Hello, this is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com and it is Friday wrap-up time.
These Fridays seem to come along pretty darn fast. I think the older you get, the faster they come.
Well, the big news this week basically is the coronation of Donald Trump, the inauguration of Donald Trump, this past Monday. Also, it happened to be Martin Luther King Day. The big day for America was that we have been blessed with a president that seems to know what he’s doing, unlike the last one we had. Right away, the same day, he signed approximately 100 executive orders.
He ended the border crisis.
He ended DEI.
He got rid of the commander of the Coast Guard right away, who was another DEI-type person.
It looks like adults are running the show again and not the inmates or children.
I think the economy is going to turn around rather quickly. We have already seen the oil prices start to plummet. We saw stocks start to go back up again. I noticed that gold went back up again, and Bitcoin went way back up again, so this has been a good week for investors.
It’s been a good week for the country!
5:22 That is the general consensus around the world, too
I have a friend who is also a partner of mine in one of my export-import businesses, and he travels the world. I do not travel the world. He goes to some 60 or so countries a year and says that the whole mood of the third world, Europe, the Middle East, really everywhere he goes, the whole mood is that America is back on top again. The sentiment is that America has got a real leader again, and the rest of the world is going to benefit from this fact.
People don’t understand this, but he’s famous to tell me all the time, when America sneezes, Europe catches a cold, and when Europe catches a cold, the third world gets pneumonia and often dies. I don’t think we as Americans understand just how important the stability of our nation is to the third world and even to the entire globe. People don’t realize that places like Africa and Asia are alive basically because they’re manufacturing things that are sold to us. Even in general, our economy lifts them out of poverty, as does our generosity. When we’re rich, we are generous to give to our churches and to other non-profit organizations that in turn go around and feed the world and take care of the world even medically. There are doctors who go around the world and they do free surgeries on cleft lips and people with cancers or other kind of procedures and care that they just cannot afford.
By the way, it doesn’t have anything to do with insurance that is stopping them from affording what they need medically. It is that there aren’t any doctors in these countries that can do some of the things that the American doctors do. So we tend to go overseas to these countries and help people get better…this is the very thing that America has always been known for around the world.
We are not an empire like Britain was an empire and especially not like any empire compared to the Persian empire say or the Roman empire or the Greek empire under Alexander the Great.
5:21 We’re not an empire.
We are a shining city on a hill showing the world the way to God and the way to His kingdom. How are we doing this? By trying to be the best example we can be as the very men and women who are taking part in actually building a kingdom of God here on earth. Until of course, when Jesus Christ returns to this earth and sets up His Kingdom that is rightfully His. He won’t be elected by the way…He will set up His own kingdom and He will rule the world…ruling the world out of love, and it will be a tough love kind of love.
Donald Trump as president, in my opinion, is going to rule the United States and most of the world with a tough kind of love.
He’s going to show Canada and Mexico, and even China, through threats of tariffs that they are going to have to do what is right for the American people for a change.
For the last 50 years or even longer, America has not been treated well, and it has been because of our own doing. Donald Trump aptly portrays this fact all the time…America has signed some very poor deals with foreign countries who have been and still are taking advantage of the weakness of our leaders. Consequently, the people who pay the penalty for that advantage over us are the American workers and the American working class, and the lower class at that. We pay for it by paying more for goods, we pay higher medical costs around the world because we provide military protection to Europe, and Canada. The free world is really protected by the American military and because of this, they have better, and lower costs in healthcare and medicines and stuff like that.
America gets no break.
8:35 We pay and pay and pay, the middle class does, especially for every good and service that the rest of the world gets for free or for very little money. A lot of times it’s the American money that pays for it in the first place.
You often hear about medicines that cost $1,000 a month in America, and if people can go to Mexico, they can get that same prescription for about $80, $90 or even less. You’re talking about 10, 20, sometimes 30 times less in Canada or Mexico for the same medication that Americans have to pay for, even though they’re insured in America. This is the kind of stuff that Donald Trump claims he’s going to put an end to.
Now, I will say the initiative for the DEI does scare me a little bit.
