How many of us were aware of the fact that we voted for a Republican president and we got Bernie Sanders?

Hi, Bob Barney with The Plain Truth today, and we’re going to talk about, I’m from the government, I’m here to help, and I’m here to buy out all businesses, and pretty soon we can become a good communist nation again.

Let’s make America a communist nation for the first time.

I think I am surprised to say the least that Donald Trump is getting away with the crap that he’s getting away with personally.

The idea, now he’s taking stake in Intel, now they’re talking about buying into military defense contractors, talk about a conflict of interest, and talk about absolutely destroying the private enterprise in America. We’re talking about it right now. This is something that I thought you would have expected from a Bernie Sanders, I don’t think you would have expected it from a Republican, or even Donald Trump.

The idea that government is going to start taking stakes in private businesses is just mind-boggling, and let me give you some reasons why, just in case you’re one of those people out here who think that everything Donald Trump does is great, oh this is fantastic, he’s going to take over a chip business, we’re going to get it back from China, he’s going to take over the defense industry, it’s going to make us safer, he’s going to take over the mining industry, it’s going to make us cleaner and better. If you believe that, I have a Brooklyn Bridge to sell you. Here is some problems, and I thought most Americans knew this from the Reagan years, but here are some problems that we have with the philosophy of government ownership of business, and before I get into that, I would like to give a small history lesson.

I think I have already done this, you know, I have a show this morning that was, are we, what was the name of it, I’m sorry, are we looking like a police state? Well, this probably is going to go with that show as well, because we are looking like a police state, and we are looking like a communist dictator trying to be. Now, that’s not going to happen, and Donald Trump’s not going to be successful at what he’s doing, but he’s going to do a lot of harm in the short run, and he’s going to destroy the Republican Party in the long run. I’ve had said to me in the past, Donald Trump was the best plant the Democrats ever put in the Republican Party, didn’t believe it the first time around, because, you know, the first presidency of Donald Trump, he did a good job, but I guess it was more of his advisors.

There could be something else, before I get into this history lesson, if you read British and European newspapers, or online newspapers, you get a, you get a perspective of Donald Trump you’re not hearing from the American press, because the American press are intimidated with Donald Trump threatening to sue them, maybe threatening to take him over and privatize it, I mean, so he can have his own Pravda type news. He’s already got it, it’s called Fox news, but here’s a history lesson that I think it should be understood. One of the biggest communist type presidents, socialist presidents we ever had in the history of this country, I know people are going to say Barack Obama, Joe Biden, well, Joe Biden was a president, he was just there in body, somebody else was doing the auto pen, but Franklin Delano Roosevelt absolutely fell in love with socialism.

He was not a person who believed in the republic form of government that he had been saddled with, and like Donald Trump, he tried everything he could do to stack the Supreme Court, to stack the Fed, to do everything he could do to make his will push through Congress, push through the Supreme Court, push through state courts, and he tried to nationalize everything, tried to put every American to work, working for projects and stuff like that, and some things he did was probably good for the depression. Most experts today that are credible experts will tell you that the Great Depression was elongated probably by six or seven years because of the Feds, the United States interference in the economy that Franklin Roosevelt was doing to try to fix the economy, and that if he had just kept his hands off of everything, the nation probably would have been out of the depression by 1934 or 35. If that’s true or not, I’m not an expert and I won’t go there, but I will give you this example of what happened with Franklin Roosevelt.

Franklin Roosevelt detested people like Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, the Rockefellers, John D Rockefeller types, the Vanderbilts, the Carnegies, he hated those people more than his uncle, cousin I guess, Teddy Roosevelt hated when he broke those companies up because they were monopolies. So World War II was approaching, and FDR toyed with the idea of nationalizing our military industrial complex of the day and realized really quickly that whatever the government touched to try to make better, they ruined. They could not get production up in anything they did and the best way to ruin a company is to have the government take it over. Before I finish this story, I’ve got a sidestep here. Have you ever heard about the time that the FBI and the United States government went after Mustang Ranch? That’s a legal prostitution house in Nevada. It fell into IRS default on tax payments.

So the government went in to run a whorehouse. Yes, the United States government literally, the Treasury Department, I believe, and the FBI, it might have been the Secret Service because they are at the time part of the Treasury Department, but they ran a whorehouse for about a year and a half and they lost money. They actually did a bad job and went bankrupt and before the person in bankruptcy bought it back, which the government tried to block him from doing, but that’s a side note. So the government can’t even run a whorehouse. I remember when I lived in Stewart, Florida, there was a really famous bar and restaurant down in Salerno that the government took over and they ran it for about six or seven months and they took this very successful bar that wasn’t paying enough taxes or so they said and they tried to run it with government bureaucrats and that bar went totally bankrupt and was shut down forever in about three months’ time. This is what happens when the government gets involved.

