American nuke submarines being sent to Russia by Donald Trump last week, and what could that mean? This is Bob Barney for the Plain Truth Today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com, and I want to talk about something that I do think is news for you personally, if you’re listening to this broadcast, and what it could mean for you, the future of this country, and for the world, and according to Bible prophecy.

0:28And I am not one of those, I’m gonna go back and keep, I always say this, I am not one of these doomsdayers who constantly say the end of the world is gonna come in your lifetime, so send me some money here. Because first of all, we don’t take your money, and second of all, we don’t take your money. And second of all, I don’t know, and no one knows when Christ’s return is going to be.

0:46We know when it cannot be, and it cannot be tomorrow, and it can’t be this week, and it can’t be next week, because there are many things the Bible tells us we have to look out for that is not happening. There is no temple in Jerusalem, and there will be a temple.

0:59The Bible’s clear about that. But I wanna go back many years when I was first listening to Garnerted Armstrong back in 1975, the summer of 1975. I was running a little vegetable market. I’ve told you this story before in Connecticut. It had been run by a woman who was very, first woman state senator in the whole state of Connecticut

1:23back in the 1920s and 30s. And she ran a vegetable, flour and vegetable stand starting in the 1930s. And at one time, and it would still be the case, it was the oldest existing farm stand in the state of Connecticut when I took it over.

1:42She sold the property to Kimberly Clark. They turned it into a paper dump and they didn’t want anybody to know it. And when I was only 14 years old, I started running the stand for myself. It put me through college.

1:54And believe it or not, I think I told the story, but if I didn’t, it started TAMCO, our family business that my wife and I, TAMCO named after my wife and I, Tampco named after my wife Tammy, that we started back in 1989. And in 1988, we went back after an eight-year hiatus. My mom and dad ran the stand after I moved to Florida from Connecticut, and we went back there in the summertime of 1988,

2:21and we ran the stand because it always made a lot of money really quickly in about 12 to 15 weeks You made a year’s worth of income We catered to New York City people who came to the Lake Candlewood area of New Milford, Connecticut And they spent a lot of money if there was good fresh vegetables, especially corn tomatoes squash cucumbers things like that and we made enough money that year to pay off all our medical debts and all of our debts and had enough money to start Tamco. Very on a shoestring budget but we started it. But by 1975 I was 20 years

2:55old and I had started listening to Garnertred Armstrong. I thought at first he was a CBS News commentator. if anybody, and we play his program some time to time, if anybody ever listened to his voice and listened to his presentation, you would never know until he said it one day that he was actually an evangelist or had anything to do with religion or a church. He sounded like every other CBS News commentators of the day when he was on

3:22radio, in between CBS commentators on a CBS News channel. That was talk radio back then, wasn’t Rush Limbaugh and places like people like that. It was big people like Eric Severide and Walter Cronkite and CBS people and I would listen to that every day. My degree that I was going for in the University of Connecticut was political science. I had a minor or I

3:52really could have a degree in political science or history or actually English lit, but I had enough credits on all three subjects in order to get a degree in any one I wanted, but I took my degree in political science. That was what I thought was going to be my calling. But to make a long story short, back in the summer of 1975 when I was listening to Ted, and I told you the story how one day he admitted he was an evangelist and I hated religion, I hated evangelists, and I hated Christianity

4:20then. I was an atheist. And I turned him off for about a week. But he was so intriguing, listen to his point of view of world affairs, he was so intriguing it kept me coming back to listen to him after about a week or so hiatus, saying I’d never listen to him again. But I did. But one day he was talking about the thing that kept America from World War III, a nuclear World War III. And although I was studying all kinds of political science of the day, diplomacy, history, modern history, international relations, I had

4:58not heard this story that Garner Ted was telling. Garner Ted Armstrong was a very intelligent man. If he ever ran for office he would have made a very good president or senator or something because he was absolutely a very smart man and he had, and I’ve met him and I actually worked for him for a while when he broke away from the Worldwide Church of God and started his own in Tyler, Texas. I worked for him and wrote a few articles for him. I still have some saved

