Hi, this is Bob Barney for The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com, and I’m going to go over, this show was taped the day before it’s going on on our Monday show, did this actually Sunday, but I thought I’d do a show today that I could do a little bit in advance because we’re going to try to do a theme of this show is what will the headlines be in the future, not what’s the headlines in the past, and a lot of times news is just headlines in the past. I think topics that’s going to be the main topics of the week this week is if the Supreme Court finally, which we thought was going to happen Friday, but if the Supreme Court finally comes out with their decision on the tariffs, that’s going to probably consume the news for a few days at least because it depends on how they come back. If they come back and uphold the tariffs, which is not constitutional, by the way, if they do, but I’m not saying they won’t do this, money rules today and who knows who’s getting what money from whom, a little bit like the mafia, but if they do say that they are legal, I think Wall Street will be happy.

I think everybody has figured in these tariff costs and it’s inflation and the consumer is going to pay it anyway, and they may go along with these tariffs and I don’t think it will be in the news cycle very long. However, if they say that these tariffs are not legal, because they are constitutionally not legal, Congress has to do their job, which the Congress just has refused to do their job for some 40 years now. It’s not just this Congress, it’s basically all Congresses, no matter if it’s Democrat or Republican rule, they simply do not do what they should do.

That’s their constitutional duty. This happened when Barack Obama had both houses ofCongress. If you remember right, when he had both houses of Congress, none of the Democratic policies he claimed that he wanted to do, that they blamed the Republicans for blocking, never got through because the Democrats didn’t want to have those policies anymore than the Republicans did. They just wanted somebody to blame and that was all that game is about, but if they do ruleagainst the tariffs, that will cover quite a few news cycles because do people get their money back? Do I get my money back from the high tariffs that I had to pay? It’s going to be a legal nightmare for us little guys. It’s probably not going to be as bad for the big guys who probably will get their money back because they have the lawyers and they have the prestige and they have Congress people under their belts, if you understand what I mean there.

They’ll probably get their money back, but that is going to be a story of the week and the tariffs have been a major player in this economy since they were announced on April 2nd.And the funny thing is, it’s like last week, a headline, I’m watching CNBC, and a headline goes by underneath that nobody’s even talking about, and it says Johnson & Johnson has agreed to lower the prices on their drugs for the Trump administration as Donald Trump has asked them to do. In return, they’re going to get relief from all their tariffs, which means it’s okay now that Johnson & Johnson continues to make their medicines in China and Korea and Taiwan and they won’t have to pay the tariffs, but some small compounding pharmacy, for example, that makes stuff that’s maybe better for you, they’re not going to get that relief from the tariffs. So it puts the little pharmacy more out of business, it helps big Walgreens and the big pharmacies and helps the big drug companies when they don’t have the tariffs.I find it amazing how we are told that tariffs don’t cause inflation, but the first thing the big companies get is relief from their tariffs that does not trickle down to the small guy out there. But it’s going to be a story. One way or another, I think this week sometime, the Supreme Court is going to announce that decision.

Like I said, they thought it was going to be Friday, so it may be today, it may be tomorrow, and it will have a new cycle depending on the ruling. And like I said, if the ruling is what I expect it to be, that they are going to be held to be legal or basically held to be legal with a few exceptions, you know, for big business, but then that will be a story that will play out quite a long time. The other story I think, of course, is going to be big in the headlines all week long and maybe into the next several weeks depending on how long this drags on for, is what is going on in Iran.Because the Iranian people are finally trying to unsaddle themselves from this theocracy, this absolute demonic government that rules them, and the people of Iran are quite westernized. Remember, Iran was a very westernized country under the Shah back in the 60s and 70s where, heck, Iranian women were seen in nightclubs wearing miniskirts and bikinis at the beaches, and this was allowed in Iran, and that has not gone away from the women of Iran. And so I think they probably had enough 45 years of the ayatollahs, I think most of the people probably have enough, and this rebellion is going somewhere maybe, and that will consume the news.Remember, the Middle East is always going to be part of the news in your lifetime until the time Jesus Christ returns, and you can always bank on it that God can change the headlines at any moment, and the Middle East will always be one of those headline-changing moments. And so we got to see what’s going to happen and what Donald Trump’s going to do about it. Now, Donald Trump said, and I’m not disagreeing with this at all, that he would support not with boots on the ground, and he made that clear.

