The Plain Truth is so Happy That You Have Been Enjoying Bob’s Broadcasts.
2000 years ago, a newscaster that we know of as Jesus Christ warned us about false Christianity. The warning was not against the devil but against false Christianity…about people who come in His name and deceive many.

Hi, Bob Barney with The Plain Truth today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com. This is going to be one of our 7-Eleven short shows and the afternoon noontime show will probably be a YouTube video. Haven’t figured that one out yet, but I just want to give a quick update about the flood victims in Texas and in general. Some of the things I mentioned a week ago, talking about this tragic, tragic outcome with all these children dying and people in general dying, I believe it’s going to be
0:29nearly 300 people when it’s all said and done. And I brought out the point of why this tragedy happens, and it can be due to human error and not necessarily God’s error. Now God is in control when he wants to be, but God is also allowing us to go our own way because we do not want to obey God as a people, for the most part. We want to find ways around God. We want to find ways around the Bible.
0:57Even the people who say they believe in the Bible. We had a show about someone saying that, oh, Jesus didn’t have unleavened bread for his last supper because it wasn’t a Passover meal. He had regular bread. Well, you just read the Bible and you know it was a Passover meal. And because it didn’t fall on the Jewish Passover also proves the point that Jesus was following
1:19a different calendar, because not a calendar of that specific year, because he was dying that day, because when he told the disciples that in two days it was going to be the Passover, guess what? They didn’t say, why do you say that? It’s three days away. They asked every other crazy question
1:37every time he said something, but they understood when the Passover, the Passover he was following, a day earlier than the Jews, why that was happening. So again, getting back to the subject of the flooding in Texas,
1:52and maybe there is some responsibility there, we showed a video last week, and it’s a video we may replay many times over when we have different shows about the same subject, how a similar flood happened on this river in 1987 that also decimated a campground,
2:12a youth campground, a religious campground, like the one that was ravaged by this flood. And I believe it was 10 children perished. And you would think if that happened once before, and then we find out it also happened in 1992, if this has happened before, why weren’t people more prepared for something like
2:32this? Why wasn’t there warning sirens? Why wasn’t there automatic warning sirens as somebody suggested there should be? And my question or my statement is over the weekend on July 13th, which is what, nine days after the original flood, it’s raining again there. And guess what? They’re calling for flash floods again. So I don’t believe that flash floods in that area are that uncommon, considering nine days later, they got the same problem all over again. And it sounds to me that this happens quite a bit there and the people know about it and it seems to me that
3:11the people in charge of protecting the people of that area, namely the leaders, the local leaders, this is not necessarily a federal thing here, this is not FEMA’s fault. We blame Trump for a lot of things, but I don’t believe this is Trump’s fault, and I don’t believe it’s Pam Bondi’s fault or the ice queen, Kristi Noem’s fault. It is the people locally there that obviously knew there is a danger of flash flooding, and they decided really not to do much about it. And it just hit home when I heard that report Sunday on the TV set that this must be not that unimaginable like they
3:57tried to say it was. Maybe the river rising 30 feet in 45 minutes was something they weren’t aware of, but that is not even the case because it did, it rose 36 feet in 1987 in about the same amount of time. So there is a history there, and so sometimes people wanna blame God, why did God make that happen?
4:19Well, God makes tragedy, and I said God maybe is mad at America, and maybe some of these storms and stuff are coming to America, but you want to know what? Americans, if they understand where they live and that they’re in a floodplain, maybe they should make some warnings and some protections for their own people and not always depend on the federal government or other people to get them out of their problems
4:43when tragedy strikes. And I think that may actually be the case more and more as we delve in to what happened there and I think it’s going to happen again and again and again. I’m afraid this tragedy is going to happen again another maybe 15-20 years down the road when a new generation takes over and forgets the lessons of this generation as they seem to have forgot the lessons of the 1987 and the 1992 generation. And another reason, by the way, more people seem to be getting killed by these floods is because more
5:15housing, more people are getting closer to water, because everybody wants a house on the water, right? Than they did 20, 30 years ago or 50 years ago or 100 years ago. There’s a reason that more people die in hurricanes if there’s tremendous flooding like what happened with Helene because there’s more people living in more vulnerable places than there was. It’s not that the weather is really changing. We’ve had hurricanes and we’ve had tornadoes and we’ve had flash floods forever but we haven’t had people in harm’s way forever. And we used
5:48to also have leaders who understood dangers. We used to have parents, by the way, who understood the dangers and watched over their kids like a good mother hen watches over her chicks and makes sure they’re safe and do not always trust what authorities tell you is safe or what leaders of your particular school or church or organization you belong to tells you is safe. It’s your responsibility as a parent to make sure your kids are safe. I told you the
6:18example of Tammy and I with our children and it’s what we got to do. But anyway, that’s the story for today. It’s a brief one. It’s our 7-11 Minute for 7-11 in the morning show. I appreciate everyone who comes here every day. But there’s a lot of things to listen to, watch in the YouTube videos or our shows that I do,
6:39shows that other people do. And it’s the one place to go to know what’s going on today, tomorrow, what happened in the past, really, and what you can expect your future and the future of mankind, this nation, and the world is going to be.
6:56And the good news is it’s gonna all end out okay, but there’s gonna be a lot of tragedy like we just went through for a long time until Christ returns. Bob Barney for the Plain Truth today saying thank you until Christ returns. Bob Barney for the Plain Truth today saying thank you for listening. Bye-bye.
