Today’s subject of The Plain Truth Today is What is Life. Of course, this is a pretty song and a love song, but the question we have today is what is your life and what is your life about? Is there a purpose to your life? Is there a God in heaven that has a purpose to your life? What is your destiny? What is the news of your future going to look like. Your future is all a part of the news. You know as I always say, what happens in the world is news and what happens in the world that was prophesied by the Bible is also news. The Bible is not a religious book, the Bible is a history book. It also is a book that records not only yesterday’s news but also shows us tomorrows news; this is called prophesy.

What we must ask ourselves is: Does God exist, and can you prove it and what does this have to do with your life?

More and more Americans and western civilization people are leaving God behind. They are believing in the propaganda of the leftists and the communists that there is no God. ‘God is the opiate of the people’ as Karl Marx has said. They say that God doesn’t exist, and that mankind made God up to explain what they cannot explain. True science explains everything according to them. Does science do that?

It is absolutely important that you understand that God exists because if He doesn’t, your life is absolutely meaningless. If your life is doomed to end in death and there is not an afterlife somehow, what is the point?

We are miserable if we believe there is a God and there isn’t one. If there is no God, your life is surely a waste of time. You are just like an animal, and you have to live now as the liberals want you to believe…have sex and all of the pleasure you want, if it feels good, do it, because you aren’t going to have a second chance. What is the result? The result without God in the world, if He doesn’t exist, we ultimately live without any hope.

The human animal, and we are an animal, as the Bible says we are created as an animal in the image of the Lord God. That is the truth. We are the image of God, but we are the animal, made up of flesh and blood like the animals and the same breath of life as any animal. The Bible says this in Ecclesiastes however, we are the only animal that has hope. Hope of prospering, having a good life, a long life, the knowledge of death that comes to us from the Garden of Eden…that death was revealed by our sins as the penalty of sin is death. Without God in existence, we have no hope. No hope leads to suffering. It leads to mind suffering and depression as well as suicide and bad choices; for living for today and not planning for tomorrow.

It is hard to understand this but unless you die young, someday you are going to die at any age anyways, an old man or an old woman, fighting a losing battle with aging, struggling against the inevitable advance of disease or perhaps senility…where finally you die. If that is all there is to this life, it is a miserable existence. You can see why liberals are so miserable.

Next, if God does exist, can you know His love for you personally? See, on the other hand, if God does exist, not only is there meaning and hope to your life, but there is also the possibility of coming to know God personally. God in the Bible actually refers to Himself as both your Father, your Brother, because God is made out of two supernatural beings that make up the Godhead, Jesus Christ and God the Father…God the Father is your Father and Jesus is like your Brother and your Savior and your King! It makes a tremendous difference for all of mankind if there is a God and if it is the God of the Bible.

It is a fact, and it can be proven that you can prove the existence of God just by opening your eyes and looking around yourself, specifically at nature. The Apostle Paul points out in the Bible that nature proves the existence of God. You look up at the stars and the planets and at the sunrise in the morning, the perfection of creation…. how perfect everything is…and how timed the sun is, how timed the moon is, the ratio of the stars…you can predict where the sun will be exactly in 184 days from now and prove where the moon and planets will be…and even the stars! Everything is a mathematical perfection that cannot happen by happenstance. If you were to go through a forest and you were to find a pocket watch…, would you think that that pocket watch was put there by chance? No person dropped that watch….and it just happened to have evolved from dead leaves and twigs and turned itself into a solid 18 karat gold pocket watch? NO. You would see the evidence of that pocket watch…you would know that someone brought that into the forest and left it there for some reason or another. Maybe they dropped it and wanted to leave it there. You would not believe that it happened to be there from some evolutionary type of process.

Yet, we go through the same forest where that pocket watch may lie and we see life-forms that are so intricate, interdependent on each other even, and we try to say, or evolutionists say, not me, but that all of this is by happenstance, by accident. That none of it is planned. They continue that there is no God and so, life just keeps evolving between species and the worm because this or that and your grandfather was an amoeba, and your great grandfather was a bowl of slimy matter.