And Franklin Roosevelt, when we were approaching World War II, and he was someone that did understand that the United States was going to have to get into World War II. At the time, the United States was a lot like the so-called MAGA Republicans today who thinks that the United States can just go off into a corner somewhere and not play world politics. We could just take care of our own, as they say. We don’t understand that we are a global leader. We are a global target because we are a global military leader of the world’s despots and we are living in a global world and what happens in Europe, what happens in Asia, what happens in Africa can quickly find its way to America. This is not the 1800s when it took two weeks to cross the Atlantic Ocean. They can cross the Atlantic Ocean now in a matter of hours, a missile in a matter of minutes, so there is no big two seas between us and the rest of the world to protect us like we had for the first 150 years of our existence. Franklin Roosevelt understood that. He understood what was going on in Japan and what was going on in Europe with Nazi Hitler was going to affect America.

Now the Americans didn’t want to believe that and so he needed to prepare us for war and he secretly tried to do a lot of things on his own and he tried to nationalize certain companies or certain projects where the government made the rules and took over a business planning and what he found out was they couldn’t do it because bureaucrats can do nothing right. They can’t run our government. They get trillions of dollars a year in taxes and between the bureaucrats running our government and the politicians spending the money for our government, we’re broke every year. So anyway, reluctantly, FDR had to bring in all the top industrialists in 1941 when the war broke out and Pearl Harbor was attacked and he knew he needed equipment and he went to the people like Henry Ford and says you’re going to have to start producing tanks and Henry Ford’s son, Edsel Ford, said no and we can also produce airplanes. You don’t make airplanes. We can do it, and you know Ford Motor Company was one of the largest aircraft, military aircraft builders in the entire World War II era.

A lot of people don’t even know that but what FDR realizes the United States government could not outdo Ford Motor Company, General Motors, could not outdo Boeing, could not outdo Lockheed, McDonnell Douglas. These people knew what they were doing. When it came to ammunition, DuPont was the world leader in making ammunition and gunpowder. These are the things that government needs to leave alone. So what FDR did was, okay, you do things, I need liberty ships, I need battleships, I need aircraft carriers, I need tens of thousands of tanks and airplanes and armored vehicles and machine guns, and you name it, I need it. I’ll write you blank checks, you get it produced and they did. We produced one liberty cargo ship a day during World War II. Think about that, a day. We don’t even have one big shipbuilder in America today.

We got a lot of little ones but we couldn’t do anything like we did before World War II and during World War II that we did then. It’s just mind-boggling when you understand how in decline America is and how out of touch Donald Trump is. And that’s the plain truth. You cannot take over American businesses and run it from a government perspective and put a bunch of bureaucrats in to help make decisions on the board of directors. I’ll make a prediction. Intel stock is going to plummet over the next two to three, four years. Intel itself is going to start making very inferior chips, computer chips to the rest of the world. And China companies are going to absolutely dominate the chip business in two to three years that we’re dominating today in technology. Now, a lot of our chips are being built in Taiwan but it’s American technology.

And the reason is whenever the government takes over any industry, it becomes a welfare state for that industry. What happens with welfare with the American Indians? What happened with Indian reservations and welfare for them? Turned them into the proudest people in the world probably. Turned them into a bunch of drunken losers. This is what government can do for people. Look what happened to the inner cities with welfare. Making the man leave the house in order for the woman to get welfare payments in the 1960s.The most loyal parents of the 1920s and 30s were black homes. Harlem was safer than any white place in New York. People could go to Harlem and watch concerts even up to the 1950s without any fear of violence whatsoever. If anything, they were safer in Harlem than they were in downtown New York City because both the black man and the wife was in the same house raising children up until the welfare state of Lyndon B. Johnson. When it was mandated for a woman to collect welfare, the man had to leave the house. So what did you have? A bunch of divorces and you had a bunch of men learning.

They could just go around and impregnate everybody and not be responsible because the government was going to be responsible. So we took that society and destroyed it within one generation. This is what we did. And now we think we’re going to help Intel. We think we’re going to take over Boeing because that’s going to come next. You’re going to see business after business after business being taken over until somebody stops it. It will probably be stopped. But when Bernie Sanders, and this is so funny, when I turn on the TV and I see Bernie Sanders saying, this is the greatest thing Donald Trump’s done so far, then you know we’re in trouble. You name me a socialistic state that has lasted more than one or two generations. It doesn’t happen. Europe is in shambles right now. Europe is waiting for that dictator to take over to turn it around because right now Europe is in shambles. Communism has never worked. Fascism, by the way, does seem to work. And this is why many industrialists love fascist governments.

