Are we the Modern Romans? Part 2 (Transcript)

All roads lead to Rome. Hi, this is Bob Barney again. 

In part two, comparing Roman history with America, we talked about yesterday, a booklet I came in contact with in 1974 called, Are We the Modern Romans? Believe it or not, we are in many ways. We are making the same mistakes that Rome made both when they were a republic and when it became a dictatorship under the Cesars. WE are following the same path where our Republic is being transformed within our very eyes today, with our news headlines, our republic is being transformed into a dictatorship. When you have the FBI targeting enemies of the Biden family, or enemies of the Deep State, illegally putting people in jail and denying them the rights of the Constitution, namely the Bill of Rights; the right to a lawyer, a trial, a guarantee of Habeas Corpus, then you know we are edging toward a dictatorship. It has been going on for a while.

We had an article a few weeks ago on The Plain Truth’s main page about Abe Lincoln, a war criminal. The truth is, he was a war criminal. Did you know and I don’t know the exact notes in front of me right now, but did you know Abe Lincoln when he was president, ordered the entire delegation of the Maryland legislature in jail for disagreeing with him? We were not at war with Maryland, so you couldn’t say it was like Va or South Carolina, or Georgia because they lost their rights in the civil war, we are talking about a northern state that didn’t agree with Abe’s policy so much so that he put them all in jail, including their supreme court. I believe even one of our supreme court justices also disagrees. He jailed his enemies. Sounds like a dictatorship. He passed laws that were totally unconstitutional. HE acted like the Bush’s, Clintons, Obama, and the Clintons do today. They trashed the Constitution. They are traitors to the Constitution and so was Lincoln. We think of him as a straight leader that led us through the Civil War, but he was largely responsible for all the failures and the reconstruction after that war. I am not a southerner. I was born in CT. I am a Yankee. By gosh, I am not for slavery and the Civil War was fought over slavery. It is one of the many lies you are taught in school, especially if you are from the north. The civil war was fought over two societies not getting along. The north was an industrial society, a modern world society, and the south was really, New England should be called New America, and VA should be called New England, because the south tried to …the Lords were the plantation owners, and the serfs and slaves were the blacks and that was their society. Just as many white people in the south were slaves, well, many, in the south as much as blacks were slaves. The south had a society that was so different from the north 30 years before the civil war, anyone at the time, who had any common sense knew the Civil war was coming. Just like today people know a war is coming…and there is one probably coming. We are two different societies in America today between the liberals and the conservatives. Mostly white Americans even though there are many blacks and Latinos who agree with the middle class that are not liberal and not for abortion and not for the democratic cause. They are also not republics and btw, they despise them…I had a program called the Republican Diet, just eat yourself, cannibalism amongst republicans. They are able to fight themselves instead of fighting the common enemy that is communism, but Rome, like America, started to fall apart from within. Many of the things that happened to Ancient Rome are happening to America today.

Today’s broadcast I will mention Rome a little bit but will mainly mention America. I will show you what happened in Ancient Rome similarly. But America has been going toward a dictatorship since Lincoln. After Abe, the south realized a dictatorship when they lost all of their rights and were brought back into the union, the south was basically turned into second class citizens. They didn’t have the rights anymore that the northerners did. That is where the word carpetbagger came from. The mother came from the NO to the So with their clothes and took over the areas and removed all of the white leaders that fought for the south and replaced them mainly with themselves or former slaves which caused racism to spread. This was the time of the formation of the KKK and the south really fighting the Civil war for another 80 years or more. That is the truth.

America has had for a long time now the history of going towards militarism and dictatorship and away from democracy. 

