Hello, it’s Bob Barney. It’s Friday. It’s Friday wrap-up time and this will be a briefer one than normal.
This whole week has been a little briefer It’s been Pentecost week and that’s the big news of the week personally. I know there’s a lot of news we will talk and hint on some of those big news stories of the week but according to God his holidays His holy days are much more important than what happens anytime during the week of any time that you can think of because obeying God following his holy days is how we understand God’s plan for us one of the things that’s very hard for all of us to understand Because we have a limited view Of what’s going on in the in our own life. We only can see our life as what is physical? We dream of the spiritual we dream of the world to come but we see the physical things We understand rent is due or mortgage payments are due or the electric bill is due we understand we have to work more than we want to or one thing after another or go to the grocery stores and have to pay all these High prices to buy the goods and services that we need however God says to us in the new testament more than the old testament God reminds us That we have to keep our eyes and we have to keep our mind and we have to keep our hopes Of what is to come? After we die Because we cannot be born again into the spiritual realm as God’s children until we die and so we see our life in our physical lifetime yesterday I told you I turned 70 years old.
2:36 My time is short compared to what I did or what I had 30 years ago when it seemed like forever before you’d ever get to be 60 Never mind 70 My wife said to me the first thing this morning is bob I can’t believe you’re 70 years old because I still see her As I saw her when she was a teenager and she still sees me as she saw me when I was about 22 so that’s good. Love but it’s also the physical Realm that we are entrapped in and it’s hard in our physical state to get out of it But we have to keep the eyes on the our eyes on the prize and that is a world to come a life to come And a millennium and a kingdom to come there is a government coming to this earth It’s not a religion coming to this earth Christ is going to bring his government for a thousand years And that is when we reign as a spiritual being when we’re born of God born again From the dead as Christ was some 2 000 years ago now, and so we have to keep That foremost and it’s hard but the good news and this is good news God knows it’s hard God understands that we can only see Limited into the future. We can only see what is actually written in the bible and there therefore by faith We have to maintain that faith and believe it’s going to happen and try to use our logic and our mind and our belief and faith and the holy spirit.
4:40 Hopefully that is in us to accept that faith and to accept that future and believe it’s going to happen remember What made Abraham? The friend of God was God told him many wonderful promises that would never happen in Abraham’s time, But Abraham believed it was going to happen and God called that righteousness. So that’s just what I want to start this week off this Friday wrap off Wrap up off Is the idea that we have to keep our eyes? Looking forward not behind and I’m one of those who look behind a lot And to understand there is a beautiful new world coming There is a resurrection of the dead that is coming and when we will have no pain We will have no fear of death and we will be able to be limitless of what we can do And that is going to happen and we only really truly understand God’s plan when we follow God’s holidays and not man’s fake pagan holidays that the Christian world Unfortunately follows today. And so yesterday was Pentecost. But actually, Pentecost is a week-long holy occurrence. It was called a pilgrimage festival Passover is one Pentecost is one and the feast of tabernacles in the fall is the third one three times a year In the Old Testament. This is not really in force for us today But in the Old Testament three times a year every person who could afford so was to travel to Jerusalem Took about a week to do the whole festival.
6:22 That’s a week’s vacation time. They stopped their regular work and they went to these pilgrimage festivals and worshiped the lord and Sacrificed their sacrifices to him and gave their tithes three times a year Not every Sunday as some of these churches want to do when they you know I turn the upside down and get all your dollars and coins out of your pockets Three times a year you were to present yourself before the lord with your tithe Ten percent of your increase in your earnings and Pentecost was one of those three times it was the second of the three and so yesterday we had Pentecost and It’s a day that we should try to take off from work if we possibly can I really think we can force the issue if we really are a believer. I took yesterday off I know I own a business but believe me when you own a business and you take a day off That’s why this show is going to be short when you do so everything Magnifies you take a day off you work two extra days to make up for it maybe three or four because things don’t happen the way you want it to happen when you’re there In control and you’re making things happen to your will because you have the experience that many of your employees do not They do their best my people I think do their very best But mistakes happen when my wife and I are not at the business and we took today off or yesterday off I should say And we’re taking part of today off this morning to do the show And then we’re going to work and we’re going to have a whole parcel of things We got to get done today and accomplish and still be home evening time and because tomorrow is the sabbath day and we do follow the sabbath as well we take that day off so someday it will be our first day of real work back in the business again trying to wrap up all the things we were not able to accomplish today We had a big memorial day sale and I would be remiss to tell you That I am I have to give God credit We had a four-day sale with a large percentage off And it started Friday and it ended Monday on memorial day And we had a figure that we wanted to have in order to Pay back all of the loans that I had to give my company because the economy is in bad shape right now We’ll talk about that in a minute and Friday went by with very Decent, but not great sales Saturday was very disappointing Sunday was even more disappointing And I thought by Monday morning when it started out slow that The sale was going to be a bust we were not going to get the money that we needed But then all of a sudden around noon time on Monday.
