Hi, this is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today brought to you by theplaintruth.com, the one source you can go to each and every day to find out what’s going on and what it means to you and your family and what your future may hold. And we can get this because the Bible, God’s newscasting headlines of tomorrow, gives you an idea, certain stories, what it means. What we’re going to talk about today is a biblical type concept that’s going to affect your life or could affect your life if it occurs is how close are we to a nuclear war? And with all the things going on in Ukraine and Russia and Donald Trump trying to make a peace treaty between the two, a ceasefire, and the possibility that North Korea is going to do something to South Korea because they are now a nuclear power.

2:13 No one has been able to stop them from being a nuclear power. We’re probably just a little year or two away from Iran having a nuclear bomb or two or three and what kind of problems that could cause them. And then, of course, we have the problem with China trying to take back Taiwan,which they claim is theirs.

And so you have some hot spots all over the world that a nuclear exchange could take place. Now, would it be a world war type exchange, a limited type nuclear exchange? Well, that’s a question.There are other places in the world, by the way, that have nuclear bombs that are facing each other.

India, Pakistan, for example. These two people go to war all the time. There is actually a place where the two countries meet on a road and on both sides there’s armies ready to go to war.

And they both have nuclear bombs and they both claim they may use them on each other if somebody else crosses an imaginary line. So I’m going to, first of all, read you a part from the Bible, probably the greatest prophecy in the entire Bible given by Jesus Christ. Red letter, if it’s red letter Bible that you have, like the plain truth red letter Bible.

4:01 Jesus is speaking and it’s Matthew 24. You can also find it in Mark 13 1 and I believe Luke 21. And it is the Jesus predicting the destruction of the temple, number one, and number two, the end of the world or the end of the age is the right translation.

Chapter 24. And I’m going to read out of the New King James version this time and not the plain truth Bible. Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple and the disciples came to show him the buildings.

And Jesus said to them, do you not see all of these things? Verily I say unto you, not one stone shall be left here upon another that shall not be thrown down. Now, as he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, you know, that’s privately saying, tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of your coming? And the end of the age, right translation. And Jesus answered and said to them, take heed that no one deceives you, for there will come in my name saying, or many will come in my name saying, I am the Christ and will deceive many.

People don’t understand what he meant here. It’s false Christianity he’s talking about. Not someone claiming to be Christ, but claiming Christ is Christ, but still be a false Christian denomination that’s going to fool the whole world.

So he said, watch out for false Christianity. The second thing he said is that you will hear wars and rumors of wars. See that you’re not troubled for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

5:56 And we’ve had, since he said this, many wars and many rumors of wars. And by God, we got wars and rumors of wars right now going on. Be it Russia, Ukraine, China, Taiwan, North Korea, South Korea, Pakistan, India, and a host of other probably little places I’m not even aware of.

For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines, pestilence, and earthquakes in various places. All these things are the beginning of sorrows. So this stuff has happened for the last 2000 years since Jesus said so.

And it does not mean the world is coming to the end of the age yet. These are just the beginnings of the sorrows. Now notice the order he’s giving this.

He’s given it in the same exact order he gave to the Apostle John in the book of Revelation, the revelation of Jesus Christ to John the disciple. When he gave the four horsemen prophecy in Revelation, he goes false Christianity, wars and rumors and wars, pestilence, famines and plagues, and in fourth is death. Then we go on and he goes, then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for my sakes.

6:59 All nations mean exactly that, all nations. The people of the United States is going to hate any real Christian. The people of Europe is going to hate any real Christian, as well as the Arabs, the Jews, the Russians, the Chinese, you name it, the Indians, and the Africans.

And that is a first letter, red letter from Jesus Christ himself, first person I should have said, and true Christianity is going to be hated. I’m not talking about false Christianity. I’m not talking about the Christmas keeping, Easter keeping, false Christianity that probably 90% of all Christians belong to.