I tell people all the time, China is not a communist nation. People want to say because they spout communist principles, they’re a communist nation. They are not. They’re a fascist nation. They are a nation of independent businesses owned by mostly Chinese citizens. People don’t know this. And the government protects them throughout the world through all kinds of incentives to keep their people working. So the government doesn’t own those businesses. They don’t take stake in those businesses with very few exceptions. For the most part, they allow independent people to run their own businesses under government protection. And therefore, they can innovate, and they can come out with products. In America, how did Apple start? How did Microsoft start? Well, Microsoft started in the, I believe, the basement of Bill Gates’ house. And Apple started in the garage of Steve Jobs’ home. They were small people. They were middle class people. They weren’t industrialists. They weren’t a big corporation. And they came up with the world changing computer systems between Microsoft and Apple. And dominates the whole world today from two just middle-class kids. They were young kids that came up with two companies that dominate the world today. Now, I got a question for you.

If the government had owned IBM, for example, who was the big computer company of the day, and today they’re almost, you know, they’re like a joke, to be honest, compared to Microsoft and Apple. They were the giant. Well, if the government owned, let’s say a 10, 20, 30% stake in IBM, and Bill Gates came along with a Microsoft personal computer, or Steve Jobs came along with the Apple Big Mac computer, what do you think the government would do? The government would do every kind of regulation possible. And you’re talking to me, you’re listening to me, I’m sorry, you’re listening to me, who’s a manufacturer of paint goods. And I know all about government interference in my business, because it happens monthly, if not weekly in my business, that we get some kind of government interference into our production, into our whatever we do, one thing after another, which ends up costing a consumer a lot of money. But my point is, they would go to war with a Bill Gates, or a Steve Jobs to prevent them from hurting IBM sales that they have a stake in.

And so these people might decide, for example, well, let’s go to China, let’s go to Europe, let’s go to another country and sell our product. And so there will be, because of what Donald Trump is doing today, there will be a brain drain out of this country to other countries who will have open arms for all this new innovation that we are going to put an end to with government interference. I’m from the government, and I’m here to help. As Ronald Reagan said, they’re the nine most dangerous and scary words in the English language. We just never learn from our history, do we? We already have a history of what happens when America went socialist. We already have a history. We have present-day history of what happened to Europe with socialism, what happened to communist Russia with communism, what happened with Mao’s China under communism, when after Mao went away, and the leaders that supplanted him, replaced him, realized that if they were going to be an industrialist world power, they had to get off this communist routine, and they had to learn capitalism from the Americans of all sorts. And that’s what they did. They studied American capitalism, and they put a little fascism behind it.

And that is the Chinese economic powerhouse of today. It’s a capitalistic society internally, with a lot of competition among the people who own Chinese businesses, with a fascist government that protects them worldwide. Something that Adolf Hitler did, and would have been successful if he didn’t decide to go invade all of his neighbors and be a Donald Trump, and decide he was going to let his arrogance do him in.If Adolf Hitler practiced what he was doing, he had Henry Ford building cars there, he had the Bush family investing in his shipping industry, he had American bankers running his banking industry, he had turned around the great inflation that was there, he got the trains running on time, as Time Magazine made him Man of the Year for. He was doing, for Germany, a pretty decent job turning them out of the depression before the rest of the world could get out of the depression. Adolf Hitler’s problem was he was a megalomaniac, and he wanted to invade every country around him.

He wanted to have total control of the world and he decided he was going to attack his own friends, like Russia. People don’t realize this, if you don’t know your history, but Joseph Stalin signed a peace deal with Adolf Hitler, and they were together at the beginning of World War II, until Hitler, in a very stupid move, decided he was going to attack Russia, and do away with Stalin.And then he then decided he was going to attack France, and Holland, and England, and do away with them. So he opened up a two-front war that they did not have the military capability of doing. And the truth is, by the time America entered the war in 1942 against Germany, they were already defeated, because we outmanned them, outpowered them, and outsmarted them.And they were a losing nation because of a losing nation, I’m sorry, a losing nation because of a losing leader. A little World War I corporal with a mustache was telling military experts how to do their military attacks, and it was a disaster for Germany. And if Germany did not start attacking their neighbors, they would have had an atomic bomb, they would have had a military that was unsurpassable, and they probably would control Europe to this day, including England, and America probably would have had a Cold War with Germany and not with Russia in the 1950s, and 60s, and 70s.

