The other day when I was talking about the floods in Texas and tragedies happening in the United States, be it California fires or the hurricane that swept through North Carolina and Asheville in particular, I made a statement about, is God sending us a message? And I wanted to further this in a different whole broadcast today. And if you remember right, I compared it to when you read in the books of Kings and Chronicles.

Hi, this is Bob Barney for The Plain Truth today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com. And I wanted to get into something, a little study here.

3:23 This is not normally a Bible study type program, but to understand today’s news, sometimes you do have to understand what is being talked about in the Bible. There was a time after the death of Solomon when the kingdom of Israel, which was 13 tribes, 12 became 13 when the tribe of Joseph became two new tribes. So the 12 became 13. We explained that many times. I won’t get into that in this program. But there was a time after the breakup where the southern kingdom was named Judah because that’s where the Jews were. And that is the real name that Israel in the Middle East today should be called Judah and not Israel because the northern tribes, you look at any biblical map, you’ll see that I’m right. You look at the northern tribes and they’re always called Israel because wherever Manasseh and Ephraim abode, that is where the name Israel applied. That is why when I say today, when you read prophecy about Judah and Israel, Judah means the modern-day Jews. Israel means the modern-day Americans, Canadians, English- and English-speaking peoples around the world. It simply means that. I know a lot of people don’t want to believe that and they try to say that’s Anglo-Israelism.

4:59 Well, it is and it’s a provable fact. That is who we are. There was prophecies in the Bible given to Jacob that they would be, he would be the father, the progenitor of the greatest nation to have ever achieved greatness on the face of the earth and that is the United States of America. make a prediction. There will never be another nation with the greatness and the goodness and the God-fearingness as the United States of America was when we were climbing to the top of the heap of the world empires. But I’m going to read a few statements out of the Bible and see if you catch a pattern because I want to get into this pattern. I’m just starting out anywhere in two kings right now. In the 12th year of Joram, the son of Ahab, king of Israel, Uzziah, the son of Jeroam, king of Judah, began to reign. Now he was 22 years old when he became king and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother’s name was Athaliah, the granddaughter of Omri, the king of Israel, and he walked in the way of the house of Ahab. He did evil in the sight of the Lord as the house of Abahad had done. And now we just go to a few new chapters and we see in the seventh year of Jehu, Joash became the king and reigned 40 years in Jerusalem, another king of Judah, not Israel. His mother’s name was Zebia of Beersheba. He did what was right in the sight of the Lord. The last one, did evil, remember? He did right in the sight of the Lord and all the days in which he was instructed by the high priest. So then we go to the next one. In the 23rd year of Joash, the son of Uzziah, king of Judah, Jehoahaz, the son of Jehu, became the king over Israel and he reigned in Samaria 17 years. And he did evil in the sight of the Lord and followed the sins of Jeroboam, the son of Nebat. So we go even further up and it says in the 27th year of Joash, king of Judah, Jehoahaz became king over Israel in Samarita and he reigned for 16 years. And again, he did evil in the sight of the Lord and he did not depart from all the sins of Jeroboam. He walked in them, in fact, those sins.

6:21 Now the rest of his acts, so he didn’t last that long and don’t talk too much. In the second year of Joash, the son of Jehoahaz, king of Israel, Amaziah, son of Joash, king of Judah, became king. And he was 25 years old when he became king. Now it says, and he did what was right in the sight of the Lord and he did not act like his father, and he acted like his father David. He did not act like his father Joash. In the 15th year, another king, we have Amaziah, son of king Joash, king of Judah, and Jeroboam, son of Joash, king of Israel, became king in Samaria and reigned 41 years. And he did evil in the sight of the Lord. And we have another king, he reigned 16 years and he did what was right in the sight of the Lord. I’m trying to make a pattern here. We’re going to talk about it today. In the 38th year of the king of Judah, Zechariah, son of Jeroboam, reigned over Israel in Samaria for six months. And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, as did his fathers. He did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam, who had made Israel sin. And it goes on, this is the word of the Lord, which he spoke to Jehu, your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation, because Jehu did what was right in the sight of the Lord. So I’m not going to go any further than that.

