Bob Barney: Missiles flying towards Israel, and again, why the Middle East is always going to be in your future

Hi, this is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com. And the breaking news that we’re going to talk about today is yesterday, Iran, that country that supposedly has been obliterated by Donald Trump’s great military, sending more missiles to Israel, and they were under attack. And I have since, actually have a friend of mine now that lives in Jerusalem. He’s actually a jeweler and he’s done some work for me.

And he’s telling you, he’s been telling me over the last several weeks, just how bad it is for life in that nation. And I think if Americans were living through what they go through on a day to day basis, I think Americans would be a little teed off with Iran, personally. But because it’s far away from our borders, we just don’t feel it.

I’m going to play the breaking story yesterday as Fox News was reporting it or what was going on.And then I’m going to end the show with an old theme, the very first topic I ever wrote about for theplaintruth.com, which is coming true yesterday and today, why the Middle East will always be in your future. It always will be.

I don’t care if you live nine more years or 99 more years, it’s always going to be in your future until Christ returns. And it’s still going to be in your future after he returns for that matter. But let’s listen to this story of what happened yesterday.

And we have to keep following this because obviously, contrary to what propaganda we’re getting out of this White House, this war is far from being over. And these people are not dying and wishing for peace and begging for a peace treaty. Does this sound like somebody begging for a peace treaty? Sounds like we have a BS-ing president not telling you the truth.

We had this with President Lyndon Baines Johnson with Vietnam. We also had this with George Bush II with Afghanistan and Iraq. And now we’re having it again and we’re being lied to.

And anyway, let me play this from Fox News. Just moments ago, sirens blaring in northern Israelafter multiple missile launches from Iran. Trey Yinkst is in Tel Aviv, Israel for us now live.

Trey. Yeah, John, this is breaking news. The Iranian regime has launched a large missile attack at Israel.

There are currently missiles in the skies of this country. We just saw one soaring toward the northern city of Haifa from our position here in Tel Aviv. The Iranians say they are responding because of the Israeli strikes that took place earlier today against the Lebanese capital of Beirut, specifically in the Dakhia neighborhood.

And that followed Hezbollah strikes on northern Israel. I’m speaking now with regional intelligencesources who say they believe the Iranians feel that they are confident there will not be a U.S. or Israeli response to this missile fire. But regional sources tell Fox News, John, they expect a harsh response to this ongoing missile attack that is currently taking place.

And I’m just looking down at my phone right now to get a sense of where these missiles are soaring. And there are alerts going off really across the entirety of northern Israel. Remember, Haifa is Israel’s third largest city.

And right now, the entirety of the population of northern Israel is in bomb shelters at this moment as Iran launches a significant ballistic missile attack against this country. Remember, this is what the Israeli people were dealing with during Operation Epic Fury for 40 straight days. The incoming Iranian missiles, along with those cluster munitions, the initial wave that occurred tonight, John, was four ballistic missiles.

Israeli officials telling Fox News all of those missiles were shot down. But then moments later, early alerts went out on phones across this country, telling people that there were more incoming missiles toward the northern part of Israel. I do want to just read a quick update here that we are getting from our producing team in Tel Aviv, John.

A source to Fox News has indicated that schools across the country of Israel will be canceled tomorrow. And the IDF currently is telling civilians here to listen closely to updates that are expected to come in the minutes and hours ahead about the ongoing missile attack that is currently taking place. But again, John, Fox News can report at this hour there is an ongoing Iranian missile attack against Israel that is currently targeting the northern part of this country.

Iranian officials, including a top parliament member earlier today, threatened to target Israel in response to the strikes against Beirut earlier today. There was also a statement from Iran’s top negotiator, Mohammad Calibaf, the parliament speaker, who tied the situation in Lebanon to the ongoing efforts to reach a broader agreement between the United States and Iran. Again, sources telling Fox News they do believe there will be a response to this ongoing missile attack.

And again, as we speak right now, there are more and more alerts coming in to Hadera. This is much closer to Tel Aviv. And so these alerts, I’m confirming with my team here, are starting to make their way south to the outskirts of Tel Aviv, an indication that there is a widespread ongoing Iranian ballistic missile attack against this country.

John? That suggests that the U.S. and Israeli efforts to take out the ballistic missile systems and launchers has not yet been entirely successful, Trey. Exactly. The Iranians still have a ballistic missile supply, despite the fact that they were hit hard during Operation Epic Fury.

