 Bob Barney: June 29, 2026 US Iran deal off again

Well, if I said it once, I’ve said it a dozen or maybe a hundred times. When somebody starts saying there’s going to be peace in the Middle East, prepare for war. Hi, Bob Barney with The Play Truth today, brought to you by theplaytruth.com, and we’re back to what I predicted just on Friday wrap-up, and now it’s only Monday, about the coming war with Iran.

I will not say offhand right away that this whole thing that just happened Thursday night and Friday afternoon, after really the stock markets and the oil futures basically were closed, which also points towards manipulation on the Americans’ part. And maybe, who knows, maybe the Iranians, like Trump, are playing the markets and making things go up and down because they seem to go all over the place themselves. But the truth is, and the truth is that there is not going to be peace in the Middle East until Christ returns.

Excuse me. That’s a long-term thing that I have said from day one, and I’ve known this for 45 years. Only Jesus Christ is going to bring back peace in the Middle East.

And until then, whenever you hear somebody making peace in the Middle East, be prepared for war. It’s always been the case. Now, what’s going on here, I’m going to play a few soundbites.

What’s going on here is that simply Iran is playing a game against the United States because basically and frankly, I know this really bothers a lot of people. It bothers me, my friends, to say this, but we lost this war. We went into a war that we were not prepared for.

We thought it was going to be an easy knockoff like Venezuela because we have a person in charge of the Pentagon, Pete Hegseth, that really simply does not know what he’s doing. He convinced them there is all kinds of internal reports. If you take the time and you read all of the articles that has slipped out of the White House and you can say, well, a lot of this is fake media, I don’t disagree.

But a lot of it is true media. When you have reports of all kinds of controversy going on within the Pentagon, hey, you don’t have to say it’s fake media when you’ve had four or five top generals fired and they just happen to be the same generals or admirals in one case that predicted that we would be defeated in a war without planning in the Gulf. As a matter of fact, the admiral that was fired, and I don’t have his name offhand, the admiral that was fired was fired because he told Pete Hegseth before the war, you have not planned for this war, you have not even secured the Strait of Hormuz.

And Pete Hegseth believed that they didn’t have to worry about the Strait. They were going to annihilate Iran with bombs and not even realizing that the Iranian government doesn’t care about its people being bombed. You know, Germany did.

Japan even did in World War II. But I got news for you. These Ayatollahs, you can kill one afteranother, there will always be another.

That’s Satan. What you are dealing with with the radical Islamic faith is Satan, who has mind control over the leaders of the movement. And Satan wants everybody dead.

He wants you dead. He wants me dead. He wants all Christians dead.

But I got news for you. He wants all mankind dead. That’s the whole purpose.

When God created man in God’s own image, that absolutely ticked Lucifer, who became Satan,off. It ticked him off because he was created as an angel. And an angel can never be a god.

An angel can never be immortal. Only God has immortality. That’s what’s in the Bible.

It’s not from me. You can look, put a search, who has immortality in the Bible, and it’ll say three times, God only has immortality. No angel has it.

In fact, as I pointed out last week on a show on death, you can actually say that, or actually make the point, that after the end of the millennium, when Satan is released from his pit, before he’s thrown back into the lake of fire to do his damage, to see how many people would still follow God, it is suggested, and I believe very strongly suggested, that Satan himself is destroyed in that hellfire, ceases to be. Ceases to be. No longer.

Because angels are not immortal. Only God is immortal. And what made Satan upset was God made man in God’s image.

The angels are made in the angel’s image, and they look like beasts. You ever read the Bible of what a cherubim looks like, or a seraphim looks like? They look like animals. They look like beasts.

They don’t look like human beings. Man looks like God, who looks like us. You want to see what God looks like, look at a human being.

You want to know what a human being is made after, you look at God. It’s that simple. We’re going to be immortal once we are born again from the grave, if we are a Christian the first time around, or your second chance, if you’re not a Christian, if you make it after your lifespan, you will become the children of God and immortal.

