(0:05) God bless America again, you must know the trouble that she’s in. (0:20) Wash her pretty face, dry her eyes and then. (0:28) God bless America again.(0:32) Well, hello, this is Bob Barney with the Noontime Plain Truth Today update. (0:38) And started out with a song by Bobby Bear, a 1960s, 70s Cousin Western star singer. (0:46)

And we do hope that God blesses America again.(0:50) And today I’m thinking that maybe God is blessing America again. (0:54) And the people that have fasted and prayed and want God in our lives and in this nation’s lives, (1:02) maybe listen to. (1:05) And I want to go over a few examples of help for the people of Hurricane Helene (1:12) and how strangers have come to their aid.(1:16) Strangers who believe in God for the most part I can guarantee you (1:19) that are going the extra mile in order to save people, (1:25) their possessions, help them rebuild and give them aid and comfort and everything. (1:30)

A story from New Jersey of all places. (1:34) Cody Coburn remembers the days after Superstorm Sandy devastated the Jersey Shore in 2012.(1:41) I was, this is a quote, I was in chest deep water for a week, said Coburn, who was only 16 at the time. (1:49) He remembers that in the initial days after the Storm Sandy, (1:53) the bulk of the help he saw was average people coming to the aid of those needing it in the worst destruction. (2:00) As always, the federal government was the last to show up.(2:03) Coburn also remembers how strangers stepped up to help him and his family (2:08) after he had a horrible motorcycle crash in 2018 where he actually lost a leg. (2:16) He was then only 23 and his father of two, and was a father of two, I’m sorry, (2:21) when his motorcycle collided with a Range Rover on a Saturday night in Lincoln, (2:27) I’m sorry, East County Line Road in Lakewood, New Jersey. (2:31) Thousands of dollars were raised and donated to help him with his medical expenses even then.

(2:38) That’s why when Coburn’s sister told him about the devastation from the Tropical Storm, (2:43) by then it was a Tropical Storm by the time it hit the Carolinas, (2:47) by the Tropical Storm Helene, he decided he had to do something. (2:52) Coburn is now organizing donation collections and airlifts of items to North Carolina and South Carolina (2:59) where hundreds of thousands remain without power and in need of critical necessities. (3:05) Coburn’s sister, who works for the Woodruff Township Police Department in South Carolina, (3:11) not far from Asheville, where some of the worst destruction has been, (3:15) she is also near Greenville, South Carolina, and there has been significant damage there as well.

(3:22) Tom said there are elderly and babies in that area, (3:26) and they’re not going to have the power in that area for a month. (3:31) Coburn, who is now 29, owns Cole Home Construction in Toms River, New Jersey, (3:36) and he is coordinating, along with Jersey Aero Flying Club, where his cousin is a member, (3:43) they’re flying donations and goods to the Carolinas, (3:47) where they will be dropped out by helicopter to the people that are isolated and need it (3:52) because of washed out roads and downed trees. (3:55) Coburn said his sister has shared photos and videos from the area, (3:59) and they show complete destruction, which we’ve all seen that now.(4:03) He said, Tom said, it’s like Farmingdale had 25 feet of water, (4:08) the entire town has been washed away, unquote. (4:10) One video in particular, showing footage from cameras facing the river in one town, was heart-wrenching, (4:17) and homes go past the cameras floating down the river with what appears to be a family of four, (4:24) mother, father, son, and daughter, on the roof, Coburn said. (4:28) Ironically, that turned out to be a grandfather, a grandmother, a daughter, and a little boy who died.

