Hosea, America, and Our Future (Transcript)

Hello, this is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com, the one source to go to to find out what’s happening in today’s world and maybe what God has tothink about it. And that is going to be a subject that I’m going to talk about today, because what I am going to do, and hopefully not that many people are going to take issue with this, because I have been saying for a long time, and there’s been many before me, this is not something I

came up with. You can go back and do a lot of web searches.

I know the Armstrongs were part of the Anglo-Israelism, but it was long before them. I think I

told the story one time about how these people in England, way back in the 1880s, when Queen

Victoria was queen, and they discovered the secrets, really, of who lost Israel was. And they

went to the queen and said, do you realize that we’re all part of lost Israel, and yet you are a

descendant of David, according to the Bible? And she goes, yes, I’ve already known that.

And so royalty knows it, but not too many other people do. But the book of Hosea is a minor

prophet. Then when people read it, they just think it’s old history, but it’s not.

When you understand, and I really do recommend you reading the entire, it’s very short, it’s

eight chapters or something like that. When you read the book of Hosea, you will see it’s really

a prophecy that has never occurred up until this time. It has not yet occurred. Many of the things 

and the accusations that God is making against his people are happening right now and before, 

but the actual punishments talked about the time frame is of the end time. Hosea was written for the time 

after Christ came and left, and during the time right before the Great Tribulation. What I’m going to do is 

I’m going to use a little bit of what you call an author’s license here, and I’m going to change some of the 

words of Hosea to represent whothe peoples really are being mentioned.

Remember, we’ve talked about this in this program and in the pages of our online magazine

called theplaintruth.com, that the people of Israel, lost Israel, has nothing to do with the Jewish

people or the Jewish state which calls themselves Israel. They have no right to the name of

Israel. Any good Bible commentary will show that.

Look into the Kings and Chronicles of your Bible. Look at the Bible maps in most Bibles today,

and you will see that the kingdom where the Jews lived was called Judah, and Jerusalem was a

part of Judah. And you will see wherever the tribes of Joseph was is called Israel, because we

saw way back in the time of Jacob blessing Joseph’s two sons, Ephraim and Manasseh.

He blessed those two sons and made them tribes of Israel, replacing the tribe of Joseph with

the two tribes of Ephraim and Manasseh. And the number of tribes of Israel went from 12 to 13,

and Ephraim, the youngest, being the 13th. And we’ve already discovered and we’ve talked

about to ad nauseum, 13 is the number of the United States of America.

That’s why there’s 13 all over your dollar bill, all over the flag, all over the great seal. We are the

13th nation of Israel, the younger brother of Manasseh, who would replace Joseph as the 12th

tribe. And so what I did, I took the liberty, every place that says Ephraim in Hosea, I put

America.

Everywhere it says Israel, I put Great Britain in America, because Israel in whole refers to any of

the two tribes of Joseph. Now granted, some of the other lost 10 tribes, Dan, which is Denmark,

Reuben, which is France, Naphtali, which is Holland in the Netherlands, people like that, they’re

part of lost Israel, but they do not have claim to the name. The only two tribes or two nations

with the claim to the name of Israel, according to the Bible, is the United States of America and

Great Britain.

And there’s many articles to prove who we are. We won’t get into it in this program, only to say

one thing. When Jacob promised that Manasseh, the oldest, would be lesser in power than the

youngest, did that not occur between Great Britain, our older brother, and ourselves becoming

even more powerful? And the prophecy went on to say that Great Britain, Manasseh, would be

a colonizing nation that would overflow the world.

And there was a time where the old saying was, the sun never set on the English flag, because

they had colonies in India, and in Asia, and China, and Africa, and all over even the Middle East.

They, to this day, own Gibraltar. And whenever the word Judah is used in the book of Hosea, I

actually replaced it with the Jewish nation who calls themselves Israel, because that is who

Hosea is talking about during the end times, because there is a difference between who Israel

is in biblical prophecy, and who the Jewish people are, Judah, in biblical prophecy.

