The Plain Truth is so Happy That You Have Been Enjoying Bob’s Broadcasts.
2000 years ago, a newscaster that we know of as Jesus Christ warned us about false Christianity. The warning was not against the devil but against false Christianity…about people who come in His name and deceive many.
Hi, this is Bob Barney. I hope you know who you are. Yesterday we were talking about biblical misconceptions and it’s two shows.
The show before that was Garner Ted Armstrong and pointing out some fallacies that people believe, things that are found in the Bible which really are not found in the Bible at all. And I brought out a few yesterday and I was going to just touch on a few more misconceptions, some biblical, some just in general. One of the biggest misconceptions that people have concerning the Bible has to do with the idea that I touched yesterday and I kind of ran out of time, that Christ and God the Father were desperately trying to save you from your sins.
And it’s just simply not the case. You’re not that important. No, you are that important to God.
But the truth of the matter is God is not desperately trying to do anything. God can do everything in a blink of an eye. If God wants to defeat the devil now, he could do it now.
He’s not in any struggle. That’s just another lie for man, the holy world, or mankind to just try to deceive you and really do the devil’s bidding. The devil would like to think that God is struggling to defeat him.
God could defeat the devil in a billionth of a second. But God is playing out a role down here on earth for the angels in heaven to see. The angels are watching what’s going on too because a third of them became demons and were swept out of heaven and followed Satan the devil to earth where he was put to reign.
And so the angels are watching out this play from above as well as mankind. And God is purposely doing things in a, almost like a play, like Shakespeare said, all the world’s a play. And each must play his part.
Well, that’s what’s going on here. God is is preparing us for a time of total peace, total love, and total lack of pain. Pain will be gone.
Tears will be gone. Death will be gone. See, another misconception is when people think, and we got into this, and Ted got into this about heaven and hell, that when you die, you go to heaven or you go to hell.
Everyone goes to hell because hell is just a simple word mistranslated in the Bible as it’s a grave. All hell is, it’s a hole in the ground where dead people go and they await a resurrection from the dead. You go to the 15th chapter of the first Corinthians and you will see a simple explanation of what death is.
And you will see that death is the great enemy of mankind. And Christ came and conquered death for our sake and for our immortality. We’re not born immortal.
We are born like any other animal, made out of flesh and blood. And when we die, we go into the ground and we turn back to dust. And the spirit in us waits for a resurrection of our physical body or our spiritual body.
If we’re a Christian, we come back in a spiritual body and we are the son, a little child of God. We are God ourselves. If we are just a normal person, we come back to life to be judged.
If we are judged righteous by our actions, by what’s found in the book of life, we will be given another chance if we’re not Christians. We’re not doomed if we didn’t accept Christ before we die, as churches teach and promote. We will be given a chance to live a life without Christ being, I’m sorry, without the devil being in our life, without a demon sitting behind us, whispering in our ear, telling us things we should do that we shouldn’t.
So we have a chance. Before us, we can choose life or we can choose death. If we choose death, we will be put to sleep forever and burned up and there will never be a memory of us again.
We will have no thoughts. We will not suffer and torment forever in hell. You think that God says that we must forgive everyone who does these things against us, but God is not going to forgive the sinner who refuses to repent? He’s going to forgive them.
He’s going to kill them. He’s going to take away their immortality that they could have earned, but he’s not going to make them suffer. That’s not what God is about.
God is love. Would you believe that? Would you, if you were in God’s shoes, would you take one of your children that didn’t follow you and obey you and torture them for the rest of their eternity? Is that the loving God that you would be? Well, God is ten times, a billion times better than you are,so why wouldn’t you think that God would do the same? He’d just put people out of their miseryonce and for all. So you have a choice between life and death, and God tells you in the OldTestament, he begs us to choose life and not to choose death.
And if you choose life, eventually you’re going to get it. If you choose to diligently search for God in this life or the chance you’re going to have most likely in the life to come, then you’re going to find God. God’s going to be there for you, and God’s going to give you eternal life, and death will have no sting anymore.
And that is the real truth of the Bible, and that is the real good news of the Bible, of hope of eternal life, and the end of pain, suffering, and especially the end of death. Death is the great equalizer. Death is the greatest enemy of mankind.
Death awaits us all, and death is something that we have to overcome, but we can’t overcome it by ourselves. We need God to do it for us. And Jesus came, lived the perfect life that we can never do, died for our sins, not for his own, and was resurrected back to life in three days.
Three days and three nights in the belly of the earth, and was resurrected, and was the firstborn of many brethren. The firstborn, that’s what the Bible calls it. Firstborn.
Jesus was born again. Born again, as you heard the other day, is not a religious experience. It is a physical thing that’s going to happen to Christians.