(4:34) It is a terrible story we mentioned earlier, and it still bothers me to this day, (4:38) and yes, I do plan on having a story on that family later on. (4:46) The story goes on and said, (4:47) It struck a nerve with Coburn, who has suffered painful losses in the last six years himself. (4:52) After treatment to recover from the loss of his leg in 2021, (4:55) he and his high school sweetheart suffered the loss of their seven-week-old son, (4:59) who died of a bacterial infection in his lungs that causes heart failure.(5:04) Coburn’s mother died just weeks after that. (5:07) He said, (5:08) I was in a really dark place. (5:10) That’s why he was driven to help the victims of Helene.(5:16) He has been coordinating locally with the Surf City Volunteer Fire Department (5:20) and others who are trying to bring aid to the people in the Carolinas. (5:25) Six planes have been arranged through the Jersey Aero Club, (5:29) with two headed to Greenville, South Carolina, and the other four to Asheville. (5:33) Because so many areas are cut off with the roads destroyed, (5:36) critical items are going to be airdropped by helicopter, said Coburn.(5:42) As of Saturday morning, and this is two weeks ago, (5:45) two planes have flown from Lakewood toward the Carolina with donations. (5:49) The items most needed right now are blankets and camping equipment. (5:53) They are collecting medications such as Advil, Motrin, (5:56) medical supplies like Band-Aids and bandages, flashlights, batteries, diapers of all sizes, (6:02) wipes, baby wipes, baby food, baby formula, feminine hygiene products, (6:07) including pads and tampons, toiletries, flushable wipes, powdered milk, (6:12) non-perishable foods such as canned tuna, canned chicken, canned openers, (6:17) granola bars, breakfast bars, dry cereals, and dog and cat food, (6:23) because there are many cats and dogs that need to be taken care of as well, as he pointed out.

(6:28) Donations can be dropped off at the Lakewood Municipal Airport, (6:32) and he asked for other people to donate. (6:35) He was very happy to say that total strangers have come up to him (6:39) and to the people in New Jersey asking if they could help themselves. (6:46) In other stories, I’m going to go through a few stories here, (6:49) and then I’m going to talk about God saving America again.(6:52) Another story, Nate Fackler, I hope I pronounced his name right, (6:58) an 18-year-old who’s only had his pilot’s license for one year has gone to the rescue, (7:06) and he is, even though he’s not from the area, flew in, (7:09) and he is flying in materials and aid to people in North Carolina who need help. (7:16) He’s only 18 years old, he’s only had his pilot’s license for a year, (7:19) and he is doing everything he can do to bring aid to the people who need it. (7:27) In another story, a Tennessee couple who went to North Carolina in order to have their anniversary (7:35) found themselves knee-deep in water in Hurricane Helene, (7:39) and they found themselves in a very desperate situation.(7:44) The couple’s name, just read this, is Ben and Amanda Gibson, (7:48) and they were thankful to be alive. (7:50) He said, you feel everything shake around you, (7:52) and it was just, everything was gone, and we were up to our necks in water. (7:56) The two were celebrating their sixth wedding anniversary at the time when the storm struck, (8:01) and Amanda said, we were completely shocked, I was bursting into tears, (8:05) I was like, when she opened the door, and there were two women there to help clean up (8:10) and get them some help and aid, she said, their selfishness is everything.

8:15) Two complete strangers showed up at our door, which was underwater, (8:20) and we were sitting up on the second floor, and they came to help us. (8:25) They’ve lost their jobs themselves, they have no work, they were maids at a local hotel, (8:30) without a job anymore, but they’re going around the community, (8:33) helping strangers to get what they need to get out of town, (8:39) or to get at least fed, or clothing, or blankets, or whatever. (8:43) And she said, to this day, I don’t know even who the two were.(8:48) Many private pilots are flying in aid day and night, day and night, and it’s just amazing. (8:55) The last story I wanted to get to touches home. (8:58) As I mentioned many times, my wife and I and family, we own a paint manufacturing company.(9:04) We manufacture mainly automotive, marine, and aircraft paint. (9:08) And we have many customers all over the United States. (9:11) And we have one particular customer in North Carolina, Shenandoah Junction, (9:18) named Aaron Raines, who owns Shenandoah Metal Fabrication in Shenandoah Junction.(9:25) And a customer of Tampco, he uses Tampco products, he makes metal signs, metal flags, (9:31) really nice patriotic things. (9:33) Actually, if you guys want to help people that do good for others, (9:38) take care of the little guy out there. (9:40) Buy from the little paint companies, buy from the neighborhood repair shops (9:46) that are there to be honest for you.