We’re talking about the real Christianity as founded by Jesus Christ. And then there will be, and many will be offended and betray one another and hate one another, and many false prophets will rise and deceive many, and because lawlessness will abound. What is lawlessness? Well, there’s one definition in the Bible of what lawlessness is.

Lawlessness is a refusing to obey the 10 commandments, the law of God. There’s only one definition of sin in the Bible, and that is 1 John 3, and it says, sin is the transgression of the law, or sin is breaking God’s law. That’s the only definition of sin.

If you’re a sinner, it means you’re breaking the law. No, unlike what your churches and pastors want to teach you, the law has not been abolished by Christ on the cross. Lawlessness will abound, and the love of many will grow cold, and I find this even in myself.

You see people in certain circumstances, and honestly, you say to yourself, they deserve what’s happening to them. Well, I got news for you. That’s not a Christian attitude.

8:00 It’s a human attitude. It’s probably the right human attitude, but it’s not a Christ-centered attitude.We should feel sorry for all of these people that bring destruction upon their own heads, because they don’t know what they’re doing.

Many times people do know what they’re doing, but many times they do not know what they’re doing, but the idea that the love of many will grow cold means that people will stop having sympathy for people that are suffering, and that is people who are suffering through no cause of their own, as well as people are suffering because of their own sins, but there are many people. I just want to say this before I continue here. There are many people who are suffering from no sin of their own.

They just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, or they’re in between the rich and the very poor, and they’re in the middle, and they’re being crushed by both sides. I remember a long time ago when I was going to move to Florida in 1980, my cousin told me, Bob, you got to be careful. You come from a little town in Connecticut.

You better be careful when you come to South Florida, because there’s two types of people in South Florida, those with a lot of money, and those that have no money out to steal those from a lot of money, and if you fall in between the two, both sides will kill you, and he was serious, by the way, but he that endures shall be saved, and this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come. Then he goes on. He filters this even down further.

9:47 Therefore, when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place, and in parentheses to Scott, whoever reads, let them understand. This was an editor’s note, not Jesus saying that. Then let those who are in the Judean plains flee to the mountains.

Let those who are in the house stops or are those on the house stops not go down and take anything out of the house, and let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes, but woe to those who are pregnant and those who are nursing babies in those days. Now, why does he say that? Because one of the big problems with nuclear radiation, we saw this with Three Mile and with Chernobyl, is that it affects specifically many people, many organs, many types of things, but specifically it affects pregnant and nursing women. Radiation in the milk being fed to a baby is almost like a death penalty, and that’s Christ, of course, knows all about nuclear radiation, even then, because he’s God, he’s God in the flesh, and he knows what’s gonna happen in the future.

So he goes on to say, woe to those who are pregnant and those who are nursing babies in those days. And this next line is a line that I think most Christians today just wanna skip over because it says something they don’t wanna hear. And pray that your flight may not be in the winter or on the Sabbath.

What’s he doing talking about the Sabbath to his people who no longer are gonna follow the Sabbath because now Sunday is the Sabbath day and not Saturday? Well, I can prove to you in the Bible, everywhere through the Bible, Sunday is never the day of the Lord. Saturday is the day of the Lord. The first church under Jesus Christ that followed him, his disciples, the apostles, the apostle Paul, the early church in the first century AD, second century AD, all the way up to the third century AD, only followed the Saturday Sabbath.

10:44 But then there’s some good news here. And he goes on to say, for then there will be great tribulation, such as not since the beginning of those days until now. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved and in parentheses alive.

But for the elect’s sake, and that’s what a Christian is, a true Christian is the elect of God, for the elect’s sake, those days will be shortened. And then he goes on and given other warnings about false Christianity and false prophets. But we’re getting back to the topic.

I just wanted to read that because Christ knew all about a nuclear war that is someday coming to this world. You can plan on it right now. It may not be in your lifetime.

