 Friday wrap up with Bob Barney October 23, 2026

Hi, this is Bob Barney for The Plain Truth today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com, and it’s another Friday wrap-up. We’ll go over some of the big stories of the week and what I have to say about them, if anything. One of the first stories, one I just pay attention to all the time, is what’s going on with this war and with this particular Defense Department.

By the way, it’s not the Department of War. It’s never been legally changed. It’s still the Department of Defense, and we’ll go back to that once this whole regime changes here.

But as you know, I have not been a fan of Pete Hegseth being the Secretary of Defense because he just is simply over his head. I think so many people just do not understand that in order to run the Pentagon, you are the largest corporation in the world. The Pentagon buys more products,spends more dollars than all of Amazon, all of Walmart, or all of any major online thing you can think of.

They buy about a trillion dollars a year worth of goods and services, and so the person running the Pentagon really has to have a lot of business experience. I think you’ll find the corruption going on around this Pentagon is going to be awful, and I do not necessarily blame Donald Trump for this. As you know, like I said, I voted for Donald Trump in 2016.

I voted for him in 2020, and I’m one of those believers that believe that was a stolen election. I think Democrats are really good at stealing elections. I was in politics back in the 70s.

They were pretty good at stealing elections. Ronald Reagan always laughed and said, you know, if you didn’t believe in the resurrection of the dead, you certainly were never in Chicago on election night. So, I mean, it’s been known forever.

And I voted for Donald Trump again in 2024 and sent him a lot of money. But I’ve been very disillusioned with this regime, Donald Trump 2.0, because unlike the first time around, Donald Trump’s advisers the first time around were people that knew what they were doing. Now, I didn’t always agree with a lot of them, and some of them I didn’t think should have had the job in the first place, but Donald Trump made good, sound decisions.

He’s like the typical New York businessman, and I’ve dealt with those my whole life. I’m from that area. I know what it’s like.

They tend to be bullies, and if you push back, they step back. A lot of New Yorkers, unless you’re willing to get into their face and tell them off, they don’t think you know what you’re doing. They actually respect people who tell them off, who stand up to them.

Then they think, well, if he stands up to me, he must really believe what’s going on. So anyway, to make a long story short, he has surrounded himself with people just are incompetent, and so we have an administration that appears incompetent, and the problem that we’re going to get there is a bunch of communist Democrats taking over, and especially if they take over the presidency in 28, and this country’s in a lot of trouble. 

The middle class especially is in a lot of trouble if that happens, but getting back to the story, current and former Pentagon officials are set to spill their guts, quote unquote, to Congress about Pete Hegseth, sources say.

Democrats are preparing to investigate the U.S. Department Secretary, Defense Secretary, name that right, by the way, if they regain control of the House of Representatives after the November midterms, which I think they will. 

They plan to subpoena Mr. Hegseth’s inner circle and rake them over the coals about his tenure, especially the signed single gate when he accidentally leaked U.S. military plans to journalists. I don’t know if that was as big of a crime as they made it out to be.

With the help of informants, they hope to force embarrassing disclosures from his time at the Pentagon, which would either build an impeachment case against him or provoke Donald Trump just to dismiss him. Sources say that the Defense Secretary is vulnerable because he has committed a sting of costly blunders, which he has. This war, just to get off this story here, this war that he got Donald Trump into, there was no planning.

We didn’t even, and I know this for a fact, we didn’t even have the arms ready. We didn’t even plan how many cruise missiles we would need, we ran out of them, or how many bombs we were going to have. There was no strategic planning because he has not ever been in a position to strategically plan a war.

You need people who know what they’re doing. It’s like you don’t put a corporal in charge of a brigade and think he’s going to know how to attack the enemy and win. It’s that simple.

We have a problem here, and I think that Pete Hegseth will end up going. He’s got to go. We need somebody in charge of the Pentagon that probably could end this war, the right person probably could end this war within a matter of weeks and would make Donald Trump happy.