One of the things that scares me is that I don’t know how many people caught this, but he’s promising to match federal funds for this half trillion-dollar project. Well, that is if I understood that correctly. I understood the details were that American taxpayers are going to be on the hook for half a trillion dollars for three oligarchs to build a DEI program. These oligarchs are who is going to sell their goods back to the American people. I hope Donald Trump has thought about that and he’s not going to get in bed with the real big businesspeople like the Democrats did in the past.
What made Donald Trump very popular amongst the people who voted for him is that he was not part of big business and big business controls and big pharma and big media. If he keeps surrounding himself, in my opinion with people who are looking out for themselves…like with the Bezos’, the Zuckerberg’s, and even Elon Musk, who’s actually done a good job so far…he needs to be careful. If you’re a billionaire, the number one person that you think about is yourself, or you would not be a billionaire. If you’re a multilateral, a multinational, I’m saying, corporation worth billions and billions, and maybe in some cases like Apple, a trillion dollars, you really do not have the best interest of the American working man and woman at heart. You really don’t. And I do hope that Donald Trump makes sure that he separates those people from his policies. We do not just see a reemergence of big companies buying out all little guys like we honestly, we saw even under Ronald Reagan. It was not good in the long run because once they get control, they go back overseas looking for that Chinese market, looking for the Indian market, looking for the Soviet or now the Russian market, and the American taxpayer has paid it all.
I hope Donald Trump does not fall into that trap.
That’s all I’m going to say about that on the Friday wrap up.
10:05 The whole atmosphere of his inauguration, except for these lunatics on like MSNBC and on the left-wing media, was that everything Donald Trump did the first day was like a crime. But the real crime, by the way, has been laid out in an article we had on the Plain Truths main page about how judges and prosecutors are trying to not fulfill the pardon orders on the January sixers that President Trump passed or signed on his first hour as president. He signed a pardon for 1500 people who have been held hostage as he calls it, and I agree with that categorization.
Then we have a story that was from WorldNetDaily that we had on the main page of the Plain Truth, and I don’t see it being talked about on most of the news stations on TV or in the print, that a lot of these hostages were moved to somewhere in the middle of nowhere in the Midwest and then released with no cell phone, no way to contact anybody, no money, and they’re hurting and can’t get back to civilization.
You heard that right.
Go to the Plain Truth and look up that story that I’m talking about, and you will be shocked how the courts and the prosecution and the police force are trying to circumnavigate President Trump’s pardons for these people. I personally believe once Pam Bondi becomes the attorney general and this stuff has happened and they have failed to follow the pardon procedures, I think they should be arrested and they themselves should be put in jail, including the judges.
You know, the Judiciary is a separate entity than the executive branch, but they have to follow the rules set forth by the Constitution. A judge cannot ignore a pardon and just make believe it didn’t happen because he doesn’t like Donald Trump. And if a judge does that, I believe, I’m not a lawyer, but I’ve won many cases in court, I believe that if a judge does that knowingly, that judge is a criminal and he can be criminally prosecuted.
I also believe, by the way, getting into the other pardons, the last 16 minutes of his presidency, President Biden pardoned his family. He didn’t pardon himself, but he pardoned his family and a lot of other people, a lot of hard-core criminals. I think, and again, I’ll say I’m not a lawyer, and Professor Dershowitz absolutely disagrees with my position. I heard it just the other morning and he’s pretty smart when it comes to the law, but I do not believe that you can pardon someone who has not done a crime.
12:45 When you give a blanket pardon for like Liz Cheney, for example, and Senator Schiff now, Schiffless, as I call him, those people were never convicted of a crime. And I don’t see how you can pardon someone who has not been convicted of a crime. I know, and I said this many months ago, President Nixon was given an unconditioned pardon by President Ford. However, there was investigations going on in the Watergate. There were criminal investigations already going on against them, but at the same time, they were never challenged all the way to the Supreme Court. I am not even sure if President Ford’s blanket pardon of Richard Nixon really would pass the smell test of the Constitution, because to me, when you think of the word pardon, it means you had to be found guilty of something. You had to admit your guilt and you were free of it. It’s almost like saying, I’m not going to accept the blood of Jesus because I’m not a sinner, but I’ll take his pardon and I’ll make sure I have everlasting life. I’m forgiven of all any sin, even though I never sinned. Well, if you can’t confess your sin, then Jesus’s death on the cross means nothing for you.