I started out this broadcast, and I sometimes get carried away, and I get off subject by saying if you read foreign newspapers, like English newspapers online, or European newspapers, you get a perspective you don’t get in America, because American press is afraid of this President right now. But there are stories going on in England, for example, that Donald Trump is suffering from dementia, and that Melania Trump is trying to protect him from some of the problems he’s having physically. You’ve seen his ankles, you’ve seen his hands, you’ve seen the problems he’s having. Watch him aboard Air Force One. He no longer is very vigorous going up those steps. He hangs onto that railing almost as much as Joe Biden did, and it would be kind of ironic if he ends up being in the situation Joe Biden was before the end of this presidency, because God has a way to be pretty mad when he’s mocked, when he has saved a person, and I believe this is the case, he saved the person from an assassin’s bullet in order for that person to lead God’s people, which the United States is Israel of your Bible, and to lead God’s people out of the wilderness and into a better life before the end of the world comes. And it’s not the end of the world, by the way.

It should be the end of this age, because what happens when man’s age is over, when we’re replaced by a much better government, controlled by none other than Jesus Christ when he returns to earth, so it’s really the end of the age. But anyway, Donald Trump might be having a problem here, and it would be quite ironic that his McDonald’s diet is catching up with him, and some of the antics he’s doing is catching up with him, but mainly because maybe God is catching up with him. We have some stories on the plain truth, and I’m not afraid to tell you right now. God is in control of world leaders. God is in when he wants to be, or when they want to be, because God is to God the Father and Jesus Christ, they’re both to make up the Godhead. They control, and when leaders thumb their nose at God, God’s laws and God’s principles of being compassionate and obedient and respecting of others’ rights, then that God turns on you, and sometimes what you saw the person before you are suffering, you end up suffering. Read the Bible. I keep asking people for themselves, read the Bible, especially the book of Kings and Chronicles, because it mirrors our day today when you have bad leaders, evil leaders in fact, that God decides to turn his back on them and allow them to be destroyed, killed, maimed, and this is what’s happening in the world today. God is not in control of this age.

Satan is. He’s the God of this world, but God does put his, he gets his way. God gets what they want when they want it, and I think right now God is not happy with America. I don’t think God is happy with this government for sure. I don’t think God likes to see aliens in this country, and I think they’re here illegally, but if they’re working hard and they’re paying their taxes and they’re not causing crime, I think they’re the last people right now that this government should be going after. When I read and hear that 72% of the people who’ve been arrested so far by ICE have not been a criminal except coming over illegally 20, 25 years ago, but they have broken no law since they’ve been here, and they’re the majority of the people in these concentration camps, I think we got a problem. We have a problem with compassion. What does God say about the foreigner living amongst you? Well, in one case he says they will rule over you because of your evilness against God, but in another thing, he also warns people of not mistreating the foreigners living among you because you, Israel, were foreigners in Egypt and were mistreated. S

God looks at us treating our enemies and our foreigners with respect, human respect.

We are to respect everybody, and we are not to mistreat anybody. That’s the way that God wants us to handle enemies and citizens alike. So anyway, it’s going to be interesting if some of these reports coming out of Europe turns out to be true, but I’ll tell you right now, this idea of America becoming a Bernie Sanders communist country under Donald Trump is not going to make any better because it’s under Donald Trump. It’s going to have the same result of what would happen if Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren or if AOC became president. In fact, if the idea of cognitive dissonance works, and I believe it does, I wrote a paper about it in college, that I believe that this presidency and its failure of this presidency is probably going to swing America so far over to the communist camp, the socialist camp, that we’re never going to dig ourself out and it’s the end of America as we know it. I’ve been saying for a long time in this program now, America is in decline and it’s not getting its way out.

We had a chance, I thought, with Donald Trump. Donald Trump is squandering that chance and the chance is over with. His presidency is destroyed. It is not going to turn around, in my opinion. It’s going to go down from here, lower and lower and lower until God decides to do something. And that, I don’t know. I have ideas, but I’m not going to say them here. The plain truth Bible, for example, in its original order has Jesus’s words in the Old Testament in red and many people don’t realize that the God speaking in the Old Testament was none other than the God, the person that became Jesus Christ and now is God again in and is planning a return to this earth as the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords and going to take over rule of this world and his headquarters is going to be none other than Jerusalem and that’s what’s going to happen. So that’s the plain truth for today. I’m glad everyone tuned in to listen. It has. I don’t have a lot of people and I don’t think I ever will have a lot of people listening to this broadcast because frankly I give a message that is not the message that people want to hear. Unfortunately, the message that people really want to hear is what they want to hear and not what they don’t want to hear and they want to disregard the rest as Simon and Garfunkel had in one of their songs and that is going to lead to their destruction or at least their first chance of becoming a true Christian in the world to come but that’s what’s going to happen to the most people.Christ said the way to destruction is wide.
