Hi, Bob Barney here for The Plain Truth today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com. Here now
in Lake Waramaug, Connecticut for our feast. My wife and I drove up yesterday and took an extra day than we had planned to because of traffic, so we spent the night in Delaware on the first day of the feast. I’m recording this on the second day of the feast, a bit early because this show is for the third day of the feast.

This morning we had a non authorized type show about Feast of Tabernacles from a Chinese
woman. I thought it sounded pretty good. It has nothing to do with us and I’m not sure how to
agree with all of her doctrine, but she had a very good commentary.

She has a whole series of webcasts on each day of the Feast of Tabernacles explaining why
Christians need to observe the Feast of Tabernacles because what it does for them is shows
them the true plan of God, and she has a very good video. If you didn’t see it, I think it’s only
about 10-12 minutes. I think it’s worth watching, and I think it’s worth watching especially if you
are one of those who do not understand about the Day of Atonement and the Feast of
Tabernacles which we are into today.

Ten days into the seventh month, we had last week as the Day of Atonement, and it had a very
New Testament significance, and five days after the Day of Atonement starts a seven-day
festival. It’s really eight, and I’ll explain that in a second, called the Feast of Tabernacles, and it’s
seven days. The first day was supposed to be a holy convocation, they call it, or a holy assembly,
a holy church service to commemorate the first day of the idea of the millennium.

The Feast of Tabernacles is really symbolizing the millennium, and then there’s seven days of
the Feast, but then there is an eighth day, so the Feast is really eight days long, which again is a
holy assembly, it’s a holy meeting, it’s a holy church service on the eighth day, which is called
the Great Last Day, which symbolizes that part of Revelation where God the Father comes to
live with his creation along with Jesus Christ, the two gods of the Bible, collectively known as
Elohim, or God, the Godhead, and will live with his creation, and that celebrates the end of the
millennium, the thousand-year reign of Christ, and the beginning of all eternity of living with
God the Father, Jesus Christ, and creating and redesigning and helping to establish the entire
universe with God’s people, God’s plans, God’s beauty, and everything will be redone. You
understand when Jesus Christ and God the Father created the heavens and the earth and all of
the universe, the stars and the galaxies, that was created in perfection, there was no damage,
there was no pot marks on the moon, there was no meteor crites, there was no dried up, no
water on Mars or Venus, all the things we see today is a destroyed universe, because the Bible
clearly shows us there was a war in heaven, and Satan and his angels that became demons
warred against God, Jesus, and their angels, and was cast down to this earth. Long before, by
the way, the earth was recreated and Adam and Eve were placed upon it to rule over it.

And if you want to, you can read about this great battle that’s happened, and I think the one in
Revelation 12, 7, 17, is the description, before this world was recreated, the earth that we’re on
today is older than the six or seven thousand, whatever many years, some people have said it’s
six thousand years old, could be ten thousand, the Bible’s not that clear, it seems to symbolize
the earth is only six thousand years old, the recreated earth. There was an earth maybe four
billion years ago, we don’t know, that was created when the heavens and the earth was first
created, this is long before the time of Adam and Eve, and the devil was then Lucifer, an
archangel of light, he rebelled against God, was then thrown down to this earth, and was then
therefore placed over this earth as his kingdom. I believe, this is not biblical, I always tell you
when something’s not biblical, but it is my belief, and I think you can really usurp this from
certain lines of the Bible, that the devil destroyed or corrupted everything that the first earth
was made by God, and that’s why we have these large dinosaurs, for example.

