Friday’s Wrap-Up with Bob: December 6, 2024 (Transcript)

This is Bob Barney with our first Friday wrap-up in two weeks. We didn’t have one last week because it was Thanksgiving weekend, and we just had some regular programming that was generic in nature. I did this because I think everybody was probably out Black Friday shopping or getting ready for small business Saturday. I know my company, the paint company that my wife and I own, we had a major sale over the weekend. We did Thanksgiving Day, Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and Cyber Monday all wrapped up in one sale.

So everybody, in my opinion, is feeling pretty darn good about the future of the economy now that Donald Trump won the presidency. You’re even seeing Democrats, and you’re seeing people who are identified as liberals, pretty much getting on board and admitting that the last four years have been a disaster. They may not come out and say that after a Democrat, but you hear it when they’re talking about how we need to have less regulation. You had Jeff Bezos the other day being interviewed, said it’s time that American government stops all this regulation of businesses, especially small businesses, and he is willing to help the Trump administration hone in on and deregulate a lot of the regulations. Also, there is the very liberal owner of the Washington Post, and we actually saw him backing up a little bit before the election when he would not allow them to endorse any candidate.

2:59 What you’re seeing now is that many Democrat operatives and politicians are realizing not the liberal left, not the wacko AOC left out there. I said right from the beginning, it was my opinion that the hierarchy of the Democratic Party really wanted to see Kamala Harris go down in flames. They wanted to kill the head of the snake of liberalism, of wacko communist liberalism, not old-fashioned democratic liberalism, but of the communist left-wing communist liberal liberalism of Tim Walz, of Kamala Harris, of AOC, of the squad, and so many other people that have taken control of the Democratic Party. I think what you saw was an effort from the Clintons especially and probably more than the Obamas, but Bill Clinton especially, really went to war with this woke Democrat communist party. Just yesterday, he really tongue-lashed Democrats for not listening to the voters and not being the Democrats of old and caring about the working slob. That’s basically the case and what has happened, it is the working person who voted for Donald Trump and voted against Joe Biden.

I have said this before, I don’t think that this election was the mandate for Donald Trump that some people think it was. If that was the case, he would have had more coattails, he would have been able to win over more congressmen, and we just still have that one majority in the House, and more than three senators. In my opinion, all of the senators in the swing states, and only the McCormick in Pennsylvania won against Casey, but all of the other six Republican candidates were far better than a Democrat candidate’s incumbents, most of them, that were already in power. If the people really were rejecting all of Democrats, then they should have lost the election, and we should have had 56, 57 Republican seats in the Senate, which would have made Donald Trump’s job much easier in the coming four years. Right now, the Trump people have to really think about the 2026 elections of Congress and a third of the Senate, because it is very possible, mainly in off-year elections, never forget this, mainly in off-year elections, the party in power in the White House loses congressional seats and Senate seats. Now, it might only be one or two Senate seats, and the Senate probably will stay in control of the Republicans in 2026, but if they lose just one- or two-House seats, which is basically the rule that’s going to happen, they’re in big trouble.

So the Republicans in general, and Donald Trump in specific, really has to come through in the next year and a half in order to convince more Americans to vote for the MAGA reforms.

4:51 Now, I do believe in the business world, this is not necessarily the working guy’s world, who I think a lot are white men, honestly, and some of the Black younger men, and definitely the Hispanic younger men, or the Hispanic entrepreneur, are all on board with Donald Trump. And they see a booming economy like we had in 2017, and 2018, and 2019, before COVID, we had one of the best economies in my lifetime, and I’m not a youngster. It was even better than Ronald Reagan’s miraculous turnaround. Of course, Ronald Reagan had a lot more problems than Donald Trump. Donald Trump might have had bad media, but he also had Newsmax, and he had RAV TV, and he had America News Network, and he also had Fox, to a certain extent, backing him up.

When Ronald Reagan was president in the 1980s, there was no conservative media on TV. There was not even a Rush Limbaugh on the radio. Donald Trump had to face liberalism all by himself, because most of the people in his own party were not for him and that’s the plain truth.

