The Fallacy of AI Smart Phones and Big Brother (Transcript)

The Plain Truth is so Happy That You Have Been Enjoying Bob’s Broadcasts.

The Myth of Artificial Intelligence comes at a time when it is intellectually fashionable to denigrate the human capacity for creativity and knowledge creation. We are continually reminded that we are biased, irrational, prone to misinformation, stubborn, and unreasonable. Bob Barney exposes the fallacy of so-called “smart phones” and AI.

THE AGE OF AI

Hi, this is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today Broadcast, and you probably know who you are.

Do you have a problem with today’s computer age and dealing with online companies or the government, your doctor’s office and you must go through a series of pushing buttons, getting a robot who answers your question when you call your bank, when all you are talking to is a machine a lot of the time? Sometimes talking to a woman named Erica, but she really isn’t a real person, and she doesn’t understand a lot of things you are asking about. You must keep answering questions and you wind up saying, “CUSTOMER SERVICE” for every response when you are fed up with not getting anywhere.  Do you go through that because I do all day long as a businessman. I used to be able to do it in three hours a day now takes 5 hours a day to get to talk to somebody who can actually solve a problem; machines don’t solve problems. You hear from companies that this is better for you, and it is going to save you money but how is that possible when you spend two- or three-hours making phone calls trying to get somewhere when if you could talk to a human, it would take 5 minutes to solve your issue.

This is common and people are dealing with this with so many entities and trying to get through this artificial intelligence. It shouldn’t even be called this; it should be called artificial stupidity. They make you feel like you are a stupid idiot! You cannot get a straight answer, or anything done properly. You are talking to a machine that is not programmed to understand what you really need. You need a real person.

This gets me to this idea, and you see this a lot with conspiracy theorist people, I always say i am not one of them, but I do believe there are conspiracies, but you get these people that are so afraid of big brother…I have a section on the plain truth by the say called BIG BROTHER and there are no two ways about it. The government today especially under this administration is trying to turn this country from a democratic republic to a dictatorship to where there is a police state, the gestapo for Biden is just the FBI. The FBI goes and does Bidens business for him and if you talk against him then you find yourself investigated or worse, thrown in jail for showing up in Washington DC on January 6. Even people who said they were going but didn’t show up, this is happening too. But here is the biggest problem I have with the government knowing about your business. It isn’t that they aren’t really going to know about your business, but that they are collecting SO MUCH information on you that what they are collecting is worthless. Do you realize this?

I have an iPhone, and everyone says which is true, the iPhone never really shuts off, they always know where you are at. You have this thing turned off, but it is tracking you.  You have a conversation about a certain product and that product shows up in an ad. That came from your iPhone or so you think, and it probably did. But then, how smart is it really, this AI stuff. I have a brand-new iPhone in fact, and I go to Home Depot app and I want to look up a particular item for my house and then it says that I live in Chicago, which I do not, it defaults to that though whilst I live in Virginia. How does it make this mistake if it is tracking me so darn well. Maybe the problem is that it is confused from over tracking us. AI constantly gets confused. This is how people can end up on terror watch lists that have never done anything wrong in their life! Some do wind up on that list as an enemy of this administration, but many end up on these watch lists by pure mistakes of AI. It is artificial stupidity as I said earlier. There is so much info on you and me that it gets confusing. Every time you go to the grocery store and use your credit card, it knows everything that you bought, that store is recording that you bought a lot of steak, red meat especially and high fat items…even that rewards program there that you think is great. It tracks everything that you buy while giving you a discount, but you don’t realize they are selling that same information to your health insurance company. They now know what you are doing and what you are eating and are getting ready to deem you having an unhealthy lifestyle. Then your health insurance costs go up. This is a problem. Especially when it makes mistakes.

You may be a vegetarian and you may not eat any meat but if you go to the grocery store and buy meat for your neighbor who you are helping out, and he gave you a list with scotch on it and red meat and whole milk and eggs, cottage cheese…well it is going on your record so your insurance company doesn’t know you are a vegetarian and think you are a heart attack waiting to happen. When they are recording everything, you do and buy and say and in general show your lifestyle through all of this, because of this artificial stupidity of these machines, they really have no idea of what is going on in your life and assume what is going on in your life.

All the sudden, you are paying for things in a higher premium with health, auto insurance…you don’t even realize this is going on!

It is pretty scary.

