Friday Wrap-up with Bob: Memorial Day Weekend May 23, 2025 (Transcript)

Hi, Bob Barney here with the Friday Wrap-Up. Fridays come along fast, don’t they? And we have a lot of stories we’re going to cover today as well as some other points because this weekend is Memorial Day weekend and all week we’ve been putting on the Plain Truth Today broadcast. We’ve been putting on videos about corrupt presidents a lot worse than anybody could ever think Donald Trump ever has been.

I’ll be the first to admit that I think Donald Trump is showing some pretty bad corruption in this time around that I did not see the first time around. But we’ll get into some of the stories of the week and there’s some breaking stories as of even yesterday.

The story that broke yesterday, of course, was this anti-Semite, pro-Palestinian gunman who killed a Jewish person and his fiancée right in front of the Israeli embassy in Washington, D.C. Elias Rodriguez, 30 years old, a pro-Palestinian gunman accused of shooting and killing two diplomats in cold blood, was apparently able to gain entry to the Capitol Jewish Museum when security guards mistook him for a victim, witnesses told Fox News. He allegedly opened fire on a group of four people that were standing outside the museum. So that’s a story that we have on the message board of the Plain Truth that was put up there yesterday. It was breaking.

That’s where a lot of the breaking stories go. And some of the other stories that you could see there for the week that we did was the Biden administration hid deadly health risk reports on COVID vaccine problems. And that’s something we’ve been covering on the Plain Truth now for a long time. But the story says that a congressional investigation found that the White House officials held back warnings about heart damage from COVID vaccines in younger people, even after getting early alerts from other countries, including Israel. Internal emails and memos suggested a planned series of disinformation was put out about the heart problems to young people that was caused by the vaccine, and everyone knew it, that covered it up. And of course, the Plain Truth has been covering that for I don’t know how long, but it has been covering it since basically 2020.And we first put up in 2019, and I did this story a few weeks ago, we put up the story in 2019 that where the COVID disease came from was probably military research based on Israel, Canada, and the American militaries working on that disease. And it was then exported to China. And the Chinese probably had a lot less to do with COVID killing Americans than our own military did in our own Central Intelligence Agency.

And we already seen, if anybody watched the TV last week, Kash Patel on being interviewed about the Jeffrey Epstein murder now says it is clear that Epstein committed suicide. And we know when we see a suicide, well, I got news for you, doctors who do a lot more autopsies than Kash Patel has ever done say that the bone that was broken in Jeffrey Epstein’s neck does not get broken when you hang yourself, only when you’re strangled. But that’s something I guess Patel just wanted to gloss over, which shows you the corruption already in this administration when it comes to both the JFK files, which are not being released very rapidly, or especially the Epstein files. And it makes you wonder who in the Trump administration has problems with the Jeffrey Epstein files. And I think you’re going to find there are names there that they now have to decide, well, we got to protect these people because we have our people in there just along Bill Clinton and the rest of the Democrats. So be prepared that you’re going to see a lot of misinformation and lying coming from the Trump administration as well.

When it comes to subjects, they just do not want the American people to know. And it’s a shame that he campaigned on exposing all of this corruption in Washington. And between the jet deal with Qatar and the money being poured from Saudi Arabia and all these other Muslim countries in the Middle East, and some of the other things going on, it looks like we’re going to have a lot more swamp in DC on the MAGA end as well.

Remember, we told you about Marjorie Taylor Greene, when it turned out she made $180,000 in the stock market in just a little while. When she was questioned about the corruption of it, she said, it’s our turn to make money now. Well, there’s your answer about MAGA senators and congressmen going to Washington to clean anything up.

They become part of it instantly.

Look at Chip Roy from Texas, who said, I’m going to vote against this budget if it increases the deficit. Well, it increases the deficit by some $4 trillion, and he voted for it. Well, we have to stick together. You know, I had a program, oh, I would say five months ago now, maybe longer. To be honest, the budget deficit is not as critical as growth. You can grow yourself out of budget deficits. And so the Republicans had to get in line and vote for what Trump wanted. I said that, but at the same time, that was before Trump did 150% tariff against China and 30 and 40 and 50% tariffs against our allies and destroyed this economy. This economy right now is in shambles. It’s not doing well. We still could end up in a recession. The first quarter of this year was negative GDP. And so that, with this huge tax cut and no taxes, for example, on tips, the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard in my life, by the way, why waitresses should get away paying taxes on their income, but some poor slob making less money a week has to pay full taxes on his income while he’s, you know, sandblasting on the bottom of a boat or something. It just does not make sense and it’s not fair.