If you go to the beginning of evolution, you will see how just like global warming, just how preposterous it is, just by looking at nature around you. They try to say that the flower came before the bird…the flower came before the bee, but you need hummingbirds and bees to pollinate the flowers. They had to be coexisting at the very same time. This couldn’t have happened over millions of years because the trees would die without pollination and there is no explanation of how trees were on earth billions of years before there was any life form at all, none of this makes sense. If you have a real sense of things, then you know that God has to be real. Is it the God of the Bible? The God of the Hindus or the Muslims?

Again, I think if you really study the Word of God, the Bible, and you study every other Bible in any language…back in my youth, you know, when I was trying to disprove the Bible, I did not want to believe the Bible was the Word of God. I didn’t even really want to believe in a God at all. I read the Koran, and I could pick it apart like you would not believe, I read other writings of people that were Hindu and many other religious forms, and other religions are similar in that their gods are like human beings, they have the same lusts that we have, no real morality, they are just extensions of the human thought process. When you read the Bible however, you read stories that no author would want to put in there without being told they had to because many times there are very embarrassing stories of our Biblical hero’s. Many had scandals in their lives. King David comes to mind. Here is a man who had everything in the world, he had five wives, he was handsome, he was rich and winning in war, he was a singer…then he sees a naked woman on a roof, falls in love with her and has to have her. He finds out she is married to one of his soldiers. He brings her to him to have sex with her and then allowed her to leave. He is committing adultery. He thinks he can get away with anything. He was very arrogant except when he came to God. A few months later, she comes to him and is pregnant. She has a problem with telling her husband because he was away at war. How many times did we see this in war with GI’s coming home to pregnant wives. It happens in every war. It happened here when King David had his enemies around him.

The woman David slept with was Bathsheba and her husband was Uriah, So, he devised a plan to get rid of this situation and stop himself from embarrassment. He decides not to come clean but to put her husband in the front line in battle and when there is the most desperate battle, I will tell my commander to withdraw all of the troops and leave Uriah to be left alone to be murdered by the enemy. The battle begins, the troops are pulled, and Uriah was left to be slaughtered. David solved the problem…or so he thought. He took Bathsheba in and now he can say he is doing a favor, and he is going to raise her child as his own. Then there is a problem…

…a hero of the Bible is sometimes not a very good guy to be because God will drag your reputation over the coals when you make a mistake and write it down for every generation for the next 3400 years to read it. That is what God does to the people He loves and respects.

He sent a prophet to David and the prophet gives a problem to David to judge over because Kings were judges then like the supreme court. He said that there was a man who owned ten thousand sheep and invited all of his friends over for a feast. His neighbor was a man who had only one little sheep who they treated like a member of the family. The sheep slept with the owners’ children in their beds, like a pet. The rich man did not want to take one of the sheep’s out of his flock even though he had so many, so he stole the sheep of the poor man and butchered it and fed it to his guests. David was outraged. He said that that man must die for what he did because he showed no compassion whatsoever for that poor man. David was exactly right. Unfortunately, the prophet said to David, “David, you are that man”. Then David realized that God knew his sin, and everyone was going to know it.

David then fell on his knees, although he was a proud and arrogant unlikeable man as a lot of people hated him, he was a Donald Trump of his day in regard to the arrogance. God doesn’t like arrogance and neither do I, but I like DJT and DJT’s policies, and I like David’s policies, too. I love David’s heart and loyalty for God as he fell on his knees and said he has sinned against the Lord God and wrote the 51st Psalm. You might want to read it. He tells God how sorry He is and for God not to take away His Holy Spirit. God forgave him but He told him that the child was going to die that he had because of this affair. Yes, the God who became Jesus Christ was going to kill this innocent child as it was born. So, when the child was born and it was sick and looked like the child was going to die, David fasted and prayed as one should, and hopefully America does that really soon, and the child died.

To the surprise of his servants, David got up and cleaned himself and sat and ate supper. His servants asked him why when the child was alive you were fasting and praying and now, he dies, and you seem okay and are eating like nothing happened. David said that the God that he worships is Holy and never makes a mistake. Perhaps He will listen to me even though I am a sinner he said to them, but I saw that God did not listen to my prayer and I accept God’s will. There is nothing else that can change that. I will go to God he said but He will not come to me. Meaning that David will die and be buried in a grave, awaiting a resurrection from the dead just like that child.