8:38 My wife said are you watching the sales? And I we were off from work, and we were watching the sales. I shouldn’t say we were off from work We were working from home the home office tammy was working probably harder Monday than she did the week before Altogether because you have to answer questions. You have to call people that have problems Even though we’re an online store people don’t want to buy online They want to call and talk to you about their paint or whatever and she said have you been looking at the sales and I said not really because I was kind of Dejected and she says we’re doing like fifteen twenty thousand dollars an hour And we ended up Getting the sales number that I had prayed for that Thursday before the sale To two thousand dollars more and it was like a miracle and um It made my whole week a lot brighter Knowing that we had some money to live through these bad times still to keep our business afloat and doing well And we did much more than I thought we were ever going to do and we hit the number we thought we could do and the next day without the sale we did great again, so we didn’t even pirate our existing sales Most of the customers that came in I would say almost 45 or 50 Were brand new customers who had never bought from us before so the big 35 discount brought a lot of people to our website so anyway, I want to give God praise and thanks that it was a Pentecost to come a miracle for the for the barney family and our businesses and I am grateful to God and I am grateful to And I am happy to inform everybody out there my business, which I usually don’t do I kind of keep things wrapped up to myself, but I think I got to give God glory here because God definitely Came through like there was no bad economy out there now talking about the bad economy The only other two stories really meaning anything for the week Was the story about the tariffs it got overturned? By a court now unlike and you’re not going to hear this on too many news stations This court was not a court that did not have jurisdiction, you know, some of these, liberal judges have ruled Trump actions and executive orders Unconstitutional when all they really were that you know, a judge in Washington dc decides on something to happen in Texas Where he had no jurisdiction in the first place, but this court was a court based on commerce And that’s their job to look at things and to give a background Tariffs are not in the realm of the presidential powers.
10:30 It’s in the powers of congress now congress has been very liberal at allowing presidents To do tariff work for them because congress is lazy And so many presidents have done tariffs on their own But none has done So like Donald Trump did and to the degree that trump did and it has hurt the economy the other thing you should know about this lawsuit that was brought to Trump that the court found in their favor was it was brought by little small businesses It wasn’t brought by liberal activists like is being portrayed from the white house It was bought by small companies That employ just a few people who have been severely impacted by these tariffs around the world And putting many middle class and lower class people out of work And that’s just not being reported We have phone calls constantly from body shops and other paint users saying how bad things are for them and they’re little they’re little shops They’re the people who are in your town who do the body work or paint work in your town Who employ people in your town employ people for a lot of money? You know body men and painters make a hundred thousand dollars or more a year. They make more than most graduates coming out of college with a worthless degree They make a lot of money and there is a great shortage to this day of body men and painters Do you know that I watched a show with? Mike Rowe on Cuomo the other night and he was talking to someone who represents about 180 I think manufacturers who make the parts and products that go into making our submarines We only can produce one submarine a year right now and the Trump administration rightfully wants us to make three submarines a year but here’s the problem. There are 180 companies that provide parts and they told Mike Rowe that we need to find welders and Mike Rowe said well, how many welders do you need and they said a hundred and forty thousand. Yes, you heard that right a hundred and forty thousand job openings.
12:00 Then they went on to say the same. Organization that represents small businesses then they went on to say that in the body shop business There’s probably 80 to 120 Thousand openings to this day for painters and body men who like I said would make 80 to a hundred thousand dollars a year And they don’t they can’t fill them and who they were filling them with were a lot of Hispanic people Many here legally many even citizens who are afraid to go to work because they think they’re going to be deported They’re listening to the news stories and even though they may be an American citizen and many are not by the way I’m, not trying to put on a story that does not exist A lot of them are probably illegal, but there are many who are here on work visas and many who are actual American naturalized citizens by You know, they took the test and they lived here and they came here the right way or they were pardoned by Reagan many years ago if they came here illegally, but they went through and became American citizens But they are afraid according to a lot of our customers that they too will be deported and there will be no court to protect Them with their due process of law. And so many body shops are really Out of out of luck when it comes to their employees showing up to go to work and the backlog is is going bigger and bigger and bigger and what are the insurance companies doing? They’re totaling cars That should never be totaled because it’s better for the insurance company Not to have to wait four weeks for a car to be fixed just to total it And that is what’s going on today in the auto body industry and many people who have an accident are going to find out Real quick the car they love and they don’t think there’s that much damage Is it going to find itself totaled and the insurance companies can then part out those cars? and the value of the parts of a whole of a car is more valuable than the car by the way if they pay off the The value of the car as a whole let’s say it’s forty thousand dollars And that same car in parts will probably bring them back seventy to eighty even to ninety thousand dollars from the The sadisco’s out there and they’re not sadisco anymore But the salvage companies that are paying good amount of money and selling these parts back to the body shops and to other places even overseas That need parts, you know I have a friend of mine who’s waiting for an alternator on a brand new dodge ram pickup truck And they told them there is no alternators in the country for this brand new dodge ram pickup truck There’s one coming but it won’t be here to July 2nd.