I do not believe these creation scientists, by the way, say that dinosaurs lived with mankind, I
don’t believe that happened, I believe that there was a world before this world, the Bible seems
to imply it in different places, we won’t get into it today, but you can do an internet search and
say, was there an earth before this earth, according to the Bible, and I haven’t done that search,
but I might do so after the show, but I think if you do, you’ll find many theologians have come
to the conclusion, because of the wording in Genesis 1.1, that the earth was created by God,
and was formless and void, and if you look in the concordance for the word that was translated,
was, it can be translated, and I believe it’s most accurately translated, became, so it should
read, in the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth, and the earth became formless
and void, now why should I say this, I’ll take a side note here, I should say this, because God,
this is in your Bible, God is not the author of confusion, God did not make a world that was
formless and void, in confusion, that’s not how God creates, he creates in perfection, so
therefore, the right word, instead of the earth was formless and void, the right word would be,
became formless and void, implying there was a world before the world of Adam and Eve, and I
believe that is the case, so when we go to, going back to the study here, when we go to
Revelation 12, 7 through 17, you’re going to see that the first, I don’t know, few chapter, verses
of this, from 7 to 17, deals with the time before Adam and Eve, and then it runs to the end time,
right before the millennium, this is how the Middle Eastern thought works, and if you study
from theologians, that the Middle Eastern thought, that is the Bible’s writing, is not necessarily
always in a chronological sequence, for example, when it says the earth was, on day four, God
created a greater light to light the day, the sun, and the lesser delight to moon, and he created
the stars also, so many people think that that means on day four, God created all the universe
and the stars, that is not what is, that is not the Middle Eastern mind, it’s like you’re going, it’s
like you’re gonna say, I’m gonna get this right now, on day three of the feast, we traveled to
Lake Waramaug, which was made by God, well, Lake Waramaug was made by God, naturally, it’s
a spring lake, it’s not made by man, but it was not made on the third day of the feast, it’s just
saying that, it’s giving you a little history, not explaining when it was made, it’s just saying the
same God that created the sun and the moon, also created the stars, they’re gonna have been
four billion, 10 billion, 20 billion years before the earth was even created originally, that’s why
you have to understand that when you’re understanding Revelation 12 through 17, I’m sorry,
12, seven through 17, many years, centuries, eons are going by here, so on verse seven, it says,
and there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels fought against the dragon, and the
dragon fought and his angels, and prevailed not, neither was their place found anymore in
heaven, and the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent called the devil and Satan, which
deceiveth the whole world, he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with
him, and then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, now is come salvation and strength in the
kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ, for the accuser of his brethren is cast down,
which accused him, them, I’m sorry, before God day and night, and they overcame him by the
blood of the lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved their lives up until death,
and therefore rejoice you heavens, that you dwell in them, woe to the inhabitants of earth, and
to the sea, for the devil has come down upon you, having great wrath, because he knows his
time is short, this unquote, that’s the end of verse 13, what I’m saying here is this first part of
the devil being cast out of heaven, has already occurred before Adam and Eve, he was cast
from heaven with his demons to this earth, where they were told they had to stay, now we
know from the book of Job that the devil can go to heaven and ask God permission to do things
on this earth, but there is no more battle in heaven, that battle took place, the universe was