Am I not right?
You have to admit your sins to God before the blood of Christ redeems you. And these people claim they’re not criminals. If they’re not criminals, they’re not guilty. And if they’re not guilty, they don’t need a pardon, and a pardon shouldn’t apply. But that’s just my idea on that.
Going forward on the next topic we have not forgotten about is these people in North Carolina who have been forgotten by the drive-by media. Now everybody was covering the California fires, and there are people that were actually put out of their hotels the night before a major snowstorm by our government. This is how bad these people are being treated by our government, forgotten by our press and by the American people. And I am glad to see that President Trump is going there this coming Monday, after this weekend, this coming Monday. I am very happy to say that he’s going there first before he goes to California to the fire victims, because it looks like we want to bail California out with hundreds of millions of billions of dollars, actually hundreds of billions of dollars, I think I heard. And yet we have just forgotten about these poor souls in North Carolina who are decimated. You watch videos that were taken just a week ago, not a day or two afterwards, and you see the conditions of the properties and the landscape. To this day it looks like it was the day after the disaster. Nothing has been done. Buildings aren’t being built, roads were cleared, and that’s about it. But it looks like an absolute World War II bomb zone, and they have been forgotten about. And I’m glad to see that President Trump next week is going there, and then he is going to California as well, because these people in California, they have a rough road ahead of them, especially with the liberal, lame government they have there with Gavin Newsom and the mayor in LA and the DEI fire chiefs and police chiefs.
They have a mess coming.
Unlike possibly the people in North Carolina, I say unlike possibly, because they have a Democratic governor, so they’re pretty Democrat in North Carolina themselves. A Democrat governor, by the way, doing nothing for them, nothing at all, except going to parties himself. California is also going to be pretty tough, because it is a total liberal leftist wacko state, that I think a lot of the people who thought they were liberal are not going to come out of this mess being liberals, when they really realize what their government has done for them.
I’m going to take a quick break to advertise for The Plain Truth, and then we’ll be back with the final wrap-up for Friday.
Hello, this is Bob Barney for The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by ThePlainTruth.com, the one place to go for all the news that affects you and your family, and that tells you what God may have to do with that news. Thank you, and we’re back for the final 15 minutes of the Friday wrap-up, and I want to get into the next subject, which was reported on the WorldNet Daily website. We had this also on our main page of ThePlainTruth.com, you can go to it and find a story or the link to the WorldNet Daily report. Guess where the three hostages that Hamas was holding was being held? Where were they kept? Where do you think they were kept? Were they kept in some underground bunker somewhere where Israel couldn’t find them? No, it turns out that they were being kept in a UN facility in the Middle East, or in Israel. The UN now, in my opinion, should be labeled by Donald Trump as a terrorist organization, because that is what the UN has become.
We should not even bother.
14:21 The congresswoman who’s becoming the UN ambassador should go back into Congress, because we should not even allow the UN to stay in New York. We should withdraw all of its money and withdraw our ambassador, except for the Security Council, where we should veto everything.
The UN has become, and has been for a long time, an anti-United States terrorist organization, and we need to do something about it, and get the heck out of it, and shut it down.
Another thing that happened last week in the first 48 hours of Trump’s new inauguration was that he ended, and I didn’t even know this was still there, but I guess it was, he ended the 1965 executive order from Lyndon Johnson that began affirmative action. And affirmative action, the reason I didn’t think that was still on the books is because the Supreme Court actually ruled against affirmative action some, I don’t know, eight, ten years ago, and said it was no longer needed, and it was discriminatory.
And so, the idea that it was still on the books, I’m glad that Trump erased it with his executive order, repealing one of the worst things that happened to American, just American productivity. You have to raise people through the ranks based on merit and ability, not based on color, or religion, or gender, or anything else. Put the people who can do the job in the jobs that they are the best at doing. And let the chips fall where they may. And do something with the educational system so you do not have people that are not trained enough to be in certain positions.
The problem is with our schools.
