The Plain Truth is so Happy That You Have Been Enjoying Bob’s Broadcasts.
2000 years ago, a newscaster that we know of as Jesus Christ warned us about false Christianity. The warning was not against the devil but against false Christianity…about people who come in His name and deceive many.
Hi, Bob Burney with the 7-Eleven Short, and today we’re talking about what today’s holiday is, and that is, today is what is called in the Bible, Firstfruits. So, to explain what Firstfruits is, and why it’s such an important holiday that no one follows, except for very few people who understand the holidays of the Bible, which we’re supposed to follow, and not man-made pagan holidays, Firstfruits symbolizes none other than Jesus Christ’s resurrection from the dead, and you can go to the Bible in Paul’s writings, and he says that Christ is the firstborn of the dead. He is Firstfruits, and the Old Testament holiday called Firstfruits followed the day after the last day of unleavened bread, that was yesterday, we did a program, and today is the Feast of Firstfruits, which celebrated back then the first of the harvest.
Well, who is the first of the harvest of the resurrection? Well, it’s none other than Jesus Christ. He is the firstborn of the dead, and everybody else who’s a Christian is going to come back to life like he did, in a spiritual form, after he returns, after the great trumpet sounds in Revelation, that is when the dead in Christ rise. If you don’t believe me, all you have to do is read the 15th chapter of 1 Corinthians, and you will see it’s called the resurrection chapter for a reason.
The Apostle Paul distinctly goes through the idea of what exactly the resurrection of dead Christian saints is, and it’s not what you are taught in your Sunday schools. It’s a time when everyone who was ever a Christian who today is, if they are dead today, they’re still in their grave, they did not go to heaven, they did not go to hell when they died. They’re in the grave awaiting for Christ to return at the end of this age, man’s age, to establish his new kingdom called the millennium.
It’s not, that word is not found in the Bible, but the thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ on earthas King of kings and Lord of lords. Well, he was dead, just like he was a human being, half God,half human, but he could die, and he died on the cross for everyone’s sins. Three days later, hecame back to life on a Saturday night, not Sunday morning as we went over last week during the first day of unleavened bread and Passover, but he is the first person to ever come back from the dead in a spiritual form.
Now, we’re not talking about like Lazarus or other people like Elijah raised people from the dead back to physical life. No, Christ was killed, put in a tomb, and three days later, he arose from that tomb, and he became a spiritual being and God again and ascended to the right hand of God the Father, and that is what today symbolizes. It symbolizes what happened to Christ is going to happen to you if you want it to the first time around, and follow what Christ said to do.
Follow his laws. The Ten Commandments were written by Jesus Christ’s own fingers as Lord of the Old Testament, because as I keep saying to people, the Lord of the Old Testament, the God that made Adam and Eve, the God that talked to Moses and gave him the law and wrote the Ten Commandments with his own finger, you can prove in the Bible that God became Jesus Christ the man. God the Father is never talking in the Old Testament, never doing things in the OldTestament.
He’s hinted to, but nobody back then even understood who God the Father was. The only God that Moses knew, that Jacob or Abraham knew, or Noah knew, was the God that became Jesus Christ, and when he walked out of that tomb, a spiritual being, and he became the firstborn of the Christian dead, it’s a symbol of what our great destiny is, and that is when we die or if we are lucky, if you want to call that lucky, if we’re lucky to be alive, when he returns, then we’re going to be instantly turned into a spirit. We don’t even have to die first.
You can read that in the last few chapters of Revelation, but when he returns, the dead in Christ come back to life as a spiritual being. They are no longer physical. They become gods.
That is your ultimate destiny, is to become God’s children. If you’re the children of your parents, you are in the image of your parents, and you are human beings. If you are children of God the Father and Jesus Christ, then you are gods.
People don’t teach that, but that’s what the Bible is telling you. God is reproducing themselves in mankind. That is our great, our absolute great destiny that just does not explain to too manypeople, especially when you follow the wrong holidays, that never even mention that.
Remember that every human life is a potential god. This is why abortion is so abhorrent to God or child sacrifice in the Old Testament, because when you’re killing another human being, especially an infant, you’re killing a potential human god to be like Christ. Now, just to let you know, youcannot really destroy that person.
You can kill the body, but you cannot kill the spirit that will be reborn again when God the Father and Jesus Christ call them back to life. Everyone who’s ever died, child in abortion or person in a war, in a car accident, whatever, they’re going to come back to life. They’re going to come back to life as a human being and be judged by their works, and after an infant, they will be given a chance to live a human life without Satan’s influence.
Read the last few chapters of Revelation, explains it all very simply, and then they themselves have a chance to become God’s children when they mature, and so many people will come back to life, physical life, and be judged, good or bad. They were found to be bad, they’re going to be burned up, not in a hellfire and suffering, torment forever and ever, sizzle like bacon on the stove. They’re going to be burned up and have no memory, but if they are found justified, they get a chance to do it all over again, and then without Satan’s influence, they will again become like the rest of the Christians who have already been raised from the dead as a spiritual God.
They will follow the same route after the thousand-year millennium is over with, and that is the amazing story that simply is told when you follow Christmas, or you follow Easter, or you follow Halloween, but when you follow God’s holidays and you understand them, you understand the wonderful plan of God.