(9:48) And this guy here does a great job. (9:50) He makes, like I said, he makes metal signs, metal flags for patriots, stuff like that. (9:57) And following Hurricane Helene, Aaron began gathering supplies to take down to North Carolina (10:01) to offer some assistance for the devastated families of that storm.(10:06) Aaron shared that while he was planning stages and in collection of things (10:10) needed by the locals who have lost everything, if not everything, (10:16) Aaron’s young son named Kip asked his father, (10:20) what could he do to help the kids in the area? (10:22) And he wanted to start collecting matchbox cars (10:26) and then travel with his dad to Asheville and hand them out to other kids (10:30) to show him that he cared and he wanted to help. (10:32) Kip is, by the way, a six-year-old kindergarten student from Lowry (10:38) and set the goal of collecting 600 matchbox cars. (10:43) Just to make a point here, we are going to have this story that I’m reading (10:47) up on The Plain Truth today.(10:49) It should already be there by the time this broadcast comes on at noon. (10:53) And you can read all about it and you can read about the company that Aaron owns (10:58) and what they do, telephone number. (11:00) And like I said, I think Americans need to support other Americans (11:04) who support everybody that needs help.

(11:08) Anyway, going on, Aaron said, (11:10) I reached out to C.J. Miller of C.J.M. Industries in North Carolina (11:13) and told him that my son wanted to help kids in that area with matchbox cars. (11:19) Aaron went on to share that Kip wanted to personally share those matchbox (11:22) and Hot Wheels cars with kids that were in need in the affected areas. (11:26) When heading to North Carolina, Aaron said he reached out to George Henry (11:31) of Hot Rods by George in Denver, North Carolina, (11:35) who jumped on board and rounded up almost 500 matchbox cars (11:40) in just a five-day period.(11:42) Kidwell Plumbing locally donated the first $100 towards purchasing cars (11:47) and to set Kip back on track for his first purchase of nearly 82 cars. (11:51) Other donations came from Raymond Stubbs, Shenandoah Metal, (11:57) which is Aaron’s company, John and Kathy Blue, C.J.M. Industries, (12:01) and North Carolina Foothills Die Cast Club, (12:04) Constantine Kosmokogan, and Kenny Arnold, along with Hot Rods by George. (12:09) These are people that are just small businesses and small, good people (12:13) doing their best to help even the kids affected by this storm.(12:17) Aaron shared that the venture was a success. (12:19) Kip wants to continue to collect cars for another potential trip to North Carolina (12:24) as well as the cars for children in other areas that also face natural disasters. (12:29) He would like to keep doing this down the road.(12:32) This kid is six years old, by the way. (12:35) Those who are interested in helping Kip and helping others (12:38) can reach out to Aaron at Shenandoah Metal Fab (12:42) for details on donating the cars and his telephone number, (12:46) and you can find this on the Plain Truth today. (12:49) Not the Plain Truth today, but the Plain Truth on today’s main page articles, (12:56) but his telephone number is area code 304-596-3535.

(13:02) And I just wanted to go on now for the rest of the program, (13:05) just my take on everything that’s going on. (13:08) As the show started out with God Bless America Again, (13:13) because we need God to bless this country again. (13:15) This country has fallen off its path.(13:17) This country is in deep trouble with God, in my opinion. (13:21) This country has thrown God out of its schools. (13:24) It’s thrown God out of its courthouses.(13:26) It’s thrown God out of its politics. (13:28) Heck, last week Camilla Harris, after a woman mentioned Jesus Christ, (13:32) said this is not the place to talk about Jesus Christ. (13:35) That’s how popular God is with Democrats and Camilla Harris, (13:39) and we should remember that during the election that’s coming up in just two weeks.(13:44) The country as a whole, its leadership as a whole, (13:49) has rejected God’s laws and God’s ways and God’s love. (13:53) There are millions of Americans, however, who do love God, (13:57) who do do the work of God, and who come to the rescue of total strangers (14:03) when that rescue is needed. (14:05) And I’m very proud to say that these Americans are probably (14:10) what is keeping this country glued together long enough for God to save America again.(14:16) Because personally, and I’ve said this in other broadcasts that I’ve done, (14:21) I don’t see why God should give America a second chance (14:24) in the way that God is being treated by the leadership of this country (14:29) and many of the Americans of this country. (14:32) I believe in one of the last polls, (14:34) nearly a third of Americans no longer believe in any God, (14:37) and especially the God of Jesus Christ and the Father in Heaven. (14:42) And that’s a total shame.