And anyone takes any biblical dictionary, or any good internet search, and realizes that the

northern tribes were called Israel, and with tribes wherever Jews are, are called Judah. And in

fact, there is a line or two in the Bible that you can read that says, and the Jews are at war with

the house of Israel to this day. Figure that one out, if you think that Israel is just nothing but a

bunch of Jews.

So here goes Hosea 4, and I’m going to start reading this. People of Great Britain and America,

listen to the Lord’s message. The Lord has this against you, you who live in the land.

The people are not true. They’re not loyal to their God, nor do those who live in the land even

know their God. Cursing, lying, stealing, adultery is everywhere.

One murder follows after another. Because of this land dries up, and its people are dying, even

the wild animals, and the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea are beginning to die. That’s

pollution, maybe.

My people will be destroyed because they have no knowledge. You have refused to learn, so I

will refuse to let you be priests to me. You have forgotten the teachings of your God.

The priests are as wrong as the people are, and I will punish both of them for what they have

done. I will repay them for the wrong they have done. They will eat, but not have enough.

They will have sexual relations with prostitutes, and they will not have children because they

will be left barren in the land. Going on, verse 15, Great Britain and America, you act like a

prostitute, but do not be guilty towards the Lord, or go up to Beth-Aph. Don’t make promises,

saying, as surely as the Lord lives.

The people of Great Britain and America are stubborn, like stubborn cows or lambs in the open

country. The United States has chosen to worship its idols instead of its God, so I’m going to

leave them alone. When they finish their drinking, they will be completely give themselves up to

the prostitutes that they love to disgrace themselves with.

Jeffrey Epstein types, huh? They will be swept away as by, like by a whirlwind, and their

sacrifices will bring only shame from them. Hosea 5 goes on, listen you priests, pay attention

people of Great Britain and America, listen you royal family, because you will all be judged. You

have done many evil things, so I will punish you.

I know you, America, and you are not hidden from me. I know you, America, because you have

played the whore. You are defiled.

Now that Great Britain and America is acting like a prostitute, it has made itself unclean to me,

and they will not give up their deeds or return to me. They are determined to be unfaithful to

me, because they do not know me. The pride of Great Britain and America testifies to my face.

Great Britain and America shall stumble in their guilt. The Jewish nation, who calls themselves

Israel, will also stumble along beside them, because they are not true to the Lord. They are

children who do not belong to him, so their false worship is destroying both them and their

land.

Blow the horn and the trumpet sound. Give a warning. America, you will be ruined on the day

of your punishment.

I’m telling you the truth. The leaders of the Jewish nation that call themselves Israel are like

those who steal from another person’s property. What it’s saying is they’re stealing other

people’s property, not only their own. And America is crushed by its punishment, because it’s 

decided to follow after idols instead of their God. I’m like a moth to America, like a rot to the people 

of the Jewish nation who calls. themselves Israel. When America saw its illness, and the Jewish 

nation saw its wounds, and they sent their leaders to Germany and elsewhere, they didn’t come to 

me to be healed or to me to have their wounds healed.

They went to other nations of the world that they trusted ahead of me. I will be like a lion to

Great Britain and America, a young lion to the Jewish nation. I will attack them and devour them

and tear them to pieces because of their sins against me, and I will drag them off, and no one

will be able to take them and save them. Then I will go back to my place until their suffering and guilt is over. 

In the verse, Hosea chapter 6 goes on, Come, let us return to the Lord, you will say, for he has torn us apart. 

After two days he will revive us.

On the third day he will give us rest. Some people, by the way, as a side note, think that that is a

prophecy, that after 2,000 years, a day is like a thousand years to the Lord, it will be 2,000 years

after Christ’s ministry, and he left this earth, will he return in the third thousandth year, and

that begins the millennium. I do not know if I agree with that or not, I’m just making a case that

many people say after two days he will revive us, meaning the lost tribes of Israel and Judah,

and the millennium will start in the third thousandth year, because it does say in the Bible that

a day to God is a thousand years to man.

