Hi, Bob Barney here with another edition of The Plain Truth today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com. Going to talk again about the Iran-Israeli-United States thing we talked about yesterday noontime, and it didn’t take very long for my prediction or my possible prediction came true. I just do not understand when it comes to the tariffs for Donald Trump. I don’t understand this administration at all.

To me, if he was running as a Democrat, the people who call themselves MAGA today, the Republican people that are supporting him today, would say that he is the most incompetent person since Barack Obama when it comes to economic policy, when it comes to foreign policy. Today, this morning, after I did the show last night, I did yesterday’s show the night before, actually, and this show I’m doing the night before. You’re going to hear it tomorrow. It’s a very bad heat wave here, and we’re just trying to escape the heat, and I’m coming in a little early from work, but I could not believe listening to the news this morning, Trump using the four-letter word to describe Israel. That’s right. You heard that right.

Not just Iran, but Israel, and he’s blaming Netanyahu for striking the snake and trying to kill it. I said yesterday, I do not understand a person who thinks they know what they’re doing to allow the Iranian people to be under the thumb of these religious zealots who want to destroy us. I have a question for Tucker Carlson, who doesn’t agree with me, I can see, and for Steve Bannon. If there was a person, a violent criminal, let’s say somebody like Charles Manson was let out on bail, and Charles Manson said every day, I am going to not only kill Tucker Carlson, but I’m going to kill his wife and his children. I’m going to hunt them down. I’m going to torture them. I’m going to do every unimaginable thing to them. I would like to see if Tucker Carlson would sit back and say, well, he has a right to talk, whatever he wants to do, but we shouldn’t get involved. The police department should leave him alone.

You know that wouldn’t be the case. You know that as well as I know that. He would demand police protection. He would demand that person be stopped before he starts to crime. Isn’t that the problem with the lawlessness going on in America today, the problem that we don’t stop criminals before they do crime? Does that have anything at all in your mind, the same as talking about Iranian people, not the people themselves, but their leaders, Iranian leaders, maybe I should say, that every single day chants death to America, death to American citizens, death to Israel. We’re going to destroy all your soldiers. We’re going to attack your air bases. We’re going to attack your cities. We’re going to have sleeper cells kill as many American women, children, and men as possible. We should not take them at their word and we should want to sit down and negotiate with these people. Give me a break. Why in the world would you want to negotiate with a viper, a poisonous, venomous viper? And that’s what these people are. And Donald Trump, I said it yesterday, went around the world with his famous snake speech about the woman who was so stupid, she saved a snake from dying and then she clutched it to her breast and it bit her and killed her. And the snake said, you know I was a snake, why negotiate with me? Why don’t you practice what you preach, Donald Trump? I am not a person who wants to see boots on the ground in Iran. I do not want to see American soldiers at risk, if at all possible.

But at the same time, you cannot be a pacifist in a world run by Satan. You have to sometimes, if you’re president of the United States, as Ronald Reagan did, as the first George Bush probably did, though I think us sending troops to Kuwait was wrong, but you got to give him credit. When he did so, they went through Iraq like hot knife through butter without any real casualties. I think the only casualty was one rocket that hurt or killed maybe eight people when Schwarzkopf ran the operation. But you cannot allow a country headed by religious zealots who want to destroy the world, they really want to make the end of the world happen in their lifetime, a lot like some of these Christian right people who don’t even know the Bible, they don’t even understand the end times, they certainly don’t understand who God is and who God’s not. And we ran a story just on a side note yesterday, I saw I put up this babbling, speaking in tongues at the White House. That’s not Donald Trump’s fault, but I’m saying you bring in these religious fanatics on the Christian side who think that babbling, un-understandable utterances is fulfilling biblical prophecy about speaking in tongues, when these fools do not even understand that all speaking in tongues means in the New Testament is you’re speaking in other languages that you don’t know how to speak in. It’s a miracle. So when you’re an English-born redneck American and you can’t speak Spanish, and all of a sudden you’re in a room somewhere and God tells you to speak to this person, and all of a sudden you’re speaking and that person’s hearing Spanish, that’s a miracle.

That’s what speaking in tongues was about. That was on the Plain Truths message board yesterday. But going back to this thing with Donald Trump, now he’s blaming Israel for striking at the snake. How do you maintain a friendship with somebody like this? If you had a friend like Donald Trump, would you want him as your friend very long? Now I do remember, and I held to this, remember I supported Donald Trump in 2016. I supported him in 2020, and I believe the 2020 election was stolen. How’s that? And I voted for him in 2024, and I understood, and I would still say to this day, I think Donald Trump is still better than we would have Kamala Harris or Joe Biden. But I will tell you one thing, with Joe Biden or Kamala Harris, I doubt if we would have the economy as bad off as it is right now. It is not better as Donald Trump said it would be. These tariffs have not even hit yet. When these tariffs hit, I’m telling you, we’re going to long for the I did that sticker on the gas pumps. Are you paying a lot less for gas right now? I mean, Donald Trump was on TV saying how oil plummeted, how the stock market went up today, everything is going great. But everything’s not going great. Gas is not record lows. Yeah, oil dropped 10 bucks because it went up because of the war. It’s like, I raise a price by $25, then I lower it by 20 and say, look at that, I just saved you $20 after I just screwed you out of 25.