It would make the people who support him happy. We probably could get out of this in pretty good terms if somebody running the Pentagon absolutely know how to wage war. I mean, there’s no reason that we have missiles attacking boats when we have the strongest Navy and Air Force in the world.

Well, I don’t know about our Navy anymore, but at least our Air Force is second to none. We should be able to knock down all of these missiles right where they are. But like I said, there was just no good planning, and we’re paying for that bad planning right now and what’s happening.

So anyway, I think we should look into that. The other story that I’m kind of a little happy to see being investigated here is this Eon Omar, the Somali refugee who probably, if you believe the reports, I probably do, married her brother in order to get into the United States. And because she comes from such a strong Muslim background, you know, part of the country, she’s going to get elected if there was a picture of her shooting somebody in the street.

I mean, it’s just that simple. But I like to see this investigation continue, because the truth is she’s anti-American. She has no right to ever been allowed in this country.

She has no right to be a citizen of this country. And I know a lot of people is going to think that’s a racist point of view. But the truth of the matter is this country has an obligation, the leaders of this country have an obligation to protect the American citizens from terrorists, foreign or domestic, but especially foreign terrorists.

And when someone comes over here and applies for citizenship, if they lie, and they are not even pro-American in any way, which he is not, they don’t deserve to stay here. It’s that simple. I am for, I am against Donald Trump’s ICE program right now.

I’m against deporting all of these good workers. The only people who seem to want to work are Hispanics. I’m against this.

But at the same time, I do believe we had to close the borders, which he did. And I also believe that you have to keep out of this country people who want to destroy this country. They use our democratic principles against us.

And the minute they gain power, guess what? Elections are going to disappear. So, Congressman Omar has reemerged in a brief video in which she insisted she would be not intimidated among this federal investigation. Hi, everyone, she says.

She began speaking. I just wanted to say thank you so much for your support. Well, only people supporting her are the other anti-American outcasts.

But she has been the center of an investigation for a while now about her family. Her father, for example, Nur Omar Mohamed, he’s dead now, but her father was part of a brutal campaign ofgenocide of Somalians when he was there. So and then there’s the other story with her that you just can’t forget.

She got hundreds of thousands of dollars of donations from a little restaurant, which is the size and I’m not exaggerating, which is the size of my kitchen, which is probably 14 feet by 18 feet. And that restaurant was awarded meals for indigent people and paid for by our government that she got. And this restaurant was able to give her hundreds of thousands of dollars of campaign contributions.

But when you investigate this restaurant, guess what? They were serving something like let me look this up right now. Well, according to my quick chat GPT in 2020, the Somali TV of Minnesota, U.S. Representative Omar stated that the safari restaurant, that’s the name of it, was giving out 2300 family meals a day to families in need. However, federal prosecutors during the feeding our future fraud trial reviewed vastly totally different.

Well, let’s put it this way. 2300 meals was physically impossible in a restaurant the size of my kitchen. Matter of fact, 1000 meals were physically impossible.

500 meals were physically impossible. Probably more like 200 meals maybe could be done in a day out of such a small facility. But this was the corruption that we’re talking about.

And in 2020 and 2021, safari restaurants submitted claims to the federal government for 3.9 million meals served, receiving 12 million dollars of taxpayer funds.

 And then they claimed when investigating that they were serving between four to six thousand meals per day. In reality, the FBI surveillance footage and court proceedings showed that the restaurant actually averaged only about 40 people a day getting a meal.

This is the kind of fraud that we’re talking about. And I want to tell you something right now. And I was talking to one of the paint people across the street from me.

He has another paint company. There’s two in town. There is every bit.

Elon Musk was going to start this fraud investigation and wasteful spending, and it kind of got poo-pooed by the Trump people themself. And you’re never going to clean up the swamp in Washington. It’s just not going to happen.

But there is a trillion dollars. There is easily a trillion dollars of waste, fraud and abuse every year in this budget and every budget, not just Trump’s budget, but Bill Clinton’s budget. Ronald Reagan’s budget probably had a lot of fraud and abuse that he didn’t know about.