The last thing we need to have is a government who thinks they are smarter then you are. They have thought about this already and look at the results! The government is probably run by the most unintelligent people on earth, especially the American government. If you work for our government, you most likely are totally uninformed of how the average American lives. You are living in the lifestyle that is based on what DC thinks the average American should do. If you have a higher standard of living and make a lot of money, you have no effort to have customer satisfaction because your customer is your enemy and you don’t need to do anything for them, you can make or break them, they are really their servant, not your customer. You are some bureaucrats deciding life or death on people based on your prejudices and there is nothing stopping you. This is a problem when your info gets in the hands of a few people and they decide your faith. America has turned over all its information, secrets, ideas, etc. And it is being turned around against us. I am not personally worried about Big Brother knowing too much about me, knowing what I do, I am more worried about them making mistakes based on erroneous artificial intelligence machinery that tells the government I am doing things that I am in fact, NOT.

If you send 250 dollars to the NRA, the credit card assumes you own a gun; maybe you don’t. A lot of people support them that don’t even have a gun. The credit card company makes assumptions.

We ran a story on The plaint truth last week about how health insurance companies without a warrant are giving the FBI everything about your personal health. If the FBI starts to investigate you, they go to your health insurance company, say Anthem, Optima, etc., without a court order, they hand over your records. Your blood pressure, your medications you are on, your lab reports, etc. It is so funny, your wife cannot find out anything about you because of the HIPPA laws without your consent, but the government can know any medication you are on, what your blood pressure is, and no one must have a warrant? That is what bothers me.

What bothers me is this information that the government is getting on us that really is in the hands of bureaucrats that will abuse that right and often so based on erroneous assumptions that AI is providing for them.

When they read a report that is generated by a computer, printed out, they read it and believe it is 100% accurate because computers never make mistakes, right? How many times do you get on the phone with some company you are dealing with, and they charge the wrong amount on your credit cards, try and rectify that someday. IF you are a businessman and you are running literally 100-200 transactions a week on credit cards, and if your bigger business is employed with credit cards you may be doing 1000 transactions a week on credit card, and if one is wrong, just try and get that rectified in a reasonable amount of time. You will find that you cannot.  You will find it is a 3-hour mission to get to the right person and if it is most companies today you are talking to someone in India who cannot even speak the dang language. Both parties cannot understand each other. You ask for their superior and you get another person from India and there is a language barrier again. Then you ask for someone who speaks English as a first language, an American, and they hang up on you and you get nowhere. You have no recourse whatsoever. You still have an error on your credit card. There are very few out there that are American that you can still talk to, like me for example I like to think I can help solve my clients’ issues.

But there are all types of bogus intelligence. That is really disinformation. Stupidity. It is also just mind boggling and makes you frustrated and mad that you spent all day long accomplishing nothing and what really needs to get done doesn’t get done by the end of the day. Then you take your work home with you and your problems home with you from work and we wonder why our blood pressure goes up. Maybe it is this modern age that is not that modern at all; really, it is regressive. Treating us like we are a number. Treating us like you are a digit. Treating us with no respect. Machines do not respect us. Most of the bureaucrats don’t respect you as well if you get them and that is where we find ourselves today. If this continues and do not get back to some old-fashioned common-sense solutions having real people handle things instead of machines doing everything for us, then we need to watch some of these old Twilight Zone movies form the 50s and 60s. New Years Day is coming up and they are most likely going to have the Twilight Zone episodes on in marathon form. They predicted what the world would be like run by computers and dictators and when liberties were lost…when books have been burned and people cannot express their ideas anymore without running in to the state. There are numerous good Twilight Zone shows that go over all of this and I highly recommend you watch them. You will see how 60 years ago how they understood the future, at least the immediate future of the next 50 years and what was going to happen with robots and machinery taking the place of people…taking the heart out of government and business…taking the spirit out of being a real person. That is what is going on today.

So, I really do wish we could take a breath. That we could go back and start repositioning ourselves and understanding that we need to stop and smell the roses sometimes. To treat customers like they are worth something and not just a nuisance to deal with. Hopefully this will happen, but I am a bit pessimistic that it isn’t going to happen in my lifetime. You will notice a big difference when that big EMP, Electric Magnetic Pulse from the sun or a nuclear bomb and all of your cell phone and cars are dead, your electric grid falls down and the grocery stores are shut down. No electricity. And more. Then you are going to understand what this modern world has brought you because it IS going to bring you death and destruction.

This is Bob Barney, saying goodbye.
