainly wouldn’t let the Chinese build the infrastructure in places you control, supposedly in the American Virgin Islands where the roads are being paid for by China. This would be humiliating and embarrassing and would want that to stop. You would not put up with that for a second.

Just to make sure that China understood you were doing everything to protect your own people, because that is your goal, because if you are Dan Crenshaw, you are concerned about your own people and country. So you would immediately shoot down any Chinese spy balloon that floated over Montana. Obviously, you would do so.

Somehow the government, and Dan Crenshaw, has done none of this and no plans to do any of this ever.

So, China still makes our antibiotics and our vitamins.

But what Crenshaw is doing is banning a social media app and probably not the first social media app that Crenshaw would call for banning. The Biden Admin will most likely try to ban more.

So what is this about? It isn’t about China, that’s for sure. Why? Because pay no attention to what they say, watch carefully what they do.

Rand Paul of Kentucky who was of course a USA senator has been one of very few who is watching what they do and not what they say. So he is trying to stop this outlawing of Tik Tok because he is a dot connector of way back and we are honored to have him now.

Rand: Thank you for having me, Tucker.

T: I will presume I can talk for you…I am sure people are not in favor of Tik Tok and the Chinese government, I certainly am not. But Republican leaders seem to believe two things that contradict one another, on one hand they believe that with some evidence, that Joe Biden is controlled by China, and he is pushing transgenderism, and that is true, but they are aligning with Joe who is suddenly is claiming that Tik Tok is bad because it is too Chinese, and it is poisoning the minds of our children. He cannot be serious. Why are they joining in with this with Joe.

Rand: My concern is always with the centralization of power and giving up power, I don’t care if it is a republican or a democrat, I don’t want any president to be able to ban apps that are sold on an app store. 180 million Americans put dance videos up on Tik Tok and choose the terms of the service as people on FB do, does FB scrape your data and google and all of these giant tech companies do that? YES, but the thing is there are now accusations that Tik Tok is owned by the CCP, that isn’t even true. You cannot just say stuff over and over again that is not true. It is owned 60 percent of it by international investors, 20 percent is owned by the 2 Chinese software engineers that created the app, and 20 percent is owned by the employees of Tik Tok and 7000 of them are Americans. Then there is a huge Nexis of Americans using this and it’s just not true that the Chinese owes this.

The company that owns Tik Tok owns something that is censored by the Chinese and is broadcasted by Chinese. It is the Chinese Tik Tok, but they do not have a board member that controls this, and the dates is now kept in Oracle Cloud centered in Texas. This has been done because the company wants to try to exist. It is a very popular app and has a great deal of value so they are doing anything they can to comply and the hysterics in the house has SHUT THEM DOWN, COMMUNISM this and that…look I have written two books on communism, about what it did during the Covid leak and Mao’s reign. We cannot sort of like, emulate the Chinese to try and protect our way of life and banning things. Tik Tok is banned in China. They have a censored version that the CCP does control but they do not control Tik Tok here. If we ban them, we are becoming and acting like the Chinese.

There is hysteria afoot but in American there are things that protect us, you cannot just take things from people. I cannot take Tucker Carlson network from you just because one of your investors are Chinese, I would have to go to court and prove that you are a part of that, you cannot take someone’s company that is worth billions of dollars without proving in a court of law just like you cannot take the right of free speech from millions of people from expressing themselves. I think the courts will rule against this, they have twice, in federal court and recently overturned a Montana ban. There is a very good chance this is unconstitutional but that doesn’t seem to be deterring any of my colleagues in the house.

T: This doesn’t even make sense, they say it is foreign controlled and that they are spying on that, I believe both of those things, but Google and FB are spying on us on a much greater level and therefore there are people who hate the USA demonstrably and they say so, so Google and FB are not a threat, but Tik Tok is? I know you are lying if you make this case…immediately.

Rand: The thing is that the bill is written that if 20% of ownership is foreign, that is about what TT is, or if you are controlled by a foreign entity, that is someone’s opinion saying that, it is probably controlled by profit like most things in the marketplace, they spend about a billion dollars to comply to this organization called Ziphius that has to do with companies that have some ownership that have an American board and kept the data over here, they have done nothing but tried to comply but they keep going on and on and on, but the First and the Fifth Amendment are really important here.

There are some of your former colleagues at Fox that believe that this doesn’t apply to national security. Problem with that is there is always an excuse for national security for anything you want to do. I don’t think you throw out the constitution when there are allegations when there is some kind of allegations, you have to prove that before you take someone’s stuff or first amendment privileges.

T: So, we know it isn’t about what they say it is and there is a lobbying campaign of investors from competing companies that want to crush the competitor and some people are just bought and paid for in Washington…but there is also an ideological battle here and a lot of the people voting to ban TT object to the messages on TT. Like, that is true.

R: Yeah, it is content and once you start objecting to that is objecting to speech. I have never used it, I read about it and object to some of it, but I don’t use it. The thing is that everyone wants a government to be the parent. But once you start doing that there is a whole host of things that can be taken off of there, what about people that say you should have religious liberty, or we shouldn’t’ teach transgenderism in the elementary schools. Those are heretical views as well, should those be taken down? I think it is the opposite with TT as they are promoting a lot of left-wing things. My wife is always talking about the liberals on TT and those exposing them…supposedly they are pretty great investigators and there is this one woman in particular, but the bottom line is the more information the better, if you don’t like it don’t use it. That is what happens in a free country. But in an authoritarian country, you don’t like it and it gets shut down. That is what is happening now. I am disappointed. There are some people who have been relatively good at looking at the government and the constitution and have gone insane about it…wanting to do something about Communism, this is not the way, emulating the CCP is not the best way.

T: Last question…this action is supported by the left, the real left…and by the neocons. It seems to me that if this president stands then the next target would be X which is of course the platform they hate the most because it is the freest of platforms in the world. What would stop the Congress or the next administration from saying Elon Musk is effectively a tool of the Russian disinformation and do to him what they did to Trump and forcing the sale of x. What would stop them?

R: I don’t know enough about X to know about their investors, probably some live in foreign countries, but think about the list of countries that do unsavory things. I don’t like Egyptian government, they don’t have elections, they prosecute religious opponents as do many counties in the middle east. I wouldn’t give any of them military money but if you want to trade with them having embargos is different than me not giving them free money. I dent want to give China any money, for research or sharing arms, I don’t want to but i am not ready to forbid people trading with them and that is where we are headed.

You can see the potential of hey look a lot of people have Saudi Arabia investors, but they don’t have a free country, they killed oour journalist chopped him up and threw him out of a plane, but I dont want to stop anyone from investing with them. So, that is what we are headed toward. There is every bit of the argument that a regime like SA takes data on its enemies. Do you think any Shiite mooslems in SA are not follwed by the police and don’t have their data being collected? All of the things we accuse China of, they are being also done in dozens of countries. Vietnam is a communist nation. Should we not do business them? People would argue that the trade with China overall, that the people are freer than they were under Mao. It is still way better than it was under Mao, their level of living and freedom is better in China but to say we are going to get rid of all of that and no trade and you cannot own anything with these people is a recipe for war.

When you forbid these things that is when war occurs.

T: we should keep our country free; I would think that would be a top priority. Thank you, Senator Rand Paul.
