  Socialism, Communism and the Ten Commandments, By Bob Barney

What would God have to say about the idea of welfare, giving away somebody else’s money to take care of widows and orphans? Many people believe that the Bible, especially the New Testament, words of Christ in red, says you’re to take care of the orphans and the widows, and you’re to take care of the underprivileged, and when you take care of the poor among the people, then you’re doing it for him. But you notice Christ said, when you take care of the poor, not when government takes care of the poor, and that’s part two of communism in America, and what communism is really about. Yesterday, I left off and talked about how communism breaks the at least three, if not four, of the Ten Commandments of God, and it’s immoral.

Our Constitution was based on the morality of the Bible. If you like to believe that or not, it’s the case. The Founding Fathers, for the most part, were very religious and very Bible-reading.

I believe almost half, and I’ll research this for another broadcast when July 4th rolls around, but I believe about half of the signers of the Declaration were ministers of the Gospel, meaning good news. But yesterday, I gave you a little hint about playing a video. You can find this video on YouTube, by the way.

Ronald Reagan, back in the 1970s, had a five-minute radio show on most AM news stations. They were carried by many stations across the country, and he would give an opinion on a matter, and he would do so in such a concise, perfect way that in the three and a half minutes, because it was a minute and a half of advertising, in three and a half minutes, you really learned a lot about what he had to say, and it was very intriguing to listen to him, and he wrote all of these himself. One of those that really gets my interest is a little story he wrote about the modern Little Red Hen, and I’m going to play that now, and I hope the recording sounds good enough for you to understand it, but I think it will be.

It’s called, about a year ago, I imposed a little poetry on you. It was called, The Incredible Bread Machine, and made a lot of sense with reference to matters economic. You didn’t object too much, so having gotten away with it once, I’m going to try again.

This is a little treatise on basic economics called, The Modern Little Red Hen. Once upon a time, there was a little red hen who scratched about the barnyard until she uncovered some grains of wheat. She called her neighbors and said, If we plant this wheat, we shall have bread to eat.

Who will help me plant it? Not I, said the cow. Not I, said the duck. Not I, said the pig.

Not I, said the goose. Then I will, said the little red hen, and she did. The wheat grew tall and ripened into golden grain.

Who will help me reap my wheat, asked the little red hen. Not I, said the duck. Out of my classification, said the pig.

I’d lose my seniority, said the cow. I’d lose my unemployment compensation, said the goose. Then I will, said the little red hen, and she did.

At last, it came time to bake the bread. Who will help me bake bread, asked the little red hen. Well, that’d be overtime for me, said the cow.

I’d lose my welfare benefits, said the duck. I’m a dropout and never learned how, said the pig. Well, if I’m to be the only helper, that’s discrimination, said the goose.

Then I will, said the little red hen. She baked five loaves and held them up for her neighbors to see. They all wanted some, and in fact demanded a share.

But the little red hen said, No, I can eat the five loaves myself. Excess profits, cried the cow. Capitalist leech, screamed the duck.

I demand equal rights, yelled the goose. And the pig just grunted. And they painted unfair picket signs and marched round and round the little red hen, shouting obscenities.

When the government agent came, he said to the little red hen, You must not be greedy. But Iearned the bread, said the little red hen. Exactly, said the agent.

That’s the wonderful free enterprise system. Anyone in the barnyard can earn as much as he wants. But under our modern government regulations, the productive workers must divide their product with the idle.

And they lived happily ever after, including the little red hen, who smiled and clucked, I am grateful. I am grateful. But her neighbors wondered why she never again baked any more bread.

Thanks for listening. I don’t think anybody could have read that better than him, so I played it off of YouTube. And the story, short as it is, is poignant.

It just nails down exactly what happens when communism takes over a society. There’s another speech I might play that next week as a podcast of its own. I believe it’s about 10 or 12 minutes long by Ronald Reagan, back in the 19, I believe the 1950s maybe, or 60s, when he talks about Social Security and Medicare.

