29:26MuteSettingsAirPlayHi, it’s Bob Barney again with the Plain Truth Friday wrap-up on The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com. And I want to go over the big stories of the week like we always do. Just had to plug in my computer if you heard it because we’re still in Florida. Last weekend we’ll be in Florida and we’ll be back to Virginia again for next week’s broadcast and maybe catch up a little bit.But the big story, of course, for the week is the war that’s going on in Iran and the casualties that are caused by both the American troops. There’s been a few casualties there as well as big casualties for the Iranians and some big, pretty big casualties also, I have to admit, for the Israelis, the Jewish people in the so-called nation of Israel. I always say that because if anybody remembers or listens to these broadcasts, you’ll know that in the Bible, according to God, the people of the Jewish people, I should say, are really the people of Judah. They’re not the people of Israel because the name of Israel belongs to the tribe of Joseph and there are very few tribe of Joseph people living in Israel. And if they are, they’re American citizens or British citizens, but we’ll get into a different story. But some of the things that’s happening this week was, of course, stock market’s gone all over the place.Gasoline has gone through the roof. I said in yesterday’s broadcast that in one day, the gas went up 30 cents and by two days, it went up 40 cents. And I believe by this morning or yesterday morning, I mean, it went up another 10 cents to 50 cents a gallon, all within three or four days because of this war.And if it continues, I got news for you, if it continues, we’re going to have inflation. There’s no two ways about it. Gasoline prices, fuel prices in general, but gasoline prices and diesel prices in specific cause the greatest influx of price increases and of inflation because the average item that you buy in a grocery store travels some 1,800 miles to get to your table. And that traveling is either by train, but mostly by truck, diesel truck, or even diesel train. And so the cost of transportation for your food and the materials you buy in the, like your Walmarts or your local stores, all of that stuff is transported some all the way from China, a lot all the way from China on the ships, big container ships that again, burn oil. And then of course, those containers come across by railroad, diesel fuel, and then trucks to your store, diesel fuel, you got to get to your store, that’s gasoline. And all of these higher gas and diesel and oil prices add up to somewhat probably in theneighborhood of 10 or 25% of the total food bill always is the price of the fuel to get it to you. So if you have, let’s say dollar bananas, I don’t know what they cost right now, I think they’re 79 cents for organic bananas. But if you have a dollar a pound bananas, probably 25 or 35% of that cost is directly related to the cost of fuel to get it to you.And that’s come out of South and Central America, up by boat to the port, and then by train to theterminals and by the terminals, trucks to your warehouses, and then the warehouses to the storeby truck. And so when it all adds up together, you have a lot of costs being added. Now thequestion that I have, what is that going to do for inflation in the future here? And what is the Fedgoing to do about it? So I’m going to play CNBC report on the job report the ADP put out yesterday, and what it could mean as well as the war and where the Fed comes off and all of this because they are in a dilemma because of the just everything going wrong is kind of working against what the Fed’s trying to do.And rough times, I’m afraid are ahead economically for this country and the world. Let’s listen to what this report had to say about the…CNBC: Breaking news from ADP, private companies added 63,000 jobs last week alone, a far cry from what they expected. So now what’s this going to do for these things over through here? Well, that’s what we’re going to talk about today.Mortgage rates he’s talking about. If you’re watching this video, you’re a homeowner, homebuyer, heck I hope you’re a realtor, a loan officer trying to help understand what’s going to go on with those today and the why’s behind it. So the first piece of information we have is right through here.ADP payroll came in and said 63,000 people got jobs last week. The last reading was 11,000. They thought it was going to be about 50,000.So this is a robust number, but now we have to look at them saying, okay, usually good news for the economy is bad news when it comes to the Federal Reserve because they’re not going to cut rates. Well, let’s give me, let me give you my thoughts on how this is going to affect what the Federal Reserve does in two weeks. News we got today, ADP payroll came in and they said 11,000 people got jobs last time. They thought it was going to go all the way up to 50,000, went to 63,000. So that means the jobsmarket, the jobs numbers are fantastic at this point, but tomorrow we’re