The Trinity is NOT Biblical. Bob takes time today on the 7:11 Broadcast to drive home the point of the truth of the Trinity Doctrine and a perspective about it that you have never thought of before!
The Plain Truth is so Happy That You Have Been Enjoying Bob’s Broadcasts.
2000 years ago, a newscaster that we know of as Jesus Christ warned us about false Christianity. The warning was not against the devil but against false Christianity…about people who come in His name and deceive many.

PREVIOUS BROADCAST:
Good morning, it’s 7:11 a.m. and it’s another edition of the Plain Truth Today dot com from the Plain Truth magazine, or I should say the Plain Truth.com magazine or online magazine
We welcome you to this show today, and I would like to get into several things about the show since we had on Saturday with Garner at Armstrong talking about the Trinity. I also wanted to add a few points about the Trinity that maybe he didn’t mention, and that I think it should be mentioned.
Nowhere in the Bible does it even hint at a Trinity, number one.
Number two, it is not a Biblical doctrine.
It did not arise with the New Testament Church.
2:25 In fact, as we will see in a minute, it took many years for the idea of the Trinity, the pagan Trinity, to creep into the Church and into the false Church at that. The other thing that I think is important to understand, Paul summarizes this pretty well in the Bible when he says, “…even there are so many gods, or so-called God, whether in heaven or on earth, as there are many gods and many lords, yet for us there is one God, the Father, whom are all things, and we for Him, and one Lord, Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthians 8:5-6.
I think that’s an important concept to understand because when we read the letters of Paul and some other epistles, I believe Peter and John, we read a greeting in the beginning of every epistle of Paul. Almost every single epistle starts off, Paul, an apostle of Christ, Jesus, Lord and Savior, and God the Father, or God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
In not one greeting does Paul ever mention the Holy Spirit. NONE. In fact, there has not been one greeting at all where the Holy Spirit has ever been mentioned as a third member of a Godhead.
4:05 Now, we know from our studies of both Genesis 1 and John 1 that the Godhead, the Word God is a uni-plural word meaning more than one being, or person, or thing, in a group. A church is a uniplural word. A group is uniplural word. A family is a uniplural word.
The truth of the matter is this: You may be a part of the Smith family, I may be a part of the Barney family, but there is more than one Barney in the Barney family, and there’s more than one Smith in the Smith family. In kind, there is more than one being in the God family.
In the beginning, God created the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. We read a little later on that the Word became flesh and dwelt amongst us. So, we know when we read those words in the first chapter of the Gospel of John, we know that in the beginning was the word, Jesus Christ. He was in the beginning, and He was with God. That can either be the Godhead or God the Father. The Word was God, and so we understand now that not only is the Word the spokesman, or the Word was from the beginning, but He’s also God, and in the New Testament, I don’t think there is a place, and I may be wrong, but I don’t believe there is a place where the word Theos, translated God, ever means more than one being.
So therefore, in the New Testament, when you see the word God, you are really understanding that you are reading about the personage of God the Father.
6:02 In the Old Testament, when you see the word God, it comes from the word Elohim, and then you know that that is a uniplural word, which means it can be comprised of more than one being. So, it could be the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, which it’s not, but it can be more than one, and that is why we see in Genesis 1, when God is ready to make man, he says to themselves, if you think a minute, let Us make man in Our image, after Our own likeness.
Do you notice that? Let us make man in Our image, after Our own likeness.
How do you explain that?
It’s not translated, let me make man in my image, after my own likeness. Angels do not look like God…angels look like beasts, and honestly, you can read throughout the entire Old Testament as to what angels really look like. They can appear as a human being in human form, but that is not what their godly presence looks like.
7:58 So, we know from just from the greetings of Paul in the Epistles, and both John chapter 1, and Genesis chapter 1, that God is comprised of two beings, God the Father, and God the Christ, our Savior. He is the Word of God. He’s the spokesman for God, the Godhead, and we’ve gone over this before, really, who the real Jesus is. It seems that in the beginning, Christ was a co-equal member of the Godhead. He was equal to God the Father, and in an act of love for us, Christ stepped out of that role, became a man, became the Son of God when He was resurrected back to heaven again, and he became lesser than God the Father. The lesser being something that he was not in the beginning. That shows us the ultimate love of God and Christ for us.