I’m glad he made something clear, but he did make that clear that there would be no boots on the ground, but it may be strategic airstrikes against certain targets in Iran if they start killing their people or continuing to kill their people. If he does that or not, I don’t know, but I don’t think I have a problem if he does. If you remember right, on this very program, when he did and took out, supposedly took out their nuke sites, which I knew at the time he did not really accomplish, that the government in Iran was ready to topple if we allowed Israel to continue what they were doing to Iran, and if we continued to try to assassinate Ayatollah, if you removed him, unlike otherdictators, I don’t think he would have been easily replaced because too many people in the publichate his guts, and I think there would have been a rebellion right then, and I think the snake’s head would have been chopped off and not to come back again, and I predicted that this head of the snake, of this demonic snake called Iran’s government, was going to come back, and it has, and they’re boasting they’ve restarted their nuclear program and everything else, but this rebellion going on, and we do have a new Shah, the Shah’s son, who’s willing to go back to Iran and try to rule it, and will he be a constitutional democracy?

Will he be a good guy for the West and for us? That’s to be seen, but I think he’ll be better than what’s there now, and so I do think if Donald Trump does something, I don’t have a problem with it.It depends how we do it, of course. We have to take it out if we’re going to do something. If we’re just going to hit a bomb here and a bomb there, and they are not removed from power, I don’t know if the people themselves yet can do it, but I do think that that is going to be a headline of this week, or of weeks to come, that will dominate the news cycle, especially if the government starts to topple, and if they start fleeing the country.Already, I have read online, don’t know how accurate this is, that many of the diplomats around the world from Iran are seeking refuge in Russia. They want to go to Russia, and then I’ve also read another report, and again, I’m not sure what you read today, if it’s accurate or not, if it’s just CIA propaganda to the press, but it may be true. I would assume it’s true that many of the leaders inside of Iran are privately contacting their Russian counterparts and asking if they could get asylum if there is a revolt that overthrows them, and they could run to Russia like Assad did in Syria. He’s living like a king.

I saw a story about him several weeks ago in the Daily Mail, and he’s living like a king with all his billions of dollars that he stole from the people of Syria, and I think the Iranian officials think they may have to do the same thing, and I think it’s good for the world, and I think Donald Trump will take credit for it. I’m not saying he should take all the credit for it, but I will say it would not have happened under Joe Biden, for sure, or any other Democrat I can envision in the office right now.Maybe in the past it would have, but not these Democrats, but again, we have to keep our eye on the Middle East, and this time it’s Iran, because I think Iran may be going the opposite way that everything else is going on in the Middle East, and that is, they may be going towards a constitutional democracy, which will stabilize that government to the West, in my opinion. It will actually continue to bring oil prices down, because once they join the real world, the real world that really is out there, and their oil goes back to full capacity, there’s no sanction against them. I think you’ll see even a bigger glut of oil than we have today, and that is another story that’s a headline of the future I want to get to right now, and that is that the idea, we do have a huge supply of oil that most people don’t understand that we have, and the United States is exporting for the first time in many years a lot of the oil we produce.

We are a major exporter of oil and natural gas today, and we do not need oil from Venezuela, we do not need oil from Iran, we do not need oil from Saudi Arabia or Russia like Chinese do, or the Russians even do, or Europe does, so we’re in pretty good financial shape when it comes to oil. Now, our national reserve, which Joe Biden depleted to almost nothing, has not been filled up yet, although I have read Donald Trump says he plans on refilling that natural reserve to 100 percent capacity, and as oil is coming down it would be behoove us to do so. It would be a lot cheaper to refill it now than it would be when oil was at, you know, $70 a barrel, and there is some people who believe one of two things could happen, so this is news you need to be aware of for the future about oil. There’s two schools, I should say, of thought about the oil glut we have today. Reserves of oil on land, believe it or not, are quite low, and that’s around the world.