going to get anotherpiece of the puzzle. This is from the federal government, initial jobless claims and continuedclaims. How many people that got let go, but were you able to be absorbed back into the market? Okay. So then on Friday, we’re going to get the average hourly earnings and also the newunemployment rate. So the rest of this week, we’re going to get all employment numbers.Okay. So let’s get over to see how the market’s reacting to this. And the reason why we do this is that’s what the Federal Reserve watches. That’s the same thing that the markets watch to figure out what’s going on with interest rates. So this is what the Federal Reserve watches. They control that rate way over there, but they look at the PCE and the jobs report right through here.Okay. So let’s get over with this great jobs report. The Federal Reserve has been cutting. They’re saying, okay, we really have to curtail the jobs numbers from really, you know, exceeding a 5% unemployment rate. So they’ve been cutting rates because of this alone. Well, if you have a good jobs market and then inflation number over there, remember they want that at two, it’s teetering at three. So if you were on the Fed, would you cut? Well, let me know down below, but let’s get over to this piece of the puzzle right through here. Here’s what the bond market’s doing. So if you’re new to the channel, this is what we watch over through here. All you have to know is that number up through there, it says MBS, and then it has a green number. It says 0.06. All you have to know is if that number is green, that’s good news. That means mortgage rates are going down a little bit.The bigger the number, the bigger the adjustment. Then obviously if that’s red, that’s bad news. That means mortgage rates are going up.And again, the bigger the number, the bigger the adjustment. But here’s what we’ve seen over the last few trading days. Now remember, up is good and down is bad.So we go to the last five trading days, here’s what’s happened. Okay. Down is bad.Remember I said mortgage rates, they jumped up about a quarter percent almost in 48 hours. So here’s where we were. Then we went down to here on Monday. Then we went down to here on Tuesday. Then all of a sudden we started recovering. Thankgoodness. And that put prices basically back to where we were on Monday. So mortgage rates are about an eighth of a percent higher than we were on Friday. So that’s putting us on my upper end tier of that range. But today so far, market’s looking pretty good. We got a plus six that’s helping there. We go to the stock market, it’s looking pretty good as well.Remember yesterday I said, folks, don’t freak out. Don’t sell panic sell. And then you’re going to see the market recover. And then you’re going to be like, oh, you know, the markets are, I just bought, you know, I sold low and bought high. I want to give you some statistics that I was just putting, watching some analysis earlier this morning on a couple of the news channels. You realize after we have issues in the Middle East, these are issues like desert storm, Middle East and other conflicts.Within eight weeks after that conclusion, the stock market is usually up four percent and it’s 95 percent of the time. And I do believe I just that’s how we’re going to do in this one here. I do believe this is the case.BOB BARNEY:If this war is fast, this war is what Donald Trump says it’s going to be. And if it’s fast, I’m not talking about how good it is for the world, for America. If we if we capitulate this, this government or not in Iran, we’re not talking about we’re talking about pure economics. If this war is a four or five week war, the stock market will come back. Gold will again stabilize. Oil will stabilize and everything will continue along, except Iran, if they survive it and the same people stay in power, will do nukes again and be enemies to their neighbors again in the next three or four years or less. But if we’re just economically, if everything is over within four weeks, it will just be a blip on the screen and it won’t make a difference. And you don’t have to panic too much about your investments or about inflation. Now, if it goes on for five or six, seven, eight, nine, 10 weeks and there’s no end in sight, we’re in trouble.I don’t believe that’s going to happen. I don’t think Donald Trump’s going to allow that to happen. My fear, and I said this yesterday, my fear is he’s going to cut and run after four weeks if we made the objectives that he wants or not. He’s going to cut and run because he doesn’t want to see before this election, the economy get blown up. But the Fed is not going to cut next. In two weeks, they’re not going to cut interest rates at all.I don’t think they’re going to cut interest rates at least until September. That’s just my opinion. But for the most part, this war is how long it’s going to last is what it’s going to mean for the economy. If we get rid of this regime, it’s what it means for your future and the future of the world and a possible World War III. I’ll be right back.