It’s just part of Washington. And the idea that this restaurant that served 40 meals a day claimed they served 4000 to 6000 a day and gave her so much money. That’s, in my opinion, that when she accepted that money, it’s due diligence.

If I was to accept stolen money without any due diligence at all for selling paint to something that I know is impossible, I know it’s fraud, I would be arrested. My company would be shut down and I would go to jail. And that’s what would happen to every one of you out there in business if you defrauded the government out of such money.

Nothing’s happened. Nothing at all has happened, but the restaurant shuts down. She’s kept the money.

It’s just total corruption. And both parties are so far into this corruption today, it’s not stoppable.It’s not going to be stoppable until the American people run out of money themselves, their credit cards no longer work, and they find out they can’t buy gas, they can’t buy food, they have nothing left, they’re going to lose their homes.

Then they’re going to get mad as all hell. And then there’s going to be hell to be paid if you’re a politician. Politicians already, there was a report we did on the Plain Truth last week.

Politicians already are feeling fear from some of the threats they’re getting in phone calls and emails from people who claim they’re going to harm them. It’s going to get worse, my friends. It’s going to get a lot worse when people are starving in this country.

This country, no matter what you hear from the Liberal Democrats, has never known starvation like Africa or parts of Asia or South America. But it’s coming if something doesn’t. You can’t have a $40 trillion deficit with $1 trillion a year in interest payments.

Not principal, but interest payments. That would be like you are a family that makes $100,000 a year, and you have to pay $25,000 a year just to pay the interest on your credit cards, which totals would be $500,000. Five times your yearly income.

You’re going to go bankrupt. You’re going to go to a lawyer who’s going to go bankrupt for you. That’s what’s going to happen, and that’s what this country is in right now.

What does bankruptcy mean for a nation the size of America? It means World War III, because the people who loaned us this money are going to demand it one way or another, or they’re going to come to steal it. It’s that simple. I’ll be right back after a word about The Plain Truth.

She was a very beautiful actress from, what was that, a Fox series, married with children, and she had a lot of movies. She had a very good career, and was a vegetarian, which, you know, if you read Your Health Today on theplaintruth.com, you know that vegetarians have a lot of problems staying healthy. It is not, the human body is made as an omnivore by our living God, just like, you know, a bear is an omnivore, and dogs are carnivores, not omnivores.

That’s why they eat more meat, and that’s why I’m even against the all-meat diet. I used to follow the Atkins diet, but you’re really made to have fruits and vegetables, carbohydrates, and meats, but you can’t live without all of that stuff. You’re God, who created you, created you with molars like a cow, and canines like a dog, and you’re supposed to have a well-balanced diet of fruits, vegetables, certain starches like potatoes, or sweet potatoes, or wheat, if it’s good, einkorn-type wheat, and, of course, fish, poultry, and meat.

Yes, red meat, if it’s raised properly, and not given all these hormones, and all this corn that they feed cows today with, it’s very healthy for you, and it just, I said, when she became a well-known vegetarian, that singles health problems, but then she turned out, she had a gene, I’m trying to think, Angelina Jolene had the same gene thing that made her predisposed to have breast cancer, and she, like Jolene, decided to have their breasts removed, and reconstructed to be able to look like they still had them.

 I said, proactively removing your breast, because you think you’re going to get breast cancer, whoever you’re listening to is a wacko, is absolutely a wacko, you change your diet, you live a way that cancer can’t grow in you,

 and one of the things you do is stop eating sugar, because cancer only survives off of sugar, you can look that up, don’t believe what I say, go to a good search engine that says, does cancer live on sugar alone, and you will find the answer is true,

there are things you can do to prevent the breast cancer, but she did that first, and then in 2021, she was diagnosed with MS, and I said at the time, and I didn’t have this program at the time, but I wrote a few articles, it’s on the message board, 

