The Plain Truth is so Happy That You Have Been Enjoying Bob’s Broadcasts.
2000 years ago, a newscaster that we know of as Jesus Christ warned us about false Christianity. The warning was not against the devil but against false Christianity…about people who come in His name and deceive many.

Hi, Bob Barney with the Friday wrap-up for The Plain Truth today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com, going over the big news of the week and wrapping it up for the weekend. And tomorrow, Sabbath day, we’ll get into what shows we’re going to have on, as well as some other topics. But first of all, I guess the big story of the week is the government shutdown after what, 50 days, is finally over.
President Trump yesterday signed the bill that the House did pass, and now the workers, federal workers, are going to be back at work, getting all their back pay. And the only losers in this whole war was the American people, but we’re always the losers of these wars. I’ll give you an example of losing. There is a new worrying trend foreshadowing a housing market crash.
Foreclosures, when a bank lender takes back a home after missed mortgage payments, are once again rising in America. New data from ATTOM shows that homeowners are falling behind on their mortgages amid job losses and soaring living costs. In October alone, there was 36,776 foreclosure filings, the first up in the process, when a lender warns the borrower they’re in default. And that’s going to be a problem. The economy absolutely is in terrible shape. We’ve been saying this. I think maybe one of the only places you’re hearing this, because you go to the mainstream TV, unless you’re going to go to MSNBC, which is always against the Republicans and Trump, no matter what.
But this economy is in shambles, and everything is going wrong.Look at the price of gold. It keeps going up. It’s back up to $4,200 as of today.I think we’re still going to see $5,000 gold probably before the end of December. But the United States economy is just absolutely in trouble. And the other thing in News of the Week was the headline we put up on a message board. What the F is this? Trump now is being ripped by his own mega supporters for saying there’s not enough talented people in America. Duh. When did he come to that idea? Maybe he should stop deporting the people who want to work, and maybe think about deporting the American citizens who don’t want to work, which is unconstitutional.I’m joking. But the truth is that America needs workers who want to work, and unfortunately, because of all the welfare programs.
And if you want to know what’s wrong with this country, this country has become a lazy welfare state. And if you don’t think that’s the case, all you have to look at is what politicians did to the most proudest people on the face of the earth, the American Indian, who was able to survive for centuries all by themselves without white man influence. Yes, they fought with each other, and they killed each other, and they were barbaric, and all of these things. But they were proud people. They could hunt for themselves. They could live in the worst terrain and conditions, weather conditions, and had no problem surviving until the white man put them on reservations and made them welfare drunks. And that is the same policy that our Congress and our presidents are doing to the American people. We’re turning the American people into the American Indian.
We’re making everyone dependent on big government. Donald Trump is actually as bad as any Democrat who’s ever thought about trying to socialize and cause government to control every aspect of your life. Now they’re talking about a health care system where instead of your employer, and boy, the employers love this, or the government ACA under Obamacare, they’re going to give each person money to buy their own insurance. Now I got a question for you. If they just give the people the money, they’re not going to buy the insurance.
They’re going to pocket it. I know people. I know my employees. My employees make big money, but from week to week, they’re borrowing money from me. Why? Because they can’t save money. That’s just how, that’s just the world that we’re living in.And so if you just give them extra money one week, the following week, they’re still borrowing another $50 until their paycheck comes. It’s the way the American people have been led to live by a welfare type state. And that’s what we have today. And so when we see that Donald Trump’s saying we don’t have enough talented people to do all the jobs, well, any employer like myself has known that for 25 years. And in many cases, the only people who were doing the jobs in manufacturing and farming, especially picking your crops, and in many other construction industries and other, the only people willing to work hard were the foreign illegal, in most cases, Hispanic workers that have kept American working.
And with us sending these people back instead of the criminal alien, what you’re seeing, honestly, is the destruction of American small businesses.Small businesses in America are under attack under this administration like they have not been under attack since Obama, even worse than Biden, because Obama really attacked small businesses. It was all about big business for Obama. Obamacare, all it really helped was big insurance companies, doctors, pharma, big pharma, and big hospital chains like Sinterra and people like that that own hundreds of hospitals across the country.