Bob BarneyAnd I want to get into something else that bothers me about this war. And it really does bother me.And I think it’s got to be discussed again. And that is the corruption within this administration that just keeps rearing its ugly head. And someday this is going to explode. But listen to this report. This is major legal news. While Americans are struggling at home, a few government insiders are making massive profits by betting on war. They use an online gambling account called polymarket. And here an account called Maga My Man placed a bet on exactly when the US would strike Iran. That account turned an $87,000 bet into over half a million dollars by placing their wager exactly 71 minutes before the first missile struck. But as bad as that sounds, it actually gets worse. At least six other polymarket accounts profited over $1.2 million by betting that the US would strike Iran on February 28. These accounts place their bets within hours or even minutes of the strikes. They had little or no prior betting history, which means the timing of this war was the one bet they knew they could win. Yet still, there is more fuckery afoot here. Over half a billion dollars was wagered on various bets related to the Iran war on polymarket this weekend. And similar bets were made moments before the US struck Venezuela back in January. And there’s a common thread between these bets and the people making them that is absolutely chilling. The bets are being placed by new or relatively new accounts. Some accounts place small decoy bets so that they don’t look like insiders. Others don’t even bother. The bets are made on very specific questions such as exactly when a US strike will occur, which leads anyone with two eyeballs and a brain to conclude government insiders are using your tax dollars to fund wars which they then gamble on using insider information to make massive profits while bombs fall.It is not a trading opportunity. This is corruption. It is corruption and corruption at the highest levels.Kristi Noem running around and $200 million worth of private jets with custom beds for her and her boyfriend can sleep together on even though both of them are married. If that doesn’t disgust you in your claim to be a moral, religious, Christian person who supports President Trump and his administration, and if it doesn’t bother you that your director of Homeland Security is shacking up with her chief of staff while she’s still married and he is too, and you don’t see a moral problem there, then I’m sorry. You are a moral problem in your own right. This is what’s going on here. We’re having corruption. We’re having all kinds. The Commerce Secretary with his Jeffrey Epstein connections, Lutnick is his name. This stuff just don’t go away and it’s just surrounding this very, very corrupt administration. I said this three or four times and I’ll say it again on the Friday wrap-up.You have to go back to the President Grant administration to find corruption surrounding thecabinet as you see today where you can spend $100,000 and join a club owned by Donald Trump’s son, Don Jr., and be guaranteed to hobnob with the cabinet members and the President and Vice President themselves. That’s not corruption. You thought it was corruption when it was Hunter Biden doing it, but now all of a sudden these America First mega people don’t have to talkabout it.They don’t even have a problem with it. It’s what everybody does. It was a big problem. It wasn’t what everybody should do when the Bidens were doing it and the same thing is going on right now. Now people are profiting off a war where six Americans at least are dead. I have a problem with it and I hope it gets better before we get through with this war and this administration. On our next subject, and this is really disgusting as far as I’m concerned, and I think Pete Hegseth’s got his fingerprints, the phony Christian who fooled around on his wife, Pete Hegseth. A damning new report found that evangelical Christian fundamentalism is underpinning U.S. military action in Iran. U.S. President Donald Trump announced Saturday that his U.S. and Israel launched joint operations against the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and dozens of his higher aides. However, this is what happened here. A fresh report found that hundreds of U.S. troops across dozens of units and installations have submitted complaints to the non-profit watchdog group the Military Religious Freedom Foundation, which is MRFF for the initials, since the attack about combat unit commanders providing Christian reasoning for the war, during which at least four U.S. troops have already been killed, six now, and independent journalist Jonathan Larson. Now what was the message that these commanders gave to their soldiers? These commanders told their soldiers, quote, Donald Trump was anointed by Jesus Christ to start this Iranian war and that it is a holy war that Jesus Christ has put on the shoulders of Donald Trump and he has anointed him.Anointing means either a religious messiah-type obligation, you know, or a kingship. So these military commanders are saying that Donald Trump has been anointed or he’s been anointed either a messiah or a king over the American people in order to fulfill Jesus’s wishes. That is blasphemy. That is so, so absolute disgusting that God Almighty will not tolerate such behavior. I’m sorry, but America is getting ready to lose a war if we have commanders doing this because God will not tolerate it. Read your Bible, whatever happened when Israel decided to go their own way and decide what God wanted when God told them not to do something and they did it anyway and they said God was for them.See what happened to them. Read your Bible. Read Kings and Chronicles, for example, 1 and 2 Samuel and see what can happen when you’re arrogance and you’re absolute twisting the Word of God in order to do a political point what it means and what God thinks about it.I am more upset about this than probably anything I’ve actually talked about in the last year. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior. These people who did this should be fired, plain and simple, fired. On that note, before we go to a commercial break, I want to point out that this week only over the tribes or the nations that are Israeli descents, the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, was there this eclipse of the moon where the moon turned blood red as prophesied in the Bible what would happen in times. Now, I’m not saying that’s what it means here, but I do not think it’s just a coincidence that God sends some kind of a message here during the time we’re attacking Iran with our bombers. If we want God’s support in what we do, we better go to God first and we better pray to God for his mercy and for his wisdom and we better not tell the American people that God is on our side when God has said no such thing. We have a right to go to this war. I said this war is a justified war. We have to stop the Iranians. We have to stop them from getting a bomb. We also have to stop them from terrorizing their neighbors, but at the same time, we don’t have to abuse the name of God to justify what we’re doing in order to get people to think that God is behind something when God has or has not explicitly said he’s behind it at all. And this idea that whatever Donald Trump does with some of these mega idiots that whatever he does is the will of God is blasphemy. It’s blasphemy. It’s disgusting. And I’m telling you right now, if it continues, the United States of America will suffer military defeats like it’s never seen in its history if God turns his back on this nation, which for the most part in military action, God has not done even in Vietnam.I’ll be right back after this message with The Plain Truth.

We have stories like how milk zaps away tooth decay or for example, how toxic water in the United States is worse than the third world countries or studies on how to fix prostate cancer or other cancers as well.Stories on why magnesium may produce against DNA damage. These are the stories that you can find on Your Health Today, which are stories you’re not going to find too many places or in one single place like you will in Your Health Today. It’s just one of the features that we have on The Plain Truth website. It’s The Plain Truth today. Go there every day. Well, we’re back in a few last stories I want to get into for the four minutes that’s left.Bob BarneyI see finally, Kristie Noem was let go, which is way overdue. She actually needed to be fired months and months ago. We reported earlier about how she was embarrassed or her family was embarrassed by questions in Congress about her having an affair with her chief of staff, which has basically been proven to be accurate. The person never belonged, she never belonged in the job. She did a miserable job. The next one that really has to go is Pam Bondi and that’s the story there. The last thing I want to get into is an obituary because I think the person deserves a little bit of mention here and that is Lou Holtz passed away the other day. I think it was Tuesday when he died, but he was 89 years old. He lived a good life, but he was a great coach for children or for kids in college. He was a great role model. I got to see him one time give a speech. It was pretty funny. He made fun of how when he became a coach that he thought he could never live up to thepeople of the past for Notre Dame and he turned out to be the greatest coach Notre Dame ever had. The other thing Lou Holtz had was really a patriotism. He had a love for America and he also had a way of talking to people that made them feel important. He also had mentoring skills for everybody that was under him. I don’t think you’d ever find anybody that played on his teams that ever thought he wasn’t the greatest coach of all times. His influence extended far behind football by the way.The Holtz Charitable Foundation and many players, colleagues, and other staff members will remember all of his charitable givings. The initiative of the Holtz Heroes Foundation, it was titled Bobby Satterfield Fund, seeks to help athletes and their families that experience financial strain, mental health problems, or physical ailments such as addiction or unforeseen job losses after they have graduated from college. He was a true hero for Notre Dame and someone that I think more Americans should be able to look up to.Here’s an example of one of his speeches. I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth, I know. I was born in Fallsby, West Virginia.