And our team here, just as we are reporting off in the distance, could see four incoming Iranian ballistic missiles. We’re going to stay here for the moment, John. Again, there are no alerts in Tel Aviv right now.

But before we started, we could see one of those missiles soaring through the sky, headed toward the city of Haifa. But those alerts that are coming in right now are even near to the city of Hadera, which is south of Haifa, north of Tel Aviv. I’m told by my producer, Yonath Freeling, right now that there is a third round of missiles expected to trigger sirens here in Israel in a matter of minutes.

Again, this is taking place according to the Iranians in response. And we are getting a statement right now, John, from Iran’s IRGC that says the Israeli army must stop its attacks on Lebanon. And if it expands its attacks or responds to Iran’s actions, quote, it will face more crushing and regretful blows.

Again, that statement coming from Iran’s IRGC. Iranian state media, John, right now says the initial reports of a second wave of missiles towards Israel have been announced. And again, this is Iranian state media.

And it gives you a sense of the real-time updates that those who are watching in Iran are getting about the situation right now. And the alerts are nonstop, John, across, again, in Haifa, that northern Israeli city, a population of hundreds of thousands of people, and the surrounding area more than a million. This is a significant attack against the state of Israel.

And again, sources telling Fox News they do believe there will be a response to the ongoing missile fire that is taking place. We are getting another update from a regional intelligence source speaking to Fox News. And I keep looking down here, John.

We are getting this information in real time. A regional intelligence official tells Fox News the Iranians believe that Trump does not have the will to fight. This intelligence official says they are, quote, gambling on him, wanting to end this war at all costs.

And again, the official goes on. I’m going to break into this just to tell you this is where I’m coming to. I just think that Donald Trump knows he’s lost a war.

He’s trying to BS his way to the American people. And he’s trying to find a desperate way out. He put us into a war without thinking about the consequences, without planning, by just plain old arrogance.

And a defense secretary that absolutely doesn’t have a clue what he’s doing wouldn’t listen to the admirals and the generals that they fired because they disagreed with what was going on with no planning for this war. And you and I are paying the price at the gas pumps and at the food aisles. And there’s more price to pay because America now has shown the world how weak we are.

I’m going to finish this, and then I’ll talk about what the show is going to be finishing after this in a minute. On to say this is why they are doing it. And so again, they believe that the Iranians are making a calculation here by launching this ballistic missile attack against Israel in response to the strikes that took place against the neighborhood of southern Beirut.

And one more thing I have to say here, I just have to say this. What Iran saw when the headline was that Trump was using the F word to Netanyahu, calling him an F-ing whatever it was, we had it on the plain truth. It shows division.

It shows weakness. And weakness is going to be filled with evil. A house divided against itself cannot stand.

When we go to war with our allies, Europe, for example, when we did that, Canada, and now Israel, we are showing our enemies how weak we are. They would not have done this strike if they thought Trump was going to allow Israel to respond. I think Israel is going to respond.

We’ll find out real soon. But I’ll tell you right now, Trump’s going to be on the phone telling them not to. And that’s what Iran’s banking their information on.

They’ve won this war. I’m sorry, but they have so far. And I don’t see a good way out for us.

Let’s finish this. Earlier today, a Hezbollah stronghold. But remember what we have seen throughout the weekend.

We’re just going to go back a couple of days here in the timeline, John, of what’s taken place. The Iranians have been very bold in their actions. They have been targeting America’s Gulf allies, including Bahrain and Kuwait.

Remember, over the weekend, it was Friday evening when, according to U.S. Central Command, four Iranian one-way attack drones were launched toward the Strait of Hormuz. The United States responded with strikes. And we brought you that video earlier against Gorouk, Iran, that sits along the coast, and also Iran’s Qeshm Island.

And the U.S. forces, according to CENTCOM, were going after radar systems there. In response to those strikes, the Iranians fired again toward U.S. forces in Kuwait. And according to CENTCOM, six of those missiles were shot down.

But we saw last week when the Iranians used missiles and drones toward Kuwait’s international airport, the massive amount of damage and destruction that can be caused as a result of these Iranian projectiles. And again, we’re getting just new information because this is a developing story. We are told, according to regional reports, that President Trump has been updated on the ongoing events that are taking place.