7:21 Maybe I’ll go up to one last one here. Now it came to pass in the third year of Hosea, son of Elah, king of Israel, that Hezekiah, the son of Ahaz, king of Judah, began to reign. He was 25 years old when he became king, and he reigned for 29 years in Jerusalem. And he did right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father, or I should say his forefather, but they call it his father. I think he’s a great grandson. David had done before him. And he removed all the high places and he broke down the sacred pillars and cut down the wooden images and broke to pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made, because the children of Israel began worshiping it. He trusted in the Lord of God of Israel so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah to come later on. And what I was saying before was, is God giving us a message in these catastrophes that are happening to America, which honestly, when you think about it, is breaking the back of the financial system of America. Insurance companies are spending in the hundreds of billions of dollars in areas where they cannot recoup their losses. Many times, like in California, we see it. And in Florida and a lot of the hurricanes, smaller insurance companies just go out of business. They actually close up, declare bankruptcy, and the people are left hanging for many years until maybe the state or the federal government can bail them out. Now, in this new budget that just passed, and I call it the big ugly budget, not the big beautiful budget bill, that just passed Congress and that Donald Trump signed, we are seeing cuts in FEMA, we’re seeing cuts in NOAA, that is our weather predicting service that is critical in finding hurricanes and bad weather and to notify people. And there are people to this right now still claiming in the Texas floods the adequate warning for that flood rising so quickly was not given.

9:09 I’m not sure that is true. I’m thinking that might be a lot of anti-Trump bad press, which is always going to happen when somebody is not liked. But from what I knew, and I heard reports myself from a local broadcast in Virginia the day before actually naming the town Kerrville, and I thought of North Carolina or even Virginia, and they said this is in Texas, it may be pronounced even Kerrville, but they’re going to have some serious flash flooding. So that was a 24-hour notice at least. So there was notice. But anyway, I won’t get into the politics of that right now. I do want to say we have to ask ourselves as the American people that we are, are we in trouble with our God? And do we care? Or better yet, should we not care? Because if God is against us, we have a problem. We have a problem if the creator of the heaven and the earth and all of the universe thinks that he’s going to do bad to this country because we are not following God’s will. That’s something we have to really consider. And when I come back from this commercial break, I think that is what we’re going to exactly do, is consider that maybe God is not happy with our leaders, as we see here in Kings and Chronicles, and maybe not happy with us as a people.

Hi, we’re back with The Plain Truth Today.

This is Bob Barney, and are our leaders and our people causing us problems with our God? And I’ve been reading out of the book of Kings and a little bit of Chronicles, where we see in the past where Israel, which is the United States of America, England, and English speaking countries of the world in prophecy, and the Jews, which is the modern day state of Israel, which should be called Judah, are being blasted because of their leaders. Some are good in the sight of the Lord and some did evil in the sight of the Lord. And part of the evil is always going back to pagan worship, you know, worshiping Easter, for example. Yes, that is the name of a goddess. That’s the Germanic name of Ishtar that you find in the Bible. But Ishtar is the Easter that Christians today celebrate with the name Easter. It has nothing to do with Jesus Christ. It has nothing to do with his resurrection from the dead. It has everything to do with following a pagan religion that comes from the Catholic Church. Same as Sunday worship. Nowhere in the Bible is there a Sunday worship. It’s the Sabbath day that God made holy. That’s part of the top ten commandments. The number four, if you want to look it up for yourself, and in the ten commandments, which we are to observe today, they have not been abolished. The law is what makes us a Christian, not just following Jesus Christ. You can follow Jesus Christ and believe in him. The Apostle James, who was actually Jesus’ real half-brother, his mother was Mary. James makes it very clear in the book of James, you find in the New Testament, when he says, faith without works is dead.

You can say you believe in Jesus. That’s great. Satan believes in Jesus. He knows he exists, but he’s still the devil, as he points out. Just believing on Jesus is not enough. You have to obey God.