LOU HOLTZ
I was born with a silver spoon And I went by where I was born last night about 10 30. I was born in a cellar at home, delivered by Dr. McGraw. We had one bedroom for my sister, myself, and my parents. We had a half bath and a kitchen. Seven and a half years we lived in that place. There was no welfare. There was no food stamps. There was no safety net. But I always had plenty to eat.Because every time I asked for a second, my dad would say, no, you had plenty. But the reason I was born with a silver spoon, my dad had only gone to the third grade. That’s all the education he had.But why was I born with a silver spoon in my mouth? Because I was taught by my parents. The life’s a matter of making choices, wherever you are, good or bad, because the choices you make. Don’t blame anybody else. But if you get an education, you’re willing to work and overcome problems and difficulties. In this great country, you can amount to something. That’s why I was born with a silver spoon.I was in this country, and I was taught personal responsibility for choices you make. When we talk about a commitment to excellence, that’s a choice you make. What do you want to do? Having hopes and dreams and ambitions.See, I think that is absolutely critical. Don’t make the mistake I made. I’ve done a lot of dumb things, but let me tell you the one thing I regret. We went to the University of Notre Dame, we took a program on the bottom, we took it to the very top. And for nine straight years, we went to a January one bowl, the sugar, the cotton, the orange, and the fiesta. Nobody’s done it before.Nobody’s done it since. We put it on top and we maintained it. That’s the thing I regret the most.See, there’s a rule of life, it’s either you’re growing or you’re dying. The tree’s either growing or it’s dying. So is grass, so is a marriage, so is a business, so is a person.Doesn’t have a thing to do with age, my birthday candles cost more than a cake. But it has everything to do with my trying to get better, my trying to improve. We got on top and say, you know, this is pretty good, let’s maintain it.Let’s not take any risk. We finished second in the country at Notre Dame, everybody called me an idiot. Guy finishes last in medical school, they call him doctor. That doesn’t seem fair. When I left Notre Dame, I never thought I’d coach again. Where’d you go from Notre Dame, according to my mother, you go directly to heaven, you sit by the pope.Bob Barney Well, that’s an example of Lou Holtz’s mentoring and his humor. He was a very humorous guy, he was a very nice guy, and he will be missed by the people of Notre Dame and by this country looking for someone to look up to.Anyway, that’s what I had to say about his abilities. Finally, I want to go over what’s going on this weekend. I do not have, we’re traveling, as I said, we do not have a Sunday show figured out.We will probably do that not until Saturday sometime. But tomorrow, of course, is the Sabbath day. Tomorrow morning’s Sabbath broadcast at 7.11 a.m. is, did the flood of Noah really occur? That’s a question that so many people who claim they’re religious, who are religious, who believe in the Bible, do not believe the story of the flood. They do not believe the story of Adam and Eve. Yet, you will listen to this broadcast tomorrow and you will hear a scientific explanation of how the flood occurred, why it occurred, and how youknow it occurred by a very smart man, the man that I learned a lot from, Garner Ten Armstrong.Did the flood of Noah really occur? I really hope that you take the time tomorrow morning, it’s a 29-minute show, just like these shows are, and listen to the argument that, yes, Noah’s flood did occur just as the Bible said it did.Not only did Noah’s flood prove the calendar that we talk about, but it also reshaped the earth as we know it, including probably slowed down the earth’s rotation from 360 days to 365 days. So that’s tomorrow morning at 7.11 a.m., it’s the Sabbath day, and then tomorrow evening at 7.11 p.m., remember, we do not have a noontime show, we are going to have a John Steinbeck short story called The Snake, and it is a radio broadcast, I believe Mr. Hanson is what it says on YouTube, is who narrates this story by John Steinbeck called The Snake, and we try to put up entertaining shows on Saturday night. We no longer put too many Westerns up there because Wednesday is usually Western night. Now this last past weekend, we did not have a Western night because there was so much breaking news about the war going on with the United States, Israel, and Iran, or United States, Judah, and Iran, but anyway, tomorrow night at 7.11 p.m. will be The Snake by John Steinbeck. Well, that’s tomorrow’s programming. We’ll announce over the weekend somewhere, Sunday’s program, if not, just come in Sunday morning, 7.11 a.m., and you’ll have about an hour program, wrap it up, somebody else on YouTube wrapping up the week’s news as a ending of my wrap-up here today, a like final update on the week’s news.So I do wish and pray that everyone has a safe weekend, that everyone discovers the Sabbath day, that is the day of God, and that everybody’s back here again Monday for another edition of The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by Bob Barney and ThePlainTruth.com on our noontime program. Remember, Mondays through Fridays, we have shows three times a day, 7.11 a.m., 7.11 p.m., and noontime, which is many times my shows. The Friday wrap-up is always now, usually on Friday at 7.11 p.m. Until Monday, Bob Barney saying stay safe, be happy, and bye-bye.