destroyed in this great star wars that took place, this is my opinion, but I think this opinion has
a lot of biblical hints to it, and then millions, if not a billion years go by, and the earth is
recreated, the earth is still cast on earth, and then now he has a human race to deal with, that
he knows is going to become God, greater than he ever could have been, because he’s only an
angel, and now he knows his time is short, and you say, well, how can 6,000 years of mankind
be short? Remember, a day to God is like 1,000 years of man, so 1,000 years of man is like a day
of God, and of an angel as well, so you’re talking about 6,000 years to Satan is the same as six
days to you, you understand? So therefore, we understand that the devil, when he was cast to
earth, and remember, Jesus said, I saw the devil fall from heaven, remember that verse? Let me
find that for you right now, find that in Luke chapter 10, verse 18, Jesus speaking, yes, he told
them, I saw Satan fall from heaven like lightning, look, I have given you the authority and all the
power over the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them, going
on and on, so when he says, long before it’s being written by John in Revelation about Satan
and the battle in heaven, Jesus said, when he was still walking this earth, he saw this happen,
he saw Satan cast to earth, so when you’re understanding Revelation 17, 12, I’m sorry,
Revelation chapter 12, verse 17, or 12 through 17, you will see that it goes through, you know,
who knows, a billion years, the angels had a war with God in heaven long before this earth was
recreated, and he was cast to this earth, and then after mankind, the earth was recreated, and
after mankind came to this earth, the devil thought his time was short, 6,000 years, six days, I
think that’s quite clear, but what I wanted to get to on this day three of the Feast of
Tabernacles, this plan of God can be understood when you understand that the entire holy days
that God expects us to follow, from Passover all the way to this Feast of Tabernacles we’re into,
it’s showing you the entire plan of God and God’s plan for your potential future, which is to be
God like they are, and that is what is being promised in the Gospels, that really is the good
news, gospel just means good news, that’s really what it is, what your destiny is to become God,
like Jesus Christ is God, and God the Father, they’ll be your father and your brother, that’s
what’s happening, and when we understand during the Feast of Tabernacles, this represents
the millennium, right before God the Father comes, which we’ll talk about on the great last day
next week, right before God comes to live with us at the end of millennium, and there will be
again a new heaven and a new earth, and this new heaven and new earth will be one place,
which will be here in this physical place we call earth, but it will be recreated again, it became
formless and void and be recreated again, as it was I think in Genesis 1, and we will see God the
Father living amongst his people, along with Jesus Christ ruling all the creation, and we will be
God’s recreating the entire destroyed universe, and that’s what I believe is the real message of
what you’re going to do in your future if you want to be a part of all this, and to be a part of all
this, all you got to do is tell God, Jesus Christ, that you want to be a part of all this, and give you
the power to be a good Christian, and to obey and follow whatever he tells you to do, and I
always tell you, don’t listen to your pastor, don’t listen to your minister, don’t listen to me, don’t
listen to any human being trying to get you away from what the Bible plainly says, the Bible
plainly says if you go and you pray to Jesus Christ for forgiveness of your sins, and you are
really truly sorry for your sins, and you have to admit you’re like a drunk, you have to admit
you’re a drunk before you can get helped, well you have to admit you’re a sinner before you
can be helped and forgiven of a sin, you can’t say it, this is human nature, this is me, God loves
me the way I am, because that’s not going to get you anywhere, but if you admit you’re a
sinner, and you ask Jesus Christ to come into your life, and take over your life, and control your
life, and you obey what Christ tells you to do.