They are going to be born into the Spirit and be God’s literal children. Born again means we’re coming out of the womb of the church into new beings, spiritual beings, and we’ll live forever. We will be immortal.
You know, the Bible says only God has immortality. The devil does not even have immortality. Only God.
And so when we become gods, when we are born again, we will have immortality like Christ has,like the Father has. A lot better story, a lot better ending than what you’re taught in churches.These people who are just trying to con you.
Most of these people, I don’t even think, believe what they teach, unfortunately. Now, getting back to other misconceptions, nowadays in modern revisionist history, one of the misconceptions we have is that our forefathers who wrote the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence were all either atheists or agnostics, and they weren’t really strong Christians. And the ones who claim to be strong Christians, many of them had affairs, many of them sinned, many of them hadextramarital affairs, like I said, or they maybe cheated on their expense account.
You know, there is a book that was written many years ago when I was going to college, and it was, I think it was entitled something like, George Washington’s Expense Account. And it’s kind of funny, because Washington kind of fudged like most sales people do. See, when he was commissioned to take over the army, the Continental Congress had no money.
It was kind of broke. And Martha Washington, George’s wife, was very wealthy. And so shebankrolled George’s army.
And so he was promised if he itemized what he spent of her fortune for the army, he would be reimbursed after the war was over. And so he did every day an expense account. And this is how the expense account went.
It was kind of funny. It would say, breakfast with the troops, $1.98. Lunch with the troops, $2.10. Miscellaneous for the day, $1,400,364. And that is really what he did.
He itemized the most smallest things he could prove, but he always threw at the end of the day some big, big number that the Continental Congress, when the war was over, was going to have to pay him back. So yes, so maybe he was a little bit of a shyster when it came to his expense accounts. A lot of salesmen are.
But that doesn’t make him an atheist or an agnostic or a non-Christian. George Washington read scriptures every single day of his life. He knew God was in control.
He was a devout believer in God. So were most of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. Many were ministers.
Many of them understood who Israel was and that we were the new Israel. Many of them believed that this was the country that God ordained from the time of Genesis. So the idea that our forefathers were mainly atheists and agnostics is a misconception that is portrayed in our schools and our universities by a group of anti-God atheists who want to promote revisionist history and not true history.
I give you another misconception that people have that has really not that much to do with God and the Bible here, but it’s a misconception. People believe that the theory of evolution is proven science. That we came from, you know, lovesick amoeba and eventually an orangutan and a chimpanzee, and we came up and that’s where our forefathers are.
That’s why every one of us, we have pictures on a wall of our forefathers and our, you know, our mother and our father, and somewhere up there we have a picture of a gorilla. I don’t think we do. But we are taught, when I went to school, it was a theory of evolution.
Today it’s the fact, the science of evolution. There’s been nothing to prove evolution. Evolution, like global warming, is the biggest con job that was perpetrated on science.
There’s nothing scientific about evolution. In fact, true science shows you that evolution is impossible. There is something in science called the law of entropy, that everything in creation, everything breaks down.
If you put a piece of steel out in the weather, it’s going to rust away and in centuries maybe be gone. Even plastics made by human beings, which are killing us, even plastics, if you throw a bottle out into the ocean, a plastic bottle, it’s going to last four or five hundred years before it finally totally breaks down to nothing. It may be even longer.
But everything has a lifespan that breaks down with time. All animal life, all plant life breaks down over time. They age and they decay and die.
But evolution tries to tell us things get smarter over time, things get better, things go uphill. But the law of entropy, which is a provable scientific fact, proves that it cannot happen. Another scientific principle that absolutely dispels the idea of evolution, and you may not be aware of this because your teachers at school who taught you evolution didn’t get into the real nitty-gritty about evolution.
Where did the first animal come from? Where did the first life come from? They’re going to try to say it was this ammonia soup in the ocean that was struck by electricity and it became alive. That is what’s in the evolutionary books, my friends. That’s what they believe.
They may not get into that unless you ask them that question, which I made a mistake one time and asked my biology professor in college and got an answer I didn’t want to hear. And the truth is they believe life came from non-life. And that is what the middle-aged idiots believed, that, you know, they saw maggots come out of flowers, so they thought flower gave birth to maggots.
They didn’t know that a fly had landed in there and laid eggs they couldn’t see, and those eggs survived after flower and became the maggot. They believed in spontaneous generation. And what did science of the time prove? There is no such thing as spontaneous generation.
That all life has to come from a former life. Life does not come from death, except when God resurrects you from the dead, that is. But that is one of the misconceptions that people have.