That is what’s in the Bible, and nobody wants to seem to teach that. Not even a lot of the Church of God Seventh-day Churches want to really equate us to God, but that is what we are. We are going to be gods.

Jesus said, when they were accusing him of blasphemy, and he said, isn’t it not written in your law? He calls it your law. I like that. Isn’t it not written in your law? You are gods, says the Lord, because we are gods.

We are gods in the making, and that’s what’s got Satan so upset, and that’s why Satan wants to see every single human being destroyed, period. That’s what it’s all about, and so that will explain it. Let’s get a little take here from a news site called The Daily Jargon.

It’s a Pakistani, I’m sorry, it’s an Indian. It’s from India. It’s an Indian website.

Sometimes they get to real news going on. You gotta go outside this country, because the media in this country is probably the worst that it’s ever been. Let’s play this.

The peace deal is gone. The war is back, and this time it is bigger, deadlier, and more dangerous than anything we have ever seen before. What started as a targeted military operation has now spiraled into a full-scale regional war that is dragging in countries that never asked to be a part of this.

U.S. forces are striking deep inside Iran. Iran is hitting back at American military bases across the Middle East. The Persian Gulf, one of the most critical economic waterways on the entire planet, is now a war zone, and the country is caught in the middle.

Bahrain, Kuwait, and others in the Gulf are watching explosions on their doorstep. This is not a contained conflict anymore. This has the potential to unfortunately become the most consequential war of the 21st century, and it is happening right now.

It’s happening right now, and I’m going to get into some other takes here, but we are in a war we can’t find a way out of, and the reason we can’t find a way out of it, Trump is finding out that he can’t make the deals he thought he could make with a regime that is headed by Satan the Devil himself. He can offer them 300 billion dollars. They don’t care about money.

They don’t care about anything. They don’t care about their people. They don’t care about their own lives.

Remember, they are controlled by Satan the Devil. Now, I know you’re not going to go to any of the news site and hear that, because the truth is modern civilization, western civilization, simply does not believe that there is a devil. Most of them don’t even believe there’s a god, for pity sakes, but I don’t think any of them believes in the devil.

So, we go from there to what is the real cause, what’s going on here, and why God could accurately predict that there would never be peace in the Middle East until Jesus Christ returns,because God knows who is causing the war, who is causing this hatred, and these zombie-likefeelings of the Muslims fighting Israel, fighting America. It’s insanity, because their mind iscontrolled by the god of this world, Satan the Devil. It’s that simple.

And until we realize that as a people, and our news people, our newscasters realize that, we’re always going to have wars in the Middle East. And whenever we think we can walk away from it, like Donald Trump arrogantly thought he could walk away from it, the devil’s not going to let him walk away from it. The United States has got some more problems coming.

It’s going to be interesting, though, I haven’t really looked. I recorded this Sunday night, so I did this before Monday morning. It’s going to be interesting, though, if oil goes way back up again, which I probably will time you listen to this noontime Monday.

Probably is going to go up. But I got news for you. I do think the Trump family is making money, making big profits off this war.

And it’s just a problem that we got a problem with. So this is the deal I was talking about, and I want to read it to you. Whistleblowers and members of the Democratic Party are raising questions about the Kazakhstan mining project that has become linked to Donald Trump’s sons, saying in a recent post that $1.6 billion of your tax dollars is backing the venture that is now expanding the Trump family’s business footprint in critical minerals.

In the background here, last September, the president of Kazakhstan called Donald Trump andsaid he wanted to grant the tungsten mining rights to an American company, and the very next month, Eric and Don Jr. get a stake in the American company pursuing that deal. And it’s six dayslater, six days after Prince Eric and Prince Don get their stake in this new deal, the company gets started. It’s a brand-new startup company, and they get the deal from a very corrupt nation as it is.