And I guess it would be the 60s because Medicare came in 1964. And how Medicare sounds good. Elderly people should be taken care of.

But is it the government’s job to take care of it? And that is the question. Because whenever the government does anything, it becomes bloated, it becomes inefficient, and in most cases, itbecomes corrupt. We saw this with the VA hospitals a few years ago, and we see this with anything the government touches.

The old saying that if the government was in control of the Sahara Desert, that there would be a shortage of sand within a few years. And that sounds crazy, but it’s the truth. Ronald Reagan was also very famous for his saying, the most terrible and scariest words in the English language was, I’m from the government, and I’m here to help you.

Well, no one from the government is here to help anybody except themselves. And what makes government happen longer? For a long time now, for at least 100 years, starting with Woodrow Wilson, and especially with Franklin Delano Roosevelt, America has toyed around and played around with socialism. And as Ronald Reagan pointed out in that speech about Medicare, that if someone was to call it liberalism versus socialism, and it’s really communism, then the people would listen and accept it, and it would sound good.

If you told them it was Marxist-Communist idea to do the Medicare, then people would have been against it, because they would realize there was no such thing as a free lunch. But if you offer something as one thing, and then you morph it into something else, then you have what we have today, which is a government that is out of control and becoming quickly a dictatorship. I’ve said in other broadcasts that many people do not know this, who don’t study history, but that the Roman Empire started as a republic form of government, the same type of government we had.

Now, they did not have a bicameral legislative body, a house of representatives like we do in a senate, but they did have a senate, and they were people of the elite class who made the laws for Rome and the Roman citizens. And it was a pseudo-democracy, and there was no emperor, there was no one to become a dictator, until Julius Caesar came along about 400 years after the birth of Rome. So, the Roman Republic lasted longer than the American Republic is today, just think about that.

But Rome fell to a dictator, and for the same reasons Rome fell, it looks to me like America is going in the same route. I’ve already told you that the Bible predicted what would happen to us when we would rebel against God’s laws, and the penalty for doing so would be horrendous. We are going through the horrendous penalties of Leviticus 26, you can look it up in your own Bible,read the whole chapter of Leviticus 26, and then compare that to Deuteronomy 28.

It’s the same thing said a little differently in both chapters, which is entitled Blessings and Cursings for Those Who Obey the Law of God. And if you follow the Ten Commandments, and you obey the law of God, and if government does the same thing, then there’s all kinds of blessings. Rain in due season, good crops, good weather, blessings of all type, good health, enemies running away from you, victorious in every battle you fight.

However, if you just obey God’s laws and the Ten Commandments, then God, in those two chapters, you will see quite adequately the punishment of a nation who does not follow God’s Ten Commandments. And that’s opposite of all the blessings. The aliens would overrun you, take over, and become your head.

The diseases and pestilence would be caused by inflammation in the body, that’s right in Deuteronomy 28, and we would start losing wars. This idea of giving away other people’s money did not start with FDR or Woodrow Wilson. There is a story, the other one I was going to tell you about, and I’m going to play a Rand Paul quoting the story here in a minute from C-SPAN.

But Davy Crockett, in the 1830s, we all know Davy Crockett is the hero of the Alamo, or the song, if you’re old enough like I am to remember the Davy Crockett song in the TV movies from Disney.But Davy Crockett was a congressman for a while, and he learned quickly from one of the people in his district who told him off when he was going to be trying to get re-elected about giving awayother people’s money. And Congress has no right to dip their hands into the public trust to makethem feel good.

And every time you give away money to poor people, to people who deserve to be given a helping hand, but you take it from the public treasury, you are stealing from the public, and you have no right to do so. And unfortunately, congresspeople, senators, presidents, just politicians in general, love to give things away to get re-elected, and people often like to get what they get. Unfortunately, there is no free lunch.