6:10 So what we’re going to see here in the next, in my opinion, the next year and a year and a half, the Republicans have got to get on the ground running, and they have to stick together. I’m worried about the Republicans sticking together, because the Republican diet, as I have mentioned many times, is about eating their own. We saw that in the past, and yet thus far we haven’t necessarily seen it. I’m happy Matt Gaetz was turned down and withdrew his name. He would have been a terrible choice for Attorney General. Pam Bondi is so much better. But I think that we’re going to see when it comes to the Robert Kennedy Jr., when it comes to Kristi Noem, when it comes to Pete Hegseth and Tulsi Gabbard, will all the Republicans stick together and make sure that they stay in the Trump camp? I’m afraid, we already pretty much know that possibly Collins and Murkowski, what’s that, Maine and Alaska probably are not going to be in line. But now we have 53 votes, so we’re probably okay there.

The other important thing is that Trump can get a few more Supreme Court nominees in this next four years. Maybe some of them will be retiring Republicans and Republican leaning Supreme Court people like Clarence Thomas. It is important that we save those seats. There’s a possibility that a couple of the Democrats on the Supreme Court may also retire in the next four years. If they don’t, in my opinion, if Trump can do only 50% of what he claims he can do, and if he accomplishes 50% of his goals, I do believe maybe he’ll have trouble in 2026. But I believe by 2028, his successor, which probably right now looks like it’s going to be Vice President J.D. Vance. I think he’s going to be a hard person to beat in the Republicans, even if they primary him in 2028. He’s a very talented individual. In many regards, I think he could out-Trump Trump and be more likable than Trump with women and other people that just tend to not like Donald Trump. I think he’s going to be a very good chance of winning in another four years and he definitely going to be replacing some Supreme Court Democrats, Supreme Court justices. This is very important, especially if they’re young enough, that we could have a court that keeps America in line for the next 20, 25 years.

We need that to keep America from declining, which eventually, you know, if you listen to the show long enough, you know, it’s going to decline, but it would be really nice if we could forestall the inevitable for a while and get God back on our side.

We need to get God back on our side. 

If we don’t have God, we don’t have a country for very much longer.

8:45 Many people think, and I listened to the Megyn Kelly show with Pete Hegseth, and he actually redeemed himself to me. It turns out that he claims he’s an avowed Christian now. There are a lot of phony Christians out there. You know, we talk about it all the time, about false Christianity, but I’ll take him at his word. I’ll take him at his word that he believes that Jesus Christ has changed his life. He admitted that he was a pretty nasty person with women and fooling around on wives and girlfriends and had a low self-esteem in the past. But he also said, you know, if God can forgive him, why can’t the American people and he had a point there. So, I’ll stand on the sidelines here, and I still think he might be a bit under-talented, but then just saying that, the guy we have in the defense department now leading it is probably the biggest moron that I’ve ever known in any defense department.

So if we can survive through this guy who had prostate cancer and never even told the president or any of the American people or even the chiefs of staff, then, you know, this guy, Pete Hegseth, is going to be 10 times better than what we got today.

In fact, every single person you can think of in the Biden cabinet is going to be replaced by somebody a thousand times better. I’ve never seen a cabinet of any president, including Barack Obama’s or Jimmy Carter’s, filled with such riffraff, trash, and absolute evil people.

10:00 The next subject I wanted to discuss, and I’m not going to talk any more about who’s going to make it of Trump’s appointees and who’s not, because this is going to play out really in 2025, not during the Christmas break, which is coming up real quick for all the senators and most of the politicians in Washington. They’re itching to get home probably by the 10th or 11th of the month, which is not far away.

We’re also going to have a lot of it on theplaintruth.com and on the Message Board. This weekend is the weekend of a Pearl Harbor remembrance. It has been 83 years and so we’re going to have a special tribute on Pearl Harbor in remembrance. There are very few. I think the last, it was just a handful of soldiers that were alive during Pearl Harbor that’s still alive today. We’ve lost most of them over the years. It’s many years ago. Most of them would have to be in their 90s, even 100, if any are that old.