And they can fix everything and they can deny care, and the American people are losing their health insurance. And before long, we’re going to end up with, I tell you right now, we’re going to end up with European-style government-sponsored health care, and they’re going to decide by the cost of your treatment if you’re worth it or not. That’s what’s going on in Europe. That’s what goes on in Canada. That’s what goes on in most of the world, that the government takes over totally the insurance industry. There’s no insurance left. That’s what’s going to someday happen. And then it will be decided when you’re 80 years old and you have breast cancer or prostate cancer, well, is it really worth spending $300,000 to save somebody who’s going to live only two more years anyway, or three more years anyway, for other reasons? That’s what’s going to happen. If you’re fine with that and you want to be a lemon and die when you’re supposed to, or a worker honeybee, then that’s the society you’re going to get.And that is what your politicians are bringing you. And that’s what Donald Trump is bringing you. Donald Trump is bringing you the same thing Richard Nixon wanted to bring. The very first president that really proposed Obamacare was Richard Nixon.
And I was against it then. I was a Reagan Republican in 76, and that wasn’t very popular at the time. And I went through a Republican campaign management school at Wesleyan University. And I remember Fred Biebel, who was to become one of Ronald Reagan’s campaign managers, instructed the class, actually told me when I was against Nixoncare, which is really disguised Obamacare, he said, do you understand that your father, now he’s going to retire in another 10 years, and then he is going to cost the system more money in his healthcare than he’s ever earned in his entire life? And I said, yes, because unlike all the times in the past, our leaders today have inflated the value of gold. At the time, I knew gold was being inflated because of the deflation of our dollar. And I said, what used to be a 50 cent doctor visit is now a $500 doctor visit. And this was 1977.
That’s going to turn out to be a $10,000 hospital visit, all because of inflation. In the last 40 years, the Democrats and the Republicans, I told them this, brought us nothing but inflation, and that’s your real problem with healthcare, is inflated prices caused by government and big business at the time, and especially the 1950s, paying for everybody’s health insurance. I remember my dad had great health insurance with Nestle. We paid for nothing. So what did our dentist do? He brought us back four times to fill a cavity. That is not a lie, because he could bilk the system. And this is what was going on.Instead of smart healthcare, where you actually control your costs by controlling how many doctors. Do you know that the American Medical Association limits the amount of doctors that can graduate from American medical schools? Did you know that the American Medical Association denies the United States from importing doctors from any other country?
Do you realize if we flooded this country with doctors from all over the world, and we didn’t have a limit on how many doctors there could be, your doctor visit would be $10? It’s called supplying demand. We have never tried Reaganomics when it comes to healthcare. And if we did, we’d have very good healthcare, very inexpensive healthcare, and not government controlled healthcare. It would be that simple. Bring in a lot more doctors and restrict the price of certain drugs. That simple. It’s that simple. And you say, well, a free market, how do you the price of drugs? It’s very simple. What Donald Trump is doing correctly is, if you sell it in Europe for $100, and you’re selling it here for $1,000, you’re going to sell it here for $100, or you cannot be in this country. There is not a big pharma company that wants to pull out of this country. I’ll tell you that right now.And that’s why they’re signing these deals with Donald Trump, lowering the price, for example, of Moderna and Ozempic down to $149 a month, when it’s right now $1,600 a month. But guess what? It’s $149 a month in England, in Germany, in Italy. And it’s about $79 a month in China and Asia.
And it’s about $20 a month in Africa, and they’re still making profit at those prices. Just think about that. But that’s the simple answer to everything is true capitalism, not crony capitalism.Donald Trump has really brought us crony capitalism. I’ve said this, and I’ll say this again. If the Republicans lose next year, the election, which off-year elections they should lose, if they lose next year, they’re going to lose only on one issue and one issue alone.
And the Democrats are not the reason. If the Democrats win, they’re going to win by luck, because the Democrats are doing everything they know how to do to lose next year’s election. They’re putting one terrorist after another in office. And that’s what these Muslims are. They’re jihad terrorists that’s going to try to destroy New York City, like they have London and places like that. There is this war against America by Islam, and nobody wants to wake up and smell the roses and see it.And we have a Democratic party that probably 85% of American people do not want. So if they’re going to vote Democrat, they’re going to vote Democrat for only one reason, the economy, because the Republicans screw up this economy, which Donald Trump is doing. This is why, by the way, if you really look at what Donald Trump is doing, he’s backing off the tariffs. He’s actually talking about now a 20% tariff for China.