They believe that now evolution is a science. They promoted it for so long as a theory, they kind of murfed it into science. When there is absolutely no proof that evolution occurred, it’s impossible that it occurred, every scientific thing that is a fact proves that it didn’t occur, and they got everyone to swallow it.
Therefore, when you swallowed that evolution occurred, you also really, in your mind, became an atheist. And that was the whole purpose of teaching you evolution. Now we’re into this global warming, another great hoax like evolution.
There is no scientific fact of global warming. If there’s anything, we are in a global cooling area right now, and that is, that’s a scientific fact. But this idea that man-made global warming is going to do away with life on earth, and so we have to give up our liberties in order to survive as a species.
Well, in 1975, when I was in college, the big deal at the time was we were in global cooling, and the whole earth was going to be frozen, and by 2020, the earth would have no life on it at all. It would be one giant iceberg. That’s what they taught.
Then when it looked like the earth was warming in the 1990s and early 2000s, then they had to change their theory to now, oh no, it’s not global cooling, it’s global warming, and that’s going to cause the earth to heat up, and all life will, the earth will become a giant desert. And by 2020, everything is going to be gone. Well, 2020 came around, the earth’s still going pretty damn strong, everything looks about the same other than the pollution and junk we cause on this earth.
But it’s time we wake up to the fact that we have been lied to, that this government lies to us, our scientists lies to us, and our clergy lies to us. We need to start using a brain. You know, God gave you a brain to think.
God did not give animals a brain to think. Most animals don’t sit around there and ponder and read Plato and read the Bible and just wonder about their fate. They don’t sit around and muse,what am I going to do tomorrow? That’s not what’s in an animal brain.
But God put in your brain the ability to think, to think and to plan and to understand history and to be able to make your life better through your thought process. You’re not, there is no animal like you. You are an animal.
We got into that yesterday. And God says, and agrees with science, you are born and on this earth just like an animal. You’re made of the same elements of an animal, and you’re going to die like an animal, and you’re going to rot in the ground like an animal.
But your brain is not animalistic at all. Your brain is like that of God’s brain. You can think, you can plan, you know right from wrong, and you are to use that brain God gave you to research and to hold fast to the truth and reject what is a lie.
That is what God wants you to do. And when you look and you study real science, real science proves the existence of God. Life can only come from life itself.
Two people get together, and when they, when you know if you’re a mother or you’re a father and the first child was coming along, I don’t believe any of you thought it was going to be a new species coming out of you, if you’re the woman or if you’re the man out of your wife. I don’t think you’re going to believe that in one bit. You know what’s coming out of you is another human being.
Because not only does life give birth to life, but life gives birth to the exact same species of life. A horse cannot give birth to anything but a horse. A cow cannot give birth to anything but a cow.
An oak tree produces an oak tree, not a pine tree. Everything stays within its own species. That proves God.
That proves, that’s scientific proof that evolution, again, is a total lie. You know you have a pond and they say this fish evolved into a frog. Well, unless in that same pond another fish evolved into a frog of the opposite sex, what did that frog mate with? Because once it became a frog, it was a different species, and it no longer could mate with the fish that it was once, that it came from.
As you can see, this whole thing, when you break it down, falls apart. They try to tell you the Bible falls apart, that God falls apart, but it’s the exact opposite. They’re good, you know, scientists, I compare them now to good Democrats.
They’re really good at lying. They’re really good at taking the truth, twisting it, and telling you the exact opposite is the truth, and that the truth is wrong. Isn’t that what’s going on today? They can’t even tell you what’s a woman and what’s a man.
They can’t tell you, that’s why I said in the beginning, I’m Bob Barney, hopefully you know who you are, because today so many people don’t know who they are. They don’t even know what sexthey are. They can’t even look down and see something or nothing and decide what they are.
That’s why I asked a question. Now, hopefully you do know what you are. If you know what you are, and you listen, and you use your brain, you know what? You’re going to find truths that maybeyour government, your minister, your leaders do not want you to know, and that is there is a God.
God is in control of your destiny ultimately. In the short term, you’re in control of your destiny, and other godless people around you are in control of your destiny, but if you were to find the real God, and He’s trying to find you right now, He’s opening the door for you to listen, to take my words and go to the Bible and see if I’m telling you the truth or not, try to prove God. If you search for God diligently, God promises you’ll find Him.
God is not hard to find if you really search for Him diligently, but you’ve got to do the work. It’s not free like, you know, the holy rollers want to tell you. You’ve got to do something.
God wants you to work hard to find Him, and there’s a reason for it. The harder you work for something, the more you treasure it. The more stuff is given to you, the less you treasure it.
Just think of welfare, and think of people who work for a living. Someone who works hard for a living to get ahead treasures what they worked for. They take care of their cars, they take care of their homes, they take care of their possessions because they know how hard it was for them to get it.
