Russia and Biblical Prophecy (Transcript)

Good morning, this is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by The Plain Truth dot com. I will claim that it is the best website on the face of the earth if you’re looking for what’s happening today and why things are unfolding as they are. 

I have a question for everyone. In this phage age that we live in…do you believe that all the things like taxes, economic disorders, riots, chaos, crime, divorce, drugs, wars, international calamities, earthquakes, sicknesses, and all of problems with COVID that we went through…do they mean anything?

What does it all mean? 

Do all these scenarios have anything whatsoever to do with the Bible and God or is it just a happenstance type of a thing?

Does the Bible talk about our day? Because if the Bible is only a bunch of religious fairy tales as some claim…and just a collection of sayings by old seers, prophets, sages, and would-be reformers…going all the way back to the old days of a tiny little struggling bunch of Jews out in the wilderness somewhere, then why bother?

1:01 Too many people have this attitude today I’m afraid…as do too many religious people. It is common to have religious people writing me when I talk about Biblical prophecy, and they will take sections of the Bible and attempt to show me how it does not apply to our day. They will tell me that the Bible was just written by a group of men who made up stories about God.

 Hell, like I have said, so-called modern-day Christians even have this same viewpoint of the Bible and have said these same things to me. They say they believe in God and that they believe in Christ yet most of them do not believe that He really came and was actually God! They say they’re Christians, yet they don’t believe a thing that’s written in the Bible! They believe the Bible is a collection of fairy tales written by a bunch of old men that were having visions…maybe that they were high on some type of a natural opiate or something to that effect, which has nothing to do with the real God whom they can’t even explain!

These same people also may say there is a God, but they think this God is just all-loving, and all-caring..,not human like at all. Furthermore, they believe He is a God who accepts everybody whether you’re queer or you’re transgender or whatever you are apparently He just flat out accepts you as you are. They believe that the Bible is too condemning and that there is no way that such a condemning piece of literary work can be the Word of God.

This is what a lot of Christians believe. 

2:29 To the “educated” Christian there is no believing in Noah in the ark…they don’t believe the account of Jonah and the big fish, and they do not believe that two naked people started the human race in the Garden of Eden which is something that science proves. Yes, it has been proven that all human beings come from a same mother and a same father genetically. They will ask me if I really believe that. Hell, I even heard Bill O’Reilly when he was still on TV say, ‘well, nobody with any rational being, you know, we believe in God and we’re Christians and we’re Catholics, but I don’t know of anybody who really believes in the Garden of Eden or Noah’s ark.’

Well, I guess I’m a nobody…because I do.

The Bible itself challenges its readers to prove itself. This is the thing; the Bible just doesn’t give you a bunch of beddy-bye stories.

It actually asks of you or more accurately demands of you and even begs you to prove itself. The Bible says prove me right now in many places in the Bible. Is this God speaking to us through the Bible or is it just some man who wrote that phrase down to try to win somebody’s approval? That’s the question. It’s quoted as being the first person though when you see the red-letter scripture in the New Testament.

Did you know that everywhere you see God speaking in the Old Testament, it is really Christ doing the work? Yes, they are His Words. It is also His voice being heard! The proof of this is when Christ made it clear in the New Testament that no person had ever heard the voice of God the Father at any time nor has anyone seen His likeness or form.

Then you have to ask yourself, then who did Moses see? Who did Moses talk to? Who gave Moses the Ten Commandments written with his own finger? Who was the God of Adam and Eve in the garden? Who did the prophets listen to? Whose voice did they hear? Well, the answer is obvious. You find the answer in John chapter 1 which is truly the beginning of all Bibles. This scripture tells you that in the beginning was the Word, Jesus, and the Word was with God, the Father, and the Word was God, and all things were created by him, Jesus. Jesus is the God who created the heavens and the earth. He is the one who created Adam and Eve. He is the one who banished Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden (which is a true story) and He’s the same one who spoke to Moses.

He’s the same One who was Abraham’s best friend!

Believe it or not, Jesus is the God of the Old Testament.

When you see these words in red, it is saying that God who is in the first person, is saying this. Can you believe this or is it just some guy who’s writing it down and he decides to put quotes on it and say, thus saith the Lord just so we can believe it? Is this accurate or is it really the words of God that are in red in the Bible?

Like I said, you can get the Plain Truth Bible, and you will see all the words of Christ in red, including the Old Testament.