When you start reading the Bible, you will learn constantly over and over again the mistakes you’ve made, the assumptions you’ve made were wrong, God will overlook all of your mistakes as long as you’re keeping your eye on the
prize, and you’re trying to do the best you know how, God is not going to abandon you once
you have given your life over to Jesus Christ, he’s going to be there, he’s your defense attorney
in heaven, that’s what the Bible actually says, you read that in Romans, I’m sorry Hebrews, he is
your defense attorney, when we read Hebrews by the way, you go to chapter 7, and it starts out
by saying, for this Melchizedek, and remember Jesus is not made in the order, the priestly order
of Aaron, which were humans that make mistakes, and they sin, and they themselves need
forgiveness of their sins, he was made in the order of Melchizedek, it is my belief Jesus was the
Melchizedek of Abraham’s time by the way, a priest of the most high God, met Abraham
returning from the slaughter of the kings, and he blessed him, Abraham gave him a tenth of all
he had, so he gave a tithe or a tenth to Melchizedek, and he goes on to say, now if perfection
had been made attainable through the Levitical priesthood, that’s through Aaron, what further
need would there have been for another priest to arise in the order of Melchizedek, rather than
one named in the order of Aaron, for when there was a change in the priesthood, there has to
be a change in the law as well, and he goes on to say that it becomes more evident when
another priest arises in the likelihood of Melchizedek, who has become a priest, not on the
basis of legal requirements concerning bodily descent, but by power of an indestructible life,
for it is witness to him, you are a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek, and that’s what
Jesus is, he is our high priest, he is the person, defends us in the heavenly court, we go on in
Hebrews chapter 9, but when Christ appeared as a high priest of the good things that have
come, then through the greater and more perfect tent, not made a tent, you know, they’re
talking about the Feast of Tabernacles here, the Feast of Tabernacles really means the Feast of
Tents, not made with hands like we do, but is made by creation, he entered once and for all into
the holy place, not by means of the blood of goats and calves, but by the means of his own
blood, thus securing a new eternal redemption, for if the blood of goats and bulls and the
sprinkling of a defiled person with ashes of a heifer sanctify for the purifications of the flesh,
how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal spirit offered himself without
blemish to God, purify our conscience from dead works to serving the living God. Therefore, he
is the mediator of a new covenant, so that those who are called may receive the promised
eternal inheritance, since a death has occurred that redeems them from the transgressions
committed under the first covenant, the law is part of the first covenant, we’re still under the
law until we’re born again, but however, he goes on and says, a will like a will and testament
only takes effect upon the death of the person who wrote it and is not in force as long as the
one who made it is still alive, therefore not even the first covenant was inaugurated without
blood, for when every commandment of the law had been declared by Moses to all the people,
he took the blood of calves and goats and with water and scarlet wood hyssop and sprinkled
both the book itself and the people saying this is the blood of the covenant of God that he has
commanded to you, and in the same way he sprinkled with blood both the tent, meaning the
holy tabernacle, and all the vessels used in worship, indeed under the law almost everything is
purified by blood, or there is no forgiveness of sins, thus it was necessary for the copies of the
heavenly things to be purified with these rites on earth, but the heavenly things themselves
with better sacrifices than these, for Christ has entered not into a holy place made with hands,
which copies of the true things in heaven itself, but now appears in the presence of God,
meaning the father, on our behalf, because he is our defense attorney, nor was it to offer
himself repeatedly as the high priest enters the holy place every year, but not with the blood of
his own, but with the blood of a bull, for then he would not have to suffer repeatedly since the
foundation of the world, but as it is he has appeared once and for all at the end of the ages to
put away sin, at the end of the ages, notice that, to put away sin by sacrifice of himself, and just
as it was appointed for man to die once and after that comes judgment, so Christ, having been
offered once to bear our sins for many, will appear a second time, not to deal with sin any
longer, but to save those who are eagerly waiting for him, and that is the idea of these feasts
that we follow, the Feast of Tabernacle, and the Feast of Passover, and all of these holy days,
when we understand the plan of God, we also understand what is expected of us to do in our
daily worship of God, and you may say right now, I thought this is not a religious site, I thought
this is a news site that just mentions God in the news, well it is a news site, and I am not an
evangelist, and I’m not a priest, and I’m a minister, though I guess biblically speaking, we’re all
Christians, we’re ministers of Christ and God to the world, but the news has to include the
gospel, because the gospel is the greatest news, good news, that’s what gospel means, the
gospel is just old English for good news, that’s why you see a translation of the translation, it is
news, the gospel is a news event, like your Sunday paper, or the watching TV news on TV, and
so this is very much a part of today’s news, the plain truth is a news site, and I am trying to be a
newscaster that includes the plan of God, because if you do not understand the plan of God, all
the other news that you think is important, excuse me, is not important at all, not one bit,
because after all, God is real, God’s plan is going to happen, and that’s the most important
news that will ever come across your TV screen or your newspaper, is that there is a world
coming called the millennium in your Bible, and it’s going to happen, and there is these holy
days that God wants you to follow, not Christmas, not Easter, not Halloween, not Sunday
worship, he wants you to follow the holidays that God created for us. We are not created for the
holidays, they were created for us to understand God’s plan of the good news of the kingdom
of God that is coming to rule this earth for a thousand years, and then to be replaced by yet
another new heaven and earth, where the eternal father and Christ rules forever and ever, and
we help them conquer or recreate the entire destroyed universe.