(14:44) And we had a, again, with Camilla Harris, (14:47) refusing to even go to the Catholic function, the Al Smith dinner, (14:51) the other night that Donald Trump went to, (14:53) and that, again, it just shows the disdain for Catholics, for example. (14:59) I’m not a defender of the Catholicism or the Catholic faith, as you know, what I think, (15:06) but the mainstream members of the Catholic Church are Christians, (15:11) and the participating ones who follow the will of God, (15:15) who do love their neighbor, who do try to do best as they know best how to do, (15:21) deserve to have respect. (15:23) And we have an entire political party (15:25) that no longer respects the Christian religion or Christian people.(15:29) They go out of their way to accept and adopt the ways of the Muslims (15:33) or of other faiths or even no faiths at all, (15:37) the Communist Manifesto-type no-God idea, (15:41) but they go out of their way again to insult people of faith, (15:46) be it Protestants, Catholics, Christians of any denomination, you name it. (15:52) And so, like I have said in the past, (15:54) I don’t see why God should give America another chance, (15:57) but because there are millions of Americans out there (16:00) who this year have prayed for this country, have prayed for Donald Trump. (16:05) I think maybe that kept Donald Trump alive, personally, through two assassination attempts, (16:10) and who have fasted and prayed on, like, June 14th.(16:14) There was a national day that we really promoted of fasting and prayer on June 14th, (16:20) which was Flag Day and Donald Trump’s birthday, (16:22) to fast and pray for the salvation of America, (16:26) that America admits their sins to God and does something about it, (16:31) and that is turn around, pray to God, fast, and ask for forgiveness. (16:36) The Bible is clear. God is clear.(16:39) If Americans, if just you ask God to forgive what you have done wrong, (16:44)

God is true to forgive you. (16:46) God wants a repentant heart and someone who believes in the laws of God (16:51) and to obey those laws. That’s that simple.(16:54) And so I think enough people in this country have petitioned God (17:02) for the salvation of this country, and I believe, (17:05) and we’re going to see this in two weeks, I’m predicting right now, (17:08) and I’ve said so for the last month and a half, (17:10) I believe this is going to be a blowout election, (17:13) because I think there are enough Americans who are crying at what is going on (17:18) in this nation under the Democrat rule, which has kicked God out of this country (17:22) and trying to kick God out of all of our lives, (17:26) and I think enough people have petitioned God through fasting and prayer (17:30) that this is going to be a major turnaround election (17:36) and America is going to be in good graces with God again (17:42) at least for another four years, (17:43) maybe if after Donald Trump, J.D. Vance becomes president for eight more years (17:50) and enough good Republicans and maybe some good Democrats will wake up (17:56) and kick the people out of their party that have destroyed their party, (18:01) who have been anti-American, pro-communist, pro-Muslim, and pro-European, (18:06) that these people get thrown out of the Democratic Party (18:10) and the Democrats return to a party that cares about America first. (18:15) You know, when I was a kid, I didn’t always agree with the liberal Democrats, (18:18) but those Democrats at the time did put America first. (18:23) F.D.R. was a liberal Democrat, (18:25) but F.D.R. allowed no American troops in World War II to go under commands (18:29) of the British or the French or any other nation.