I think you can still find them, about her and Angelina Jolene, they’re making a terrible mistake with their bodies, first of all, I knew they both had the COVID vaccines, I was so dead set against the COVID vaccines, I was like a lone wind out there in the wilderness, saying how these vaccines, and I’m not anti-vax, the premise of a vaccine is real, 

if you put, you know, if you put a virus in your body, and your body gets sick from that virus, it will produce the antibodies, for you’ll never get sick from that particular strain of virus again, that’s the principles of the vaccine, 

I grew up with Dr. Jenner, and noticing that women who milked cows had something called milkpox, and girls who milked cows, cow maids, back in 1700 England, never got smallpox, well milkpox was not deadly, but smallpox was, so he decided to experiment on himself, he broke the pus out of milkpox, pusticles, they, you know, big white blisters, and he put it in a needle and injected it into himself, and I think his children, if I remember right, but anyway, turned out he then injected himself with a smallpox dosage, 

and he never got it, and that started the smallpox vaccine, people don’t realize this, but George Washington forced his entire regimental army, the continental army, to be injected with smallpox vaccine, you did not, it was not voluntary, you had to take the vaccine, vaccines do work, but modern day vaccines, I’m afraid, are all about making money, they’re not about saving anybody, Dr. Salk, and I knew the woman who was actually his main assistant, when he was working on the polio vaccine, when I was a kid, we used to mow her lawn, her name was Jean Rosbarrow, and she would tell you how Dr. Salk was so angry about the Sabin polio vaccine that used a live virus, 

and she said Dr. Salk predicted that using live viruses was going to cause all kinds of problems down the road, and that is why AIDS, for example, did not happen and start in America, because America was the only country that used the Salk vaccine for polio, dead virus, the rest of the world, especially Africa, got the Sabin vaccine, which was full of viruses, and if we’ve played this before by the head guy from Merck, who admitted that the Sabin vaccine was full of all types of diseases, including cancers, you can look that video up right now on The Plain Truth, you can listen to the guy in his own words, he is considered the father of modern vaccines for Merck pharmaceuticals, admitting that the Sabin vaccine caused cancers, caused AIDS, caused all types of man-made diseases that we really can’t battle to this day, 

and that all came from a vaccine with live vaccines, and though I’m not an anti-vaxxer, I’m an anti-modern-day vaccine by pharmaceutical companies that are protected from lawsuits by the federal government, you can’t sue a vaccine company when they do something to you, who are making the very cheapest vaccines possible to sell them at the most money possible and to make the most profit, it’s not about your health,

 it’s not about stopping disease, it’s all about corporate profits, and I don’t want to sound like some communist out here, but there is truth to the idea that big businesses are big evil, because a lot of big business and most big business is big evil. 

Capitalism was really made to work with small businesses like my own, or yours probably if you’re a businessman, they weren’t made for worldwide companies run by Elon Musk, who are just trying to become the first trillionaire and maybe the first multi-trillionaire, that’s not what capitalism really was intended to be for those kind of businesses, big businesses have a profit motive and that’s their motive, and so when they took these vaccines, 

I predicted that autoimmune problems, if they had them in the first part, were going to rage out of control and all kinds of disasters would happen, and this misdiagnosis, and now she’s mad, how could she have been misdiagnosed for five years that she had MS when she didn’t, it’s very simple, she did things to her body, did not protect her body with a good diet, and she did things with her body, including the COVID vaccines that put her in the state she’s in today, and that’s the plain truth, 

and I think because she is so well known and because she was cut off from hundreds of millions of dollars worth of income because nobody would hire her in her state, she looks very pitiful and I feel very bad for her, that the truth is that, I’ll tell you right now, that the truth is that she is probably going to be the poster child for lawsuits against the COVID vaccine, and maybe finally the truth of these vaccines will be open to the public,

