The Plain Truth is so Happy That You Have Been Enjoying Bob’s Broadcasts.
2000 years ago, a newscaster that we know of as Jesus Christ warned us about false Christianity. The warning was not against the devil but against false Christianity…about people who come in His name and deceive many.

Hi, Bob Barney with the 7-Eleven Short Show today. I wanted to get into something, I know we’re past the Christmas season, but I wanted to make one last point about this idea that you constantly hear from people about, let’s put Christ or let’s keep Christ in Christmas where he belongs. And of course, if you listen to this show, you know Christ does not belong in Christmas, never was there, never will be there, and it’s an affront to God for us to celebrate Christmas, which is a holiday that celebrates the death of children by throwing them into a hot pot-bellied stove that looked similar to what we have Santa Claus look like.
That’s the whole history of Christmas, and when you try to put Christ in Christmas, you’re
putting Christ into child sacrifice. That’s the plain truth. But let’s take this to a logical conclusion
here in this 7-Eleven Short Show, and I just got to have a question.
Okay, I am going to concede to allow Christ to be put in Christmas if you as a Christian who
wants to see Christ in Christmas, if you agree right now, how many of you will agree to do away
with a Christmas tree, because everyone knows a Christmas tree has nothing to do with the
Bible, has nothing to do with Jesus Christ, has everything to do with paganism. So will you do
away with the Christmas tree? Will you do away with, for example, mistletoe and all the
adornment that goes on around Christmastime, because we know it’s pagan, has nothing to do
with Jesus Christ. Are you willing to tell your children from infancy there is not a Santa Claus,
because Santa Claus is really an evil person throughout history.
There is no good story of Saint Nick, no matter what people want to tell you. So if we’re going to
keep Christ in Christmas, are you willing to get rid of the Christmas tree? Are you willing to get
rid of the idea of teaching your child there is a Santa Claus that knows if he’s good or bad,
which you know is a lie. And why are you lying to your children in the first place? If you want to
tell them the truth about Jesus Christ on Christmas Day, then tell them the truth about Jesus
Christ and read the narrative from the Bible.
However, if you read the narrative from the Bible, you won’t really find too much of the idea
you have about Christmas. You won’t find that there was three wise men appearing when he
was born, like all the manger scenes show, because the wise men didn’t show up until little
Jesus was a little boy now in living in a house. That’s what the Bible says.
He was probably more than one year old the time they visited him. Just read the Bible for
yourself. So again, are you willing to give up traditions of Christmas that have nothing to do
with the Bible, that have nothing to do with the gospel of Jesus Christ, in order to keep Christ in
Christmas? And the last point I want to ask you, are you willing to give up giving gifts to your
children and to yourselves on Christmas? Because nowhere in the birth stories of Christ was
anybody but Jesus Christ getting any presents.
They brought, you know, the three presents, the wise men, there’s really, we don’t know how
many wise men there was. There was maybe two, there was maybe three, there was maybe 15.
They had three gifts, myrrh, frankincense, and gold, and they were given to the child.
They weren’t given to Mary or Joseph or to each other. The wise men didn’t show up to the
house and start giving presents to each other. So again, if we want to follow a biblical
Christmas, which is almost obscene to think about it, but if we are going to concede that fact,
are you willing to give up giving gifts to your children, to yourself, to your loved ones? Because
that is, again, a pagan origin.
If you’re going to give a gift to anyone, give it to your church or give it to Christ himself, and see
how your Christmas is now going to go over, that you are no longer going to do all the things
that everyone has to agree with, including the Catholic Church, are pagan in origin. The
Christmas tree, giving presents, and the idea of mistletoe and all of the gift giving and things
like that, that simply are pagan origins, have nothing to do with the biblical narrative, and I’d
like to see if you’re willing to give those up in order to put Christ in the Christmas where he
belongs, and I’ll make you a bet you are not willing to give those up, because you’re lying to
yourself if you’re celebrating Christmas and you’re keeping a tree, you’re keeping Santa Claus,
and you’re keeping gift giving, because any honest person, and you listen to my voice right
now, you’re hearing an honest answer, and if you’re honest with yourself, you know that I just
named to you is nothing to do with Christ, nothing to do with the Bible, it has to do with your
own corruption and your own greed of getting, has nothing to do with giving to Christ, giving
to God his due, and giving him the day of his so-called birth, even though you know and I know
there is no such passage in the Bible that even hints that Jesus Christ was born in December,
not one hint. As a matter of fact, every clue in the Bible, every passage of the Bible mentioning
his birth is either a fall birth or a spring birth.
I believe it’s a fall birth, there are some scholars who believe it could have been a Passover
birth, but the point being here, there is no scholar, there is no minister, and there is no priest
that honestly believes that Jesus Christ was born on December 25th. They know what December
25th is, so if you want to get Christ into Christmas, which I say is impossible, but we’ll go there,
then I want to see you give up everything else that has nothing to do with the Christmas
narrative that you say Christ is a part of, and let’s see if you’re really honest with yourself,
because the problem is with traditions, we want our traditions more than we want to please our
God, because let’s be frank, if you’re following Christmas and you know what I just told you is
true, and you’re unwilling to change what you’re going to do, honestly, you are not a friend of
God. You don’t care what God thinks.
You don’t care at all what God thinks. You care what others around you think or what makes
you feel good. You don’t care what makes God feel good.
Had to get that off my chest, think about that, do all about that, and see if I am not right. Well,
anyway, that’s the 7-11 short show today, 7 minutes and 11 seconds. I’m out there, sometimes
different.
This is Bob Barney for The Plain Truth today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com. Wishing
everybody a new year, even though that’s pagan as well, but wishing everybody a good life, and
to keep studying the Bible, that’s what you need to do.
Bye-bye.