(18:33) As a matter of fact, all other nations had to go under the command of two American generals. (18:39) In the Pacific, it was General Douglas MacArthur, (18:42) and in the European War, it was Dwight David Eisenhower, (18:46) who would later become president of the United States. (18:49) So there was a time when Democrats did put America first before other countries’ interests.(18:55) That went away, and so many Republicans have followed suit, by the way. (18:59) The Rhino Republicans, the George Bushes, and the George Bush Juniors, (19:03) or King George I and King George II, as I like to call them, (19:07) they themselves were globalists who put the efforts of what was best (19:11) for the globalists of this world before what was best for the American people. (19:15) And George Bush, both of them, got us into wars in Iraq and the Middle East (19:20) that we should have never been in, and because of that, (19:22) many Americans were killed, maimed, and their lives destroyed to this day (19:29) because we’re fighting wars of globalism and not for what was best for Americanism.(19:36) Donald Trump has put an end to that, and if he’s reelected, (19:39) and I believe he will be reelected, he will put an end to these foreign wars (19:45) that are draining the blood of patriotic, good American kids (19:49) that need to have a full, good life of 70, 80, 90 years (19:54) and not be dead at 19 years old in some foreign desert. (19:59) Fighting a war they have no right, no good reason to be in. (20:04) And that’s why I think it’s time for the American people (20:08) to realize that God is taking a stand in this country, (20:13) and God is going to allow people’s prayers to save this country to be fulfilled, (20:22) and I think we’re going to see the miracles already that have started happening.(20:26) I think Donald Trump’s life to be alive, and especially in Pennsylvania, (20:29) and some of the other things that’s happened, shows God’s hand. (20:33) I actually believe these hurricanes have shown God’s hands, (20:36) and you would say, how would God want to send hurricanes (20:40) and kill all these people in order to save America? (20:44) Well, one of the things you can say is maybe God didn’t send the hurricanes, (20:47) but what God did do was allow those hurricanes to do what they did, (20:51) and to show two different states, for example, Florida versus North Carolina, (20:57) a Florida Republican governor versus a North Carolina Democratic governor (21:02) who basically stayed in Raleigh for a while and waited for FEMA, (21:06) where the Florida governor DeSantos took action immediately on his own (21:11) and did not wait for FEMA. (21:12) But the good news about all of this and what this program is really about today (21:16) is that the regular person out there, the Mary and the Joe, (21:21) the American citizen of all races, of all classes, rich, poor alike, (21:30) came to the rescue of total strangers (21:32) because they themselves believe in a God that requires us to do good works (21:39) and to do good things and to be a kindly neighbor to those who need a help up.

(21:48) I think it is not very hard to comprehend the idea when Jesus Christ said (21:55) when you are taking care of the poor among you, the downcast among you, (21:59) or those starving among you, you’re taking care of me. (22:04) I think when people who are, like I said, total strangers come and rescue people (22:10) that are knee-deep in water. (22:12) I read another story before preparing for this show, (22:15) how many first responders died in this storm, Helene, trying to help people.(22:23) Some drowned, some were swept away in their patrol cars. (22:27) One fire chief, I believe in South Carolina, I think it was South Carolina I read, (22:32) had a tree fall on his truck as he was driving down the road, and it killed him instantly. (22:37) There are many first responders, people who didn’t think of their own safety, (22:41) who jumped into the water.(22:43) There was a story I saw the other week, a video I watched, (22:46) of a guy jumping into the water, raging water, to save a woman who was drowning, (22:51) and he saved her, and he himself could have been swept away. (22:55) The river was raging, the water, it looked like I could not get through that water, (23:00) as bad as it was, and he got out there, and he rescued that woman, (23:04) a total stranger he did not even know. (23:07) This is what God requires.(23:11) Jesus said, to lay one’s life down for your neighbor is more important (23:17) than to keep your life at any expense. (23:21) That is not being godly. (23:22) So anyway, I wanted to give a plug to some of these heroes out there.

(23:28) I wanted to also give a personal plug to Aaron and his business and his son (23:32) for doing what they’re doing, Tamco Paint Customers, that uses our product, (23:38) that makes good, like I said, good metal objects for you, flags, and all kinds of things you want. (23:43) You name it, you can ask him to do it for you. (23:46) He’s done it his whole life.(23:47) He’s an expert at it, and he can do a good job, (23:49) and he’s a small American business which needs our help. (23:54) I always say, you know, when I got into the paint business in 1980, (23:58) there were about 116 automotive paint companies that manufactured automotive paint in America, (24:06) and the Big Five, which are still in extent today, had about a 20 or 25% market share. (24:12) Now we’re down to only 14 real paint manufacturing companies in America (24:17) that make automotive paint, and of those 14, the Big Five have a 99% market share, (24:25) and us little guys out there are divvying up that 1% market share.(24:30) It’s time that American people vote with their feet and with their dollars as well. (24:36) Don’t go to the big box stores all the time. (24:38) Try to find local neighborhood stores and people and businesses to support (24:44) because they’re the people in your community that’s going to come to your aid when you’re in trouble, (24:51) and they’re going to come to the aid of total strangers when they’re in trouble.