5:25as mementos, but he was a very intelligent man. And he gave the story of, at the time, I think it was 18, maybe 16 or 18, nuclear submarines, attack submarines, that each one had either 10 or 12 missiles that when fired, each missile then had another 10 or 20 warheads on it, and every submarine could destroy every single Russian city by themselves. But there was like 18 of them, so we could have destroyed our submarines alone. Nothing about our intercontinental ballistic missiles, which took an hour to get to Russia, and it would cause a catastrophic environment for both America with mutually assured destruction, that if we launched our missiles or they launched

6:19their missiles, there was plenty of time for the other side to launch theirs. But the thing that I did not know, he explained was we had these submarines which could sit in actual Russian waters, deep Russian waters, and at any time launch these missiles which would take all but 20 minutes to get to all its Russian targets. And Russia would not have time to retaliate at all. And that those submarines, as Garner Tedd pointed out, was the one reason why America was not

6:53going to face a World War III, a nuclear World War III with Russia. As a matter of fact, when everybody was saying back in that time, if you lived in that time you would understand this, that everyone thought, especially your liberals, thought that the world was going to end in a nuclear world war with Russia. Russia was the enemy and I remember listening to Garner Ted saying Russia was not the enemy and I was at the time in political science classes at the University of Connecticut and I too agreed with that. I thought

7:22Russia was always more bark than bite and more paper tiger with that. I thought Russia was always more bark than bite and more paper tiger than not. I think the Ukraine war, by the way, is proving the point that Russia cannot even beat Ukraine. They were not the power that we made them out to be and that is because we have a military-industrial complex that actually makes money by scaring the people to keep spending stupid money to build armaments that we did not need. We did not need some 15,000 ICBM missiles. These submarines alone could

7:55destroy a continent. One submarine could destroy an entire continent, and we had at the time 18. Well now, in my research last week after I heard Donald Trump saying he was sending two of these submarines off the coast of Russia because Russia had been giving all of these really ballistic bombastic remarks about maybe they’re gonna cause World War three, that he sent these submarines, two of them, which could, those two alone could destroy Russia twice

8:26over or more than twice over. But I found out now there are 54 of these submarines, not just 18 or 16, whatever they were, 1975, and that these submarines are undetectable. They’re nuclear and they can sit off the waters. They have no heat source that can be found. The radiation is so well contained in these submarines, they produce no heat. And these submarines are the biggest fear that the Soviet Union really had against the United States for all those years. And Ronald Reagan used those submarines and with his advent of the Star Wars program, which would actually knock down any Soviet ICBM

9:16missile being launched to America, it actually made Russia’s nuclear arsenal immaterial. That’s what Ronald Reagan did. And part of the submarine fleet was to present this nuclear threat to the Soviet Union at the time that they could be annihilated in just a few minutes and would not have time to even react. And like I said, now we have 54 of those.

9:42Now let me go back here a little bit and say one thing about Donald Trump announcing he was sending two nuke submarines to Russian waters or outside of Russian waters. They will probably be in Russian waters, but I got news for you.

9:54In my opinion, I know some people who’ve been on these submarines. I worked for one who was part of this, and actually he was out on one one time after he was out of the Navy and they asked him where his house was and it was in Williamsburg and he gave the address and on the

10:14screen they got the picture of Virginia then picture of Williamsburg then a picture of his his housing development and a picture of his house and couldn’t send a ICBM and destroy his house and that’s how accurate they were and we’re talking about 1989. So just think how far advanced these 54 submarines are today. In fact in the missile launch on the Iranian nuke sites just a few months ago, it was two submarines that did most of the damage, more than, in my estimation, more of the damage