Somebody’s got to pay for that lunch. And ultimately, it’s the working class that pays for it. And when they stop working, the nation pays for it.

And finally, the nation suffers and falls from being any good. But let me play this Rand Paul thing with Davy Crockett talking to his colleagues in Congress. And here it is.

Paul brings up the questions of both constitutionality and also affordability. There was an essay written in 1867 that was published in Harper’s Magazine. It was called Not Yours to Give.

It’s the story of Davy Crockett as a congressman in the late 1820s. Like most stories of that vintage, some will argue that the story is an accurate rendition while others may say it is apocryphal. The moral of the story, however, is incontestable.

Davy Crockett only served two terms in Congress, but on one day in Congress, he was confronted with a bill to give money to the widow of a military officer. Davy Crockett arose and gave this speech. Mr. Speaker, I have as much respect for the memory of the deceased and as much sympathy for the suffering of the living if suffering there be as any man in the house, but we must not permit our respect for the dead or our sympathy for a part of the living to lead us into an act of injustice to the balance of the living.

We have the right as individuals to give away as much of our own money as we please in charity,but as members of Congress, we have no right so to appropriate a dollar of the public money.Davy Crockett continued, I’m the poorest man on this floor. I cannot vote for this bill, but I will give a one week’s pay.

I will give my check for one week and if every member of Congress were to do this, it will amount to more than this bill asked for. When Crockett finished, there was silence and remarkably, the bill failed. When later asked for an explanation, Davy Crockett explained, he said, several years ago, I was standing one evening on the steps of the Capitol when we saw a large great light over Georgetown.

It was evidently a large fire. We jumped into a hack and drove over there as fast as we could. In spite of all that could be done, many houses were burned and many families were made homeless.

And besides, some of them had lost all but the clothes they had on. The weather was very cold and when I saw so many women and children suffering, I felt that something must be done. The next morning, a bill was introduced appropriating $20,000 for their relief.

We put aside all of the business and rushed it through as soon as it could be done. Later in the year when Davy Crockett was back in Tennessee, he ran into a constituent by the name of Horatio Bunce. Crockett asked him for his vote and Horatio Bunce responded thusly, he said, you better not waste your time on my vote.

I shall not vote for you again. Your vote last winter shows that either you have not the capacity to understand the Constitution or that you’re wanting an honesty and firmness to be guided by it. Because the Constitution, to be worth anything, must be held sacred and rigidly observed in all its provisions.

The man who wields power and misinterprets the Constitution is more dangerous the more honest he is. Horatio Bunce continued, he says, no Colonel, there’s no mistake. The newspapers say that last winter you voted for this bill to give $20,000 to some who suffered from a fire in Georgetown.

Is that true? Congressman Crockett answered him, well my friend, I may as well own up. You’ve got me there. But certainly nobody would complain that a great and rich country like ours couldn’t give $20,000, the insignificant sum of $20,000 to relieve its suffering women and children.

Horatio Bunce replied to Congressman Crockett, he said, the power of collecting and dispersing money at pleasure is the most dangerous power that can be entrusted to a man. While you were contributing to relieve one, you were drawing it from thousands who are even worse off than he. If you had the right to give anything, the amount was simply a matter of discretion with you.

And you had as much right to give $20 million as to give $20,000. If you have the right to give to one, you have the right to give to all. And as the Constitution neither defines charity nor stipulates the amount, you are at liberty to give to any and everything which you may believe or profess to believe is a charity and to any amount you may think proper.

No, Colonel Crockett, Congress has no right to give charity. Individual members may give as much of their own money as they please, but they have no right to touch a dollar of the public money forthat purpose. If twice as many houses had burned in this county in Tennessee as had in Georgetown, neither you nor any other members of Congress would have thought of appropriating a dollar for our relief.

Bunce informed Crockett that if each congressman had shown their sympathy for the fire victims by giving one week’s pay, it would have nearly covered the cost. But it was easier simply to give other people’s money. Bunce continued, the people about Washington no doubt applauded you for relieving them from the necessity of giving by giving what was not yours to give.