Let us know, let us press on to know the Lord, says the people, and he will be sure to deliver us.

But what should I do with you, says God, to America? What should I do with you, O Judah, you

Jewish nation? Your love is like a morning cloud, like the dew that comes early and then fades

away. Therefore I have hemmed in the prophets, and I have slain them with the words of my

mouth, and their judgment goes forth day and night.

For I desire steadfast love, not your sacrifice, the knowledge of God, not your offerings. But like

Adam, they have all sinned against the covenant. You notice that Adam sinned against the

covenant, because the old covenant took place with Adam, not with Moses, just a side note

here.

But like Adam, they all transgressed against the covenant. They all have dealt faithlessly with

me. They’re all like evil robbers. They have blood on their hands. They lie in wait for someone, 

including the priest, who band together and murder their own flocks. In the land of the 

United States of America, I have seen such horrible things.

America’s whoredom is there, and she is totally defiled. For you, O Jewish nation, who calls

yourself Israel, the Jews, a harvest is appointed for you as well, and I will eventually restore you

and all of my people after my wrath. And in Hosea 7, whenever I want to heal America, all I can

see is her sin and wickedness.

People cheat each other. They break into houses and steal. They rob people in the streets.

Side note here, how many times do we watch the news? We see all the murders. We see what’s

going on in these cities where Donald Trump wants to send a national guard because the cities

are full of corruption and violence and thievery and robbery and rapes and mayhem. That’s

America today.

They don’t realize, going on verse 2 here, they don’t realize that I remember all their evil things

that they do. Now their sins surround them, and their sins are in my presence constantly. They

make kings happy with their wicked things that they do. They make officials happy with their lies

 that they tell. They all commit adultery. They all are like a heated oven, an oven so hot that the baker 

doesn’t have the fan to flame itself when he’s trying to make the bread.

I don’t know what that means, but that’s the translation. Verse 8, America mixes with other

nations. Do we not do so? America, you are like a half-baked loaf of bread.

Foreigners are using up your strength, but you don’t realize it because you’re too stupid. You

have become gray-haired, old, but you don’t even realize it. You still think you’re young.

Your arrogance testifies against you, but even after all of this, you don’t turn to the Lord your

God or look for me for your help. No, America, you are like a silly senseless dove. You call for all

the nations of the world to help you, not me, says the Lord.

You don’t pray to me sincerely. Even through the whole city, people cry in their beds and make

cuts on their bodies and pray to me, but I will not listen because they turned against me and

their prayers are not heard. They are like a defective bow.

Their officials will die in battle because of the curses I place upon them, and they will be

mocked by the world, and I think we’re starting to be mocked now by the world, and we’re

going to be right back after this brief timeout to explain what I just read and what it all means.

Well, for the last part of the show, I’m going to go over what I just read, the prophecies of

Hosea, that you can read for yourself, and like I said, when you do, just transpose whenever it

says Israel, that is Great Britain and America, or especially in Hosea, it’s merely talking about

Ephraim more than Great Britain. Ephraim is America. Remember, Manasseh is Great Britain,

and it’s mainly having a problem with the Jewish people, who call themselves Israel, and they’re

not Israel, by the way, they never had a claim to the name, when the great schism happened

after the reign of Solomon, and his son was so rough on the people of Israel that they decided

to break apart the kingdom into two.

Ten tribes broke away from the the Davidic kingship, and those ten tribes went, are called the

northern tribes of Israel. Where Jerusalem, and where the Jews lived, they called themselves

Judah. So, when after World War II, and the Jewish people were given their own homeland, they

decided to call their name Israel, when they had no right to that name, but they thought they

were fulfilling the prophecy of Ezekiel 37, which they were not doing in any way, and even at

the time, many very devout Jews who understood biblical prophecy, and understood the Old

Testament, and who the nations were of the Old Testament, they protested against the name

Israel, because they knew their homeland should be called Judah, as it was in the days of the

great Jewish Judah nation that existed for almost a thousand years, by the way, before it was

finally destroyed by the Romans.

