Most people today do not believe in the Old Testament stories, they think they are allegories and that they didn’t even really happen. One of the biggest secrets probably hidden from the average American and person in the world today are what the archeologists believe themselves about the Bible and the accuracy of the Bible.

People would be really surprised to know the Bible is much more accurate than people think it is when it comes to history.

In 1975, the world was sort of shaken and now it has been lost because of the media keeping this quiet, by the discovery of the Ebla Tablets some 15,000 tablets or so from the town of Babylon. This is the area of Mesopotamia, where Abraham was from.

The Ebla Tablets are at least 4,000 years old dating back to about 2000 BC. They were around the time of Abraham and maybe even a little after Abraham.

What did they find in these texts that surprised the scholars and theologians? some of the names! For example, most theologians up until 1975 believed that the Bible, especially the Torah, was written by several people over a period of over 500 years. For example, the Bible, the book of Genesis was written by one author and then reinterpreted by another author, called The J Document, the P document, so there was an original story, there was a belief where the people who believed in the name Yahweh being the true name of God came around 500 BC…long after King David. They are trying to say that King David did not know anything about the Yahweh God. They said it was reedited again by the Yahwists about 500 BC and they rewrote some of the Bible and added the word YAHweh, translated The lord in the King James Bible. Then there were the priestly ones that added rules and regulations not in the original.

The theory was that there were no words as YAH in the time of Abraham. Or EL, the word for God. Ishmael or Abraham they said were post Babylonian captivity. Then these Abla tablets were discovered in 1975 and they found these documents being fragments of clay writings words that they thought were quite recent in our history and they were not available at the time of let’s say Moses, Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob.

In these tablets they find EL or YAH for God. David as a proper name as in King David, and they found the name Ishmael by the way who was most likely the name of the Bible…they found Abraham and Abram. It put a shockwave on the theologian and architectural world because up until 1975 it was pretty positive that most of the stories from Genesis for sure were not real. The towns were not, the people, the events were not real. Then they find these clay tablets naming certain things. Then you had scholars come out and say maybe they did have the word EL and YAH but they certainly did not pertain to the God of Israel and that they didn’t know anything about Abraham or Isaac or any of the Old Testament.

Guess what?

In the Ebla tablets there two towns talked about. They were towns that were trading with them at the time called Sodom and Gomorrah. The other three towns mentioned in Gensis in the time of Abraham. So here we have a time about 2300 BC that we find these towns while they are still in existence, and they had not yet been destroyed. There was a reference of these 5 cities on the plain like you see in Gen 14:2. These were Sodom and Gomorrah, Adma Zepplin and Zor. We are told in the same verse that an earlier name for Zor was Bella. In the Ebla Tablets it says that Zor was renamed Bella. So, scientists had to rethink what they were thinking about the OT or kind of bury it in the news. That is what happened to the Ebla Tablets. Most people think that probably the Abraham story is not real, probably even the Isaac story isn’t. People believe that Sodom and Gomorrah are made up. That the Bible if full of vivid imagination of the Hebrews living there 2000 years before Christ made up stories about these places that never existed. Then we find that they do exist!

History as usual is either forgotten about and people have to admit somethings are true.

It is believed by the scholars that up until the mid 1960s that Israel never existed at all, that there was no King David and no House of David, not a House of David or Kings of Israel to the north and that the Egyptians knew nothing about Israel. THEN they come across something from 1990 that surprises them. A man named Frank Yugo an Egyptologist at the Field Museum of Natural History in Chicago found some clues and some ancient writings in Egypt. They found a pharaoh named Mene Poth in 1207 BC writing the following on a tablet…Israel is laid waste. Wait a minute, we were just told for hundreds of years that Israel never existed and that there was no Israel. Now all of the sudden we find this document that is 3200 years old, an Egyptian document by a Pharoah as to how Israel is layed to waste.

The Bible IS history!

Until 1993 there was no proof of the existence of King David. As a matter of fact, even in my early times of reading about Bible events in 74-76, I did not know this little-known fact that this discovery was made as I was still reading textbooks that claimed there was no proof of King David or King Solomon. I had read it was a Bible story made up around the Babylonian captivity of a former glorified kingdom that never really existed. That was the official story. I did not know however, maybe something that archeologists and theologians wanted to make clear, an ancient mount called TalDan in the north region of Israel in 1993 was uncovered. In the words were House of David translated. Also, it stated the words King of Israel. This proved that David was not a fable. He really was the King of Israel and that there even was an Israel. Originally this was found in the 70s but reinterpreted in the 90s.

RD Wilson wrote a scientific investigation of the Old Testament. He pointed out that the names of 29 kings from ten nations which were Egypt, Assyria, Babylon and more, were not only mentioned in the Bible but were found in monuments in other countries saying the same exact thing in the same chronological order that the Bible named them. Maybe one of the more fanciful things that theologians believe that they do not tell the public ever is that…well, I remember in 75 reading many archeological books and the statement being made is that there is no evidence outside of the Bible that Jesus Christ really existed.