It may not be in your children’s lifetime, but there is going to be a nuclear world war right before the great tribulation that is gonna destroy some three quarters of the population of this earth.You’re talking about five, six, seven billion people being killed in a matter of a little while with nuclear radiation, nuclear war, pestilence and famine that follows, radiation poisoning and pollution of our seas and waterways from the war. And it’s gonna kill some people which read prophecy and say 90% of the earth is gonna die during the great tribulation period, which we’re looking at seven billion people.

And that’s probably gonna infect, if you’re alive, it’s gonna affect you. You may be that nine out of the 10. You may not be the one out of the 10.

And especially if you are following a false Christianity. So what is the chances of us going to war right now? You can understand why, and I understand why Donald Trump was so mad at President Zelensky of Ukraine, dithering around with a peace treaty that Donald Trump was trying to put together. And the plain truth of the matter is that no leader before Donald Trump had any answer to the Ukraine-Russian war.

12:12 Just more and more killing, more and more bombing, more and more innocent lives being murdered by bombs and by soldiers shooting them and soldiers themselves dying. And that Donald Trump had an idea that if we could get the mineral rights of Ukraine and we would send our companies over there and our advisors over there to get those rare earth minerals out of the ground, that that would show Russia that they cannot have Ukraine for themselves because now it is a partner of the United States in a business venture. And that was his plan.

Now he admitted, I will give him full credit here, Donald Trump admitted that he could not guarantee this was gonna happen because of the fact Putin really has no real reason to wanna end the war. People think he does and he may want to, but the truth is he’s winning this war and if it goes on the way Europe and America was allowing it to go on, eventually Russia would have beat and killed all the Ukrainians that were resisted him and he would have Ukraine as part of his empire that he’s trying to rebuild from the past and then he would turn his sights after he was able to gain more weapons again and rebuild his armory that he would go after another neighboring country like Finland or a place like that. So Donald Trump knew he was negotiatingout of a place of weakness, but he did think that if he really had a deal with Ukraine and they agreed to a ceasefire that Russia, because Putin has to look good in the world stage, he wants to look good, he don’t have to, but he wants to look good, he wants everybody to think that he’s a nice guy even though he’s not and so Trump’s playing the card that Putin will sign a ceasefire, we’ll see and I hope that is the case.

14:34 We’ll be right back to the regular program in a second. So we are talking about the potential of a nuclear war. You notice I didn’t say a World War III because it’s possible you could have a nuclear war and I believe there is one coming in our immediate future but it doesn’t necessarily have to be a nuclear world war.

You could have a small skirmish between, let’s say for example, Ukraine and Russia. It’s possible that Russia ends up sending a small nuke down into Ukraine. Ukraine doesn’t have any nukes so they can’t send one back.

It is possible that North Korea could send a nuke somewhere just to show their power. The man’s a man, man. So it’s very possible and that necessarily would not cause a world war.

There could be, like I said earlier in the broadcast, a war between India and Pakistan that would not bring in the rest of the world. So the next nuclear war may or may not be a nuclear World War III or World War IV or whatever world war we’re up to when the end of the age that Jesus Christ talks about in Matthew 24 finally comes to fruition. However, I want to go into now the idea that what Jesus says in Matthew 24 is going to occur.

I don’t know when. I don’t have a direct connection with God. I don’t have breakfast with God every morning like other people do.

16:03 I read the Bible and I read the news and that’s the whole idea of The Plain Truth Today and ThePlainTruth.com. We try to take the news and we try to interpret it with the Bible. Now much of the news, I would say 99% of today’s news has nothing to do with God in the Bible. And so we may have it on the message board or we may even have it on The Plain Truth main page as just a news story, something that would interest our readers but it doesn’t necessarily mean we’re going to try to compare that to anything found in the Bible or what your future is.

But for the most part, we do try to hone in on that news story that is obviously alluded to in the Bible and that comes to nuclear war is one of the big ones or famine and impestilence or the rebuilding of a temple. For example, we know that a temple is going to be built on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem long before Christ enters the scene again, returning to earth to save us from ourselves. There is going to be another temple and without one, Christ is not going to return.