The $1.6 billion figure refers to the United States government-backed finance and support for critical minerals project in that former Russian country. It comes at a time when the U.S. government is actively trying to reduce its dependence on China for critical minerals. Sounds good.

And I know there are many people out there, mega people, saying, well, Donald Trump is just trying to watch out for us. He wants to make sure we stop China’s dominance of rare earth materials. Well, that’s fine.

But why is it always his family are the people getting the contracts? Huh? Does that bother anybody? I guarantee it would have bothered people if it was the Bidens or the Obamas or the Clintons. It’s just amazing. The double standard, the people on the right, the conservatives, or they claim to be conservatives, used to have no double standards.

They used to be straight down the middle. You know where they stood. That’s not the case anymore.

And it goes on. This report just goes on to show that there is money to be made by the Trump family in these wars. So you have to wonder what the heck’s going on when it comes to that.

But getting back to the main point of this program about this Iran-United States Memorandum of Understanding, MOU, it’s called, falling apart, which, again, we predicted in this broadcast since day one. There is not going to be a good piece here because we went into this war unplanned. The problem is there is that any unplanned war is usually a war that you lose.

And we lost this war. It’s that simple. It really is that simple, that this war has gotten out of hand, and Donald Trump does not know what to do other than make his family money.

So I think there is this give and take on his part. In a way, he wants to end the war because he realizes he’s going to get shellacked in the November elections. However, the Democrats are trying really, really hard to make sure that doesn’t happen, because I’ve never seen a morecommunistic Democratic Party than we have right now.

They are absolutely a party in a destruction mode, worse than the Republicans ever have been. And so Donald Trump is being saved by this inept, and that’s what it is, by this inept Democratic Party. But I want to play another outtake here.

Did Iran break the deal? It’s another person’s point of view. I happen to agree. I don’t know who this guy is.

His name is Petty. He’s a black guy. It’s not Richard Petty.

But anyway, he’s got a talk show on YouTube, and I listened to it in preparing for this show. And I do kind of agree with a lot of the things the guy was saying. So let’s play this.

I appreciate all of your support. So some more breaking news. Just as I suspected, the United States retaliated on Iran tonight at 4.30 a.m. According to the U.S. military an Iranian one-way attack drone struck the Panama-flagged oil tanker MT Kakoo at approximately 4.30 a.m. while it was transiting near the Strait of Hormuz.

The tanker was reportedly carrying more than two million barrels of crude oil. The attack follows another recent strike on a cargo vessel MV Everlovely, making it the second reported attack on commercial shipping in just a few days. That first attack was on a Singapore ship.

The U.S. military responded quickly. According to the United States Central Command, American aircraft carried out a new round of strikes against Iranian military targets. This included military surveillance infrastructure, air defense systems, communication facilities, drone storage sites,Iranian mine-laying capability used to threaten shipping lanes.

CENTCOM said that the strikes were intended to protect international commercial ships anddescribe them as a direct response to Iran’s continued attack despite an existing ceasefireframework. Iran was given an opportunity to honor the ceasefire but instead launched another drone attack, says CENTCOM. The command also said U.S. forces remain vigilant, lethal, ready to defend freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

The situation has expanded beyond the tanker attack. Iran has reportedly launched drone and missile attacks against U.S.-linked military sites in the Gulf, including incidents involving Bahrain, according to multiple reports. Iran has also continued asserting tighter control over shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, increasing concerns for global energy markets.

And again, I said this before, the Strait is roughly 20 percent of the world’s seaborne oil that passes through the Strait of Hormuz. Any sustained attacks on commercial tankers could increase oil prices, raise shipping insurance, disrupt global energy supplies, increase the risk of broader military confrontation between the United States and Iran. So here’s the deal.

I’m going to show you what Trump put out and some other things. So what Trump said was United States aircraft just struck Iranian missiles in drone storage locations and coastal radar sites for violating the ceasefire agreement. Again, it is very possible that they will never learn.