Remember, President Trump has been trying to give the Iranians an off-ramp in this conflict. There is still a massive force buildup across the Middle East that includes more than 50,000 U.S. forces, along with destroyers and U.S. aircraft carriers. And we know the refuelers and cargo planes that remain here in Israel.

Just a few days ago, I was on the train from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and we went past Israel’s Ben-Gurion Airport. And there were dozens of U.S. refuelers there in preparation for in case President Trump decides to order additional strikes against the Iranian regime. But again, John, what we can confirm at this moment, there is an ongoing Iranian ballistic missile attack against Israel.

And the region waits to see how the United States and Israel will respond. John? Well, I’m afraid to answer here. But as I said, the program is a little recap with breaking news in the front of it, of why the Middle East will always be in your future.

That’s because the Bible says so. The purpose of the PlainTruth.com and the Plain Truth Today broadcast, the purpose is to show our readers and listeners that the Bible is as active and as current today as it ever was. Why? Because probably up to a half to two-thirds of all Bible prophecies have not yet occurred.

Tomorrow’s headlines are going to be filled with Bible prophecies. This is a little commercial now for the PlainTruth.com and the Plain Truth Today. I’m going to go in right now, and I’m going to play from the beginning what I recorded three years ago, just three years ago.

So it’s a little time outdated, but it is not. And what I wrote about 18 years ago, this subject, this is me in 2024. The very first article I ever wrote for the Plain Truth when we started in December of 2008 was an article that was entitled why the Middle East will always be in your future.

And it pointed out that regardless what the news of the day is, be it shootings in Wyoming or Colorado or blizzards here or there, volcanoes going off, or wars in Korea maybe or some other distant land, that ultimately the news always gets overshadowed by some trouble in the Middle East. I’m going to get into why the Middle East is always going to be headlines in your newspaper. There could have been a thousand years ago, there was no newspapers I guess, there were town criers, but the Middle East was in the minds of the Crusaders who were going to free the Holy Land from the Muslims, and the Crusades began.

And throughout history, the Middle East has always been a source of controversy, news, strife, warfare, and just downright problems. And when I wrote in 2008 why the Middle East will always be in your future, to be frank, I actually wrote that for other sources and other magazines before that some 20 years before, in fact, because it came to my understanding back in 1975 when I was a sophomore in the University of Connecticut, I majored in political science, that regardless of what was going on at the time, and the year before it was Americans pulling out of Vietnam, for example, and that was the whole news and everybody had Vietnam on their mind. How many people have Vietnam on their mind now? But in, you know, October of 1973 was the very famous Yom Kippur War.

Golda Meir was the prime minister at the time, the first woman and only woman prime minister of Israel, and the little tiny nation of Israel was attacked by all sides by Arab nations. The Egyptians moved over into the Sinai Peninsula, Syria attacked, Lebanon attacked, and Israel was surrounded. And for the first six or seven days of the October Yom Kippur War, which started on the day of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, the holiest day for the Jewish people, and honestly the holiest day for the Christian people as well, and you’re supposed to celebrate that day, but that’s a different subject, but Israel was attacked unprovoked and without warning, although many intelligence sources in Israel did predict that attack, and certain people knew it was coming, and actually Ariel Sharon became famous because he did not observe Yom Kippur like he was supposed to.

He was ready for battle because he knew it was coming. And I’m going to continue this in a minute here with that program I did three years ago, and I believe late 2023 or 2024, it might be two and a half years ago now, but the Middle East is a problem, and when this administration decided to attack Iran without any real planning, without getting our allies in Europe behind us, without getting our allies in the Pacific behind us, and especially really getting the American people behind us, because I just played you in the beginning of this show what is going on in Israel yesterday and probably even right today, a Fox News update, and you heard the frightening tone of that reporter’s voice, knowing they’re going to get shelled, he has to run for cover, and like I said, this friend of mine, his name is Yoram, he’s a jeweler in Jerusalem, and he says they have no business, no tourists is coming to Israel, Israel is in a terrible shape, their economy, because of this war. He, like most Israelis in the beginning, was for this war, they still are, and they were thinking that Donald Trump had a plan, and they were thinking this was going to be a moment in history when everything in the Middle East would change, and he was not very happy when I said, well, from my point of view, and I’m sorry to break your heart here, but in my point of view, the Middle East is going to be in your future, Yoram, it’s going to be in your future for the rest of your life, and the rest of your children’s life, or until what, in my estimation, when the Messiah, and I didn’t go through, he’s a Jew, but I said when the Messiah returns, then it’s still going to be in your future, but you’re not going to have President Trump or any President of the United States solve the problem in the Middle East.