11:11 You have to obey Jesus and obey the law that Jesus wrote on stone in front of Moses with his very finger. Yes, the Lord of the book of Exodus, the Lord who came in a burning bush or a pillar of cloud at night in a daytime and a pillar of fire at night, was none other than the part of the Godhead who became Jesus Christ in the New Testament to die for our sins and to wash away our sins. That’s the plain truth of who Jesus really was in the Old Testament. He’s the God you read about that does all these miracles, and the same God who wrote the Ten Commandments. The Ten Commandments are important to Christ to this day. You cannot break the Ten Commandments and have eternal life unless you repent of breaking them. Let’s go through these commandments just a little bit here, just a few of them. You know, when people say the law has been abolished, so has the law against adultery been abolished? Is it okay for men or women to run around and have adulterous affairs on their husband or wife? Is that fine? Is that okay to do, and you can still be a Christian and have 10, 20, 30 girlfriends or boyfriends in the course of a marriage? Do you think that it’s okay to steal? Is it okay to murder someone? If you murder someone and you say, well, I’m a Christian, the law doesn’t apply to me. I have every right to murder anyone I want to.Do you think that’s going to work in a court of law? Do you think that’s going to work with any true Christian who sits there for a minute and say, well, how can you say that you’re a Christ-loving Christian and you’re going around as a serial killer murdering people? Well, how about the part of the law, the Ten Commandments, which says you should not use the Lord’s name in vain, or you should honor the Lord and trust him, you know, the first one, I am the Lord your God, there shall be no other gods before me. Are these laws no good to follow? And I don’t know a person, I don’t know one Christian who claims the law has been abolished, who believes that nine out of the Ten Commandments have not been abolished. Everyone will tell you, every Christian will tell you, every Sabbath, I’m sorry, every Sunday-keeping Christian will tell you that the first or the nine of the Ten Commandments have not been abolished, only that fourth one has been abolished. And does that make sense to you? But anyway, we’re going to get back on the subject about the people and their leaders not obeying God. And that is what the show is about today. And that is also foretold in all of the prophecies of the Old and New Testament. For example, I don’t think many people understand. I think a lot of the people who are Sabbatarians, who have listened to the Armstrongs over the years, I think they understand the concept that two-thirds of the Bible is prophecy, and about three-quarters of that prophecy has not yet been fulfilled. And that is a very important notice.

13:23 I think the average person out there who goes to Sunday school and Sunday church and follows Christmas and Easter, they have no idea that the book of Isaiah, most of it has not occurred yet. The book of Ezekiel has to do with the United States of America and not the people of his day. Matter of fact, he was talking to a people in his day that wasn’t even there. They had already been removed into captivity, and he became a watchman over the house of Israel. Israel was gone when he became the watchman. So, obviously, Ezekiel’s message was for a different time, and it’s probably for our time today. So, most people don’t even want to get into the Old Testament because they just don’t want to read all of these stories and prophecies, and they don’t know what’s been fulfilled, what has not been fulfilled, and so they want to read Psalms, Proverbs, and the New Testament, and only certain parts of the New Testament. They don’t want to read the parts of the New Testament that kind of suggest what they believe is not accurate. They don’t want to read the book of James, for example, or 1 Corinthians 15, or Revelations chapter 20, about when the dead come back to life and when the people who are not Christians come back to life. People just don’t want to read those parts of even the New Testament. They want to pick and choose, and sometimes they’re picking and choosing to their own destruction. But going back into these prophecies, do you know, when you understand who the players are, I keep talking about this all the time, that if you don’t know who Assyria is today in prophecy, who Babylon is today in prophecy, who Egypt is today in prophecy, Egypt is still Egypt, by the way, who the United States is in prophecy, who is Israel, who is Judah, who are these prophetic nations, if you don’t understand that, yes, you can still be a Christian, and you can still die for Christ, or live for Christ, or follow and obey all of the Ten Commandments. It makes no difference if you know the prophecies or not. But if you’re going to live through the tribulation, you may want to know what’s going to happen to you, because you’re not going to be raptured away. Another false teaching of a Pentecostalist-type church that teaches Christians will be wished to heaven, so they don’t have to go through the tribulation.