10:52than even those bunker-busting bombs did, so just to be aware of that. But these submarines are probably always off Russia, they’re probably always off China, they’re probably always near Iran and in the Middle East. It’s just something that we don’t admit. We never say where these submarines are, we never even give a hint where they could be. I would imagine people in the Navy and people in the intelligence world was not happy that Donald Trump announced he was sending two submarines there because they’re probably already there. And the

11:29other joke about this whole idea is the Democrats just simply cannot stop hating Trump and playing politics. I heard a guy on News Nation, on The Hill is the name of the Sunday show, say how it was stupid for Donald Trump to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to send these nuclear submarines off the coast of Russia. It was just, you know, not a good way to spend money. And I laughed and I thought to myself, these submarines are there anyway, he didn’t send anything, he’s just making an announcement to make

12:02it known to the world that Russia can talk all they want about how powerful they are, ask Ukraine, which they can’t defeat. And this was a message that I understand Putin, a former KGB agent and in charge of the KGB back in his day, his youth, I’m sure he understands the power of these submarines and that his place in Moscow, including Moscow in general, would be wiped out in a matter of minutes if they tried to launch some kind of attack on Poland or Finland or even Eastern Europe or

12:40Germany. You know, Germany, just for a backup situation here, they for the first time since World War Two are building air raid and bomb shelters in case the Soviet Union was to raise their ugly head and send an attack to Germany. And I just find that amazing because we’re watching, in all of this, we’re watching the re-emergence of a strong Germany and eventually, if you listen to this program very long, you’re gonna know my contention, that is our

13:18real enemy. Our enemy is not China. China is going to be neutralized, in my humble opinion, by a re-armed Japan, which is happening right now. And before long, I predict Japan will have the atomic bomb. And China and Xi Jinping are not being very intelligent with their boastfully being aggressive in the Pacific near Japan, allowing the North Koreans to send rockets over Japan, you know, that could have missiles, I’m sorry, could have atomic bombs on them.

13:55And all they are doing is they are giving excuse for the right wing of Japan, the military industrialists themselves, they’re not gone. Those people who brought Japan into World War II are still somewhere in the foundation of that country and all they need is a fearful Japanese public to give them the power to start rearming themselves. They’re already building an aircraft carrier, again the first time they built an aircraft carrier since World War II to use against us, and I think we’re

14:30gonna see a very belligerent, powerful Japan probably in 10 to 20 years or less. And we’re also gonna see a belligerent and powerful Germany, a NATO without America in it, because I think we’re going to be kicked out of NATO. Donald Trump is so happy they’re spending 5% of their GDP for the first time and he’s taking credit for that. And he should take credit for that because he did cause it to happen, but what I don’t think he’s

14:58going to want to take credit for, and that is that they’re going to use that money that they’re putting into a European army, they recall NATO today, which was gonna end up being a European army without the United States in it, and they’re gonna be a nuclear power. They’re gonna have the A-bomb, the H-bomb,

15:17and everything else going along with it. And they are, according to our Bible that I believe is the prophecy of our future, and if you follow the Bible and its prophecy and understand who the players are, you’re gonna know who the enemies are. And the enemy of the United States and of the free people of the world is not China. That’s just a boondoggle by, again, the

15:39military-industrial complex in America trying to scare Americans about the Chinese threat to spend all kinds of money on arms we do not need and military aircraft we do not need, not against China anyway. And at the same time we’re going to empower Japan and Europe to rearm themselves and they are, according to the Bible, the real threat for America, for

16:05Western Europe. When I say Western Europe, I’m talking about the Israel, lost Israel nations of Western Europe, which are England, Scotland, Ireland, Denmark, France, the Netherlands, Holland. These are all lost tribes of Israel. They are the tribes that have been forgotten in history, but if you know who the players are, you know they are those who the countries are. And they are going to be dominated by this Central European power, but unlike World War II, when Hitler actually went to war with the