Now, there is a funny thing that I have heard Garner Ted say, and I didn’t hear it in the broadcast, but this is humorous, this is meant to be satire…but could it be that if God is a Trinity, then why would Christ on the cross pray to His Father? Was He praying to the Holy Spirit, or was He praying to the Father God? Was He praying to the wrong God of the Trinity when he was praying to the Father and not the Holy Spirit, who be, remember, in the story, it is the Holy Spirit that made Mary pregnant. So, technically, if you believed in the Trinity, wouldn’t the Holy Spirit be the Father of Christ?
That’s something I don’t think too many theologians think about.
10:28 Now, it should be realized right now that the Trinity came from the Catholic Church doctrine, and the Trinity was officially adopted by the Council of Constantinople in 381 AD. For the first 200 years of the New Testament Church, from about 33, 35 AD, until about 200 and 250 AD, there was not even a question if there was a Trinity. No one believed in a Trinity, nobody taught the Trinity, none of the early church fathers even had the idea. A fourth century spurious edition was made to 1 John 5:7, which people try to use today to prove the Trinity. It says, in heaven the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost, and these three are one. We can go to any good commentary, Peek’s Commentary is what I’m looking at here, and it will say that no respectable Greek manuscript contains this verse.
That verse was added, and it just simply is not in the Bible.
So if that’s the proof that you’re using for the Trinity in 1 John, then you have to realize it’s not in almost any modern translation of the Bible. It is only in the original King James, because it was a fake concept that was added to the Gospels by the Catholic monks, and it is important to note that that is a mortal sin according to Revelation.
12:56 Now, it also should be noticed about the Trinity, and then the lack of the Trinity, that I said was a Catholic doctrine, you have to realize that many of the so-called Protestant churches are merely daughters, which Revelation agrees with, merely daughters of the whore. So therefore, they have kept the holy days of the Catholic Church, which are Christmas, Easter, and Halloween…also they’ve kept the worship day of Sunday instead of the Saturday which is the true day of the Sabbath, which I might add was followed by the true Church of God for over 300 years before it was forced to be changed by the Catholic Church. This occurred when Constantine became a so-called Christian, and he worshiped the Sun God.
So, where did this idea of the Trinity come from? Well, you have to remember one thing…that the God that of this world is none other than Satan the devil.
Remember when he was tempting Jesus in the desert, and he showed him all the kingdoms of the world? He said, all these kingdoms have been given to me, and I can give them to you, if you bow down and worship me. And of course, Christ quoted another scripture back to him about not testing the Lord your God in vain. The point is, even Paul says so outright in his letters, the God of this world is none other than Satan the devil.
Satan has inspired many of the false doctrines in the false church, including Sunday worship. This also includes the holidays I have mentioned however, the main doctrine the devil concocted and wanted to insert was the Trinity doctrine.
I have an idea that I believe if you really think about it, you will have to agree that the Trinity really is the Father, the Son, and Satan the devil. Satan wants to make himself equal to the Godhead. He wants to say that he’s part of the Godhead in his own religion therefore, to deceive the whole world, and the Bible says Satan has deceived the whole world which includes Christianity, he wanted to provide the church with a doctrine of a Trinity, the concept of a triune God, where he has equality to Jesus Christ and God the Father. This is basically blasphemy. So I think that should be right off the top.
Let’s go to Matthew 28:19. We’re not going to keep quoting Scripture here. I’m just going to give you an idea about the Trinity, and how you can prove, just with common sense, that it’s not real. You can prove that it’s not really the part of the real gospel, and that nowhere in the Bible is this concept taught. If we go to Matthew 28:19, Jesus gives this great commission. Go, baptize them in the name of the Father, and the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. The use of the Holy Spirit here is not a person. You can see this perfectly. It’s like saying, go in the name of your father, and your mother, and the Barney family, to get people to agree with you on this zoning change.
15:25 In regard to the Holy Spirit, even in the King James version of the Bible, three different times, the Holy Spirit is rendered as an it, and not he. Many of the Bibles, almost all the Bibles you’re going to read, when you get to the Holy Spirit, you’re going to see it being given a masculine form, and instead of calling it an it, it calls it a he. This is misleading people again about the doctrine of the Holy Spirit being a third part of the Godhead.
I have a question for you. Is there a female God? Because when you go to Proverbs, you see something called wisdom, and it talks about how we are to learn the wisdom from God, and from our father, and from our mother, and it keeps calling wisdom a she. Why is that? Well, if you’re English-speaking Americans, you probably don’t understand this, but most people in high school or grammar school, have had to take at least a little bit of a foreign language, maybe French, or Spanish, or something like that. In those languages you realize that in what they call the Romance languages, and almost every other language except English, words are either feminine or masculine. Like a pen is la Pluma. La is for a female. So, a pen in Spanish is given a female assignment. So that’s how you get to the idea that a boat is a she. She sailed across the Atlantic with Columbus on board, or something like that. In the Romance languages, and in Hebrew, and in Greek, which the New Testament was mainly written in, you understand, therefore, that the words have a masculine or a feminine identity assigned to them.