This is what’s going on, and I don’t believe this man’s going to get away with it much longer. I have to admit, I think that the advisors that Donald Trump had around him in the 2017, 2018, 2019 years were really the people maybe should get all the credit for all the good things that happened back then. Because it seems like right now Donald Trump is making decisions and he does not have advisors telling him what to do. There are just yes people, yes, you’re the greatest Donald. Yes, you did the greatest thing in the world. This was the greatest attack on all terms. And today, I predicted this again yesterday, really the night before. Again, today, you listen to Israeli experts saying they’re not even certain there was any nuclear material in those places that we bombed. Did you hear that? We’re not even sure. And you know, the Mossad has a hell of a lot better intelligence than we have, and they’re not even sure, they said. And another reporter from the Middle East who some people say have credibility, I can’t remember his name, I don’t know his name, but I read a story about him and he’s been covering the Middle East for 20 years. And he said, almost everybody in the Middle East knows that there is always a stash of uranium when it comes to the Iranian people, that they have at least enough uranium stored in other locations to make two to three atomic bombs.

And it is at weapons grade already at 80 or 90 percent. And that we did not stop their nuclear capability. And the idea that the American bombing mission was the greatest mission since Jimmy Doolittle’s raid on Tokyo or some other thing, I was listening today to all of these news shows saying this was probably the greatest airstrike since World War II.I mean, these people don’t even remember things that happened when Reagan ordered the bombing of Libya and France wouldn’t even let us use the airspace. And we had to go around France. And the same thing happened with George Bush in Iraq. They had to go from the United States all the way to Iraq, bypass France, bypass two or three other countries in order to do the mission. I’m sorry, the air conditioning is on. It’s 110 real fuel degrees outside. And usually I don’t have the air on, but I can’t keep it up right now or everybody upstairs will bake to death. So you might hear this little rumbling in the background you normally don’t hear. That’s the air conditioning coming on and off during this broadcast. I do this usually, like I said, right through from beginning to end most of the time. When we get back to this idea, did they get the nuke material all destroyed? We don’t know. And then I listened to an Israeli Mossad agent, in my opinion, though he claims he’s just an expert, an Israeli expert on the Middle East and Mossad, then saying that in a way we probably would have been better off if we did not use those bunker-busting bombs on that place in Iran, because now the entire access to the material 300 feet below the surface of the earth is now totally collapsed. You can’t get anybody down there. So we don’t know what’s down there, and the Israelis don’t know what’s down there. What they had planned to do if we didn’t use those bunker-busting bombs, they had planned to send commando raiders there.

There’s nobody in there anyway because they’re all running for their lives in Iran because Israel has complete air superiority over the entire nation. And they were going to send commandos down there, hopefully in radiation suits, and they were going to inspect the place, set charges, and destroy it from within. And this person I was listening to this morning was saying that that was the sure way to know if there was anything there. And like I said, he was saying he’s not even sure that there was any nuclear material there in that location when we bombed it with the bunker-busting bombs, and that the Iranians knew months ago to move that material into other hidden locations that no one knows about. I don’t know if that’s true or not. I’m just reporting something. But I predicted yesterday that all of this great hero-worshiping of this mission and of Donald Trump was probably going to have some flaws in it when facts come out. I did not think, by the way, facts would come out within 12 hours. I’ll give you an example. Last night, we’re going to bed. I get up early, so I go to bed early, and we heard Donald Trump, congratulations, I have won peace in the Middle East. There is a ceasefire that Israel will stop bombing Iraq, I mean Iran, and Iran will stop, and everybody’s going to go to the talking tables. And then I said to Tammy, my wife, I said to Tammy, you know, it’s funny, but we don’t hear Israel saying that. As a matter of fact, they’re not saying a word, it said. And Iran was saying, there’s no such ceasefire that we know about.