They just never read the Bible as a whole and realize that Christians are going to be martyred and live through the tribulation. But here is a prophecy from Isaiah, and if you don’t know who the players are, you don’t understand this prophecy, and I’m going to read it quickly. You find this with Isaiah 9, starting with verse 8, and it is explaining who does what to whom when it comes to Israel. The Lord sent word against Jacob. That is another name for Israel, because Jacob, who was renamed Israel, his name, Israel, he gave to his grandsons, Ephraim and Manasseh, if you go back to Genesis, I’m not going to get into it today, but there’s all kinds of articles on the plain truth, you can see so. Jacob was renamed Israel, and then he gave his name, Jacob or Israel, to Ephraim and Manasseh. So when you see in prophecy Israel spoken of, it’s United States and England and English-speaking people. If you see the name Jacob, like it’s a time of Jacob’s trouble, that is Israel. That is America and English-speaking peoples of the world. If you see a prophecy against Judah, or talking about Judah, that is the modern-day Jewish state of Israel, with the wrong name, it should be called Judah. But listen to this, all the people will know Ephraim, United States of America, and the inhabitants of Samaria, who say in pride and arrogance and heart, the bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild them. The sycamores are cut down, but we will replace them. Therefore the Lord shall set up adversaries against him, and the spurs of his enemies, the Syrians before the Philistines. And what this is saying, real quickly, because I’m reading the New King James Version, my Bible gives it a little easier to understand it, but Ephraim is United States, and they have an arrogance of pride. When the world trade towers fell, what is the thing they said the next day? We will rebuild them bigger than ever. Well, that’s what it’s saying here. The bricks have fallen down, but we will rebuild them with better stones. The sycamore trees have been cut down, but we will replace them with cedars, which are stronger than sycamore trees. You understand he’s talking about Ephraim, and the end times of their existence is going to be very boastful, proud, and arrogant peoples against God, and against God’s ways, and not in favor with God. Now we go on a little further, and we see what Ephraim and Manasseh does. Now, when you see Manasseh, that means you’re talking about England.

18:18 England, the United Kingdom, is Manasseh, and Ephraim is the United States of America. So listen to what it says. Manasseh, this is verse 21, chapter 9, verse 21, Manasseh, meaning England, and Ephraim, meaning America, together shall be against Judah. Does that make sense today, when you’re looking at what’s going on in the world today, but when you don’t know the players, you don’t understand it? It is a prophecy that was written some, what, 3,000, almost 2,700 years ago? It’s a prophecy that in the end times, because that’s what this is, end time type prophecy, and remember, end times does not mean tribulation. Our Bible says, and the prophets in the New Testament, the apostles say, that they were living in the end times 2,000 years ago. So we are all living in the end times. Are we living in the tribulation times? That’s for us to find out later. I don’t believe we are. Too many things that Revelation tells us, and Daniel tells us must happen, have not yet occurred. But we are in the end times. But I’m going to read this verse again in the right names. England shall devour Ephraim, I’m sorry, England shall devour America, and America, England, and together they shall be against the modern state of Israel. That is saying there is a coming a time when the two greatest allies of the Jewish people in the state of Israel, the United States of America, and England will actually turn on them. If we’re not seeing that already, this anti-Semitism going on throughout this country, and especially going on throughout England. London, for example, is almost totally a Muslim city, controlled by Muslims, the mayor is a Muslim, anti-Jewish, anti-Semitic Muslims control London. England is under the control of anti-Semites, and America is quickly becoming anti-Semitic. So when we understand who the players are, we also understand what is going to happen during the end times tribulation period when the United States of America, who turns on England, and we’re seeing that, look at these trade tariffs. I mean England did come and sign, but they still have a 10% tariff.

21:01 But England and America are destined to be at each other’s throats here in a few years. Maybe Donald Trump’s going to help that along with his bombastic attitude, which I don’t think is very presidential, and I don’t think is doing us any good right now. But anyway, we know when we read the book of Isaiah, for example, what is going to happen with the United States against England, and England against the United States, and both of us are going to slash the nation of Israel, which should be named Judah, in the back. That’s what it says. And it goes on, chapter 10, Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, who write misfortune, which they have prescribed themselves to rob the needy of justice and to take what is right from the poor and my people. And that is what goes on in this greedy capitalistic world we’re in. I’m a capitalist. There’s nothing wrong with capitalism. But capitalism is you and me in a small town selling vegetables against each other to the public, and we are both middle class, lower class people. We don’t have a lot of money. What happens to capitalism, however, is when one person becomes very wealthy some way or another, and now he’s got 100 times the fortune of the guy across the street, and he can put up big billboards, and he can undercut prices until the guy across the street, because he’s poor, goes out of business. And then that guy who is the rich man, who’s undercut the prices, now all of a sudden raises his prices to a ridiculous high, causing inflation. And this is what is going on in America today. This is what happened in that budget bill, the budget bill that we talk about all the time, the big ugly budget of Donald Trump and the Republicans in Congress.