Most of the oil, and I heard this the other day on CNBC, and I was shocked when I heard this, most of the oil today are actually located on hundreds and hundreds of oil tankers to the tune of, the guy said, I can’t, I didn’t find this anywhere and I looked for it, but the guy claimed, and he seems to be an expert, or claims to be an expert, there are 390 million barrels of oil on these ships, most of which are Chinese registered ships. That’s where China is storing their oil off sea and not on land. I don’t understand the reason for that right now. Maybe it’s because they want to be able to put another flag and take it to Iran or take it somewhere else to nefariously, I’m not sure what’s going to happen here, but the idea that there’s like 140 million barrels of oil in reserve on land and 390 million barrels of oil at sea, that could be a major event that would cause a problem, and I want to get into that right now about the oil news of the future, because school number one is this glut of oil is going to bring oil down to 30, $35 a barrel by summer, and we’ll see $1.69, $1.79 gas, and you will see the price of food drop, you’ll see the price of everything drop, because as I said in the past, oil is the blood supplyof the world. If there’s a lot of oil and the price of oil drops, then all manufacturing costs drop, all transportation costs drop, all electricity generation costs drop, everything across the board drops, and that is good for the average American, the average person of the world who depends on low oil prices in order to survive, because they don’t believe in all this green energy BS that we’re being sold by liberal politicians who have got their fingers in the till taking out bribes in order to subsidize electric programs that just simply are nonsense.

But the second school of thought here, and that’s what I wanted to get into, which would be a major news event, where this person who was talking about all the oil in these tankers was saying that if China was to call all of these tankers into their ports and basically hoard all of that reserved oil that is in their control, then we would have a worldwide oil shortage for a short period of time, I will admit, but still a real upswing in the price of oil, and he predicted it could by may be $150, $160 a barrel. I don’t know if I believe this, but I want to make you aware that there’s experts saying this, and although we would be able to produce enough oil to bring that down in six to ten months, we would see 2026 strangled with prices of gas and oil and energy that would absolutely kick us into a recession just as the election time rolls around, and the Republicans would really be in trouble.

They’re in trouble already, and I think they’re starting to realize they’re in trouble already maintaining their control of Congress and the Senate, but oil is going to be a major player. Either it’s going to go down and help us all, or like I said in the short room, it could go way up if this guy is right, and I’m not saying he is right, by the way, I’m just pointing out this is a scenario that youdon’t really see talked about in most of the news programs. You just, you don’t, you don’t hear thenews that you need to know. That is one of the big contentions I have about watching news programs today. Rush Limbaugh accurately called them the drive-by media, like the mafia. They get a story, they drive by, they shoot it full of holes, and they go on to the next story, and they never cover the stories of the past. What happened to the MIT professor who was gunned down by this supposed assassin who also gunned down these students in Brown University? Is that really true? Or was the fact that he was working on fusion energy that would replace oil, that would replace all of our economic system of oil, was he murdered because of that? And the guy that did it, if he did do it, was doing it because of that, or he’s just a patsy. Another conspiracy theory, but sometimes these conspiracy theories end up being the plain truth. And so, but you don’t hear anything about it, do you? One thing more close to home to me, I think we mentioned it on this program, it’s not big news, we have it updated all the time on the message board, is the tragic fire that killed Denny Hamlin’s father.

And if many people listening to this may not be race fans, but Denny Hamlin is a major NASCAR racer who sued, with Michael Jordan, NASCAR, and settled out of court big sums of money, probably not very popular with NASCAR, and with all of the mafia in fusion into sports like basketball, and I believe it’s going to be football and baseball as well, and because gambling is allowed in NASCAR, too, in Vegas, and most of the gambling joints in America, was the mafia in control of NASCAR, and who wins races, and all kinds of things that could really blow up, and could there be something nefarious there? I’m not saying there is. I don’t want to start a conspiracy theory. I hope there is nothing there. I feel very bad for the Hamlin family. The man was a good man. We knew him personally, my wife and I, when Danny Hamlin raced in a race-wrapped car, in race-wrapped races, and he won quite a few of them in his late model days. He’s a very talented driver. There was rumors even today, my wife read on, I don’t know if it was Instagram or Facebook or somewhere else, Denny Hamlin’s thinking about sitting out 2026. I hope that doesn’t happen. He’s a great driver, and I would like to see him win a championship. He wanted to do it last year for his dad, but that didn’t happen. But that’s another story that’s just not really being reported. You get these things, it’s like, I’ll give you an example, it’s like the North Carolina fires. It’s like the floods in Asheville in the mountains of North Carolina. There is no follow-up to these stories. Only 3,000 houses have been permitted out of 8,500 that burned down, and there’s less than, I think, four or five hundred houses been built. And most of those, I’m being told, I didn’t check this out, I just want to tell you this, but I was being told by listening to TV shows, and this again was, I think, Fox Business, is most of these are being built by big companies, not by the individual homeowners.