We have such an awesome task ahead of us, we can’t even imagine, and I got news for you, I
can’t even imagine it. When I think about it sometimes, I’m in the middle of the night, I can’t
sleep, sometimes I think about godly things, makes me fall asleep, I don’t know if that’s good or
bad, but it’s what I am, and I sit there and I start studying in my mind what it could be like, and
it kind of makes me tired. I think it makes you tired because you feel comfortable about the
plan of God.

When you really understand the plan of God, it gives you a peace and a security that no person
on earth can give you. The only thing that can give you this security is the idea there is a world
to come, and you’re going to be a part of it if you want to be. You select God.
God, yes, God calls you, but you select God by your character. God looked at the character of
Noah, and what did he say? Noah was found righteous amongst his generations. He didn’t say
Noah was found to be a perfect man, he said he was the best of the generation.
Doesn’t mean that Noah was better than you or I. Same with Abraham, he was the best of his
generation, and he said be thou perfect, that’s what he tells Abraham, but that doesn’t mean
Abraham was ever perfect, and you can tell by reading his story in the Bible he wasn’t perfect.
You know David wasn’t perfect, yet he was called the man after God’s own heart. So you don’t
have to be perfect, but you have to want to strive to become perfect, and you will be perfect
when you are born again out of the grave, and you become God if you are a Christian.
The future you have is too tremendous to trivialize it with Sunday school, and Christmas, and
what presents I’m gonna get, and what candy’s in the Easter basket, and what the Easter bunny
means, and all of this other nonsense that the so-called Christian churches push over on their
subjects, and it’s terribly wrong, and God is not happy with it. Well, that’s feast day three,
tomorrow will be feast day four, there’ll be Sabbath, again we’ll have a Sabbath show for feast
day five. If I have time during this feast celebration on my own, I probably will do a Sabbath
show on the day five of the feast, talking about some other issues about the feast, and the holy
days that I think you might find interesting.

a news site, but after all, a lot of things that’s going on has to do with God, and God’s influence,

I always will end by saying this on these broadcasts, go to the Bible yourself, go to an easy read
translation, the ESV is a good one, the New Living Testament, the Living Bible, the NIV is decent,
the New King James Version is kind of hard to read, but it is very accurate to the King James
Version. But find at first the easiest understanding Bible, even if it’s an audio Bible. My wife and
I listen now to an audio Bible on our Sabbaths, and every night when we sit on the porch and
we listen to, we try to go through the Bible in a year, and we listen to certain verses.
We might listen to the whole book of Hebrews, for example, as we did last Sabbath. No, I’m
sorry, yeah, on last Sabbath we did, we read the whole book of Hebrews, or we listened to it in
the ESV version on the Bible app, and it was very good to listen to, and it’s very relaxing. You sit
there, and you just study it, and you listen to it.

You’re not reading the words on the page and trying to understand, you’re listening to the
whole message, and then it’s good maybe to go back into a King James or a New King James
Version, a more accurate one, and then study it word by word of things that maybe you didn’t
understand or try to get a better explanation. That’s how you get closer to God, and that’s how
you stop from falling into man’s trap of following Satan’s holy days instead of This is Bob
Barney on day three of the Feast of Tabernacles, and we’ll see you again here tomorrow on day
four. Hopefully, I said, if God’s willing, I’ll do one for day five, and we’ll figure out the rest of the
feast.

We’re trying to also have a little bit of relaxation. We have not had a vacation in three years
from our regular work, and from this as well, though I don’t find the plain truth work. I find it
actually fun, but this is the first time we really had a good feast for three years for many other
reasons.

Some is a personal reason, stuff like that, but we’ve had three years before we’ve even traveled
away from our little spear of our paint plant and our home, a beautiful home that we have, and
we really look forward to going back to where we both came from. I knew Tammy when she
was a waitress in a diner called the Windmill Diner, and I was in love with her at first sight, so
it’s really nice to be back here. It’s been 45 years since I lived around here, but it seems like it’s
not been more than four.