Now he came out with this, like we just started off the program with, he came up with this idea that we don’t have enough skilled workers in this country. Duh! I’ve been saying that for as long as I’ve been on this show, as long as I’ve been writing for the plain truth, but on these broadcasts especially, I’ve been saying that since the tariff started and since this deportation started. We are destroying this economy like a Democrat would do. And that’s really what he is. He’s playing Democrat politics thinking that it worked for the Democrats in the past and maybe it’ll work for the Republicans in his party. That’s what he’s doing. It’s just co-calculation and it’s nonsense. And it’s going to backfire on them because the truth is the American economy is in shambles and this shutdown didn’t help it.And you can blame the Democrats for the shutdown. You know, those Democrats didn’t vote for a shutdown or vote against opening up the government, but you want to know what? The Republicans loved it and the Republicans thought they were winning the battle. And all of a sudden that election happened and people leaving the polls, 46 percent of the Republicans say we’re worse off now than we were before Donald Trump was elected. And instantly there was a pivot to all of a sudden accept some kind of a deal in the Senate and the House went along with it for the Democrats. All of a sudden the Republicans are who caved. The Democrats are being told, Schumer caved.No.
What the American people see, what I see is the plain truth. The Republicans actually caved because exit polls were not very good for Republican candidates for next year. And that is why you’re seeing Marjorie Taylor Greene and you’re seeing some of these other people get involved against the Republican stand on health care. And another problem that Donald Trump’s going to have, and this broke out again this week, when the Democrats released a bunch of emails, I think three, between Jeffrey Epstein and Giselle Maxwell about Donald Trump, saying that he talked to these girls that were underage at the time and he knew all about it. And this was emails from 2009, directly disputing, by the way, what Maxwell said just a few months ago, that Donald Trump was never involved, never talked about any of this stuff.Well, the Democrats released emails. Now the Republicans said, you know, the Democrats are just causing trouble. They didn’t make up these emails, my friends. They did not make up these emails.
Those emails are there. And I have seen a Bill Clintonization of the Donald Trump presidency right now.I know many mega people, people who cannot see anything wrong with Donald Trump. And I have not talked to one who does not believe that Donald Trump is not somewhat involved in the Epstein affair. And now what you hear them say to me, you know, a year ago, it was everybody involved needed to go to prison for the rest of their life because there is no excuse of being a pedophile. And now, all of a sudden, these same people who will not say to you that Donald Trump was involved, but they will say, well, you know, everybody does it. It’s only, you know, this is what big billionaires do. It’s been done forever. They’re all of a sudden trying to justify it. Do you remember Bill Clinton with his affair with Monica Lewinsky? It’s only sex. Do you remember the Democrats coming out? Oh, it’s only sex.And then all of a sudden, all the people who liked Bill Clinton, who voted for Bill Clinton started to say, it’s only sex. It has nothing to do with anything else but that.
Well, I had a teacher. His name was Mr. Quinlan, a history teacher in the eighth grade, who always said if a politician will cheat on his wife, he will cheat on you in government quicker. And if you think that personal morality does not make a politician honest or not, you’re fooling yourself. And I have to agree with that to this day, that you watch what a politician does, and most of them are, you know, sex deviants anyway. That’s the plain truth. If you watch politicians, and if they’re not loyal to their spouses, they’re not going to be loyal to you. Even if they’re loyal to their spouses, half the time they’re not loyal to you.But there’s not too many. I think Ronald Reagan was very loyal to his spouse. I think Jimmy Carter was very loyal to his spouse.
Very terrible president. But I can’t say that about others. Probably both Bushes, although there was some reports that the first Bush had affairs. But I’m not sure of that, and I’m not going to go there. And we’re going to get on to the next subject of the week after this brief advertisement about the plain truth. Hi, Bob Barney with theplaintruth.com and The Plain Truth today, telling you this is the place to go to find out what’s happening, why it’s happening, and if God has anything to do with it.Go to theplaintruth.com every day, seven days a week, we have something new up. Thank you. Well, in a different note, the penny, the famous American U.S. dollar penny, ends production this year after 232 years of production.I saw a joke the other day, it survived George Washington, the Civil War,
World War I, World War II, it survived Korea, Vietnam, it even survived Watergate and the Great Depression of 1929, but it could not survive President Trump’s full term. It’s coming to an end at the end of 232 years. I, as a coin collector, think it’s kind of a tragedy in a way.I know it cost two cents or three cents to make a penny. They could limit the production of pennies very easily, which would drive the price up for collectors, which would be fine with me, but I just think the penny should not have come to an end. And by the way, if Donald Trump is trying to show you that there really is inflation and everything is going good, you would think he would want to keep the penny. Now everything’s got to be rounded up to a nickel, which shows you a five percent inflation, if you really want to get technical about the whole thing.