So, it is important that if you are going to believe the Bible, now if you don’t believe in the Bible,

I don’t have an argument with you. You can believe what you want to believe. There’s nothing

that says you have to be a Christian, in my viewpoint.

There’s nothing that says you can’t be a Muslim, or you can’t be an atheist, or you can’t be an

agnostic, but I do have a problem with people who call themselves Bible-believing Christians,

who therefore don’t believe in this, the very words on the Bible that they say they believe in,

and when you understand the Bible, you cannot come away with certain cherished notions that

most mainstream Christian religions and the mainstream Judaism of today comes away with.

Israel is not the Jewish people, never have been, never will be. The Jewish people are a nation

within the nation of Israel as a whole.

They’re only one of 13 tribes, and they are a very important tribe as they were promised the

Messiah. The Messianic line was promised through Judah, and Joseph was promised to be the

greatest two nations to ever exist on the face of the earth, and who can, looking at history,

deny the fact that the two most powerful nations that has ever ruled the earth is not Rome, is

not Babylon, was not Alexander the Great. It was Great Britain, and who was later replaced by

the United States of America as the greatest, most powerful, most prosperous nation that has

ever existed on the face of this earth.

Unfortunately, we’re not there today because of what I just read and the prophecies of Hosea

and many other prophecies of the Bible that is warning America and Americans that we have

lost our way. We have turned to idol worshiping. We have turned against God.

We have actually turned to the God of Baal, but we’ve put in the Christian name on it, so

therefore we take all of the old ceremonies of Baal worship, Old Testament paganism, and we

just put Christ in it, thinking it’s okay to do. So therefore, we take Ishtar, the goddess of spring,

who was married to a man named Tammuz, and who was a false Christ, by the way, who

claimed to die and was resurrected from the dead, but Ishtar is our Easter, and we still follow

an Easter sunrise worship to this day, most churches who claim to be Christians. I don’t, so I

shouldn’t say we, but I’m just trying to be inclusive, I guess, here.

People who follow Easter, and most of them go to these sunrise worshipers, all they got to do is

go to the eighth chapter of Ezekiel and find out what God has to think about in Easter

celebration. Easter has nothing to do with God’s message, neither does Christmas. Christmas,

Saturniania of the Romans, is an absolute pagan day. It may even be the day that Satan the devil 

was created. It certainly was not the day Jesus Christ was born. You can prove that in the Bible.

It’s been proven, just any good web search will show you that the time frame could not have

been in December in Jerusalem. The shepherds would not have been still in the field, and when

even, when you read the Gospels, when the wise men show up, the wise men did not show up

at the birth of Christ, like you see these Nativity scenes this time of year, especially, they’ll start

coming out, and you see Mary and the baby and Joseph, and you see the shepherds there, and

you see the three wise men. Well, the three wise men did not show up to up to two years after

the birth of Christ.

Read it for yourself, two years, and that is why when Herod the Great was questioning these

magi, when did they first see the star, and they told him he ordered the children of Bethlehem

to be murdered, the male children to be murdered, and what was his decree? That all male

children under the age of two had to be murdered, and that is because it was two years before

the magi got to see the baby Jesus, not the infant Jesus, in the house. Read the translation, and

you will see that the wise men came to a house. They didn’t come to a manger.

This is many of the Christmas traditions that are really Baal-worshipping traditions that became

the Roman pagan religion called Mithra, which had a holy trinity, by the way. That’s where you

get the trinity from. The trinity is not in the Bible.

There is no such thing as three gods, right? Now there are two, and they are made up of the

Holy Spirit. That’s it. Like there are not three sexes of humans, even though modern-day

Supreme Court justices can’t tell the difference, but there are male and female.