People that are just given stuff, either they’re rich or they’re poor. Poor get it from the government, the rich get it from their rich dad. They abuse it.
They don’t justify how they got it. They don’t care how they got it, and they don’t see the value in what they have. And they live a miserable existence because they don’t see a value.
They turn to drugs, and they turn to booze, and they turn to all kinds of perversions, and end up dead. A lifeless, worthless life. When if they only had been able to use their brains, and work, and study, and work hard for something, they would have appreciated what they got.
And that is, again, one of the greatest misconceptions that people have. That God is giving you free love, and no matter what you do, you can be forgiven. It’s a lie.
Just like evolution’s a lie, this idea that it’s all loving God who will forgive every sin that you do is a lie. Because if God did that, then sin would prevail constantly forever. And sin is what God is not going to allow himself to live in, or live near, or live among.
You want to be with God, you have to strive to be sinless. Not that you will be sinless in the human form, but you got to strive. You got to admit it.
If you admit it, that’s like a drunk. He’s got to admit he’s a drunk before he can become sober. Well, the same thing, you have to admit you’re a sinner, that you break laws in order to find forgiveness from God, and to work your way back.
Again, that is what the gospel, that is what the Bible tells you you have to do. But you got to start with your own mind, with the brain that God gave you, to do your own research, to open up the Bible, read something. If you don’t understand it, do look in concordances, and dictionaries, and what other people say, and Bible commentaries.
See if they seem to be telling you what God really says there, or they’re just following some kind of religious dogma. Do that for yourself, and you will find God. It’s a biblical misconception, it’s a misconception to think that God’s going to find you no matter what you do, and he’s going to forgive you from it no matter what you do, because that’s lawlessness.
And lawlessness is a house divided against itself, and it cannot stand. It’s that simple. So I just wanted to get there and talk about these things that you’ve been taught since you were an infant.
Much of it is a lie. I found that out many years ago, and like you listening to me right now, you don’t want to hear it. You don’t want to believe that so much stuff that you have accepted as being the truth is not the truth.
It’s a fake world fostered upon you by people who want to control you, manipulate you, and make you do what they want you to do. And this is what we try to do with The Plain Truth. We try to show people to use their brains, to do the research.
We put up a lot of stories that you can look at about a lot of different things. We are a news organization, we’re not a religion. And we want people to see that God is part of the news, and that God has things to say.
And God has predictions that God’s made, and they’re coming true every single day. And we just don’t see they’re coming true, because we don’t know who we are in the Bible, what our identity is. We don’t understand who the real God is.
We don’t understand the difference between God the Father and Jesus Christ, and who the God of the Old Testament was, what the Holy Spirit really is. We are confused, and we are confused because our leaders want us to be confused. Confused people are enslaved.
People that are free are no longer confused. They have things figured out. And that is what I want you to understand.
You need to take control of your destiny. You need to take control of what’s going on in your life,and you can do so. God will come to you.
God will present Himself to you. It’s going to take a while. There’s times in my life I am so far away in thinking that God has abandoned me.
It’s happened my whole life. There’s times I, in despair, I’ve told God to go away. If you are real,get out of my life.
But I knew the next morning when I woke up that God was real. I can’t wish Him away. I can’t wish away what He wants done.
I can’t wish away what is sin, what is not sin. You have to face reality. You have to face what your mind and your Bible tells you.
You have to realize that God is real. Evolution is not real. And God has a plan for you.
And it’s a good plan. And you can succeed. And you can overcome this world.
You can overcome the devil. And you can find true freedom and true liberty. And you can find eternal life, which you do not have until you earn it.
Yes, earn it. It’s not free. Your eternal life is something you have to earn.
I’m sorry, you don’t want to believe that. You think the Bible doesn’t say that, but it is. Your forgiveness is free if, again, you accept Jesus Christ.
In everything you do, you have to do something in order to earn it. Well, I’m about out of time again today. And I think we’ve exhausted this subject.
And maybe we’ll get into something different. There are many other misconceptions that the world has about religion, about their government, about their history, about things in history that just simply did not happen and they think happens, about what UFOs are and what they are not. There are all kinds of things.

And I think if you give us a chance and you tell your friends about us, you will learn things that you’ve never learned before.
I don’t think there is another website that has all the different angles that the plain truth has. I really believe that. It’s free.
You don’t pay a dime for it. We’re not asking for money. It’s got to mean something because you’re never going to get a letter from me saying, oh, I’m headlong in debt, even if I am.
You’re not going to hear it. I might go off the air someday if I’m headlong in debt, but I’m notgoing to beg for money. Because if God wants this message out, it’s going to get out and the money will be there on my own.