And so anyway, I just thought I would mention the penny thing this week because this will be the last year that the penny is made. And just for myself, just to let you know, I bought an entire box of pennies and they were very heavy. It’s like, seems like about 35 pounds. I bought a box of pennies minted in Philadelphia and I bought another box of unopened pennies minted in Denver, the two places they mint them, and by the end of the year, I probably will buy a few pennies that are graded by the grading companies as an ultra cameo 2025 pennies. They probably will be worth a fortune. But that’s the end of the penny. It couldn’t survive Donald Trump. And the next story I want to get to is a story we had yesterday on the Plain Truths message board.Trump’s approval rating now dips below the worst ratings Biden ever had in his entire presidency after this government shutdown. As I said in the beginning, I think you couldn’t find anybody on TV to agree with me other than the Democrats. But this shutdown completely has hurt the Republicans and Donald Trump especially because people voted for Donald Trump, including myself, thinking we were going to get the first Trump, not the second Trump, which caused all this chaos. The handling of the ACA,
I agree that something has to be done with healthcare in America. I don’t have the answers. I have some of the answers and that is a true free market, which we do not have.We have cronyism. But you just cannot let people now used to having healthcare quite inexpensively all of a sudden go up three, four, five times a month for their healthcare plans. It just is not going to be very popular. It’s not going to go over very well as well. Also in another message board story, if you’ve followed me along a little bit, you know that I am a very, I like music a lot, especially good music, music that has some kind of a meaning. And there was a study listening to music is linked to a lower risk of developing dementia.According to a new study, it was published in October.
Researchers looked at data span in a decade involving more than 10,000 healthy people age 70 years old or older in Australia. People who listen to music most days slash their risk of developing dementia by over 39% compared to those who did not listen to music regularly. The study of older persons followed these participants and investigated things that could be risk factors in developing dementia and other diseases as well. Quote from one of the senior researchers, Joanne Ryan, music was one of the areas we were interested in. And she went on to say that music seems to really be beneficial to those who are trying to prevent mental decline. And it makes sense when you sing along, if you do sing along with your music or you sing along in your head or you listen to music, it keeps your mind active. A Princeton University lab researchers have also conducted the same type of studies and they found similar things. One of the things Elizabeth Margolis said that seems to be really important is just getting all those areas to talk to each other in a meaningful way and music does that.If you’re listening to music, and I think music as medicine is very important, it is to me. When I’m happy, I like to listen to happier music.
When I’m sad, depressed, I listen to more depressing music. But it makes you think, if you’re listening, I think to good music. I think if you were to listen to to music that doesn’t make you think, I don’t know if it’s just good for you or not. I don’t know what music they studied in these studies, but I think a lot of the music that have meaning to the music, even if it’s a love songs or a protest songs or just happy songs, I think it’s very good for the mind and I think the research pointed that out.Gold has gone back up again. It has a little, this morning, a little downward trend of about a hundred bucks an ounce, but I heard a report this morning on Squackbox that they believe, this one guest on believes, that gold will hit $5,000 by the end of the year. I believe that, and $6,000 by the end of 2026, and I definitely believe that. There are others out there, including Jamie Dimon from Chase Morgan, that says that he thinks gold is every bit of $10,000 in five years, and he also said that it is not going down anytime soon. Also, other people like Peter Schiff, who we have on this program once in a while, he believes $15,000 gold per ounce is not out of the question. Bitcoin is really on a roller coaster this morning. It’s down, you know, Bitcoin is down $25,000 in about a month and a half.
Yeah, Bitcoin goes up and down, up and down, up and down. If you have money to spare and you want to risk and gamble, I think Bitcoin is okay to follow, but for the most part, I think Bitcoin is not for most people to invest in because eventually, in my opinion, take this with a grain of salt, but in my opinion, I think Bitcoin is a risky business and it’s going to eventually go away. That’s just my idea, and that’s it for the Friday wrap-up. I hope everyone has a very blessed Sabbath day tomorrow, if you’re following it. I hope everybody does follow it.I hope everybody has a safe weekend anyway, no matter what, and tomorrow we’re going to have a Sabbath show, 7-11 a.m., by me. It’s actually a Best of Bob show. It’s one from before, and it’s called Old Testament Fables, Archaeology and the Bible.I think one of the things that most people simply fall into the trap is they listen to too many so-called experts on TV or in magazines that they read, and they think most of the Old Testament of the Bible are unproven fables, stories that never existed, and there is no evidence that they ever did exist, and when you listen to the show that I have tomorrow morning, you’re going to see quite well that not only does archaeology really prove most of the Bible that for hundreds of years people thought were made-up stories, and you’re going to see, for example, I’ll give you one little hint.