Here’s the clincher.
In the New Testament, the word for Holy Spirit comes from pneuma, where we get to name pneumatic tire, for example. Pneuma meaning air, and air is not a person. Air is not a being. It’s a thing. It’s an essence, and it is given a masculine connotation. However, in the Old Testament, the word for Spirit is Ruach. I believe I pronounced that right and it is feminine in the Old Testament. In Hebrew, the same word for Spirit that pneuma, in the Greek, is in the New Testament, is ruach in the Old Testament, and it is feminine. So in the Old Testament, the Holy Spirit is feminine, and in the New Testament, the Holy Spirit is masculine. This begs the question…is it that God doesn’t know or is confused of His gender like the modern-day homosexuals where they don’t know if they’re male or female, or even what species they are, for pity’s sake? NO. God does know.
God knows the difference between male and female.
However, when it comes to languages, every word, noun, has a feminine or a masculine identity.
And you can see the constant problem that Trinitarians have with the word pneuma versus the word ruach in the Old Testament where they both are meaning the same thing, both just meaning air, by the way, holy air. Think about that. Both, one meaning was being masculine in pneuma, and the other being feminine in ruach in the Old Testament. So you just have problems with anything that anybody wants to tell you about the New Testament and the Old Testament in regard to the idea of the Trinity. The Trinity is just not to be found, and I’m sorry that people think it’s in there.
I’ll give you another example. Do you know, in the Anglican Church, in Virginia, during the colonial period, if you denied the Trinity, it was a death sentence. for you. Denying the trinity was the same as murdering somebody. Just to say there was no Trinity, there was only God the Father and God the Son. That was a mortal sin that required the death penalty. Think about that. So this is how far Catholic doctrine had crept itself into the so-called Protestant churches.
Unfortunately, many people even do not know that Isaac Newton, one of the greatest, if not the greatest, physicists of all time, has a perfect treatise that he hid, because he would have been executed if he released it in his day. He hid in his writings that the Holy Spirit was not, hear this, was not a part of the Godhead, but it was what God was made out of. You see, male and female are made out of flesh and blood. Blood, that’s why blood is so sacred in the New Testament, and in the Old Testament. You can’t eat the blood of an animal, because the blood is the life of the animal. Well, just the same…the life of God is Spirit. God is Holy Spirit. So therefore, male and female he created them, and their life comes from their blood. That’s what makes them mortal. When you become immortal, and you’re born again at the resurrection, if you’re a Christian, you become Spirit. You become Holy Spirit, and then you are a part of the God family, and you are no longer comprised of flesh and blood. Jesus Christ in John when He famously said that you must be born again, He has been massively misunderstood. He said, what is flesh is flesh, and what is spirit is spirit.
You’re born of flesh. I was born of flesh.
The animals, by the way, which Ecclesiastes proves we are no different than an animal, they are born of flesh and blood, just like we are…we are not comprised of anything different than the animals.
We are an animal.
We are a creature, just like a cow except that we are made in the image of God, where cows are made in the image of cows.
It’s important to realize that the flesh and blood must become spirit when you are born again, meaning at the resurrection, you become a spiritual being…and you are made up of Holy Spirit. That’s simply what it means. That is when you are now a spiritual being, and no longer a fleshly, physical, mortal being.
In 1 Corinthians chapter 15, in the resurrection chapter that everybody wants to overlook, Paul makes it clear that this mortal body that we are living in today, must be made immortal. When does he say this will happen? At the last trump, at the return of Christ, when the graves are opened up and the dead in Christ are resurrected in spirit. He says, thinking he may be alive in the flesh, will then be transformed into spirit, implying never even experiencing death and burial. There goes the idea of the tribulation, by the way, the rapture of the church, because again, the rapture of the church is absolutely pagan in origin. It didn’t even come around until about the 19th century, and there is not one place in the Bible that talks about a rapture. In fact, the Bible clearly points out that the elect, the Christians that are alive during the tribulation, have to actually live through the tribulation. Just like Noah and all the animals were not whisked to heaven, they had to survive the tribulation of the flood. The Israelites were not whisked to heaven, like in a great rapture, they had to go through the tribulation into middle of the Red Sea physically, on this earth. There are miracles on this earth that God provides for His people however, taking them to heaven in a rapture is just simply not one of them. I’m sorry to say that, for those who want to believe that. But you see in that phrase that Jesus said, you must be born again, He’s saying you must be resurrected from the dead, from mortal flesh and blood, to heavenly, godly Holy Spirit, to be born again, that is what Jesus is actually talking about, and that is what the Bible teaches about the Holy Spirit, and about what the Holy Spirit is.