It’s the government picking winners and losers.

And you can go on with all these other loopholes in the tax code that the Republicans put through. And they have a history of doing this, my friends. They have a big history. They did it when they controlled Congress with the second George Bush. They just spent themselves into oblivion and they did it again this time around. The Republicans can be just as bad as the Democrats when they’re in full power. They’re just bad. They just want to spend money because the truth of the matter is, all they really care about is their phony baloney jobs, as Mel Brooks said in the Blazing Saddles movie.

They don’t really care about you, me, or what’s going to happen with the deficit. And I’ve come to the conclusion, my brother’s come to this conclusion longer than I have, but I’ve come to the conclusion, and maybe most of Washington has come to the conclusion, that it’s impossible to save this country from collapse. And we just may as well spend ourselves into oblivion until the collapse happens and then deal with it then. And just keep getting reelected and trying to personally gain wealth, as Marjorie Taylor Greene obviously is doing.

And yet another world-shattering type of story that made the front page of the message board is there is all types of rumors right now and beliefs that Israel is getting ready to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities. What that will do to the price of oil and what that could do in the Middle East is unclear. I will say that Israel has a motivation and a purpose now, more than ever, excuse me, to do something because I believe they’re looking at what Trump’s doing in the Middle East and the money he’s getting from these Middle Eastern countries personally, as well as for the country, may have them thinking that they’re going to have to do something by themselves because maybe they’ve been sold out by Donald Trump. And I think that is probably going on inside the inner circles of the Israeli cabinet right now, planning this raid on Iran. I’m not saying that Donald Trump has sold them out. He’s been a very staunch ally of Israel and a very good one. But when Netanyahu came to Washington DC and lowered the tariff to zero on their part, thinking we would do the same, Donald Trump kept the same 10% tariff up, basically telling the Israelis that your loyalty is no more invaluable to us than the 10% tariff we’re going to put on Kuwait and Saudi Arabia and Qatar. And maybe they’ll get a less of a rate if they give me more money than you can.

And that’s really what I think a lot of the people around the world are discussing at this very moment. Is this a presidency for sale? Is this really a presidency that is similar to Jesse Jackson’s greenmail? Do you remember that? When he would go to these companies and say, if you don’t give me and my organization, you know, $20 million, we’re going to protest outside your offices and we’re going to get every black person in America refusing to buy your product. And even NASCAR.I remember when NASCAR paid them off to shut them up and stop it. I would have liked to have seen him picket in front of a NASCAR race, especially back in the 90s. And what would have happened to those picketers when Bubba showed up at the race and had to cross lines of people trying to stop them from entering the racetrack. That would have been a sight to be seen.

But I think that the world leaders today absolutely mistrust the Trump administration of doing what is just and fair. I think there’s a difference between saying I am standing up for the interest of the American people they have been taken advantage of far too long, and we have, but then making exceptions based on who gives money, and especially who makes personal deals with the Trump organization to build golf courses and resorts in these other countries, and they end up with sweetheart deals. Or that big tech companies that paid a million dollars for the inauguration got exemptions from the tariffs when little companies like my own little company did not get an exemption and faced massive price increases on raw materials. If this 30% deal didn’t at least come through, it’s still a disaster. It’s still a disaster for many businesses.

We put up a story, again, it was on the message board. We put up a story, I believe it was Monday, of a woman who’s a small businesswoman who basically gets all her supplies from China, and you can say, well, she deserves what she gets if you’re one of these mega persons. You should be buying American. Well, what she was selling does not even have one company in America making it. I’m familiar with that. I’m selling products that there is not one American company making it, nor is there one American company who wants to make a lot of these resins because of what our EPA has done in the past, and OSHA, and other government regulations, and even the high tax rates. And so she said, you’re not putting me just out of business. You’re putting 19 employees out of business. You’re putting the people who bring me the products out of business. You’re putting longshoremen out of business. You’re putting importers and exporters out of business. These are all American jobs. If you’re worried about American jobs, how about the American jobs in selling import products, products that came from other countries that you sell to Americans? You have Walmart talking about laying off 1,500 people. You have other places like Target losing money. You have all kinds of retailers going to be laying off American workers in order to pay for the cost of these tariffs.