The people have delegated Congress by the Constitution the power to certain things. To do these, it is authorized to collect and pay monies and for nothing else. Everything beyond this is usurpation and a violation of the Constitution.

So you see, Colonel, you have violated the Constitution in what I consider a vital point. It is a precedent fraught with danger to the country, for when Congress begins to stretch its power beyond the limits of the Constitution, there is no… Well, that was the end of that clip, but he goes on to say that when Congress can go on and give the money at will to any charity that it deems out of the public domain, out of the public bank, so to say, then what you are heading towards is a tyranny form of government, one that many people just a few, you know, 50 years earlier had fought against England for being able to do. The truth is, I still have my cold, I’m sorry, it just does not go away.

The truth is that all of the good things that you think government should do, they should not do. They do not have the right to do, and it is not in your interest that they do. So when you see Social Security, Medicare, it all sounds good, you did pay into it.

That I will admit, you know, Social Security and Medicare is you and your employer paid into it, and the government has robbed that money. But welfare in general, just the government getting involved in whatever they think, what they deem to be worthy causes is not an excuse to rob the public of their hard-earned tax dollars. And it’s important that we understand that when you run a government through feeling instead of through, you know, brain power, what ends up is tyranny.

People give up their rights, and unfortunately, some dictator comes along, and I’m afraid that is what’s happening to America. In this part two of the America turning communist, communist is just a phase, by the way. Communist is the middle phase of a one-man dictatorship taken over.

Whenever you’ve had communists, be it Stalin or be it Mao in China or Chavez in Venezuela, what it’s all about is to usurp all the power from the people, and through their legislative bodies, usurp all this power to a central form of government, then convert that power to an individual who becomes a tyrant, who rules, whose son rules after him, and their son rules after them, and we’re back to the old days of monarchy, serfdom, no middle class, and the absolute rape of the American citizen. And that’s what’s going on today. That is what the Biden administration is doing to you in the guise of global warming and green energy and Ukraine money that they don’t need,money for even Israel.

It is not our job to defend the world and to pay for it all. Now, if we as a collective body do want to help one country or another, it has to be done so in an honest and open way. Do you really believe that the $100 billion, and it’s much more than that, by the way, that we’ve sent Ukraine in just the last year, a lot of that money did not come back in some form of bribery to the elected officials that voted to do that? You know, when I can take your money and I can give it away to another person and I get a 10% kickback, I’m going to do that all day long.

And that is what’s happening today. And it’s happened in this country now for a long time. And it’s about time that if people don’t want to be the last generation of America, and there is going to be a last generation of America, you know, if you read the plain truth, you’ll understand that we have predicted what God says is going to happen to this nation, because we know who this nation is, that eventually it’s going to fall.

But it doesn’t have to fall in our lifetime or your lifetime. If you wake up, God will bless any nation, any people who return to God’s ways. It’s that simple.

You know, people say that the solutions to the world’s problems are not simple, they get complicated. Well, you know, Ronald Reagan, when he was president, simplified things. There was a cabinet meeting in which the cabinet officials, Secretary of Defense and Secretary of State were arguing back and forth with each other about breaking even with Russia.

You know, we have to hold them toe to toe and we have to have the policy was called Mutual Mad, mad, think of that, Mutual Assert Destruction. And it was, we would face Russia and we could all annihilate them and they would face us and they could annihilate us. And so it was a standstill.

And as long as that standstill was in place, the world was safe. It was crazy, but that was the policy. And Ronald Reagan broke in and started speaking as president and said, why don’t we just win this damn war and get it over with? And that’s what he did.

And it didn’t happen in his presidency, but six or eight months after he was president and George Bush replaced him, the Berlin Wall was the beginning of the end of the communist Soviet Union. Now, what came out of that is a dictator, Putin, and that’s what comes out of communist nations. Democracies never come out of communist nations, dictators do.