23:52 Summing this important point up… and I won’t spend any further time with it today, the Holy Spirit is what God is made out of. Flesh and blood are your version of the Holy Spirit, the blood, and that is what you’re made out of. When you are resurrected from the dead, if you are a Christian in Christ, you will be resurrected in the Holy Spirit form, and you will no longer have flesh and blood…this is when you will be born again. That is why Jesus Christ is called the firstborn of many brethren, because he was the first person to ever be born again, to go from a physical, fleshly body, to an immortal, spiritual, Holy Spirit body.
Just to let you know that, and it’s just that simple.
So the idea of the Trinity, as you heard Saturday, and I’m just putting my two cents in it today as I thought some things should be made maybe a little clearer, is totally pagan. It is not part of the Bible. It is not taught by the Bible, and you can’t ever prove it in the Bible. You can only look it up for yourself on a search engine and find out that it’s Catholic doctrine that most Protestant churches accept it.
There are some churches today, including the Jehovah Witnesses, and a few others, and mainly the churches of God, who know better, and do not accept the Holy Trinity doctrine, because it is a false doctrine.
Well, that wraps up today’s show about the Trinity.
I just want to get into a little commercial here about The Plain Truth. We don’t have commercials during the broadcast, so we do them now, at the end of the broadcast mainly. Every day, theplaintruth.com is a place to go to, in my opinion, and I’m a little biased, I don’t disagree, that I’m not a little biased about this, but when you go to theplaintruth.com, either the message board, or Your Health Today, or these podcasts, or the main page, where we have the news of the day, and you will see articles, and stories, and features that you just will not get anywhere else. You will have opinions, and views on what is happening, that you will not get anywhere else in the entire world.
24:54 Yes, we do replay a lot of stuff, that we find…that includes findings from our editor, Jennifer, myself, and my wife. We all look for articles that really are informative, and content that we think our readers should read about, or podcasts like from Tucker Carlson. We also have our view on what is happening, and we get our view from the Holy Bible…that includes what the Bible predicts is going to happen in the future. Whatever God says is going to happen in the future, is going to happen in the future, and the main thing, I say over and over again, God is not a religion. God is the news. We are a news site, that understands that God is the greatest newscaster, number one, but number two, we understand that he is the greatest news maker. In an instant, God can change the direction of the world, with a disaster, or some miracle, within a second, the whole future of the world can change, because God is not only the greatest newscaster, and predictor of today’s news, but He also can make today’s news, whatever He wants it to be, at any time, or I should say, they want it to be, because the truth of the matter is, as we’ve just seen, God is a Godhead, made up of the Father and the Son, who used to be a co-equal to the Father, and for the love of mankind, that He created, and when you read the first chapter of John, you can see the God, the personage of the Godhead, who created the universe, created the earth, and created the animals, and created mankind, was none other than Jesus Christ, when He was a co-equal God of the Godhead, but because man sinned, and rebelled, because he was tempted by Satan the devil, Christ stepped down from His role as co-equal God, and became our Savior, and showed us great servitude, and sacrifice, became a human, and died, and when He was resurrected, became, well, when He became a human, became the Son of God, and when He was resurrected from the dead, He was God again, but no longer equal to the Father. He was now sitting at His right hand, as a little below the Father, in authority, but still part of the Godhead.
So, like I said, you will get views on theplaintruth.com that you just do not get anywhere else. You won’t even get these views on the sites that purport to be of the Sabbath-keeping church kind. A lot of them just reiterate and regurgitate dogma that they’ve really never proven for themselves. In fact, a lot of the stuff they spread is true and a lot of the stuff they say is absolute false.
27:35 I think if you go to theplaintruth.com every day, you will find points of view that you agree with, or maybe that you disagree with, but we always have a rational explanation about what’s going on.
So, that’s about it for the show on this day, and tomorrow we have another show at 7:11 a.m. in the morning. Please go to theplaintruth.com every day, and until tomorrow, this is Bob Barney saying thank you for listening, and goodbye.