You have these fat cat industrialist tech companies that were given reprieves from these tariffs because they gave money to the administration for inauguration. I’m not saying that’s what it is, but that’s what it smells like. And if it was Jimmy Carter doing it, if it was Barack Obama doing it, and if it was Joe Biden doing it, the same people who see nothing wrong with it today would be all over the internet, Instagram, Facebook, complaining about the corruption of those people. But when Donald Trump does it, they say, well, he’s got a good motive for doing it. It’s just double standard. And I am not somebody with a double standard. I’ll tell you the plain truth, how I see it, and no one changes me by giving me money because we don’t take your money. You can’t pay us to advertise on The Plain Truth. We take no advertisements. We have no one we’re beholden to, but our own conscience and our own God. And that’s the way it should be. And that’s the way I’m going to keep it as long as I can stay and do this show and the plain truth in general.

We’re going to tell you probably what many do not want to hear. And that’s a hard road to hoe because no one wants to hear that everything is going wrong or they’re doing wrong. It’s even worse when you say you’re doing wrong when you support something blindly. When you find fault with something that Barack Obama did, and when President Trump does the same exact thing to AT, and you say it’s okay for Trump to do it, but not for Barack Obama to do it because he’s no good Ye, then you yourself are deceiving yourself and you are a menace to this country as much as any liberal is a menace to this country. And you’re not going to want to listen to what I have to say to you. It’s that simple.

I understand that. But God doesn’t care what you want to hear. God wants people to tell the truth. That’s why this is called the plain truth. We tell you the truth. We tell you what’s in the Bible. We tell you what’s in the news. And we tell you the hypocrisy that we see over and over again. Whenever you open up a newspaper and you see somebody find fault with Bill Clinton, with Bill Clinton’s adulterous affairs and selling the port to China, the LA porch to China that he did, letting him into the WTO, the corruption that came back to the Clinton library. And then Donald Trump, who has a kind of history with women as well as Bill Clinton did, also taking money from gutter in other places like Bill Clinton did, and ruling like a Democrat, passing laws like Democrats, passing a budget like a Democrat would, except Bill Clinton did under a gun to his head, balance the budget with Newt Gingrich. Then you can’t say Bill Clinton was a lousy guy and Donald Trump is the greatest American president ever since George Washington and probably surpasses George Washington. And that’s what I hear from people. I hear this from people constantly. And what I see is a mesmerized people who are totally indoctrinated with propaganda and reality does not hit them. And there’s a good point there because that is the way religion is. Try to talk to somebody that Christmas is pagan or Easter is pagan when they love Christmas and Christmas is the most important holiday in their entire life. They live from January to December planning the next Christmas. And when Christmas comes, everybody’s got to say, Merry Christmas, or they’re offended. Everybody’s got to sit there and worship the tree or they’re offended. These people are not going to get my support and they’re not going to get any pass by me because God is abhorrent to the idea that you’re going to worship a Christmas tree. And that’s what you’re doing when you erect one. I’m sorry to say that, but if you believe the Bible, that’s what the Bible says.

And so this show is not trying to gain an audience. And I always say to my editor who thinks this is going to be a big show someday, it’s never going to be a big show.

After all, Jesus was only able to convert 120 in his lifetime of ministry. I am no Jesus Christ, nowhere close. I’m a nit on a gnat’s butt compared to any of the apostles out there, never alone, not just even try to compare myself to a Jesus Christ as maybe our president tries to do today. But we are what we are. We present the facts as they are. And those who want to hear it, they have a chance. Those who don’t want to hear it are just blind to what’s going to happen. And when it happens, they’re going to say, how come it happened to me? You see it all the time. Matter of fact, a lot of movies that you watch on TV, especially the older ones that are better written, have that theme all the time that people are told what’s going to happen. They refuse to believe what’s going to happen. Then it happens. And then they blame the person that told them what was going to happen in the first place.