They’re not male, female, and it, because you know, three times even in the King James Version

of the Bible, the Holy Spirit in the New Testament is rendered it, not he, and it should always be

rendered it, because the Holy Spirit is not a person. The Holy Spirit is the essence of God the

Father and Jesus Christ, and it’s a very good point that if the Holy Spirit is a personage of the

Godhead, and it was the Holy Spirit that impregnated Mary, then Jesus was praying to the

wrong Father when he was praying to the Father God, the third part of the so-called trinity,

when the Holy Spirit was really his Father. I mean, it sounds kind of ridiculous when you think

about it, but it’s actually logical when you really do think about it, because the whole concept of

the Christmas traditions that we’ve been filled with in our minds is total paganism, Baal

worship, and what you read in the book of Hosea is really God’s disgust with our country and

how paganized we become, how immoral we have become, especially in the last, I would say,

40-50 years with the influence of Hollywood and the liberals, as well as just people who do not

worry about robbing others, and robbing others, by the way, is when you want what they have,

and you take things that is not rightfully yours.

It’s not just stealing something at gunpoint or knife point, but the robberies, the rapes, the sex

crimes, the total adulterous mood of this nation. People think of homosexuality, and they say,

well, anybody can do what they want to do in their own bedroom. Well, that’s legally true, and it

should be legally true, but a nation who has no morals has got a problem coming, and that

problem is what this book of Hosea is about.

You might have the legal right by the United States Constitution to do a lot of things, but the

one thing you don’t have the legal right to do is to do the things that God does not want you to

do and think you can get away with it, because you are not going to get away with it. Read

these prophecies. This is news.

This is not religion, my friends. This is the news that you need to hear, because it’s going to

happen maybe in your day, maybe in your children’s day, maybe sooner than you expect, but

it’s still going to happen to you even in the future judgment day that you will all, we will all face.

The problem that I have with most religions, so-called Christian religions, but even the Jewish

religions and many of the others, is people think that if you just believe in God, and you do the

best you can do, and you continue living the lifestyle that you live, you might have boyfriends or

girlfriends outside of your marriage, you may cheat a little bit, your next-door neighbor might

steal his newspaper, anything you can think of.

The Ten Commandments are in force. The fourth commandment, the Sabbath day, is still in

force, but Americans today have become stubborn when it comes to God. We want to go into

debt.

We want to rob from others to pay that debt. It’s called income taxes that require half of the

people of the country not to even pay them, but they still get big checks from the federal

government that is stealing from their neighbor, and we think God has no problem with it as

long as we go to church on a Sunday. Not the fact we’re going to church on the wrong day,

even if you were doing it on a Sabbath day, the Saturday, God would still not accept you.

We have become a nation of evil people, and our leaders just reflect it. I’m sorry. I know a lot of

people want to blame the Republicans, and a lot of people want to blame the Democrats, and a

lot of people want to blame Donald Trump for all our ills, or they wanted to blame Barack

Obama or Joe Biden for all our ills, or they want to play blame the press, or they want to blame

Hollywood.

Well, they all have a part of the problem. I won’t say they don’t, but the biggest problem is

within the American people, and that is what God is saying in Hosea. It is our people that God

has the problem with more than our leaders.

It’s our religious leaders he has more problem with than our secular leaders, for that matter,

because he sees the hypocrisy of those so-called Christian ministers and priests that are lying in

the name of God, and they themselves have retribution coming to them as well. The plain truth

is all about trying to bring to the people that are listening and reading the pages of the plain

truth what the news of the day is today and what it will be tomorrow. People go to the weather

department of their TV program or their news program or their paper to see what tomorrow’s

weather is going to be.

Well, and that’s mostly wrong, but it’s better to know what tomorrow’s news is going to be,

especially if it affects you and your loved ones, and I can guarantee you eventually it will. The

United States is in for a major fall. To this day, we could fall on our knees as a country.

We could pray fast and go to God and repent of our sins, and this nation would be saved.

Overnight, it would be saved, but I’m afraid we’re not going to do it. I hope I’m wrong.

This is the greatest wish I have. I have grandchildren. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m afraid that I am

not.