There may come a point where we are no longer able to be reasonable and we will be forced to militarily complete the job that we very successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist. See, this right here is dangerous talk.

This is dangerous talk here for this guy to say that. If he was an adult, he would just go throughwith the strikes and stop just saying these bad things. You’re making them even madder.

And the other thing I wanted to talk about is, so yesterday Israel and Lebanon signed an agreement for the first time in 43 years of peace. Today, Israel has bombed Lebanon five times.See, there’ll never be peace.

I’ll break in right now. He’s right. There’s never going to be peace between Israel and its enemies because although this person is more anti-Israel, he’s most likely a liberal Democrat, but he’s got a lot of right sayings right here.

But Israel is not the problem. I agree that Israel is doing things that I believe is wrong. I don’t believe it’s right with all the civilian casualties, but I don’t know what you can do if you were Israel’s spot.

I don’t know what America would do if from schools and hospitals in Mexico, we’re starting to shell Houston, Dallas, all places, Phoenix, Arizona, and even from Tijuana, shelling Los Angeles. I wonder how many liberals whose houses would be destroyed, whose kids would be destroyed intheir schools with missiles that are being shot from the vicinity of Mexican hospitals and grammar schools. I wonder how many Americans would actually care, would actually care how manyinnocent children got killed when it was they being the ones being killed and attacked.

It’s so nice and easy to say Israel has no right to defend themselves. That’s the easiest thing inthe world to say. But it’s the most hypocritical thing to say as well.

Thank you. And we’re back. And what I wanted to finish up saying again, the last few minutes here on this show, is we do not seem to have a way out of this situation right now.

And I’m not 100% convinced that the president’s not torn between making money for his familyand ending this war. I do know, I think he wanted to end the war. That’s why he chose Vance to lead this delegation, because anyone who knows and listens to the insiders of this administration,they will tell you that the only person from get-go against this invasion of Iran was J.D. Vance.

He believed, I think rightfully so, there was no good planning for it. He also believed that it would cause a major upheaval in the oil supply. He predicted oil would be $125 to $150, so reports claim.

He was quite right about that. And predicted high gas prices would drive Americans in Novemberto the polls to pull the Democrat lever and would be a total wipeout, worst ever, this is hisprediction, it would be the worst ever of an incumbent president, and he would be impeached and maybe even removed from office. And J.D. Vance is saying something because if Trump wasremoved from office, he would be president.

So he must believe what he’s saying. And he actually stood against what the president wanted to hear, which if you understand this new Trump 2.0, people that don’t want to say what the president tells them to say usually don’t last very long, but it’s pretty hard to get rid of a vice president who was elected by the people constitutionally. You can’t fire him.

So J.D. Vance was given this position to try to make a deal. I think J.D. Vance cut a deal, which was basically a deal of surrender. And this deal would have happened, by the way, if we totally surrendered as J.D. Vance did in this MOU.

You can say this or not, but that is what it was. It was a total capitulation of America, but that’s why he found a way out of this war. And if Donald Trump basically shut his mouth and stopped retaliating and let Iran tell the world they won this war, the war would be over today.

The war would be over, gas would be down to $2.30 a gallon, and the American public would soon forget we were in the war because we have a short memory. And the Democrats would not do asgood as they should do in November. But like I said, the Democrats are their own worst enemy,and they want to keep putting communists up.

And I don’t think yet the majority of the people who actually vote in off-year elections… Remember, the people who vote in off-year elections are about half of what vote in a presidential year election. So the people who vote tend to be old-time Democrats, which I don’t believe are communists, and older-time Republicans, who is going to never vote for a Democrat. The great in-the-middle so-called independent vote, they basically split the same way as the national Democrat-Republican vote.

I explained that before. It’s a numbers game, and very few people decide elections. The one caveat is midterm elections are always usually a bloodbath for the incumbent presidency.

It happened under Reagan. It happened under Bush. It happened under President Trump in the first time around in the 2018 elections.