16:40Catholic Church, this next despot, which is called in the book of Daniel the King of the North in Revelation the Antichrist, this despot is going to take over Western Europe as Hitler did in World War II, but unlike World War II, this one is going to align himself with the Catholic Church. He’s not going to make the Catholic Church one of the enemies like Hitler did. It was one of the reasons Hitler was doomed from

17:09the start. The other reason Hitler was doomed from the start is he allowed himself to get torn into a two-front war. He attacked Russia and then he attacked England, and that gave the United States entry into the war, and we started a war in Africa, then to Sicily, then to Italy, and then finally to France, and that forced Germany to really give up

17:34on their fight against Russia, and Russia then conquered the Germans in their homeland and in Eastern Europe, something that many people today do not understand about World War II. But what we’re gonna see here is this new alliance

17:50between this beast and the Catholic Church, and it’s the final last revival of the Holy Roman Empire, which is gonna lead directly to the tribulation, the taking over of a temple in Jerusalem where this Antichrist will make himself God of God and King of Kings and put the abomination that causes desolation, as talked about in Matthew 24, in place

18:16which brings the return of Jesus Christ to save the world from its own destruction that could happen. I mean, in my generation we grew up knowing the plain truth about what nuclear world war meant. I’m afraid today too many people, because they have been out of the Cold War for so long, they do not understand the terror of a nuclear war. I’ll be right back. We don’t know until how he plays forth these actions, but Russia has got to be contained from trying to go into Eastern Europe, because when they go into Eastern Europe and they go into Poland and

19:58maybe even go into Norway or Finland, then we’re gonna see that beast come out of Germany and come out of the Eastern, I mean, I’m sorry, the Central European nations and the Catholic Church. So it’s a warning sign because it means a lot for you and your family. This is the news you really need to know about, not what’s happening between J-Lo and Beyonce and all this other so-called news that you’re fed every day that really doesn’t mean anything except, you know, Hollywood star worship,

20:33which is a form of idolatry anyway. It makes no difference to you. Whoever J-Lo is shacking up with or Beyonce’s with or this star with, or this star’s cheating on, that doesn’t have anything to do with your life. It has nothing to do with your job. It has nothing to do with your future, or your family’s future,

20:51or America’s future for that matter. It has something to do with America’s future of letting itself go down into decadence. And that’s what we are as a nation today. We watch these reality shows, which are not really reality shows,

21:06they’re as fake as the old time wrestling. And we as a country have really become ignorant of the real things that we should worry about in this world. And a nuclear war is one of those things. As I said just a minute ago, people of my generation understand what a nuclear war

21:26means. Too many people today, too many people who think they’re intelligent and they’re not, think they can survive a nuclear war. They’re making plans to have survivalists in Montana or they’re gonna survive and they’re gonna put away food for 25 years, they’re gonna put bunkers under the ground and they don’t even realize if there’s a total nuclear war, all they did is prolong their life by a few months if that, and they prolonged their life in a misery

21:54state because they’re gonna die a slow death of either radiation poisoning or even worse than that, a nuclear winner, or even worse than that a nuclear winner or even worse than that just starving to death because no crops will grow on the world and their food supply will soon run out you’ll have a Mad Max situation where people will kill each other for the food that they already have or the weapons they have or the gasoline or fuel that they have and that is what the movies

22:24of the past were all about, war games and Mad Max and Dr. Strangelove and all of these movies back in the 50s, 60s, 70s, and early 80s because that is when people were really living under the threat of the bomb and many people thought they were gonna be living through that and it was gonna be the Soviet Union that brought that. I’ve known, as well as other people who really know the Bible know

22:49that that was not going to be the case. The case is still going to be that these countries like China, like Russia, are gonna cause the rearmament of the real villains. And so we’re gonna see a king in the north form as spoken by the Prophet Daniel, which we talked about, and you’re gonna see a king of the north form as spoken by the prophet Daniel, which we talked about, and you’re gonna see the formation of a United States of Islam, the king of the south,

23:12which probably will be located in Saudi Arabia, in my opinion, don’t have any biblical fact there, that’s just my opinion, I’m not a prophet of God, don’t ever think that when I give an opinion that God told me that opinion. I am not Isaiah or Jeremiah.