Now, the Bible does say the dictator arising out of the Holy Roman Empire, called the Antichrist, or the King of the North, probably from Italy or Germany, they’re going to make a peace treaty in the Middle East, and the Jewish people are going to believe they’re under a perfect peace treaty, and that is going to become their Messiah, and their Savior, and they’re going to worship this guy, and Jesus said another will come in his own name, and he, you will believe, because they didn’t believe him, Jesus Christ, as being the Messiah at the time, and so that is going to happen for a very short time during what’s called the Tribulation, but that’s not going to happen for very long either, but I want to get back to what I had to say in my broadcast, the first one I did for the Plain Truth radio program, or I should say broadcast program, or podcast, but it’s an article I first wrote for another online site in 2001, I believe, after September 11th. It’s the same message that, honestly, the Armstrongs were saying, Garnerton especially, back in the 50s, 60s, and 70s, that there’s always going to be a problem in the Middle East. Matter of fact, Garnerton used to say, whenever they say peace is breaking out, prepare for war, and that’s why I had a program when Trump said there’s going to be a peace treaty any second.

I told everybody, listen to me, prepare for more war, because that is the case. No peace is comingto the Middle East until Jesus Christ brings lasting peace to the world. You can bet on it, you can go to Vegas and bet on it, and in the future, you’re going to be right.

God is not going to be wrong, and neither is the word of his Bible. Let me continue with this program. Time and time again, prophecy has always proved to be true.

So how does that fit into your idea that it’s just a religious thing? No, it’s a history thing. It’s a news thing. The greatest newscaster to ever exist was Jesus Christ.

Everybody talks about gospel music and gospel writings or the gospel, I’m going to preach the gospel, and many people don’t even realize that word gospel is just old English for what we would say today is good news. Gospel is the old English phrase for good news. It’s news.

It’s not good religion. It’s good news. The ultimate newscaster was none other than Jesus Christ of Nazareth, who told you what’s more important was the news of the future.

You know, when you read a newspaper today, except for the weather, and the weather is usuallywrong in their predictions, but when you read a newspaper today, you’re reading yesterday’sheadlines. Today’s headlines are really yesterday’s news. So the only thing in a newspaper thatactually tries to predict the future is the weather report.

Seven out of ten times they probably have that wrong, but at least they try to predict the future. You don’t really need to know news that happened yesterday. You know, if you’re going to be in a building somewhere and some employee that you’re working with is going to come in with a gun and shoot you and 40 other people dead, it doesn’t help you for that to be reported the day after it happened.

Frankly, it would have been more important for you to read it in a newspaper the day before that it was going to happen. Now, that can’t happen as we understand it, but honestly, it does happen when the Bible predicts things that will come true. Man lies.

God does not lie, and God promises certain things are going to happen, and they’re going to happen, and one of those things is that the Middle East will always be a burdensome stone for the entire world, and there will become a time, and maybe our lifetime, and maybe down the road, there’s going to be a time when every army that is at the time will converge and surround the little city of Jerusalem to annihilate it, only to see this bright star become a bright sun, become brighter than the sun and larger than the sun, come down from heaven like a meteorite, but it’s going to be the Lord Jesus Christ returning as he had promised he will do. Again, that’s not a Christian religion. I’m not preaching a religion here.

It is news of the future that is going to happen whether you want to believe it or not. God does not need you to believe in him to be real. You know, many people think, I had a friend of mine who was an atheist tell me, sincerely, how can you believe in a God that allows tragedy? How can you believe in a God allows little kids to die and suffer? How can you believe in a God that allows world war to slaughter millions of innocent people? I don’t want to believe in such a God.

You know what my response to him was? I’m not telling you God is fair. Maybe God’s cruel. Maybe God’s mean, but if God is cruel, mean, and unfair, and a sadomasochist, if he’s God, he still exists, whether you like what he is or not.

Now, thank God, God is none of those, and God is kind, loving, and wanting to save mankind from himself. But the truth is, you not liking what God does, does not make God unreal. That’s just a total fallacy, a total bending of reality, in order for you to be satisfied there is no God, so you can go do what you want to do, and have relationships with your next door neighbor that you’re not supposed to do, and cause havoc, and damn, and lawlessness in this country.