And the abomination that causes desolation as we read in Matthew 24 that Jesus mentions as spoken by the prophet Daniel. Well, back in the day, Daniel predicted an abomination of desolation that already occurred when pig’s blood was sacrificed in the temple of God when they were taken over and that was the abomination that caused the destruction of the temple. And then Christ goes on to say that a similar thing is going to happen during the tribulation.

18:04 So we know there is going to be a temple rebuilt in Jerusalem on top of the Temple Mount one way or another. It’s going to happen. You can bet your life on it’s going to happen because God says it’s going to happen.

So then that news story happens. And by the way, you may not be aware of this, but every year the temple faithful try to go to the top of the Temple Mount and lay a cornerstone for a new temple. And they’re prevented from going up there by the Israeli armed forces.

But it’s every single year. It’s almost like a joke right now. And they are right now assembling all the instruments that they need for a new temple, a new menorah.

They made a menorah. They made an altar, an incense altar. They made a altar for sacrificing.

19:00 The whole thing is being made right now by the Temple Mount faithful. And they even have the red heifers that they need to burn to purify properly for the temple to be reopened. So there is plans, even though it’s not being covered by the news, there is plans of a temple that is going to be rebuilt.

Jesus says it’s going to happen in Matthew 24, says it again in the Revelation, and also mentions it in the future prophecy in the last chapter of Daniel, when Daniel is given a vision by an angel of the last end times when the return of Christ happens. And you can read that in the 11th, I think it’s 11th, but the last chapter of the book of Daniel. And you can read for your own self in plain English that Christ is gonna return, and there is going to be a temple.

20:07And it even gives you the number of days, and that’s probably the number of years, but it could be physical days, the number of days that the temple is trampled under by the pagans or what they would call the Gentiles. So anyway, that is going to happen. You can set your mind on the fact that this is going to happen.

God is going to do everything God promises. You know, faith is, we are believing blindly here. I don’t believe in blind faith most of the time.

But once you prove that God is real, and you prove that the Bible is God’s word, then you have to have the faith to believe in the things you can’t see. When God says something is going to happen, even though sometimes it seems impossible, it’s going to happen. So all I can say for my listeners today about World War III or about nuclear exchange, there is going to be a nuclear exchange, in my opinion, in most of our lifetimes.

And that is because everybody is getting a bomb. The reason that Iran wants a bomb, contrary, and I know many conservatives and many people on the right wanna say this, and I’m one of them sometimes, but the truth of the matter is, Iran does not want a nuclear bomb to bomb Israel.That’s just, you know, sometimes that’s just a little hyperbole.

22:00 What they want a nuclear bomb for is the same reason that North Korea wanted a nuclear bomb, why Ukraine wants one back, why Japan is going to want a nuclear bomb, why Germany is going to build a nuclear bomb. Because once you go nuclear and you have an arsenal of nuclear weapons that can reach America, that can reach Europe, that can reach Russia, that can reach China, guess what? You’re gonna be left alone. Nobody’s gonna go after you and nobody’s gonna send troops in to try to destroy you.

Nobody’s gonna try to bully you because you can send nuclear weapons back their way and destroy them. And so the real reason that these third world countries want a nuclear bomb is self-preservation, self-protection, not for offensive reasons. And if Iran finally gets a nuclear bomb,well, you can bet your boots, Saudi Arabia is gonna get one, Kuwait’s gonna get one and other places are gonna get them and it’s just not stoppable.

23:21 And pretty soon we’re gonna have a proliferation of nuclear weapons everywhere and it’s gonna happen. And that does not necessarily mean the end of the age, that does not necessarily fulfill Matthew 24. It’s just that wars and rumors of wars of verse being fulfilled with all these nuclear weapons.

But because nuclear radiation will hurt women and pregnant women and nursing women,especially that we know from the pages of our Bible that Future Headlines is gonna talk aboutnursing women being affected by radiation poisoning. And you can, like I said, you can set your clocks ahead for that one because it’s gonna happen. Well, that’s about the show for today.