5:36 There’s one thing for sure…since the Bible itself claims within its own pages to be the Word of God and since the prophets themselves claimed that they wrote not of themselves, yet they were sometimes even virtually forced to write the prophecies they wrote, many of the prophets were not willing participants. Jonah is one. The reason Jonah got swallowed by the great fish is because he was running away from God because he did not want to give the people the prophecy from God over Nineveh about the destruction of Nineveh…he didn’t want to be the bearer of bad news. Even Jeremiah argues with God all the time declaring that he wants to be relieved of his duty as an acting prophet because he did not want to continually give the people the bad news…he didn’t want to communicate what God had to say. In fact, today, even in modern English, if you’re called a Jeremiah, it means you’re a complainer because Jeremiah constantly complained to God! By the way, the God he was complaining to was Jesus Christ in his pre-existing form! It was the Lord, his God that he did not want to give of these bad messages. He did not want to tell the people they were always under doom and gloom, and he did not want to be ostracized by the people that he was trying to get to, and he felt bad about it. God would tell him off and put him back on his feet and tell him, you got to do my word, you have to say what I command you to say, and you have to do what I command you to do, or I’ll find somebody else, basically. And so, a lot of these prophets did not want to write down the words of God….

They didn’t volunteer and they predicted all sorts of things which did not yet occur in their time, or even many of it in our time. I say this often, and I stole this, but I have proven it for myself, I stole this from Garner Ted back in the 1970s, that roughly two-thirds of the prophecies of the Old Testament and the New Testament have not yet been fulfilled. Since the Bible has many prophecies that have not been fulfilled from the Old Testament and the New Testament and the future prophecies that it’s talking about have not yet occurred, then how can we say the Bible is accurate and believe in the future predictions unless we have some sort of proof? Well, one-third of the Bible has been predicted accurately and has happened, so not all the prophecies given by the prophets have come true yet, but the ones that did, basically a third of all the prophecies of the Old Testament especially, those prophecies that did come true proved themselves quite accurate.

8:47 I will give an example: The idea of Alexander the Great when he went into Jerusalem, and he had a habit of taking over every temple of every land that he conquered. He would destroy them and would put his gods there to show the people who was boss. When he got to Jerusalem, and I would assume he intended to do the same thing with the Temple of the Living God, the high priest met Alexander on the steps of the temple with a scroll of Daniel. This scroll from 300 years prior to Alexander’s existence, accurately predicted the coming of Alexander and that he would defeat Persia. It went on to predict that he would conquer the known world and that at a very young age he would be cut off and killed having died in some manner and that his kingdom would be divided into his four generals. These things so intrigued Alexander that he left the temple alone…plus he gained the knowledge of several significant things. Alexander knew he was going to defeat Persia, yet at the time he had not done so, and he went on to defeat Persia. He did have four generals so he must have known that this had to be pretty accurate, and low and behold, every bit of that prophecy came true!

Here is another example. The prophecy of the 70 weeks before the coming of the Messiah happened exactly on time. There are many, and I’m not going to get into all of this today because it’s a different subject for another time, yet there are many prophecies that have come true. Like I said, two-thirds have not come true, but many have come true.

10:28 By the way, for those of you listening to my actual broadcast recording: I know my voice may sound more echoey than normal and that is because at work we have an apartment, and I am in here now. This apartment we utilize for our salespeople and our tech people that do not live in the area…so when they travel here and being that there are no hotels where we are, we have made this apartment available for everyone near the plant.

I am actually doing the broadcasts most often the day before they are aired. I cannot record from my office because of the trains that go by constantly as we’re on the main line of the Norfolk Southern Railroad. About 25 trains a day go by…some are coal trains, Amtrak passenger trains, container load trains, you name it, they come by here however, this is Tuesday afternoon, and this will play on Wednesday morning. My wife and I are actually talking about the possibility of moving this show to 7:11 p.m. instead of our normal time of 7:11 in the morning. I do wake up early each day and I do my exercises. I also go in the sauna to try to improve my health as I near the age of 70…and so I tape the show most of the time the night before. Since important news happens overnight sometimes that I’m not aware of until later in the day, my wife was suggesting that maybe I should do this in the late afternoon (as I am right now) all of the time and post at 7:11PM. We’re thinking about it and will let everyone know if we decide to change it.