That is an interesting story, isn’t it? It is a story about how we need God in our life to show us morality and to show us right from wrong and without a God that can do that, we are a lost generation, a lost people. As a result, we are then doomed as well to bad times ahead.

When I finally decided that I could not fight God any longer in my life and I fought very hard for four years to not believe in Him, doing everything to disprove Him. I received all of this literature from the Worldwide Church of God and in trying to find ways to poke holes in it which some things I was able to but the message I was not able to. During that time, Garner Ted Armstrong and his father split up and became two different churches…I felt a loyalty to Garner as I had listened to him in my atheist years and learned more from that man than probably anyone else…even any teacher in school.

I went to meet Garner in Tyler Texas in back in 1978 in December, and I said to him that I think I had been fighting with God and felt like He was calling me. To my surprise Garner said to me, if God is calling you then I feel sorry for you. I was a bit stunned. Garner continued, “God is very hard on the people He loves”. God is not hard on this world because God is not calling this world at this time. This world is being allowed to go their own way as Satan is in control of this world and God calls only certain people now to understand His plan…and His plan is not for their personal salvation. God’s plan has nothing to do with their personal salvation, that is something that is a gift from God when one goes and listens to God and follows after God to be like Christ but that is not your purpose…

Your purpose in life is to live as an example for everyone else to follow so people can see that God is real and that you live a life to prove that God is real.

In doing so, you will make many mistakes, and God will be so hard on you that you will think you cannot take it…but you will take it. Yes, God is very hard on those He loves. However, that is proof of God when we go through hard times and make it through, we see God in His glory standing by us when nothing or no one else does. It is like when we have answered prayer, this is proof that God is real, that God is the God of the Bible and coming back to save us from ourselves.

Answered Prayer:

The last thing I wanted to talk about, the answered prayer part of the Bible. The Bible makes many predictions, number one. Most of the predictions that were supposed to be revealed have been revealed and the Bible has proven itself true. We keep writing and posting stories on The Plain Truth of archeological digs that always wind up proving that the Bible is true even though the scholars say the Bible was going to be wrong about this subject or that subject. A few weeks ago, they tried to say that the walls around the city of David could not have been built by him but Hezikiah. However, by carbon dating and other means, they proved recently that the ancient walls surrounding the City of David, were both built by David and Solomon. They could prove this by inscription and pottery within the walls…and once again, the Bible proves itself to be true.

Bible prophesy also proves the truth.

Alexander the Great who came out of Macedonia in Greece, conquered the known world of his day and when he did so, he destroyed the gods of every people he conquered. He would not allow them to have their own gods. HE destroyed their temples and places of worship. He destroyed their shrines and altars and statues of their gods. He put up his own gods and his own statutes, however, when he got to Jerusalem the high priest met him on the steps and he showed them this scroll of Daniel, as he is reading this scroll, he begins to read about himself. He reads about what is going to happen to him and who will follow him. He also read about what kingdoms will come after him. Alexander the Great is so moved by what he has read Himself knowing that it was written over 300 years before he even came to Jerusalem, predicting him, that he left the temple and the high priest alone thus allowing the Jews to worship their God, alone.

Answered prayer my friends and answered prophesy as well.

All prophesy that has been completed proves the existence of God and the Bible. It is there for everyone to see. I am telling you now that when you study the Bible and read things in there that people disagree with…unless it is a Biblical mistranslation which there are some of those, but whatever the Bible says will turn out to be true in the end. You will see this time and time again until you have to come to the conclusion that I did, that God is real.

The God of the Bible IS real.

You will see that all of the objections you have had about God are based on lies, fantasies, and an educational system at war with the True God.