Do you know that back in the sixties there actually was a book that claimed that Jesus was a code name for a mind-altering mushroom? And that when people consumed that mushroom, they had heavenly experiences, that big high, and called it the Jesus mushroom. I remember reading many books in the seventies when I was trying to disprove that Christianity was real and I was still clinging to my notion that God was not real, and the Bible was not real…and I remember reading things to my satisfaction that there was no outside the Bible proof that Jesus existed. That was a downright lie. Anyone who was a historian who has researched the matter knew they were lying when they were said there were no other extraordinary resources about Jesus.

There was a Roman historian named Tacticus. He wrote in about 115AD, so we are talking about 1900 years ago he was writing, and they are well known by the way and well-studied. People who were honest had to admit he wrote this, “They (Christians) got their name from Christ who was executed by a sentence by Pontius pilot in the reign of Tiberius that checked the pernicious superstition for a short time but broke out a fresh not only in Judeah but Rome itself where all the horrible and shameful things in the world were collected to be found at home”.

610 1828 He is not a very pro Christian type of a guy, and he is saying that the Christianity and that religion is one of superstition and one of terrible bloodshed which it was not, and evil in its origins but he gave within sixty years of Christ’s death he was talking about Christ and Christians. Thiis is a Roman historian who probably never read one passage of the Old Testament, the scripture of the day.

The mention of Jesus can also be found in Rabbinical sources by the way. In the Teaneck period about 70 to 200 AD. So, 70 AD is when the temple was destroyed which Jesus some had predicted. This is what is said about Jesus Christ…”Jesus was hanged on Passover eve…” sounds like the Bible, “forty days previously the herald had cried out that he is being led out for a stoning because he was practicing sorcery and had led Israel away and enticed them to apostacy. Anyone has anything to say in his defense come and declare it as nothing was brought forward in his defense. he was hanged on Passover eve”. Interesting words. This was probably written in 100 AD, 70 years after Jesus died. The Apostle John may have been alive at the time of this being written. obviously the second-generation Christians were still alive, many of whom had witnessed the death of Jesus Christ and have read this themselves from a Jewish Rabbi who was writing about Christ. The idea that Christ wasn’t known outside this little band of Christianity is a lie. I was shocked when I first read it.

There is something else this guy said that I think is very interesting. He did not use the word crucify. did you notice that? He said, “Jesus was hanged on Passover Eve”. What does that imply? Well, we know from the Bible and from Roman historians like Josephus for example who was a Jew and who also mentioned the existence of Jesus and Christians in general…he was not pro Christian in any sort of way, but we know from Josephus that crucifixion was the way Romans killed people. Now we come to the position of how Jesus was crucified. The general belief and what you see on people’s necks are the cross…and say that Jesus was crucified, nailing his hands and his feet to a cross bar type apparatus. Some think it is the cross…but the Greek word that is interpreted CROSS in the Bible is “tree” or “stake”. Some interpretations in the New Testament it is said that Jesus was hung from a tree or crucified from a tree. There is a very good argument that can be made, and this is a side note, I think you should be aware of everything before you make a decision, but that Christ was not hung or crucified on a Christian cross which actually dates back to pagan Egypt, the cross, called an Unk. But that He was crucified with His hands over His head, nailed to one stake. Think of it like this, a railroad tie or like a telephone pole, planted in the ground that stayed there for executions and you would put someone up there, nail his hands and then you would nail his feet and under his feet there was a small platform to hold himself up until he died…then as he got worn out, he would let himself down more and more that caused the heart not to get blood, a heart attack would kill the person.

Contrary to what scriptures say, the average crucifixtion took dayy before the person would actually die. That is why you rea din the scriptures about Christ’s crucifixtion that the soldiers started a practice at least in Jerusalem where they started breaking the legs of the prisoners so they could not hold themsleves up in agony for that long. It was almost an act of mercy although it must have been excruciating to have your kneecaps broken…the pain must have been horrible. But because Old Testament scipture says that not a bone would be broken on the Messiah, that is why the Passover Lamb had to be cooked whole. There was not a bone allowed to be broken of the lamb which symbolized Christ which is why we are to celebrate Passover and not easter. But it was the Christ was not to have a broken bone so when Christ was on the cross for a few hours, the soldiers decided since evening time was coming hey were going to break the legs of the two supposedly aside of Jesus…but they found Jesus already dead so they did not break His legs, which is fulfillment of prophesy.

Some of these archeological finds which most people have been led to believe never occurred…the Catholic church teaches wrongly so that Mary remained a virgin her entire life and that she never had any other children as she is called the Blessed Mary remaining a perpetual virgin, and that Jesus was her only child. The Bible did you know is clear that Jesus had other brothers and sisters and His brothers are actually named. One of the apostles even after the death of Christ named James, was Jesus’ half-brother. I say half because his father was not God the Father…or the Godhead. Jesus did have brothesr and sisters. That is like something to have the catholic church absolutely says is not hte case. But there is proof again that Jesus not only had brothesr and sisters but Mary did not remain a virgin her whole li fe. The idea of it is proposterous.