Tonight, for example, the 7:11 broadcast is going to be a Pearl Harbor show. Tomorrow in the morning, we are going to have a Sabbath show, like always, but then noontime and 7:11 p.m., we’re going to have special Pearl Harbor shows, including, which I always like to play every year. We also will probably have it also on the Plain Truth’s main page and we’ll probably also have it on the Message Board, is FDR’s speech to Congress on, I believe it was December the 9th, declaring that a state of war was extant between the United States of America and Japan.

It was a time in America where this country pulled together.

14:50 You had a very liberal president who did not like private enterprise. He was pretty close to being a communist himself, or at least a socialist, but he realized when the war started, he needed the likes of Henry Ford and all the industrialists that he went to war with, because the United States of America could not fight that war without all these industrialists’ support, and turning their machines, their industrial machinery, into a war machinery, where Ford stopped making cars, General Motors stopped making cars, they started making airplanes and tanks and jeeps, and every business that was making plowshares before now were making pruning hooks and spears and swords for the war, in a biblical kind of lingo. We can give FDR credit for a couple of things with the war. He made sure that America, when it entered the war, took over the lead and the command of both divisions, both Europe and the Pacific. He was never going to allow American soldiers to be under the domination of the English, French, or Australian generals like we do today when we have some idiots in NATO controlling the lives and the destiny of our soldiers. Our soldiers are who have to listen to orders from people that are not even American. FDR would not tolerate it.

He put General Douglas MacArthur in charge of the Pacific, and he was supreme Allied commander. Every other general from Australia, New Zealand, and even England, South Africa, all of those fell under the authority of Douglas MacArthur. The same in Europe, all of the soldiers in Europe, be it the British, Montgomery, and I’m trying to think of some other ones off the top of my head, de Gaulle in France who was in exile, all of those were under the authority of Dwight Eisenhower, who would become the president in the 1950s, one of the better presidents we’ve ever had.

Eisenhower was a very good pencil pusher, and that’s really what he was. He wasn’t a warrior; he was more of an administrator. In fact, General MacArthur said to his wife that when he was nominated for president, meaning Eisenhower, his wife said, what kind of a president do you think he’d make? And MacArthur, in his egotistical way that was only Douglas MacArthur, said, I think he’ll make a fine president. He was the best clerk that ever worked under me. If you don’t understand MacArthur, you wouldn’t understand the humor in that but Dwight Eisenhower was his clerk and worked for MacArthur. He had said it as a kind of a slap back to MacArthur after that comment was, he spent four long years under the general learning dramatics because MacArthur was the great actor. He played a part in World War II before and after, and he realized the part was as big as the actual real deal. Moving into yet another area that we touched on in the last week, but mainly in the last several months, and I like to call it World War III Watch.

I want to make this clear because it’s very important in this day and age when you have a lot of people thinking that World War III is the war talked about in the Bible as the war of Armageddon and the war that Christ returns.

17:54 It does not necessarily mean that. In my opinion, it does not mean that. World War III may be followed by a World War IV and a World War V before Christ returns. There is a real threat of a World War III in the immediate future. It is my hope, and I think it should be the hope of everyone and included in our prayers that we offer to our living God in heaven, that Donald Trump is able to avoid the World War III. That he can thwart all that the Biden administration has done in their power to make WWIII happen. I think it’s possible that people like Putin and people like the leaders of Iran and the little missile guy in North Korea, as Donald Trump calls him, and some of the terrorists around the world, I think, realize there is a new marshal in town. I won’t keep using the word new sheriff in town. There’s a new marshal in town because a marshal has a little more power than the sheriff in the Old West. Maybe not in actuality, in reality, but that was a joke.