It doesn’t need a law to force us to be hiring people who can’t do the job because they’re a woman, or they’re black, or they’re Hispanic, or whatever they are, a green Martian or whatever. We should hire the people that can do the job, and we should have schools, and we should have a voucher program where parents can vote with their feet and with their money and put their kids in whatever school they want to, and with a voucher from the United States government. And if that happened and there would be competition amongst the schools, well guess what? If that happened, we would see really quickly schools going away that were no good, and other schools getting better quicker. And that’s my take on that one. Another thing that happened that’s quite disturbing this week was after Donald Trump pardoned the 1,500 or so January 6 protesters, that’s all they were, they weren’t insurrectionists, they weren’t criminals in any sense of the word. After he pardoned them, turned out we had some DAs in Philadelphia that planned on recharging these people for state crimes, which Donald Trump therefore could not pardon, which is the Bill of Rights applies of double jeopardy.
How do you arrest them again?
15:41 And first of all, Washington DC, where the incident took place, has nothing to do with Philadelphia or Pennsylvania jurisdiction at all, or Virginia, or Maryland, or Delaware, or any neighboring state. The DC is under congressional authority, it is not a state in itself, and it just shows you the things going on. And World Net Daily again had another story how they were moving prisoners like two or three days before the pardon, knowing it was coming, in the middle of nowhere, USA, flyover country as they call it, and they let them out after the pardon was granted, out in the middle of rural America, with no cell phone, no way to contact anybody, not a dime in their pockets, lost, and didn’t know where they were or how they could find help.
Some people found help from local people that were sympathetic, but this is what our deep state Nazi-like government is doing. I say that any judge who does not comply with the pardon law of the Constitution should be himself indicted, and he can go to the same jail for the same conduct, and the same treatment that he sentenced people to, cruel and unusual punishment, breaking every part of the Constitution, lets some of these prosecutors and judges go visit those jails and leave them locked up there for a couple years and see what they think, and see if they don’t cry for the Bill of Rights. Another thing that should happen is the prosecutors now under Trump should go into these judges that are hiding these prisoners.
There are many prisoners in DC being not released, according to the story on WND, and they are being hidden away, and we can’t find them in the jail, almost like Ben-Hur type situation. We should go to the court, file a writ of habeas corpus, which is Latin for produce the body, and if a judge refuses to do so or he tries to put stone walls in front of the habeas corpus, then the President of the United States should order that judge arrested. And before you think that you can’t happen, Abraham Lincoln arrested many judges.
We should not even bother.
The congresswoman who’s becoming the UN ambassador should go back into Congress, because we should not even allow the UN to stay in New York. 17:33 And so, the idea that it was still on the books, I’m glad that Trump erased it with his executive order, repealing one of the worst things that happened to American, just American productivity. You have to raise people through the ranks based on merit and ability, not based on color, or religion, or gender, or anything else. How do you arrest them again?
19:47 First of all, Washington DC, where the incident took place, has nothing to do with Philadelphia or Pennsylvania jurisdiction at all, or Virginia, or Maryland, or Delaware, or any neighboring state. The DC is under congressional authority, it is not a state in itself, and it just shows you the things going on. And before you think that you can’t happen, Abraham Lincoln arrested many judges.
22:58 He arrested the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court for not allowing him to do illegal activities himself. That is what our hero Abraham Lincoln did. So the idea that President Trump can’t arrest a judge who’s breaking federal law is nonsense.I say arrest him and throw him in jail and let him sit for a few hours or a few days or a few months in the same conditions they sentence hapless, innocent people to. It’s unconscionable, to say the least, and I think retribution needs to be a part of this whole thing. Too many Americans have suffered these last four years under a Gestapo-type government, and it’s time that the people who did this to them need to be charged with federal crimes, tried, and if convicted, sentenced to lengthy prison sentences.
One thing else that President Trump did on a side note was he took away the security clearance of all of those deep staters that wrote that letter saying that Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation. Those people, which you know many of the names, those people did not deserve to have a security clearance, and I actually believe that most people who leave government should no longer have a security clearance, except if they are important to have because the incoming administration thinks they may need their help. But the idea that these people working for CNN or MSNBC, making their money there, still has access to top security because of a job they had 35 years ago is nonsense, and it needs to be done away with, and if President Trump does anything, he shouldn’t only take away those 52 security clearances.