And so by morning, here we have, I’m turning on the TV in the morning, and guess what? Donald Trump is swearing at both Netanyahu and Iran, but especially Israel, our so-called friend, no longer a friend of Donald Trump’s, for breaking a ceasefire, which he declared, which no one agreed to, evidently. No one agreed to it. That’s what it looks like to me. This man thinks the whole world, like some God, thinks that he can just make a statement, and the whole world’s going to listen to him. How did that work with Ukraine and Putin, by the way? How did that work that day one, that war’s going to end? How did that work? It didn’t work out very well, did it? How did it work out with Trump’s negotiations with China so far? We’re caving. You know, the taco label on Donald Trump’s going to get wind here before long. And this was not the Donald Trump that I remember in 2017 and 2018. But I think it seems plausible to me, and I’ve heard other people say it, not on TV, not in the media, because I think the media is just a bunch of buffoons themselves. But I’ve heard other people tell me they think that Donald Trump just had a lot better people around him back in the first administration, that when he started thinking about things that was off the reservation, he would be steered back to sanity.

And sometimes, business people like Donald Trump, who are used to making decisions, if they’re good or bad, get their way, and nobody ever stands up to them. Well, a president can’t be that. A president has to stand up to no one but himself and Congress and the Supreme Court and the American people. It’s not like running some company of your own that you make a decision, good or bad, and everybody’s got to follow suit, or they get fired. Well, you can’t fire Congress. You can’t fire the Supreme Court. I know he thought he could, but you can’t fire the American electorate. We have an election coming up in about a year and, what, four months, and it appears to me that if the things happen this summer that I think is going to happen, I’m afraid that we are going to see an absolute landslide in Congress and that the Democrats are going to have such control of Congress, and maybe even the Senate, that the next two years after that is just impeachment and just total nonsense, the economy crashing. It’s just going to be terrible, and I’m afraid of that. I wanted Donald Trump to succeed. I still wish he could succeed. I’m talking the way I am because maybe somehow people will put pressure, pressure on the Republican people in Congress to have a backbone and stand up against this unbelievable, wasteful, big, beautiful budget bill of his, which is going to increase the deficit by $5 trillion, and don’t believe this nonsense we’re going to get the money back from tariffs.

Tariffs is going to destroy this economy. We don’t even see the results of tariffs yet. Tariffs are going to hit us in June and July, and the reporting is not going to show until July and August. By Labor Day, good day to pick, by Labor Day, we’re going to find a real problem with the American economy. We’re going to see inflation like Joe Biden never could imagine if things do not change. Now, I am still hopeful. I got to say, after I rant and rave as bad as Donald Trump here, I’m still hopeful that something is going to get to him and convince him that these tariffs are a bad idea. It is okay to find certain things with China, and even though I get all my raw materials from China, I don’t have a problem with picking a fight with China, but not picking a fight that you don’t need with China as well. When you are getting all of your raw material of a certain industry from China, then you have to build that industry up internally in America before you go to war. Any good general knows you don’t just go to war when you’re not ready, because if you go to war when you’re not ready, you’re going to lose, and you’re going to lose bad. We’re going to lose these tariff fights. Now, I’m hoping that with all of this problem with Iran, with all of these things going bad for Donald Trump, and I’m hoping that he starts stepping back from the tariffs. I don’t think he’s going to. I just have a strange feeling he’s not going to, but I’m hoping, beyond hope, that he starts listening to people who can explain the results of these high tariffs with our trading partners, with Canada, with Europe. I know Europe’s going to be the beast someday, but they’re not there yet.

Let’s not help them get there quicker than they need to be. We need to keep these people on our side while we’re facing the Soviet Union, or I should say Russia, the former Soviet Union, and China, and North Korea, and Iran, and some of these other bad players out there. I got news for you. Qatar, where Donald Trump thinks is the greatest Arab country right now, and he’s getting money from them personally, they sponsor terrorism around the world like Iran did. They’re playing good guy, bad guy, and they’re kind of like a little squirmy, and I wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw them. I think the people of Dubai, I think the people of Kuwait, whose butt we saved from Saddam Hussein, and I think the people of Egypt and the people of Jordan, they really do want to be a part of the American West and of Israel and absolutely move their countries out of third world poverty into the modern world, like what Dubai has done, of enriching their people and not worrying about having to kill their people to keep them in line.

I think it’s a lot easier for a leader to have happy people. If you have happy subjects, even if you’re a king, if you have happy subjects, you probably are not going to be dethroned very quickly. But when you have a bunch of people really mad at you, it’s bad news. But I wanted to get back to one last thing, and then we’re going to wrap it up for today, about Iran itself and the Iranian people. We put up a short YouTube video yesterday again, explaining just how life was in Iran in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s. Those people who are historians, like myself, who love to remember history and watch everything about history I can watch or read about, recall, I’m old enough to recall, how good life was in two places in the Middle East that today are hell holes. Do you know if you were in the 1960s and you wanted a Mediterranean paradise with sidewalk cafes overlooking the Mediterranean, with beautiful beaches and people who are friendly and loved America and loved the Western world, you would find that in, of all places, Beirut, Lebanon. Beirut, Lebanon was so pro-West, so full of coffee shops and storefront beach shops and everything you could imagine that you would think is the French Riviera, and it was Beirut. And now look at it.