Now we struggled back and forth. Good presidents and bad…and I often say if you read the book of Kings, Chronicles too, you will see a similarity of what happened to Ancient Israel happened to modern Israel (us) where you had a good king and a bad king. Then you had five bad kings then a good king. The same with us now here in America. A good president, then a bad, Washington was a great president, and Adams was a great president and really misunderstood…Jefferson was a good president, not great but good…Roosevelt saved this country…from the wiles of the rich elite Rockefeller and Carnegie types. There became this unbalance of   power between the middle class, the rich class, and the poor class. Roosevelt rightly realized it was the government’s job not to pick a winner as democrats and liberals do and believe today, but to keep the playing field even. That is a big difference, you know when you have a giant on one end, and on the other end is one squeaky guy, or one thin girl, there isn’t a balance there, it isn’t equal. So, Roosevelt’s idea was if you have one big guy over here then we will put forty little guys over there, we will make it even…. Dems stole the term progressive but that’s what that was back then…progressivism of Teddy was really populism like DJT. This is where the idea that this government should be beholden to the majority here, not that the minority should lose any rights, but America is based on Majority rule but minority rights. That’s what the Bill of Rights is for. That the majority cannot become a tyranny. We are not a democracy, they are no good, they don’t last. You keep hearing today we are losing American democracy. I hope we do lose democracy! That is what is destroying this country. Democracy is this, five people, three men and two women. They vote to rape the women and kill them, that is democracy. If you do not have a democratic form of government where the majority rules but they have to respect minority rights, the Bill of Rights btw, was mandated before the Constitution would be signed, is exactly that. It ensures your rights. It is not the rights of the majority. The Bill of Rights are the rights of the minority, that you cannot be held against your will in a jail without adequate bond being set, aka bail. You cannot be held from seeing your lawyers. The writ of Habeas Corpus as in the Bill of Rights. Your house cannot be searched without a court order. These rights, the right to free speech, to bear arms, to the right to assemble, and redress your government with your grievances, the rights of the press, the rights of not testifying against yourself. These are individual rights in the Bill of Rights and not the rights of the majority once again…. the minority against the will of the majority. That is what makes America great.

Believe it or not, in Ancient Rome, they had the same triple branched Gov as we do today, they protected everyone’s rights. It has been going away in America for over 100 years. 

When you have good presidents and then you have a lot of bad presidents in a row and occasionally, we get one good one that brings us back. Reagan was one of those. We were under bad times of the Carter years. America was going down in the world, failing at everything we were doing. Reagan, only one person, just like King Hezekiah (look him up in your Bible) in Israel. He returned to God. He returned to the people. He was a king for all the people and not just for the elite or the priestly class. He saved Israel from being destroyed in his lifetime. Reagan did the same thing.

In 1980 when I first was new in the real Christianity that I know exists today, I thought America didn’t have five years left. I was wrong, thankfully, because God gave us Reagan and I believe that from my whole heart. We had a man with total dedication to this country. Total integrity and honesty. A person of personal courage. A person who was very smart contrary to what people say about him. Do you know what he said he did in college? Economics. He was an economics major. Yet we hear about his voodoo economics and supply trickle down economic theory. Stuff works. The economy grew under Reagan, and it never grew under Bush like RR and certainly didn’t under Bill or the second King George Bush. It was almost destroyed under Obama’s eight years and came back to life under the Trump years. He was a breath of Fresh Air. 

Trump understood because he is a billionaire, he isn’t an oligarch. He understood the power that his class had over the middle class and lower people. One of the things that makes Donald Trump different from the avg person on issues, He got down and talked to the workers and the people bringing in the cement and trucks and he would talk to the engineers and steel workers, understanding the issues of the guys working for him. He stayed connected to the common person. Even though he was a billionaire, and he could just as well be comfortable around kings and queens and billionaires himself, he was comfortable with every working slob out there, understanding their needs. When he became the president, he was the president of all, especially the underprivileged. There is a reason why the blacks had the lowest unemployment rate in their history. Because of Trump. So did women, Latin’s, and whites. DJT was a president in the image of Roosevelt where he stood up for the little guy against the big guy. Roosevelt was a millionaire himself, came from a very rich family, so he understood the problems rich over the pure just as DJT understood that. But going back to the comparison between Rome and America… you can do any type of internet search you want and put that in, and you will see all of the problems that we are having today, they happened in ancient Rome. Some may insult many of you right now as I am going to get into some that I didn’t get into yesterday in part one.

One of the most important things that happened in Ancient Dictatorship Rome, they became a bunch of perverts. All the Caesars were sexual perverts. They were pedophiles, they were incestuous with their own family, sadists too, mutilating their victims and found joy in doing so, they made a colosseum pitting people against each other for life and death. They don’t care bout killing people. One of the other similarities of America and Rome is called “Bread and Circus”’ This is when the roman leaders needed the support of the roman people even though they hated their guts, they gave them free bread even if they didn’t work. And to keep people from rebelling against the leadership, they gave them the colosseum, sports events, horse racing, you have seen the movie Ben Hur with the famous chariot races…like that. And the movie Spartacus. A very poor semi pornographic tv series was made about the elite rich against the common romans and the struggles between the two and the perversion. Roman men would become very perverted, mainly homosexuals or bisexuals. Women became very adulterous, whores, so called high society under the Nero years. The roman women were as sexually deviant as anything we see today. tattoos everywhere all over the romans. We see them everywhere here on women. You may take offense to this as I am sure many people listening to this have tattoos. The bible says that we are not to tattoo our bodies because that is what the pagans do. Health evidence kind of says the same thing. Many people today suffer from immune problems caused by themselves by what they eat, put in their bodies, and on their bodies. Perfumes, colognes, detergents made of chemicals on your bodies, and you sleep in sheets with the same detergent and cause cancers. And then you tattoo yourself with the same ingredients I make pain out of in our paint factory. We must put hazard labels on our product because you aren’t supposed to take paint and inject it into your body. God is against tattooing. Just a simple fact. This is not Bob Barney chapter two vs one. This is the Bible talking.