24:12 He should wipe out any former official that had a security clearance. He should wipe out those security clearances the minute they have retired or are doing another job. They don’t deserve them. He also, by the way, on another note, this has been a very Trump’s first week as an event-packed week, if I could ever say so. He also dispatched 1,500 troops to the Mexican border as he has the military take complete operational control of our border. Now that is something, by the way, I give him credit, that Bill O’Reilly suggested some 12 years ago when he was still on Fox News. He said we needed to send our military, not just the National Guard, but our military to the border to protect our border from an invasion from a foreign country, and that invasion coming either from Mexico or Canada, and Donald Trump took that advice, did so. It was a great move, and I think that we will see a reduction in people going over the border like you’ve never seen in your life. I already heard yesterday morning, Holman, the border czar, already say 308 terrorists were arrested in two days trying to cross the border.308 known terrorists were arrested in just two days of closing the border. Just think how many made it through the last four years. If that doesn’t give you a scare, especially with all the shenanigans with the fires in California, these shenanigans going on, which I think a lot of those fires were started by terrorists, you should be worried about this.
The last subject I want to talk about, and then we’ll talk about this weekend and next week, but the last subject I really want to talk about is Trump and his tariffs and what that really means, and a lot of people are thinking that the tariffs should be able to replace the income tax. That is nonsense, in my opinion. We do not need tariffs to raise the money that the income tax raised, but we do not also need an income tax as well. What we really need, and I had a show about this about a year and a half ago, we need the fair tax, which is a national sales tax, which abolishes the IRS. There would be no IRS. There would be no income taxes whatsoever. There would be no Medicare or Social Security taxes.
Every family member would get a voucher for $500 a month, so a family of four would get $2,000 a month from the government to help cover what they buy, because there would be a national sales tax on every goods and service that you bought, and therefore, you would have to buy, what, let’s say it’s 20%, you’d have to buy $10,000, $20,000 worth of goods before you really had to pay any tax at all a month, and the average person doesn’t do that.
As you could see, it would raise a tremendous amount of money, but also it would raise money from drug dealers who don’t pay income taxes, illegal aliens who don’t pay income taxes, and even tourists coming to this country from other countries who don’t pay income taxes. A national sales tax is the way to go, abolish the IRS, abolish the income tax, abolish the Nazism of the IRS, and be done with it once and for all, and it’s better than a tariff, because everybody has to pay their fair share, as a Democrat would say.
26:59 Well, tomorrow is the Sabbath day. If you read the Ten Commandments, the fourth commandment says, observe and honor the Sabbath day and keep it holy, and Christians today say the Sabbath is Sunday, but it is not. It’s Saturday, as we call it. It’s the Sabbath day, and we will have our Sabbath morning show, like we do every week at 7-11 in the morning, and at night, too. I haven’t chosen which one I’m going to do for tomorrow night, but every Saturday night at 7-11 p.m., we put on some kind of a short story, or a short movie, sometimes like last week was a long movie about William Tyndale, and it’s a little entertainment for Saturday night.
If you’re driving in your car, and you have Bluetooth, and you connect to the radio, you can listen to a nice story.
Some of the things I put up are the old radio shows, like old radio mysteries, or stuff like that, or Sherlock Holmes adventures that were on radio, and sometimes the video of it as well, and it’s just a little education about how people used to live and entertain themselves on a Saturday night, listening to a radio show, and not, you know, sitting home in front of a TV with your eyes being mesmerized by all those commercials that happen every seven minutes. So, tomorrow’s the Sabbath, and then Sunday, we will have our Sunday show at 7-11 in the morning. I haven’t chosen that one yet.
29:05 We’ll probably do that this afternoon to see what the biggest breaking weekend story will be, and then, of course, we’ll be back Monday morning with another 7-11 short show, and then the rest of the week. This is Bob Barney for The Plain Truth today, saying thank you for listening, and I know there’s a lot of new listeners out there, and we do appreciate you. Please tell others about this broadcast, and tell others about theplaintruth.com, the one source you go to to figure out what God wants you to know about the news, because God is behind a lot of the news you listen to. Not all of it, but a lot of it.
So, until Monday, Bob Barney. Have a safe weekend. Thanks for listening, and goodbye.