Well, we’re back again with the Friday wrap-up and the last thing we’re basically going to talk about in this show is the weekend. It’s a long weekend. It’s Memorial Day weekend and it’s a tribute to the fallen soldiers, or all the soldiers for that matter, who have fought, some died for this freedom that we enjoy today. And it’s not about picnics with the family, though that’s part of it, but it’s about remembering what heroes did for us over many years to keep this nation free, something that many of us are worried about in the short-term future may be a thing of the past if we keep going down the totalitarian road we’re going to. And I would like to mention one thing that it’s a theme of this show constantly, is if you believe the Bible, and I do, you’re going to know that the United States of America is part of lost Israel and that we have a very scary future ahead of us sometime in the future before the end times tribulation that’s going to occur.

And that is, this nation is going to be overrun by the aliens living amongst us, which is already happening and has happened, and that we’re going to fall under the spell of dictatorships and be indoctrinated, or I should say enslaved, by people from Western Europe, which is the King of the North, the Beast of Revelation, the Antichrist, you name it. And America is going into a form of captivity where our freedoms will be lost. And it doesn’t take a rocket scientist, it doesn’t take a historian or a political scientist to look at what’s happened in the last 25 years, starting with the Patriot Act, even before maybe, but starting with the Patriot Act and see how much rights American citizens have lost, how many freedoms they’ve lost in just your lifetime. If you’re listening to the show, you’re probably 20 years old, I doubt if you’re younger, and in your lifetime, if you’re 21 or 22 years old, the freedoms that have been lost in this country, given away, taken by our Congress and by our Supreme Court and our court system and our presidency, that it would boggle your mind if you ever sat down and figured out what rights you don’t have. And you saw that first, like with the January 6th people who were illegally imprisoned without due process, without habeas corpus, a term that I guess our homeland security secretary doesn’t even know the meaning of. That’s a scary thought in itself. But no habeas corpus, no due process for American citizens who were peacefully, and I say peacefully, demonstrating on January 6th about the election results, something they had a right to do. They weren’t burning down the city like these people in the Black Lives Movement were doing, who were called patriots by the liberal left and by Congress people. They were doing their constitutional right, their Bill of Rights of freedom of assembly and protest. And though some of them got out of hand, I would suggest the ones that got out of hand were FBI plants that stirred up people to cause trouble so they could come down, arrest what they would consider the leaders, lock them away without any due process. That was an attempt, and it was a successful attempt, to do away with your constitutional freedoms, and it’s going even further. And Donald Trump is not opening up constitutional freedoms.

When he’s saying he wants to suspend habeas corpus, he wants to send people to prisons and stuff without due process of a court system, he is a person who is as much of a threat to you today, any American citizen, as any Democrat has ever been in your lifetime. And that is, once you start taking away the Bill of Rights from the American people and from people living in this country, you are on a slippery slope to enslavement. And I’m afraid the Bible, which predicts our enslavement, it’s going to someday happen. It’s not going to happen. Donald Trump’s not going to become a dictator. He may want to be, I don’t know, but he’s not going to become one. American people will not have that. We will be conquered. We will be conquered most likely by Europe, indoctrinated by them, under them, enslaved by them. We will work for their businesses, and America will act like the nation of Israel had to act in captivity under Babylon. That’s what’s going to happen. That’s what the Bible says is going to happen. I’m sorry it’s bad news, and I’m sorry it’s news you don’t want to hear. But it is the plain truth. It’s what’s going to happen.

But you can help yourself, you can help your family, and you can help this country, because God listens to prayers. He listens to your prayers if you pray for your family and for yourself, number one. But if you pray for this country, and enough people in this country pray and ask God to intervene and help this country and forgive us our sins, he will heal us for a while. He will prevent what’s going to happen. There is a belief, a school of belief, I should say, and some people disagree with this, but that the exodus from Egypt happened 30 years after is supposed to, because God said in 400 years the people would come out of Egypt, but it took 430 years. What was that 30-year difference? And there’s all kinds of theories. I’m not giving you what my theory is or anything like that. I’m just giving you a possibility that some people believe, and that is because of Moses’ disbelief and didn’t want to do things, and he ran away from his responsibilities, it took God an extra 30 years to get the job accomplished that he planned to do in 400 years, because God does not force you to do what you don’t want to do.