I think that a lot of the bad guys around the world realize there is holy hell to pay if they get on Donald Trump’s bad side. If what we saw this week was any indication, one of the things we did see was that he is calling for the release of all American hostages by anybody holding them. He said there will be holy hell to pay if they are not released by the time he’s president. 

I’m going to tell you something. If they think that Donald Trump is bluffing, then they do not know Donald Trump!

18:49 It is my sincere opinion that they do know Donald Trump. I know Putin knows it. I know little rocket man knows it. I know the Iranians know it. Some of these Muslim little nations out there trying to cause trouble, maybe they don’t know it, but they’re going to find it out really quick when rockets start entering their homes. Everybody knows the story. I reported this before in an earlier broadcast back in the summer when Donald Trump was meeting with the Taliban and the leaders of the Taliban. He was telling them that he didn’t want any attacks against Americans and yet he wasn’t getting that much cooperation with the supreme leader of the Taliban. He could sense that, so he had a photo in his pocket. And he walked up to the guy and he put the photo down.And the guy instantly recognized that was where he was living, that they had where he was living in this photo, which was a satellite photo that was just right on the target and said, I know where you live. If any Americans die, you know what’s going to happen. And he walked away and the guy believed it. There were no Americans hurt or killed or targeted when Donald Trump was in the process of withdrawing out of Afghanistan. However, it all fell apart with the Biden administration and this awful withdrawal where we took out troops and left all the weapons behind and left the American public behind when the troops were pulled out.

It was probably the worst retreat known to man. 

The French couldn’t do a better retreat than that.

The Arabs couldn’t even do a better retreat against Israel than that, like in the 1967 war. People that know what I’m talking about, about the 1967 war will know the joke about that.

22:12 This week in the wrap up, we had a lot of good shows on the Plain Truth Today broadcast in the morning and noon and night. Now I didn’t do that many of them although I did a few shorts, I think three or four 7:11 shorts in the morning. But we had Mark Halperin, we had Megyn Kelly, we had a lot of good shows at the noontime hour, half hour, and at the evening, mainly hour, usually at 7:11 p.m. It’s an hour show I put up. This week, we really had some majorly good shows. If people did not take the time to watch them or listen to them, at least, you missed a great program and you missed interview with Pete Hegseth, for example. You missed some of the great programming that is out there on YouTube. You can still enjoy them and our search engine can help as well.

I want to say this, and I’ve said this over and over and over again. If you want to know what’s going on, I agree, theplaintruth.com is the place to go. But just in general, you do not want to go to your TV set. TV news, and I don’t care if it’s Newsmax or if it’s RAB TV, which I like those, if it’s Fox or MSNBC especially, or CNN, you’re not getting the real news. You’re not getting the plain truth, frankly. You have to do some work on yourself. Now, I think the plain truth makes it a little bit easier for the listener out there, or the viewer in some cases, to be plugged into what is important. If you’re going to watch, if you’re going to read your local newspaper, let’s say where I used to come from, the Waterbury Republican or the Richmond Times Dispatch or the West Palm Beach Post, if you’re going to read the local newspaper, you’re not even going to get the right weather reports, because they don’t even know how to predict the weather. Then you watch the local news from 6 to 6.30 for the local content, which 40 percent of the local news is about world related topics anyway, which is ridiculous as they’re supposed to provide the local news. Then say you watch CBS, ABC, NBC, CNN, Fox News at 6.30, 7 o’clock. You do not know what’s going on. You are being fed a line of propaganda, and it could be Fox News propaganda, Newsmax propaganda. I’m not saying you shouldn’t watch some of these shows. Maybe it’s best if you have a DVR to tape all of these shows and then sparingly go through them and get some stuff. I learned things from, and I’ll give you an example in a minute. I learned things by watching Fox Business, and I learned things from watching different TV shows. I do learn things, but I learn much more going through the Internet, going through these new podcasts that a lot of people are putting out, like Mark Halperin with Two Way and Megyn Kelly and Bill O’Reilly and Tucker Carlson. These people really are on the cutting edge of where the news is going to be found in the next 15 years, 10 to 15 years.