And the people today that are pro-Palestine, they’re pro-liberal, they’re pro-abortion, you know, the devil loves death. There’s a phrase in the Bible, he who hateth God loveth death. He who hates God loves death.

The devil hates God and he loves death, especially the death of you and I. And so abortion, euthanasia, killing senior citizens because it’s cheaper to get rid of them by killing them. And it’s called assisted suicide, but it’s really assisted murder. All of these things that the liberals push are communist edicts in order to take control of this government and eventually turn it into a dictatorship.

The thing you got to realize when you’re dealing with liberal people who are really communist atheart, they have no feelings at all for the people. They sit there and they cry for the poorPalestinians or they cry for this group or they cry for that group. But when push comes to shoveand you really, you know, get in there with a magnifying glass and you really look at the situation, you will find out they don’t give a hoot about anybody but themselves and their agenda.

They’re demons through and through and they have no goodwill towards you or I or anyone.You’re a useful idiot if you agree with them. If you go and march for them and go and help stuff fake ballots and to get them illegally elected, you’re just a useful idiot.

So in the part three of this series, I’m going to play another video from YouTube of actually a minister. I don’t know if he agrees with much of what I believe or not, but he accurately, one of the most accurate essays, and he gets into this Davy Crockett thing again, and you’ll hear this whole thing this time dramatized, and it’ll be a video you can watch, by the way, it just won’t be a podcast, it will actually be a video on this channel. And you will see how socialism, communism robs the people of their hard-earned money and breaks the laws of God.

Do not be fooled, I say this all the time in what I write and what I say on this podcast, do not be fooled by leaders who claim they feel your emotions, they care for you, they’re trying to take care of you, because they’re not. They’re dishonest, evil people trying to usurp your authority. I learned long ago in my first political science class I had as a freshman at the University of Connecticut, there are, I believe it’s three things that the liberals hate about America and what keeps America free.

Number one, they hate the idea of individual liberties. See, America was founded on majority rule, but individual liberties rights. The majority cannot become a tyranny over the minority.

That is the basis of this government. And so Americans fought for liberty, they didn’t fight for a democracy. Do you know what a democracy is? You have five people, two are women and three are men, and there’s a vote, should you rate the two women? And it passes three to two, that’s a democracy.

America is not a democracy. America is a representative government with democratic principles that respects the rights of the minority. And liberals do not respect the rights of any minority.

You’re seeing that now with Jewish people who are liberal their whole life, and now all of a sudden they are finding themselves at odds with those people who care about the underprivileged. Don’t believe it, don’t believe it at all. The number two thing that separates America, that made America what it is, is individualism.

Liberals, communism, communalism, socialism breeds the idea it takes a village, as Hillary Clinton said. Total bunk. America became what it became because of rugged individualism.

People did what they did on their own merits. The strong, the cream rise to the top, and America’s individualism is part of our success story. The third part, of course, is God’s blessing.

If you follow God and he blesses you, you’re not going to fail. God always says in the Bible, is there anything too hard for me to do? Because he’s always surprised that we think he can’t dothings. And God just can’t comprehend the idea that he cannot do something.

But there is a fourth thing, and that is freedom of movement. If you can restrict the freedom of movement of people, you can then restrict their rights. We had this great frontier in America 150 years ago, so people could keep moving west to rebuild a new life for themselves.

But today, you have, especially using this nonsense energy situation, this green energy, and this global warming nonsense, which is pure fake science, it’s in an effort to stop your mobility, to take your mobility away. Because with mobility comes individual freedom and liberty. You can’t have liberty when you’re immobile in a jail, but you can have all the liberties you want when you’re all alone on a mountain.

And rugged individualism requires mobility. And so when they’re talking about a new green energy and electric vehicles, what they’re really talking about is limiting the mobility of the American citizen to stop him from being free.