And we are filled up with lawlessness right now in this country, because of our leaders, because of our evil leaders, who are working on the side of Satan the devil. The good news, or the gospel, is they will not succeed in the end. God is going to succeed, because he’s promised that he will succeed.

Jesus said, in Matthew 24, that it would be a time like the times of Noah. You know what happened in the times of Noah? The whole world was destroyed, but eight people, and the creatures inside that ark. It will be like the times of Noah, but actually he implies that it will be a time greater danger than any time in the past, including the time of Noah, or will ever be again.

And in fact, he says in Matthew 24, unless those days were shortened, unless God intervened, and stopped what was happening from continuing, he adds, no flesh would be saved alive. Not an animal, or a person, would be alive at this world-ending war, unless God comes and intervenes. You may think that’s religious.

No, it’s not. It’s a fact. It’s a fact of the news.

Jesus was the newscaster, predicting his own return, and he is going to return as king of kings, and lord of lords. And you can book your life on it, because you are doing so, if you think so ornot. The Bible is real.

It is real news, and it’s news of the future. And like I said, frankly, you don’t need to read a newspaper of what’s going to happen to you tomorrow. Yesterday, you want to know what’s going to happen to you tomorrow, the day before.

Because when it happens to you, and you didn’t have news about it happening, you’re going to die, if it’s a shooter coming into your workplace. But if you could miraculously open up your door that day, or maybe the evening before, and there was a TV show on CBS one time, Tomorrow’s Headlines, I think it was called, where the guy came home to his apartment every evening, and he saw the newspaper, tomorrow’s newspaper, at the door. It’s kind of a religious show, even though I don’t think they intended it to be, but God gets his message out every way he can.

And he would open up and see the headline, and it was some horrible event, some building collapsing and trapping 30 kids, or something like that. And he would work all night long, and into the day, to try to stop it from happening. It was an interesting show.

But that’s the kind of newspaper you, frankly, need to read. You need to read a newspaper that’s going to tell you what’s going to happen tomorrow, not what happened yesterday, because you already know what happened yesterday. You could use a newspaper that could tell you what the weather is going to be tomorrow and be accurate, and that’s still probably a dream.

But usually, we get the next two or three days’ weather right, just not the next two or three weeks, never mind the next two or three thousand years, as the evolutionists try to do, and the environmentalists. But we need a newspaper that tells you what’s going to happen tomorrow. And you want to know what there is such a thing to go to, and that’s ThePlainTruth.com. ThePlainTruth.com is really a news site that kind of focuses on tomorrow’s news, so you can be prepared today.

And that was me three years ago, or two years ago. The Plain Truth is still focused on the same message that I was doing then, that I started in 2008, when we started the actual online edition of The Plain Truth. And it’s the message that is the most important message you’re going to hear, other than the actual belief in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

That message is even more important, to be honest about it. Your salvation does not depend on if you’re going to live through the tribulation or not, because many people are going to die in this tribulation. And if you’re one of these Christians who think that the tribulation, you’re going to be spending that time in heaven, you got a big, big, big surprise coming, because Christians are going through the tribulation.

There is no rapture of the saints. That’s another fallacy that false religion teaches. And unfortunately, too many people think smugly, they’re not going to go through what the people of Israel are going through, what Christians in Africa are going through.

But that’s not what the Lord Jesus Christ tells you in the words of his Bible. He’s telling you, if you love him, you obey him, you’re going to be persecuted like he was. How many people tell you that? You’re going to be persecuted like he was.

Well, he was beat to death before he was killed on that stake. And he said, it’s going to be like that for you. So those who preach protectionism, the protectionism that I preach is if you adopt God and you follow and obey God and obey God’s laws and love Jesus Christ and know he is God and that his word is true, you will be saved, you will have immortal life after the resurrection, after the time he returns to this earth to be king of kings and Lord of lords and God of gods.

And for a thousand years, you will reign with Christ as God’s yourself, because you will be born again immortal. And only God is immortal. We are the children of God.

Children are of the same species as their parents, and our parents are God the Father and Jesus Christ. Yes, the Middle East is going to be in your future, and you better prepare for it. This is Bob Barney.

Thank you for listening. Bye-bye.