The L.A. City Planning Commission is giving permits to build to companies, corporations, who are going to build houses to rent them out or sell them, and the people who lost their homes are not getting the permits. A little scandal going on in California, Democrat California scandals, if that’s a surprise. And if Gavin Newsom is going to think he’s running for president, I guess the real motto has got to be, let’s make America like California, you know, out of electricity, out of everything, basically becoming a third world nation in California, and that’s what any Democrat rule is going to do in America today. That is my big problem, even when I go against a lot of Donald Trump policies lately, because Donald Trump, in my opinion, is almost ensuring a Democratic victory this fall, and that would be awful for America. If the Democrats get control of Congress and the Senate, and even before the presidency, they’ll impeach him instantly, and I think if he gets impeached several times this time around, he will be removed, because I think there are Republicans that are going to start working against Donald Trump, and that’s what I don’t want to see, because the Democrats gaining power, they’re not going to easily give up power again, and that’s the name of that song.

I’ll be right back after a brief message about The Plain Truth today and theplaintruth.com. Please go to theplaintruth.com every day. Well, the last story I want to talk about that I think could be part of the big news again, and that is these continuing protests against ICE agents and against the Trump administration going into these mainly Democratic cities against the wishes of the mayor and the governors of those states. Last week, of course, we had the shooting of the woman by an ICE agent, and there are all kinds of division. Was he justified? Was he not justified? No one wants to wait for a report. Everybody wants to make a decision, but it’s easier probably to make the decision because there’s videos from every angle, and I’ve seen all the angles, and I’ll say what I said in the Friday wrap-up. It appears to me that he shot when he should not have shot. I don’t believe it looks to me like his life was in danger. Now, there is a caveat to that because he was almost run over, or was run over before, and spent some time in the hospital, which might have traumatized him.

Also, the fact that he shot three shots. Every expert that I’ve listened to, be it on the left or on the right, all admit that officers are trained to shoot two to three times, three shots mainly, and not just one shot because shots miss, and if you’re trying to stop something, you fire three shots.I’ve heard experts on both sides, those who say he shouldn’t have shot and those who say he should have shot, all agree that three shots isn’t the norm, so the people who tried to say the three shots were, you know, retaliation, it doesn’t really hold water. The guy is put in an, in my opinion, these ICE agents are put into an impossible situation, and this is what I mean here. They are told to go into where they’re not welcome, and they are targets, and they know that any moment some idiot is going to kill them if they have the chance, because these idiots, they listen to the mayor, like the mayor of Minneapolis, who is an absolute, he should be arrested for inciting a riot, because that’s what he was trying to do, was incite a riot, or the governor who ran for vice president, Waltz, who is about as incompetent as any governor has ever been, and these people are trying to cause division.

Now, it’s okay to allow people to peacefully protest, but again, these protests often stop being peaceful, and when they stop being peaceful, it is the duty of the local government first, the state government second, to put an end to violent protest. That is their duty, and if they refuse to do so, and they’re not protecting their people, then it is up to the federal government, under the control of the executive branch, to bring law and order to any state that refuses to bring law and order to itself. Now, I’m not saying that Donald Trump is doing the right thing here under Kristi Noem. I think in many cases, they are laying a match when there’s gasoline around, and that’s not very smart. A good general picks the battles they know they’re going to easily win, and they knock off. I’ll back up. Douglas MacArthur had a strategy in World War II. He lands in Australia after Japan kicked him out of the Philippines and took over everything, and what was his plan?