In recent discoveries they find some graveyards, when people died back then they would put them in a cave, anoint your body with spices and oils, leaving you in that cave in a shrouding until you decayed over a matter of time and probably a year or so later, you became nothing but bones. Then they would go into the cave because the family cemetery was a cave and see all of the bones and flesh was gone…they would at the time have a stone box that they called an ossuary and is probably about a foot and a half long and maybe a foot wide, and maybe a foot high. It had to be long enough to harbor the longest bone, which is the bone in your leg, to fit into the box without breaking it. So, they would take that stone box with a cover and take the bones and carefully place them into that box and then they would bury that box back into the tomb with all the other relatives. so, when the next person died, they would lay him out on the same slab for another year or so until he became bones, and they would put him in a box and put that box away…this is the family cemetery. It is kind of neat how this worked. That is why it was important when you saw that Jesus was the very first person to lay on that slab, as it was a Richman’s tomb that was never used. It was probably Joseph of Aramayos’ tomb for himself. He was still alive and carved it out of the rock, or his people did, for himself and when Jesus died, he let Jesus use that tomb before him. That is the tomb where Jesus laid down. Later on, was that tomb used for Joseph, and his family? we do not know. But that is why you hear of the story of him being layed out with spices and cloth around him and then the bones are put in a box. But here is a strange thing…the boxes, two important people were found in the last fifty years. The first one everyone didn’t believe why he didn’t exist, that is Kia phis the High Priest. He was considered a figment of Christians imaginations. The experts could not find what they though were any reference as Kia phis as a high priest ever. Unfortunately, archeology often disproves what historians and theologians want to teach you. Case in point, two ossuaries were found din the last two years that threw the world of theology into a tailspin.

Caiaphas’ ossuary was found, and it says on it, Caiaphas high priest of the Jewish people about the time of Jesus’ crucifixion and death. Then the other ossuary found that is even more troublesome for many people who do not want to believe in either that Jesus had brothers and sister or that Jesus even existed.

This all still is being fought over. The truth of the matter is that most people do not want to believe what is in the Bible. They find an ossuary with the name of James on it, too. Not just James…who was a ordinary name…we know James the just as he is called was an early leader of the Jerusalem church and he was Jesus’ half-brother, his mother also was Mary, and he died approximately 69 AD right before the destruction of the temple…he is described in the gospel of both Matthew and Mark as the brother of Jesus who was called The Christ. Hmmm. So, they unearth on the Temple Mount of all places in the bottom area, an ossuary by a person named James. It is limestone that held bones. When you have one of these really ornately carved limestone boxes it usually means that a very important person was in there. This is what this box had inscribed on it dating from the time of the first century AD, “James, son of Joseph, brother of Jesus”. Jesus was not “Jesus”, that is a Greek rendition of the word Joshua in Hebrew.

I am not sure what the Hebrew word for James is, but it would really read with Ben in it, which means OF, so, James Ben Josef Ben Jeshua. These names cause all sorts of descension in the real world, the names of Jesus…but He did exist and did have a brother named James, and Mary was not a perpetual virgin

Two subjects really quick to end…

Believe it or not, under King Ahab and Jezebel, that is only found in the Bible or so they say, and most people believe that Jez was an allegory of an evil woman. A 3000-year-old seal was discovered and guess what, it had Queen Jezebel etched on it. The Queen of Israel. Also, Isaiah, they say he did not exist and that the book of Isaiah was written after the facts which makes the prophecies come true by Jewish people in captivity, they wrote the book of Isaiah, lying though saying that it was written 300 years earlier and that is why the predictions came true, they actually made them to come true because it has already happened. What did they find in exploring the area of Jerusalem? Works of Isaiah with his name, from the time frame that Isaiah claimed to have lived. The last two things I mentioned I think were really importan.t Wait, one more thing.

Another person they said that did not exist was Goliath. He was a mammoth of a man, 7-9 feet tall, which we do have today by the way….and they have found bones of people and they seemed to be by the bone structure as tall as 11 feet! Just pointing that out.

If you were the average Israelite of the day maybe standing at 5 eight, then you stand next to a man about 9 feet tall, they would seem so very towering over you like a basketball player. But they said that Goliath never existed but what did they do? They found an inscription in a town where Goliath came from, using his actual name as a fierce warrior from that time frame, a 3500-year-old document.

So, again, we find these things all the time where the Bible always proves itself to be accurate..

Mainstream Christians who don’t really want to follow the Bible as the Word of God, get upset when that happens.
That is the story for today, the Bible is history because the Bible IS history. Because teh Bible is accurage. The Bible was written not counting interpretation errors, but what it says is true and it will happen. What it says happened in the past, happened. You can take i tto the bank, we are liars, but Bob is not.