Religious People:

Lastly, I would like to take issues with those religious people that want to blindly have faith in God and not prove God to themselves. It is a rational thing to believe in God, God is rational and nature around you proves the existence of God, but God wants to prove themselves to you personally. He does not want you to be vegetable or a mindless idiot willing to believe any fairytale that comes your way. Contrary to the many assumptions out there…God does not expect blind faith nor does the Bible advocate such a thing. We are to test all things and prove they are real. He tells us in 1 Thess 5:21, test or prove all things. Hold on to what is good.

Can you prove that God exists? Yes, the answer is yes you can and by many ways.

The Bible reveals a God who provides evidence of His existence.

Proof there is a God:

Finally, here are some proofs that you have to admit prove there is a God.

The idea of creation demands a creator. Things just did not happen all by themselves. The universe just didn’t come into order by itself. There has to be some kind of creator that ordained all of what happens to be in perfect harmony…astrophysical in its own right as well…and allows for perfection in all things. There is a precise divinity in what causes the sun to be able to rise and be known when and where it will rise…there is a predictability because of God! Of the stars. Of the planets. How they move. All of this proves the existence of God.

Life demands a Life Giver.

In the Middle Ages they had a theory that when they saw flour all of the sudden having maggots emerge from it, they believed that the flour gave birth to the maggots. They didn’t realize at first that a fly got in there and laid eggs, and the eggs turn into maggots. Well, that is what evolution is all about, the belief in spontaneous evolution and generation. They believe that form no life came life. From the flour came the maggot. There is no difference from what an evolutionist believed from what a pagane believed that didn’t know better. The Bible explains that all life has come from a life giver. Your children came from you and your wife. You were the life giver for your child. Each animal gives rise to not only their offspring but their offspring of the same species. A horse and a cow cannot mate. There is no such thing as evolution as it tries to point out that two frogs’ mate and out comes a bird. It just doesn’t happen.

The universe around us does demand a law giver.

There are natural laws. If you step off the Empire State building, you are going to fall to your death and chances are there are no angels that are going to pick you up. It is called the Law of Gravity. If you try and break that law that law will break you. Who made all of these natural and physical laws that keep the planet in the right space and the stars at the right distance from one another? This all demands a law giver. We have that with the Biblical explanations of God and the Godhead.

The designer is needed to design things. When you look at the intricacy of a feather of a bird, to see how it is made so specifically to help a bird to be able to fly, you cannot sit in wonderment of a bird or just the feather or the bird without seeing God.

How about the intricacy in which you are made. How about your lifespan, how your heart works in a certain way until the day you die. You go to sleep, but your heart doesn’t go to sleep, you go to sleep, but your lungs do not go to sleep…. you do not have to think about breathing or making your heartbeat…it does it automatically. This is because God has designed you in such a wonderful and mysterious way that again proves the existence of God.

I am going to end this show with what is life.

Life is what you make it with God. George Harrison tried to find the real God his whole life and had a song, My Sweet Lord, starting with hallelujah and had the right God there but then went to a belief of Hare Krishna because he could not find the real God.

I hope those out there listening to me can find the real God.

He exists. He loves you.

He is Jesus Christ who died for you and the Father God that is now called your Father who wants to see you have eternal life someday and be resurrected from the dead and live in the Millenium as a spiritual being in the image of God.

What is your life? Your life is that someday you will be if you want to be, God yourself. We are not going to be like angels floating around on a cloud…we are not going to heaven when we die but we also aren’t going to float around on a cloud and do nothing for all eternity…we are going to be like God…we are God’s, and we are God’s children. We are going to come a life again in a Godly form and a spiritual form, we will be with Christ as a result and God the Father, all of the people of the church of God, those He chose the first time around, and everyone else during the Millenium will have a chance to join us whence the devil is removed and when they have a chance to live a decent, good, Godly life and believe in the God of the Bible. We are to follow the laws of God, then they too will join us as children of God.

That is what is life and what your life can be.

Yes, your life can be one of a wonderful world tomorrow. A time when there is no pain and suffering, no death or joy or sorrow. It is a time that I hope you guys listening to me today, all of you and decide to go to God and ask Him to take over your life and ask God to be a part of your life and you will be a new person. You will be begotten of God and be like an egg in a mother’s womb that has been fertilized by the sperm…a new life!