Well, the same thing with Iran. If you were an American that was working for, let’s say, Lockheed or Boeing, doing work in Iran, you would have been able to see a country that was the most modern, pro-Western, Muslim nations on the face of the earth. Women wearing miniskirts and bikinis on the beach, men wearing Western garb and liquor being allowed, in fact, having bars and nightclubs and discotheques. Even to this day, we think about Saudi Arabia. Well, do you know, I have a friend of mine who has a friend who was caught with one bottle of vodka in his suitcase entering into Saudi Arabia to do some work, an American, with a bottle of vodka that he’d forgotten about. And you know what happened to him? He spent one year in a Saudi Arabian jail. The Americans didn’t even try to get him out, because it is against Sharia law to drink alcohol. And this person, an American citizen, spent an entire year in a Saudi prison. And I haven’t seen one, but I bet you my bottom dollar that a Saudi prison is probably as bad as anything we can find out in El Salvador or Nicaragua or any of these other places Donald Trump’s sending all these deportees. And one year in prison for having a bottle of vodka in his suitcase, that didn’t happen in Iran. In the 1960s, 1970s, Americans partied in discotheques, the ones working on our airplanes for the Iranian pilots, were some of the best trained pilots in the world with all-American F-4s at the time and very close allies to the United States. And Jimmy Carter cut the Shah of Iran down the back when he was ousted from power instead of supporting the man.

No, that wouldn’t happen. And it wouldn’t happen to you listening to me right now. You would not tolerate it.So why, as a world-leading nation that we are, like it or not, we have all these A-bombs, H-bombs, and everything else, when we’re the target of the world, and the United States is the target of the evil world, why would you want to negotiate with people sworn to wipe you off the face of the earth? Why would you want to negotiate with Charles Manson and say, I want to get on your good side, and I want to make a treaty with you that you won’t harm my family, even though you say you will. I want to somehow bribe you off that you won’t do it. And that is the idiocy, that is the naivety of people who absolutely do not know human nature.

Well, if you want to know human nature, I will just sum it up here. Start reading your Bible. Start in the Old Testament. Find out how harsh that Old Testament God was on the people, and maybe you’ll know why. That Old Testament God, by the way, was none other than the that we know as Jesus Christ. Whenever you read about the God who leveled cities and ordered the deaths of men, women, and children, that God, that Yahweh, Jehovah, was none other than Jesus Christ before he became here as a man. You can prove it. It’s easily proved. Any good search will prove it any good study, or the plain truth Bible that you can get on Amazon. We prove it to ad nauseum, chapter after chapter, verse after verse, and in all kinds of commentaries from all over, experts, and knowing the words. And people just are ignorant of what’s in the Bible. They’re proud of that fact. But read the Bible for yourself. Read what God does to evil people. He orders their destruction. We believe erroneously that we’re supposed to forgive everybody. We’re supposed to forgive that person who says he’s going to kill us, and just give him our weapons, because we have faith in God that he’s going to protect us. And you know what’s going to happen? The person’s going to take that weapon and shoot you dead, if that’s what they said they were going to do.

You think that the same God who you think says you have to forgive everybody, even if they are trying to do harm, wasn’t he the God that said, I’m going away, now you have to take your sword? Yeah. Didn’t he say that? You can find that. Jesus say you have to take your sword with you. Look that up. Isn’t that the same God as Jesus Christ, not in the Old Testament, in the New Testament? Isn’t this the same person who says to his disciples that when he returns, there’s going to be the gnashing of the teeth of all the people who sinned against him, who caused all these problems in the world, the retribution, the total destruction of these people? Well, it looks like God is practicing what he tells you not to practice. No, that’s not the way it goes, my friends. Read the Bible. Understand the entire Bible. Don’t read the Bible through some other person’s eyes, not even mine. Don’t listen to me. Read it for yourself, but read it like it says what it means. Don’t look it up after you read something it didn’t make sense to you because you’re saying, well, that’s not very Christian.

You look it up and some theologian explains away that verse instead of explaining exactly what that verse means, that Christ is coming back to destroy those trying to destroy God’s way and God’s people, utterly destroy them, obliterate them from the book of life. That’s what it says. Read the Bible. Don’t listen to me all the time. Just read the Bible and realize what you’re supposed to do. It’s all there, but you got to read it and believe it. And it’s hard in this modern world to believe everything there. I sometimes have problems believing stuff there because it just seems so supernatural, but it’s real. I’ve proven it to myself.
