There’s a verse in the Bible that says, the trumpet calls Israel’s army to mobilize, but no one listens, or I guess you could say…no one shows up.

This is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth today, and I’m going to talk about a subject that I think needs to be talked about, about today’s events going on with the National Guard going into Washington, D.C., and utilizing our military in ways that it is not meant to do, and we’re seeing the militarization of, like, our cities, maybe, before this comes to an end, but what’s going to happen is we continually put our troops in other countries for nefarious reasons. I’m still not sure they’re not going to be in Ukraine before this is over and done with. 

We still have Washington, D.C., and these are National Guard troops, and they’re not even seasoned to do anything, really, but they’re weekend warriors. I understand that many of the National Guard troops are former, full-time military people, and they have training and things like that, but a lot of them do not, and we saw, back in my day at Kent State University, what can happen when a bunch of kids dressed up like soldiers, National Guard, then confront protesters at Ohio State University, and tragedy resulted, and it changed America’s whole view of the Vietnam War, which was a tragedy for our soldiers in Vietnam, because then they became, like, the enemy of the public, and they had to come home in shame, and to this day, the Vietnam veteran still is treated like no other veteran we’ve ever had. It’s terrible. 

But in Ezekiel 7, 14, people refuse to fight because they’re paralyzed with fear, grief, and overcoming the reality that God’s against them, and if this ever happens to our country, then we’re going to fulfill this Ezekiel 7, 14. Remember, when you see the word Israel, I say this over and over again, this is news, not religion, when you see the name Israel in the Bible, it does not mean the Jews. The Jews, if it was a prophecy, would be Judah.

Look it up for yourself. Don’t trust me. Try it. 

But when you see Israel, you’ve got to find out where Israel is, and I think it’s a provable case that Israel is the United States of America, and all the prophecies concerning Israel are for us, in our day and beyond, as we get closer to the end of this country, because the Bible says this country is going into captivity if we are Israel. So, as a result, the people will be left with devastating punishment following bad leadership, plagues, weather events, and they start mistrusting the leaders in Washington, D.C., and when that happens, then all of a sudden, they no longer want to play soldier for these people anymore. There’s a term that was used a long time ago with the second Bush administration, it was called chicken hawks. 

The phrase chicken hawks is a political term used to describe a person who’s a strong advocate of war, but they themselves don’t want to go to war, nor have they ever gone to war. Combining these two concepts suggests the idea that many of these people who advocate a strong military themselves were never really in the military, nor would they join the military. So, when you look at this Ezekiel 714, the verse itself shows a time when the trumpet is blown, signaling a call to arms, and people preparing for battle, or at least the leadership preparing for battle. 

However, despite the preparations, no one in the public responds. No one shows up to say, we’re not going to do this anymore. We’re not going to join your army.

And this inaction, the people will start attributing to God’s wrath upon what our leaders in this country have done to us. The governor of Maryland, Wes Moore, had to say about Donald Trump, and I thought this, he’s a Democrat, just remember he’s a never-Trumper Democrat, but he had a pretty good thing here. I don’t listen to criticism from chicken hawks, people who talk tough and try to utilize people in uniform, but have never themselves the courage to wear that uniform. 

Our National Guard, and I know what they’re trained on doing, I know what it requires when you’re asking someone to put their life at risk. Well, what the governor was referring to is the fact that Donald Trump himself received a draft determent during the Vietnam War and didn’t have to go, and he actually had a physician’s letter stating that he suffered from bone spurs in his feet. But, you know, this happens a lot of times. 

We have these go-go-go presidents who themselves never served. I give Ronald Reagan credit. Ronald Reagan never served, but he also wasn’t a chicken hawk. 

He didn’t want to put everybody, like John Bolton, for example, and we’ll talk about his situation at another time, but they want to put us in every war there is, but they themselves never went to war. And there is going to come a time in this country, I’m afraid, there is going to come a time when the national leaders are going to call the people to action, and the people are going to sit on their thumbs and do nothing, and they’re not going to go fight for us, and that will be the end of American power, American prestige, and the American military, if that ever does happen, because our leadership is so corrupt, so immoral, and so absolute insane at times in their thought process that eventually the American citizen is going to say, we’re not going to support this anymore. We’re not going to support wars in Vietnam that we can’t win, or Afghanistan that we lose all our soldiers. 

We’re not going to send people to Ukraine to protect the peace when there is going to be peace, and Putin’s made it clear he’s going to attack anybody, including Americans that’s there, because he knows we would ultimately do nothing to stop it, or prevent it, or retaliate against it, except maybe a toothless sanction here or there. And so there is this prophecy that I do believe is for this country. It’s future news. 

I don’t want to make it a news thing. It’s future news. There’s going to come a time when leaders call for Americans to join the military and go to war to protect this country, and the Americans are going to sit on their thumbs and say, not me this time, Jack. 

You find someone else to go, and then maybe we’ll start hiring mercenaries like Rome had to do, and those same mercenaries will then say, look at these fat and happy people. Maybe we should kill them all and take the country over for ourselves, and we can do what they’re unwilling to do and turn it back into a great country. That is a possible scenario.