23:58 The plain truth again is, you’re going to find it now more than you’re ever going to find it in any newspaper, any local television news, or any national television news, what the real stories are. They’re found on the Internet. Now, I do believe if you’re a busy person and you need one place to go to get a pretty good understanding of what really is important to you and your family and your existence and what’s going to happen in the future, I think theplaintruth.com is the best place you can go to. I am not saying that’s all you should spend your time on. I think you should hit some of these podcasts. You should try to keep yourself informed of the real news and not the propaganda news of the mainstream media, including the conservative, still mainstream media. They all have Big Pharma advertising them, don’t they? 

So I don’t think you’re going to see a Big Pharma ad for the Tucker Carlson show. So just think about that. However today I heard something on Fox Business. So I do learn. I do listen. I glean and I listen.

I’m going to shock somebody right now.

Are you aware of a type of employee called an NGO? I think it must stand for non-governmental operation or organization. I’m not exactly sure. I didn’t glean that. I’m driving my car, and I’m listening to this, and I was just shocked.

25:21 Do you realize that the Bill Gates Foundation, for example, their employees are paid by the federal government, by using your dollar? The Catholic Charity League that helps illegals cross the border illegally and finds them shelter and hides them in sanctuary cities. Do you realize that the Catholic Church, the richest church of the world, is getting their people in America and that non-profit organization, their salaries come from the federal government? They’re like a federal government employee that is paid by you that do not have to follow any of the federal employee statutes or laws or priorities! There’s one other thing that’s even worse than that. When companies in the last four years under Biden would, let’s say some big company got a 50 million dollar fine because they were polluting too much. Guess what? The government took 5 million of that, and then they had a list of approved charities they could give the other 45 million to, every single one of them, George Soros, Bill Gates, pro-democratic party charities. Our government was fining businesses and making them give money by order to charities that had nothing to do with the federal government but contributed wholeheartedly to the Democratic Party. If you don’t contribute to the tune of one trillion dollars between NGOs and fines, one trillion dollars. The graft and the corruption of the Democratic Party I think is going to get blown wide open.

I think the pardon of Hunter Biden is the greatest thing in the world because now he can no longer take the Fifth Amendment.

He’s got to go in front of Congress.

27: 10 He’s going to probably be a resident of Washington D.C. for the next year testifying in Congress and in the Senate about all of the grift and corruption and who he paid money to, including his father, his uncle, his sister, his cousins, his mother or stepmother. It’s going to be interesting what comes out. He cannot refuse to talk because he’s now got immunity. If he tells a lie and says it wasn’t true, and of course someone else will prove that it’s true, he’s going to jail where he belongs anyway. So it’s going to be interesting what’s going to happen because I think the American people are going to see the grift and corruption from the Clintons to the Obamas to the Democratic Party to the Bidens for the last 30, 40 years. This corruption has cost us 35 trillion dollars. Our debt is mainly because of the Democrats and a lot of RINO Republicans with their finger in the jar, the government piggy bank, stealing 35 trillion dollars over the last 50 years and that is the national debt. I think with Elon Musk’s commission and with some of the things going to be happening, I think the Democratic Party is in serious trouble. It’s going to have to be rebuilt from the ground up because many of the people, the Nancy Pelosi’s, the Chuck Schumer’s, the senators you know now, the Congress people like AOC, who’s now a millionaire on a $176,000 salary. She’s now a millionaire in only four years. Think about that. How did she make a million dollars? They’re all corrupt. They’re so corrupt and a lot of Republicans are too. That’s where your national debt is. Elon Musk is going to have all of these up. You’re going to find this up.

So anyway, tomorrow is a Sabbath day. We’ll have a Sabbath program. Don’t forget Pearl Harbor, December 7th, tomorrow, Saturday. Then Sunday we’ll have a program again in the morning for the whole day. And then I’ll be back here Monday morning and probably Monday afternoon as well with new shows.