They’re going to pay the fiddler for this.

23:21 When people realize what programs were cut and what programs were not cut, and it always seems the programs that help the people in power never get cut. We didn’t touch the military, and the military has so much redundancy, so many different aircraft doing the same thing. Do you know, I remember a story that the Marines can’t even talk to the Army, and the Army can’t talk to the Air Force in radio communications, because they’re all on different channels. They don’t even cooperate amongst themselves. This is a fallacy. This last budget, for example, Homeland Security has a bigger budget than Russia has for its entire military. Now think about it. Russia’s fighting a full-scale war against Ukraine, and they don’t spend as much money on their war machine as we’re spending on Homeland Security. And there was a time when MAGA-Republicans didn’t like Homeland Security. I remember a time they didn’t like the Patriot Act. I remember the time they didn’t like the government forcing your information to be given to them. I remember a time when the people who claimed they vote for Donald Trump because he was going to be against Real ID. You got to look up, and I’m probably going to do a show in the next few days on what is Real ID, because I don’t think most people understand that little star on their license, and what it means, and what they are giving up, and what it could mean biblically. So anyway, I just wanted to show you again just who the players are and what it means when you read prophecy. Now in that same chapter, chapter 10, Isaiah chapter 10, we know it’s the millennium.

25:34 It says, therefore it shall come to pass when the Lord has performed all his works on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem that he will say, I will punish the fruit of the arrogance of the king of Assyria and the glory of his haughty looks. Haughty is somebody that’s just arrogant again. And Assyria is Germany, because it is my belief, and I believe it’s biblically provable, that the German, Italian, Axis powers of World War II are going to reunite under a Holy Roman Empire, and they are going to bring havoc to the United States of America, to England, Western Europe, which is part of Israel. You know, I think I’ve told you before, France is Reuben. Denmark is Danmark, the mark of Dan. All the tribes, all the other 11 tribes, 12 tribes you can find between America, England, Denmark, Scandinavia, Ireland, Scotland, uh, even parts of Spain and even parts of Italy and Switzerland. But anyway, I’m out of time. I just wanted to get in to show you what it means when you do not understand prophecy and you don’t understand who the players are. You don’t understand what your leaders are doing to you. You don’t even understand what you’re standing for and what is going to happen to this nation if we do not get back to praying to God and asking God for forgiveness. We did so, we had a day of fasting and prayer last year to get Joe Biden out and Donald Trump in. God, in my opinion to this day, I believe put Donald Trump in power. Donald Trump, uh, I’m sorry, God placed all of these kings that you see before you in power. Go and someday read the books of Kings and Chronicles and read how God made this person king. He made a deal with them.

27:34 You follow my ways and I will bless you for four or five generations and your sons will always sit on the throne. And that king once in a while did right in the sight of the Lord, but his children did evil. And sometimes the Lord made a person a king who turned out to be arrogant himself. And the Lord says, I am sorry, like with Saul, I made Saul my king. I am sorry. And I think right now Donald Trump’s is not in good standing with God. And I think God is sorry he protected Donald Trump and he’s sorry he made him president because Donald Trump is not following the same path that he did in 2017, 2018, 2019. And we are the poor for it. And the American economy is going to suffer really quickly, a lot quicker than people want to believe. You listen to these cable shows and they say everything’s going right. Donald Trump’s got it all figured out. And even the ones that used to not trust in Donald Trump are saying that. I watch it and I say, boy, they all agree on one thing. Donald Trump is succeeding in everything he’s doing, which tells me he won’t be. Anyway, that’s it for today.

29:03 I wanted people just to take a moment to understand that the Bible gives you the clues you need to know what’s going on today, because you got to know who the players are. This is Bob Barney for The Plain Truth today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com, saying thank you for listening. We’ll be back again. Bye-bye.