And again, in the 2018 elections, he simply did not try to protect the House. All he was worried about was being removed after impeachment. He said this to many of his aides, and many of the people that are now talking, because they’re not part of this new administration, admitted he thought being impeached was a great TV show, and that he wanted to make sure he couldn’t be removed from office by campaigning for Senate people.

And so he went overboard campaigning for the Senate and a main control of the Senate, and therefore they could not remove him after the impeachment. I think he enjoyed all of the impeachment proceedings against him because it made good television, and it really solidified his base, and that’s all he cares about. He don’t really care about what’s best for the whole American people.

He cares about his base. It’s very dangerous, in my opinion. Everything is arrogant, self-centered Trumpism, and it’s not what this nation needs right now.

I’m going to end up with this story that I listened to, and yes, I listened to it on CNN, the leftist news site, but sometimes you got to watch the news sites because if you’re going to listen to the so-called Fox News or News Nation or some of these Newsmax, all you’re going to hear is a cheerleader for Donald Trump, and he’s got this plan. Sounds like QAnon. He’s got this plan that’s going to solve everything because he’s like the Messiah.

And so you have to listen to other news, and in our case, you got to listen to CNN, you got to listen to, believe it or not, MSNOW, but especially foreign press. I do like to listen to the press in India, for example, or other Asian countries, or even European, because you got to know what the rest of the world is thinking about us, don’t you? So listen to this from CNN. Violence, which obviously is a spiral.

Thank you very much, Kristen. I want to go now to Brett McGurk and Colonel Cedric Layton. Colonel Layton, so you hear that, as Kristen says, now Iranian state media is also saying that the IRGC is retaliating against multiple U.S. military sites in the region.

So how big of an escalation is this? There was the cargo ship last night, and then now you’ve had, within the space of hours, real back and forth with real targets and American military bases, targets again. Yeah, and I think it’s a significant escalation, and it’s something that could very well spiral out of control if it’s not contained. Of course, nature of the escalation will depend on exactly which areas, which bases, U.S. bases, the Iranians strike or target.

And if they are successful in doing something like what they did against the Fifth Fleet’s headquarters base in Bahrain, or against Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia a few weeks ago, that of course could spark a major escalation and could result in a resumption of hostilities. So this is something where I think the Iranians are definitely playing with fire, and it might not end well, depending on how this goes and how far each side lets it go. Brett, you’ve served four presidents and dealt with every Iranian negotiation.

So what do you see happening here right now? I see, Erin, the Revolutionary Guard is calling the shots in Tehran, literally. They’re calling the shots in the Strait of Hormuz, firing drones at ships. They’re calling the shots with Hezbollah.

They direct Hezbollah. If Hezbollah wants to fire into Israel and basically destabilize that front,they can do it. Today, the U.S. stopped the victory lap that Iran has been on since this MOU has been signed by showing that we will actually strike back if you’re going to fire at ships.

I think that was a significant move by the administration’s part. It’s the right thing to do. Hopefully, it can remain contained, but now we’re in a tit-for-tat.

Every time there’s a tit-for-tat with Iran, Erin, they insist on having the last shot. You might remember even the Soleimani strike. They launched missiles at our base, and then some guys put a ceiling on it.

So I’m not surprised they took another shot. Whether it goes up the ladder from there, we’ll have to see. But today, the State Department, very important agreement between Israel and Lebanon, in which basically it says Hamas has to disarm, talking about potential peace between Israel and Lebanon.

That’s a long way down the road. But it’s contrary, totally contrary, to how Iran is reading the MOU and basically its influence, that it has the seat at the table in Lebanon. That’s also important.

But this gets to your point, Erin, that you led with. Nobody agrees on what the MOU actually says.Nobody agrees with what the MOU actually says.

I’ll leave it there. That’s the problem here. We found ourselves in a quagmire that I don’t believe this administration can find its way out of.