11:50 Back to prophecy…if you can see in the past…there were prophecies written hundreds of years prior that came true before they happened, like I just gave you Alexander the Great as one example. There are many more prophecies that are going to happen that are yet to be fulfilled but if you can prove that a third of the Bible’s prophecies were foretold and did come true, it’s a good track record then, therefore, to believe that the Bible’s future predictions will also come true.

Does the Bible talk about the time we live in today? Does it talk about modern United States, modern Russia, modern Europe and Germany? Does it talk about Japan? Is Japan ever mentioned? Is Germany ever mentioned? Who are the United States of America? Who’s England? Who’s France? Who’s Germany? Who’s Russia? Who’s China? Well, does the Bible talk about those nations or is the Bible only talking about the nations from 4,000 years ago?

Well, I have news for you….

13:10 We are going to prove that a lot of these nations are mentioned in the Bible, sometimes just by different names. I already told you what I said about the United States of America being lost Israel from the tribe of Joseph, Ephraim. Great Britain is also from the tribe of Joseph, the lost tribe of Israel, and is Manasseh. Reuben, for example, the nation of Reuben is modern-day France. The nation of Naphtali is modern-day Netherlands. The nation of Dan, you guessed it, is modern-day Denmark. That’s how they spell it in their own country…with a DAN…but we say DENmark. Dan is also part of Scandinavia, Norway, and Sweden. I also mentioned in the past how the Assyrians who had taken Israel into captivity, those are the lost ten tribes of the north…and the Jewish people today are of the southern tribe called Judah. The Jewish people do not have the right of the name Israel. Their name is Judah. Israel always belongs to where Joseph, more specifically, the two tribes of Joseph, are located. You can see that in any biblical commentary. You can see that in the Bible for yourself. The northern ten tribes were called Israel. The southern nation was called Judah.

After Judah broke up, it was still Judah; it wasn’t called Israel.

14:38 Let’s get into the biblical prophecy that is showing true today. It’s also given us another player in who this nation is today. One of the very first articles in the first year of the plaintruth.com I personally wrote. It was named, Why Russia is not the fear or not the danger that we think it is. I was explaining that all the way through the Cold War when everyone thought Russia was the antichrist and the King of the North from scripture. Everyone also thought Russia was the one that was going to cause World War III. Well, they might cause World War III, but they are not the nation that is talked about in the Bible where the antichrist comes out of. The antichrist comes out of the Holy Roman Empire. You can prove that in the book of Daniel.

You can prove that also in other places and anyone who really is a scholar will even admit that the Holy Roman Empire will be revived…and that Germany most likely is where the Assyrian people of yesterday, which are the German people of today, will be when and where the antichrist comes out of. It will be just like World War II all over again with Adolf Hitler. It’s possible it’ll be a dictator out of Italy, but I think he will come forth out of Germany. As like Charlemagne was a German who started the Holy Roman Empire.

15:35 Let me show you another Bible passage about a future nation that we all know of today. It is found in the 38th chapter of Ezekiel. It’s also found in other places in scripture, but believe it or not, you can find some modern names here. Now in the 38th chapter of the book of Ezekiel there’s a prophecy where Ezekiel the prophet is told to set his face against a people called Gog, G-O-G. So when you see names in the Bible such as Gog, the land of Magog, these names are areas of where a people, tribes, and nations were born, and the racial definitions and limitations are given. It may sound strange to us. Well, when you look at the original, you find there is a different rendering then what we have today, yet it has the same basis of the rendering found in the Bible which is many thousands of years old. This Magog, pronounced May Gog, is also rendered in another location as Rosh, R-O-S-H. Now is that starting to ring a bell to you? Now there were people who were called Moguls, Magog Moguls, Mongols. You know, we know Mongols from Mongolia. Well, they are the people of Magog. Funny, isn’t it? The Bible also talks about the people of Javan, could that be something else? Well, we do have the island of Java, for example, that’s near where? The island of Japan, J-A-V-A-N, J-A-P-A-N, J-A-P-A-N, J-A-V-A-N. Well, it turns out that Javav is comprised of the Japanese people. That’s where you find that prophecy concerning those people today. Its name is a little different but it’s not that much different than what the Bible called it when they were first discovered or founded after the Tower of Babel some 5,000 years ago.