14:45 Now. What does that tell you? I know what it told him and it tells me because we’re in the business Of export import you name it It tells me that all dodge alternators are coming from China or some other country and it’s on a boat somewhere And that’s how they know it’s going to be here July 2nd because they know when the boat’s going to get here and The alternator they said is about three times more money than it was a year ago And that tells you the tariff situation So the tariffs were struck down by that court now right away the appeals court put an injunction against that ruling and um Now it’s going to end up in the supreme court and we’ll see which way that goes But I have a strange feeling the supreme court again is going to rule against Donald Trump Which is going to really mess up a lot of his trade deals Why would any country want to make a deal right now when they think the united states supreme court is going to negate? Anything when it comes to these tariffs in the future So I think Trump has found himself in trouble and he backed himself up into trouble in a way he deserves because he does not understand what happens when you make decisions and not plan for the unintended consequences of those decisions and that’s what’s happening right now. And there are who’s going to pick our crops This is another thing if most of our crops In America are picked by Hispanic people Who’s going to pick them if they’re afraid to go to work like these body shop people are afraid to go to work? They’re going to sit and rot in the fields and what do you think’s going to happen to you this summer in the supermarkets right now in the supermarkets? The food you’re buying is not coming from America.
16:30 It’s not coming from California because it’s not the season yet It’s coming from Chile or Brazil or anywhere in the southern hemisphere where it’s summer still or now it’s late fall but now When summertime comes 85 percent of the produce that you go and buy is being picked 50 percent of that in California alone And if people don’t show up to go to work because they’re afraid they’re going to be raided and deported We’re going to see Crops rotting in the field and you’re going to have a crisis this summer that no one is even talking about So that was the big story of the week when it came to that The other big story of the week that I think should be noted and this would be the end of this show Is the judge that ruled against the Trump administration I think wrongly about Harvard and the money they get from the government. First of all, let me put this right now no independent university. That’s not a government like a state of Connecticut university or a state of Virginia university that gets federal and state funds no private university like a Harvard who takes a lot of money by the way from China and from Arab nations that are at war with us no federal dollar should go to Harvard yale Princeton or any of these colleges that do not Serve the public as a as a state run or a federal run type school They should get not a dime and Donald Trump not because he doesn’t like Harvard and which is the case here, by the way but just on principle that these um these colleges these universities who get Billions and billions of dollars from foreigners that are against this country should not get a dime of your and my tax dollar money and that is the terrible thing here.
This is what happens again When you have liberal activist judges that are just as much of a problem in my opinion as is the Trump administration not foreseeing what they’re doing They make decisions on the run and then there are consequences to these decisions and guess what? They’re in trouble and the American people are really who’s in trouble We’re the ones still paying three dollars a gallon for gas and going to the grocery store and watching Especially if you’re a lower class person You’re watching a week’s salary to buy a month’s worth of groceries And then another two week salary to pay your rent because these people don’t own their own houses There isn’t much money left over friends and that’s the problem And if Donald Trump does not and I don’t believe it’s going to happen personally If Donald Trump does not start targeting the middle class and a lower middle class and try to help them And he’s not trying to help them now all of this nonsense. I’m going to bring back 10 million jobs We got 1.4 million jobs open right now of really high paying jobs that nobody’s even applying for Why is that because the American’s 38 percent of all able-bodied American’s in this country Simply do not work. They live off the government dime and as long as that happens That’s and congress is going to keep it happening because that’s how they get re-elected.
19:56 They buy their votes As long as that happens I’m telling you right now The united states is doomed and I think our economy right now is doomed I think president Trump had the ability and he had the mandate to Improve this economy and to improve our way of life and he has gone a road that is absolutely an antithesis to what The American people need and I think this summer we’re going to see holy heck break out when all of the real Cost of these tariffs hit home and when products are not on our shelves in our grocery stores And that what are going to be there are going to be three four and five times the amount of money That you’re paying even right now And there is going to be a rebellion against the republican party when that happens and I don’t want to see that happen Because that means we’re going to go and get democrat rule who is absolutely Anti-American anti you and me and anti-everybody but who gives them money They’re worse than any republican ever be but the republican party is self-destructing itself And the only thing helping them right now is the democrat party There’s they have so many loony people like AOC and Bernie Sanders out there They’re the only hope trump’s got for the republican party because when people listen to them they go back and say well I got to go with trump if I have to compare myself with Bernie Sanders if I’m going to put my fate in his hands I’m in trouble. And so that’s the only thing helping the republicans, but the republicans are not helping themselves, you know, Elon Musk left dodge this week and the three quarters of a trillion dollars. He said he had saved turned out to be 125 billion dollars sounds good.
No because the congress and this last budget bill which has passed You know how much of the dodge cuts they put into that bill nine billion dollars against three agencies You do the math We spent 50 billion dollars retiring people that should not have been retired early and now we’re going to save nine billion It’s all a smoke and mirrors game. Well, that’s a shorter version of of the friday wrap-up I do hope everyone enjoys the sabbath day tomorrow. We have a sabbath show.