23:28I am somebody who has opinions, and I will always tell you when it’s an opinion or when it’s something stated in the Bible. My opinion you can take with a grain of salt, and you can say, well, he maybe knows what he’s talking about.

23:39But when I say the Bible says this, you should take that to the bank because that is the case that is never going to be wrong. The Bible, though people can’t keep finding fault with it, is always going to prove itself to be the plain truth which this show is named after. But we’re going to see Russia and places like China become less important in the world scene and we’re going to see the emergence of new beast. When I talk about the king of the south probably in

24:09Saudi Arabia we know there’s a king of the south and we know it’s going to be all the Muslim nations to the south of Europe and the most likely spot in my opinion is not it’s going to be Saudi Arabia. We know it’s not Egypt where it was historically. We know it’s not Egypt because it says in Revelation, I think it’s Revelation, Egypt will not escape the king of the south. So if Egypt does not escape it, it means they’re not the leader of it. So I still

24:39think it’s going to be a Saudi Arabia. It could be somebody that comes out of Iraq. It will not be, in my opinion, somebody that comes out of Babylon, which is Persia, which is Iran, but it could be, but it’s going to be somewhere there. You’re going to have this despot, a mini-Hitler type, come out of the King of the South, come out of the Arab, not just Arab, but the Muslim nations, and they’re gonna be at war constantly with Europe under the Antichrist. And this war has gone on for 2,000 or more, actually 2,400 years now. The Crusades was really battles between who? Kings of Europe and

25:20the kings and the leaders of the Arab world, the Muslim world, and that’s what the Crusades were about. They were talked about in the 11th chapter of Daniel when you see these wars go back and forth between the king in the north and the king in the south. But the final battles are still going to happen. The Jew is eventually going to be replaced by the Muslim as the enemies of Europe. I’m not saying the Jews are still not always going to be an enemy of the

25:49Antichrist because the Jewish people, along with the Americans, the English, and lost Israel, are the people of God, and believe it or not, Satan, who’s going to lead the Antichrist into his demise, hates Israel, hates anything to do with God, hates anything to do with the real Christians, not the false pseudo-Christians that he, Satan, is really in charge of deceiving the whole world

26:55Christianity that we have on us today that the Antichrist is going to use in his favor and for his purpose and deceive many. Christ said, do not be deceived for many will come in my name, in Christ’s name, saying that Jesus Christ is the Messiah. But don’t be deceived because they’re lying to you. And how do you know they’re lying to you? Because they practice lawlessness. They say the law has been abolished, and by saying the law has been abolished they are judging God’s law as being abolished and they are that’s almost

27:35blasphemy maybe it is blasphemy to call what God calls holy his law is holy but God calls holy to say it is no longer in force, and to practice lawlessness is the quickest way you can find yourselves at odds with not only Jesus Christ but the Father in heaven. But that’s what I have to talk about today. I want to talk about to watch what’s going on in Europe and in the South, the King of the South area, the United States of Islam,

28:05but also watch what’s happening in world events which will bring about the end time situation. I don’t believe it’s here. I don’t believe we’re that close to it here. I believe that the bluff that Donald Trump is going to do, if he does it properly, is going to work. Because like I said, Putin, of all the people on this earth knows

28:25what those submarines can do to his regime to his people to his home and to Moscow and to the rest of Russia. It’s a it’s a very smart move on Donald Trump’s part. I know the Democrats are going to be against it. He’s a warmonger. He’s trying to cause a war and I don’t believe that’s the case. I think if Donald Trump has a weakness is he doesn’t want to cause wars. He wants to settle all wars even in a weakened state which causes more and bloodier wars. Douglas MacArthur one time said that