16:05 Now we look at the prophecy concerning Magog and Mishko and Rosh, and we see that there is a term called Muscovite, and from the original comes this capital of Russia, Moscow. Originally, Moscow was called Muscovite believe it or not. Originally, it was pronounced or spelled Muscovite and it’s a derivation of the word from the Bible of the 38th chapter of Ezekiel as well as the 10th chapter of Genesis. Mishkel-Tubal gave rise to the city of Tubalask and it speaks of prophecy against these people thus God has given a prophecy against the people which we know now is the people of Moscow and of Russia. So here in general, we have a broad prophecy against the peoples of the Russian area, the Russians. There are many of them as we know them today, there’s Belorussia, there’s Abidjan, there’s Georgia, there’s a people called the White Russians, and there are the Ukrainians which were always identified as Russians.

18:34 You know, I think I’ve told you this in a previous show, that most of the leaders of the Soviet Union were Ukrainian. Stalin was Ukrainian, Khrushchev was Ukrainian, and I believe Gorbachev was Ukrainian. Ukrainian has been a part of Russia as much as Maine has been a part of the United States of America! So, this propaganda that you’re being fed today by the people who want to get rich off of American taxpayers by funding a Ukraine government, which is really a part of a runaway, breakaway civil war from Russia, and that’s the plain truth. They are part of Russia whether if we want to believe it or not, but unfortunately our news media today just simply does not tell the people the truth. You are not being told the truth about Ukraine and the struggle they have with Russia. Ukraine has always been a part of Russia, it is part of Russia, it’s part of the Russian people that many of the leaders of the Soviet Union came out of.

Now, they have problems with the Russian Confederation even back in the days of the czars, so there’s always been tension between these people like there’s tension between the people of South Carolina, for example, and Pennsylvania or New York. It’s called the Southerners versus the Yankees, right? The Civil War is still being fought in many places in the United States however does that mean that if someone was to say that South Carolina has a right to succeed because it never was a part of the United States because they have a different culture, that we would go to war like we did in 1861? We would go to war against South Carolina, killing every man, woman, and child that wanted to leave the Union, wouldn’t we? We would somehow justify it however when Russia wants to do it we want to say that Putin is some kind of a monster for trying to do what Abraham Lincoln did.

20:33 You know, the very first war criminal by the Geneva Convention, which started in the 1860s, the very first person they named as a war criminal, you know who that was? it was Abraham Lincoln. The Geneva Convention named Abraham Lincoln as the very first war criminal. But let’s get back to the prophecy…

God says, behold, I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Mishech, or Moscow, the names that were given to these areas. God is saying He’s against them. And I will turn your back and put your hooks into your jaws, and I will bring you forth with all your army, clothed with all sorts of armor. These prophecies were against modern-day Russia but they are not prophecies that are going to happen before the return of Christ. Many people are mistaken when they read Ezekiel 38 believing that Russia is going to war against Israel, the Jewish nation, before the tribulation happens and even before Christ returns.

21:53 In Revelation 20 you will see Gog and Magog spoken about and this is where you are going to hear of these two people, Gog and Magog and how they do not fight against the peaceful city of Jerusalem until after Christ returns; this will be after the thousand-year reign of Christ. Then God is going to allow Satan to come out of his pit and again, fool parts of the world. This will be including Gog and Magog, and guess what? They are then going to go to war with the holy people living in the peaceful land of modern-day Israel and Jerusalem, under the kingship of none other than Jesus Christ as Lord of Lord and King of Kings. He will be with David as his king over the house of Israel and where Jesus is the king of the world. Then Gog and Magog go to war.

In chapter 38 of the book of Ezekiel, you have to combine the scripture there with Revelation and realize Russia is not the threat now yet it is going to be the threat after the millennium. The threat today is the Holy Roman Empire which in our understanding and view is being built right now. This is the reunification of the European mind.

Look at what happened last week with the interview between Musk and Donald Trump where the EU issued a statement that they wanted Musk to cancel the interview. They wanted to stop the free speech of a presidential candidate.

23:10 The European Union my friends I must tell you how important this is and what it is really all about.

The EU, which is going to morph into the Holy Roman Empire, is our true enemy of the future.

It is not China. It is not Russia. It may also be Japan, by the way however it is not the people we think it is. Our real enemies according to the Bible assuming you truly want to believe the Bible…or not…the Bible is going to prove that all of its prophecies are going to come true. The other two-thirds are going to come true exactly like the Bible predicts, just to let you know right now.