.(24:56) It’s time that America remembers small businesses. (24:59) American Express, to their credit, which Tamco Paint has always participated in, (25:05) has small business Saturdays, the Saturday after Thanksgiving, (25:08) where people are asked to buy from small businesses. (25:12) After Black Friday, when everybody goes to the Walmarts and the Best Buys and to the Targets, (25:19) Saturday comes along, a day later, and American Express asks people to support small, local, family, (25:26) usually family-run businesses, and like I said, Tamco Paint has been participating in that since 2017.(25:34) We’ve done very well doing that. (25:36) As a matter of fact, some years we did so well we couldn’t even get the products out in a timely manner (25:40) because we had so many orders, but that is little people taking care of other little people, (25:45) and that will make America great again, and that will also keep God looking at us and deciding, (25:51) you know what? I think I’m going to let these people slide. (25:54) I’m going to forgive their sins, and I’m going to rebuild their country, (25:57) and I’m going to make them a godly country again, and I will be their God, and they will be my people, (26:04) and that is what we need to do.

(26:05) We need to pull together. (26:07) We need to believe in the real God, and the real God is found in your Bible. (26:11) It’s not found anywhere else.(26:12) You can look and read any book you want to read. (26:15) You can read the Encyclopedia Britannica. (26:17) You can read every novel that’s ever been written, (26:20) but if you don’t read the Holy Bible and understand who God is (26:24) because God is Jesus Christ, the Lord God of the Old Testament, (26:28) and God the Father who is the God that is hidden in the Old Testament (26:33) and revealed by Jesus Christ in the New Testament.(26:36) There’s a reason why Jesus said, (26:39) No man has ever heard or seen the Father at any time. (26:43) So who did Moses see? (26:44) Who did David talk to? (26:46) Who did the prophets listen to? (26:47) It was the God who is the I am who I am. (26:51) Tell the people that I am has sent you.(26:53) Just go to John 8 and see what Jesus says about himself when he said, (26:59) Before Abraham was, I am, (27:04) revealing that he is the God who wrote the Ten Commandments with his own finger, (27:09) who talked to Moses, who was the best friend of a prophet (27:14) and a patriarch called Abraham, and he could be your best friend too. (27:19) He can be your God and Savior and everything else if you ask him to. (27:24) And this country, I think, has saved itself by its little people (27:29) praying to God for salvation, for forgiveness, and for help.

(27:35) And God will respond favorable to the people of a nation who ask for God’s guidance. (27:42) It’s about time we get rid of those politicians and leaders and businesses (27:47) who do not want to accept the God of heaven, Lord Jesus Christ, and God the Father. (27:53) And it’s about time that the American people stick together with other small businesses (27:57) who share the same goals and the same God.(28:01) This is Bob Barney for The Plain Truth today, saying I do thank you all for listening. (28:06) I do appreciate the emails that I get, and I do appreciate, you know, we do this on a little budget. (28:11) Nobody’s sending me any money, and don’t think I’m asking for money because I won’t accept your money.(28:15) If you’ve got money to give, give it to the people in North Carolina who need it right now, (28:19) or Florida, or Tennessee, or South Carolina, or Georgia, or Alabama. (28:25) Don’t send anything here because we won’t take it. We’ll send it back to you.(28:28) This is my tithe to God, this broadcast. (28:32) But what little bit I can do to help God’s Word along, I want to do it. (28:36) Remember, God is news. The Plain Truth is not a religious site. (28:41) It is a news site. But God is the biggest news maker, newscaster, and news predictor of all time.(28:50) And whatever God says will happen, will happen. (28:53) And He says so in the words of His Bible, the love letter to you and me, that He cares. (29:02) They care.

They care about our well-being and the well-being of this nation. (29:05) And if we continue to go to God in prayer, and fasting, and doing good works, (29:13) God will listen, God will heal, and God will bless. (29:17) Again, Bob Barney, until tomorrow on The Plain Truth Today, (29:20) brought to you by theplaintruth.com, saying goodbye and thank you for listening.