Well, the Australians, their plan was just defensive, defend Australia against Japan’s invasion that was planned, and MacArthur says, no, my plan is an offensive plan, and I’m going to attack the Japanese where they are, and of course, his aide said to him, you understand, General, that there’s hundreds and hundreds of Chinese on this island or that island, and MacArthur said, well, let them stay there. We’re going to hit the islands where they’re very weak. We’re going to hit them where they ain’t, and we’re going to hop-skip around their strongholds and get bases and surround their strongholds where they won’t be able to get chow lines. They won’t be able to get any aid from Japan. No ships will be able to break our blockades, and so we’re going to take them by hitting them where they’re not strong. Well, that is the same policy a good general or a president should also take when we’re going into these ice raids. Let’s do so in places we know we can easily win these battles. I don’t have the planning. I’m not giving you a plan. I’m just saying a general rule of thumb is when you go in to do something, you go in to do it and make sure you’ve got all your bases covered. I believe we are hitting democratic cities only because they are democratic cities, and the purpose is to cause trouble in these democratic cities, and that is going to put these ICE agents and U.S. Marshals and any National Guard that ever gets called up in harm’s way, and it’s not the president’s job or any politician’s job to purposely put American soldiers or police officials in harm’s way, and I think, like I said, I think these ICE agents do have targets on their back.I think some of these are probably brutes. I think some of these suffer from the Y-Erp syndrome, and they should be replaced, but I think the majority of them probably are trying to do a job that they’re almost given an impossible job to do, and we’re sitting here on our armchairs watching TV and saying what they should be doing when we don’t have guns or bombs or whatever else or cars pointed at us to try to take us out at any minute. If you believe that the people behind these protests really are protesting because of what ICE is really doing, it has nothing to do with that. What you are seeing is pure divide-and-conquer communism. These people are protected by communist backers. The mayor of New York City is a communist.

The mayor of Seattle is a communist, and in my opinion, the mayor of Minneapolis acts like a communist, and we know Tim Walz, schooled in China, probably a Chinese spy, as I said during the election time, is also a communist. So we have people that are putting up with these riots, and that’s what they tend to turn into, in order to cause a division in this country, to divide this country, and this country cannot stand because there are, and I basically say it’s the Democratic Party in general, there are people, leaders, wannabe leaders or present-time leaders, who really want to see the destruction of the American way, and that’s what we’re seeing, this divide-and-conquer, and I believe that this administration is falling victim to what the communists want him to do.

If the man would shut up a little bit and just act like a president and try to be a uniter and let his people make the sound decisions and not decisions that he dictates from the White House out of arrogance, I think we’d have a better time at this. I really do, because I believe the vast majority of the American people do not want to see these protests going on because they understand they’re communists, and they understand the people that are protesting are basically paid supporters. That doesn’t excuse this woman. She didn’t deserve to die, and the idea that she was called a domestic terrorist is nonsense. Again, it’s plain politics that the American people does not deserve happening on their watch. And anyway, these are the news stories I think we’re going to hear this week and the next week. We’ll see if I’m right, anyway. That’s the show for today, and I hope everyone enjoys the rest of this week and watching the news and see how accurate we were, but I think these are the stories that make the most sense, that are going to be the drive-by stories of the next few weeks, and they’ll forget about them like they did every other story where you’ll never get a follow-up. We do try to, on the plain truth, to follow up these stories. We followed up the hurricane in North Carolina.

We keep following up on the fires in California. We try to keep up with the stories that everybody else wants to forget about. There’s a lot of stories that make the news today, and they’re gone from the news tomorrow because the drive-by media’s got another story to report on. Well, anyway, I’m out of time. This is Bob Barney for the Plain Truth today. Thank you for listening. We do appreciate you. We’ll be back again tomorrow with another program. Please go to the Plain Truth podcast every day. Like I said, during the week there are three of them, not just me, there’s others as well. Until tomorrow, Bob Barney saying thank you for listening. Bye Bye.