23:55 It is important to know that the Bible names our enemies of the future. It will be the King of the North which is the Holy Roman Empire under a Pope and an Antichrist. As I have stated before, it is my belief that it will come out of German and possibly out of Italy. I believe it will be a Charlemagne type emperor. Also, our other enemy is going to be also the arch enemy of the King of the North which is in the Bible called the King of the South. The King of the South is a modern day Muslim united world. Think of all of North Africa, all the way over to Afghanistan, and all the top of Africa being under one dictator, including Saudi Arabia, Iran, Afghanistan, and Egypt, and I say this because in scripture it says Egypt shall not escape, Morocco, Libya, all of that will be under another type of Antichrist leader. This however is not the Antichrist leader. It’s going to be a Muslim dictator who will control the entire United States of Islam.

25:07 You’re going to have a United States of Europe and you’re going to have a United States of Islam. They are the two biggest enemies that the Bible predicts for us. This is very poignant because it is what’s going to destroy America, England, and Western Europe…eventually. As a result, we are going to be destined to go into captivity.

I’m hoping with this election as we come nearer to November, I am hoping that it will not be a fore sign of us going into captivity.

I can guarantee you that under democratic rule and especially under communist Kamala Harris that America will not survive four years. It will not even survive period. Contrary to what anybody’s going to tell you, America is going to be in big, big trouble, and we’re going to go into captivity. I actually believe that the average American today is in captivity. We are living out Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28 where the alien living amongst us is ruling over us, and we have lost our freedom to aliens which has been predicted if we do not follow God and if we do not obey God’s laws. We think God’s laws were done away with, with Jesus on the cross however, nothing is further from the truth! We are maybe already and possibly have been for 20, 30 years living in a form of captivity. Let’s face it. Most Americans are afraid of their government. Most Americans are afraid of the police forces. Most Americans are afraid of the FBI. Most Americans, I know almost all Americans who pay taxes are afraid of the IRS.

Why should you be in fear of a government that is of the people and for the people?

Because they’re no longer of the people and for the people.

They are dictators over the people and they’re getting their marching orders from European billionaires like George Soros. They’re getting their marching orders from aliens and demon-possessed aliens at that who are trying to destroy this nation.

You’re seeing that happening in America today with these riots going on. These peaceful riots, as CNN would call them. Russia is not the threat that we fear today. Russia is a backward third world nation and the Ukraine war proves that. They can’t even beat little, tiny Ukraine yet, and they have millions of more troops than Ukraine. They do not have the ability to be a true world power. The world powers to come are going to be the United States of Europe and the United States of Islam. Just mark that down. You may see Japan being a third block. The Bible in Revelation talks about this…the 200- or 300-million-man army coming from the East. Everybody thinks that’s China, but I think China will be under the rule of Japan by then. Remember, Japan is the militaristic people of the Orient, the Java, the Japan of the Genesis.

They are the military people. The Chinese people are not militaristic at all. They are big time capitalists. They’re really not communists when you deal with a Chinese businessman. They’re mainly capitalists. But Japan, I think, will, what they call out of necessity and because of Xi Jinping is being so stupid and how he’s dealing with the world, that Japan is going to rearm with the nuclear kind. They’ve already built an aircraft carrier. They’re going to build much more armaments something that MacArthur, when he wrote their constitution forbade them to do, but it’s still going to happen.

Japan is going to be maybe the third monster power. You’re looking at another World War II all over again…with an Axis power…the Muslim power, and the Japanese power…the same triad of evil.

In summary, let it be known that this is your future. This is what the Bible predicts, and you can count on it to happen. It’s going to happen. I don’t know if it’s going to happen in your lifetime or my lifetime or your children’s lifetime, but it’s going to happen.

America is eventually going to fall.

28:29 America is going to go into captivity, and we’re going to have our nation completely ruled totally by foreigners. We saw symbolism of that when Barack Obama became president. Why do I say this? Because I do not believe Barack Obama was an American citizen. I still do not believe it to this day. We had a symbol of an alien ruling over us and destroying this nation, and he is still helping to destroy this nation.

So that’s my story on not fearing Russia…on who really is to be feared…and how the Bible is history…how it is prophecy…and how it is the news, all rolled in to one. The plain truth is that the Bible is always going to be accurate.