All the way up until the 1950s, 60s and 70s, people did not believe, experts, scholars, theologians did not believe that Abraham ever lived. They thought he was a fable, and then they discovered what is called the Ebla tablets, and the Ebla tablets were tens of thousands of cuneiform tablets that were written about the time Abraham lived in Ur of the Chaldean region about 2200 BC, and guess what? They mentioned Abraham by the name Abram, by name they found Abram, they found the word Yah, which many people, Yah is what Jesus’s name really is, Yahweh, that is Yah, as you see a lot as the Lord in the Old Testament, it’s his personal name, and Yah is a term that most scholars believe did not happen until way after Moses, they didn’t have the idea of Yehovah, Yahweh, however you want to pronounce it, they did not believe that that came into the human mind until about 300 years before Christ, and here 2,000 years before that, they find in the cuneiform tablets the word Yah, and also they find mentioned to Sodom and Gomorrah, and it’s so funny because that too was thought to be a fable, and the Ebla tablets just absolutely changed what people think about archaeology and the truth of the Bible, and many Bible scholars since that discovery, even though they don’t get much playtime, now believes that most of the stories in the Bible are actually very well scientifically and historically accurate, so that is the tomorrow morning’s show, 7 11 a.m. for the Sabbath day, tomorrow night we’re going back to old time radio again, 7 11 p.m., and it’s an old time radio classic, it was a series back in the 1940s called The Whistler, and The Whistler is the guy who narrates the story, and unlike other mysteries, you know who the murderer is usually right from the beginning, and then he is talking as he’s into the mind of the murderer, and the murderer is always making a mistake or two, which ends up by the end of the show, it’s going to be about a half hour, by the end of the show being exposed what they are, and so you see this elaborate plot to kill somebody for money, for greed, for love, for whatever, in these Whistler shows, and then you follow them in their mind, the narrator is reading the mind of the perpetrator, and you follow along as they realize they left this mistake behind, this clue behind, and they go to try to solve that or try to disguise it, and eventually by the end you see the final mistake they make, and guess what, they get caught, so that’s tomorrow night at 7 11 p.m., Old Time Radio Classics, The Whistler, The Waterford Case, Old Time Radio Mystery, The Waterford Case is the actual show, The Whistler is the series, and it’s tomorrow night at 7 11 p.m.
I want to finish off by saying that the Sunday show has not been picked yet, I usually now try to wait until Saturday, I try to find a show that could really wrap up Sunday in the whole week as well, we’ll find something, but you’ll see it, we come back again Monday, Monday morning we’ll have a show at 7 11 a.m., I’ll have a show at noontime, and at 7 11 p.m. we’ll have probably another show, well not probably, we always do, we have shows Monday through Friday from 7 11 a.m. noontime and 7 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, of course Saturday we have the morning 7 11 a.m. and 7 11 p.m. entertainment show, and then Sunday we only as presently have one show, it’s usually about a half hour to sometimes two hours long at 7 11 a.m., and of course all of these shows you can go to the podcast from theplaintruth.com, and you can go back as many, and you can listen to these shows at any time, anywhere, if you have it where you can listen to it in your car, I listen to my own shows just to see how good I did driving to work in the morning, it only takes me 15 minutes, so most shows I can’t finish, might take me two days, but anyway, you can listen to these shows anytime in the past, you can look up a certain subject, put it in the search engine, and find it, that’s theplaintruth.com is where you find it, theplaintruthtoday.com also brings you to this site, I think right now theplaintruthtoday.com is not bringing anywhere because we had to park it, but it’s going to soon go right directly to the podcast, this is Bob Barney, and I do wish that everyone has a blessed and safe weekend, we will catch you back here Monday, and with new shows, and we hope you come back to listen to us, and that you tell your friends about us, and hopefully they tell their friends about us, and I think we have a pretty good show here, we try to give different points of view, I think we cover topics that no other place on the web, or on radio, or television covers, we cover many, many topics, but the most important thing that we cover is really God’s hand behind the news, behind today’s news, God has his hands on it, and we try to show you when that occurs..
Until Monday, Bob Barney for the Plain Truth Today, saying have a great weekend, bye-bye.