Eventually, if you refuse to listen to God long enough, God will remove you from working for him one way or the other. He was about ready to do that with Moses. You can read this story where he was ready to kill Moses for not circumcising his children, and his wife had to do it and throw the bloody knife at his feet and call him a bloody husband, because God, it says in your Bible, the same one I’m reading, says God was going to strike Moses dead for not doing so. So it shows you a little bit of a problem that God had with Moses in the beginning, and it may explain that 30-year different timeline that was predicted Israel would be in Egypt and the time they got out of Egypt.

I don’t know, that’s not a philosophy of mine, but it’s an interesting point. But the point that I’m trying to make here is you can delay God from doing something. You read that again in the book of Jonah, when he was told to go to Nineveh and tell those people to pray and ask for forgiveness, or he would destroy the city. He didn’t want to do it. He ran away, got swallowed by the big fish, but then ended up going back there, telling them they were going to burn to death and God was going to destroy their city. Happy to be able to say that, he was one of these prophets that wanted to see the destruction happen to Nineveh. And when it didn’t happen, the people heard his message, turned from their evil ways, prayed to God for forgiveness, he forgave them, and they weren’t destroyed. It was a prophecy that was avoided by the people doing something. Now, that ticked off Jonah, by the way, because he wanted to see the people all die, and then God had to set Jonah straight by saying, why do you want me to kill these people? They returned to me.I don’t want to see anybody die. And Jonah didn’t like that story, but that’s the story of Jonah. It’s a very short book in the Bible, and I would not recommend reading it in the New King James or the King James.

I would get a living Bible, the Amazon Bible of the plain truths, red letter Bible would be a great read, and just read it as a novel, as a story. It’s about 15 pages long, and you will get a lot of information from that, that you will be surprised about. You will be surprised it’s even in the Bible. I know everybody knows the story of Jonah and the big whale and all that, but they don’t really know the real story of the book of Jonah. And so I’m asking you, take the time maybe one of these days to read it. Well, like I said, this is Memorial Day weekend. Tomorrow we have a Sabbath show. It’s going to be one of my shows tomorrow. And then tomorrow night we have another video from that same series we showed last week, where it was lifted up and it was the story of how Moses saved the people from being bit by vipers because of their sin. And he made a pole with a serpent wrapped around a snake. And if they looked at it, they would survive the snake bites. And Jesus used that same symbolism when he was talking to Nicodemus. The movie did a great job. It was a 30 minute movie. It did a great job because Jesus said like Jonah, I’m sorry, Jonah, I got Jonah in the brain, like Moses and the people, I have to be lifted up like that serpent and saved in order for the people to be saved from death and turned into life. And that was a great video. Well, this is another segment about Lazarus and the rich man, or the rich man and Lazarus, I think it’s called. And it really goes over the idea of a parable that Jesus gave and the true meaning of it. And it’s going to be a good watch to do. And that’s tomorrow night at 7.11 PM. Sunday, we have a special Memorial Day four hour, it’s nobody’s going to watch it. And nobody’s going to be, most people are going to be at the beach or at their backyard. But if you wanted to turn it on, even on your phone or on your iPad, never mind your computer, or if you have a TV and cast to it, it’s going to be a cartoon of fireworks and people having fun on Memorial Day for four hours with music. And I just put it up because like I said, maybe eight people will watch the thing.

And then Monday, which is Memorial Day, we’re going to have the last installment for the time being anyway, of the most corrupt presidents. We end with Barack Obama and some of the things he got away with that people just seem to have forgotten. And so I hope everyone has a very good Sabbath tomorrow. I keep promoting the Sabbath day because that’s the day you’re supposed to follow God. And of course, if you’re lucky and your boss gave you the three days off for Memorial Day weekend, and you have Monday off, most people I think will, I hope it’s very safe. I hope you do not find any tragedies. A lot of people sometimes get hurt on vacation time. Stay safe. Hope you listen to some of these broadcasts, read the Plain Truth, but basically have a very happy and safe Memorial Day weekend. Remember next Thursday is Pentecost.