 I’m hoping so, because that is what we need. Another thing I just wanted to get onto, we put this on the message board, I think we put it on Monday or Tuesday, we’re coming up to Halloween, and we will have some shows about the real origin of Halloween, what Halloween means, why you should never participate in Halloween, and why your children should never participate in Halloween, it is absolutely a holiday that will make your God and Savior and your God the Father absolutely mad at you when you follow it, even if you follow it ignorantly,

 things bad will happen, things bad happen every year on Halloween, many kids end up swallowing, you know, pins and needles and razor blades and all kinds of stuff, it’s just something we shouldn’t be doing, 

but anyway, Harry Houdini, the greatest escape artist who ever lived, actually died on Halloween in 1926, and we put up a story on the message board, it’s very interesting to read, because nine days earlier, a student had punched him in the stomach, that he always said nobody, he could take any punch to the stomach, and he took the punch, and doctors blamed that punch for rupture in his spleen, or his gallbladder, we don’t know which one, and they think that was the reason why he died, 

well, now there is new information coming out that possibly that had nothing to do with his death, Houdini made a name for himself, back in the 19-teens and 20s, there was a lot of spiritualists, you know, Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes fame, his wife was a spiritualist, Houdini exposed her as a fraud, he made a lot of enemies exposing all of the  characters that were preying upon people who thought they were talking to their dead ones in seances, 

he proved them all to be hoaxes, as a matter of fact, I’m going to give you a storyreal quick here in a minute, but some now believe that he had such a bad reputation among these people that he was actually murdered because of what he was doing with this very lucrative business of seances, but anyway, it was Harry Houdini, and I always was intrigued with him as a kid, he wrote a book one time, or a story I read a long time ago,  

 I do not remember it off hand, when he said, how do you tell if something is fraudulent or something is real? Well, if something is fraudulent, they’re always going to ask for money up front, because it’s all about money, it’s not about real, if you really had magic, or in my case, if you really was a real god, you don’t need to have anybody give you money, god can give you money, or if you’ve got magic, you can magically make money, right, you can magically make gold, so I put that theory to the test, religion after religion that I was studying at the time, to try to disprove them, by the way, because I was an atheist, never could pass the Houdini smell test, because all they really wanted was your money, they didn’t care a thing about Jesus Christ, gospel, or anything of the sort, but then I came across the Worldwide Church of God in 1976, 75 actually, and I got pamphlet after pamphlet, booklet after booklet, magazine every month, free of charge, 

I never received a letter asking for a donation, I never received this letter from Garner Ted or his father, we are out of money, and if you don’t send us money, we’re going to go out of business, we need your money, never once.

Three years, three and a half years, in fact, I got literally hundreds of free books, free booklets, magazines, without paying a dime, without ever asking me for money, never even asking me to join their church, found out later it was almost impossible to join your church unless you had a lot of money, but we would talk about that later, but that is what made me start wondering about Garner Ted Armstrong’s message, and why I couldn’t disprove what he was saying, because the truth of the matter is, is they weren’t in it for the money,

and if they were in it for the money, it was a different way, and it passed the Houdini smell test, that’s what got me down the road where I am today. 

Real quickly, this weekend, we’re going to have, you know, tomorrow is the Sabbath day, and we tell you this every week, we’ll have a Sabbath morning show at 7 11 a.m., 

and tomorrow night, I talk all the time about political propaganda movies, everybody studies Adolf Hitler’s movies of propaganda, well, his movies were like a four-year-old made them, you want to watch real political propaganda, watch the United States and English movies in the 1940s during World War II, and you see propaganda at its finest, and tomorrow night, we have one, 

Journey for Margaret, with Dr. Welby, that’s who the main star is, and it’s a cute story about adopting two orphans, and the journey of a newspaper man covering the war that gets involved with the war and orphans, and when you really understand this movie, and it’s a great movie, and it’s a real barn burner of a movie, and one you’ll never forget, you’re going to see propaganda at its finest,

 as Frank Capra said, the best propaganda is when you can tell the truth and not lie, and the truth proves your propaganda is accurate, and that you will see tomorrow, if you take the time and watch that movie that we’re going to have up, Journey for Margaret, you will not be disappointed, well, that’s the wrap up, this is Bob Barney, hope you have a safe and pleasant weekend, until Monday, bye-bye.