If you do a search engine search on what God says about tattoos you will find he is not that keen on them. I always say if somebody from ancient Sodom was to come to San Francisco they would feel right at home. That this society is very known by them. That is why the fire destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah happen. The sexual perversion of ancient Romans matched that of the sexual perversion of today. There is no doubt in my mind that the breakdown of the family and the breakdown of morality is a leading contributor to the breakdown of the American character. I am sure there are very pious people out there that never have an evil thought, but I know men look at women, I look at beautiful women and even point them out to my wife, but I love my wife. I don’t cheat on my wife and that is the difference. The difference is yes, we have animal instincts and God understands that, but we are supposed to be able to subdue them. The people of Rome found out they could not do such a thing and a lot of Americans today cannot. So, we have children growing up in homes where they see all sorts of sexual perversions going on and it becomes normal> Then when they grow up, they are kind of doomed to a lifestyle that is going to be a destructive one. One that will give them diseases, heartaches, some trouble, possibly murdered by jealous people that they are fooling around on…all sorts of problems come with sexual perversion.

 Ancient Rome and America today are very similar to the total acceptance of a sexual deviant lifestyle. You hear so many Americans say they don’t care what anyone does in their bedrooms, but if they knew they were paying for that, that 25 percent of your healthcare comes from less than 2 percent of peoples diseases that come from homosexuality and bisexuality. Fat people, you know, I am overweight when I tell you this and I am working on it and losing weight, but in my whole life I was not overweight, but as an overweight person, my insurance rates were higher! I had to pay for my sin of being a glutton, but not the 2 percent who identify themselves as homosexuals and that is all that it is, 2 percent. It has been that number for a long time no matter what statistic you want to believe, the Plain Truth is it is 2 percent. That accounts for 25 percent of your medical bills. So what people do in their households DO affect you but you aren’t told that so you just let it go on.

So that is another similarity of being like Ancient Rome in America. 

The decline of religion is another way we are the same. America was founded on a religious basis. Our forefathers, and don’t believe the hype in liberal education, that our forefathers were deists or atheists, they were Christians. They were devout Christians and many of them were what I would be calling false Christians, not the real Christianity of Christ but they believed it and lived it and lived a moral lifestyle and God accepted them. Reading Kings and Chronicles, you see statements from God that well you didn’t do everything right, you let your women worship false gods, but you tried to do what was right, God overlooks a lot of sin. Believe it or not, God overlooks a lot. But you get to the point where you are not even religious anymore and you don’t even believe in a God anymore and if there is a God you don’t care what God thinks…that is what happened in Ancient Rome where all this polytheism led to atheism. Where soon, all their gods became jokes. They could do whatever they wanted to do and live and eat and drink and tomorrow we die type mentality. Many Americans have that today. It is a destructive behavior that will cause the end of American civilization.

Again, I see I am running out of time, and we covered a good amount, I think it would be worth looking at the articles that we will be putting up on this topic coming up soon…then you can see the similarities and what destroyed Rome is going to destroy America. 

What I wanted to end on is the future of America according to your Bible. The Bible says that America today is the descendants of ancient Israel. Basically, the tribe of Joseph and predominantly Ephriam.  That eventually we will come into captivity before the tribulation. We will become enslaved as a nation, and we are starting to see that today. We have chances, DJT gave us a chance, Reagan did, even Nixon did, he was a good president and gave us a chance. He ended the war he said he would end. Everyone forgets this. It was Kennedy and basically Johnson that got us into Vietnam. It was Nixon that ended it. DJT ended the wars that Obama inherited but the Bushes started. So, the idea again that America has to go back to its roots…and if they do not, the Bible says eventually God is going to let us go and we are going to become enslaved to a Beast Government that comes out of central Europe. The new revival of the Holy Roman Empire is coming. Bu8t here is the good news!

I am not a prophet of doom. The good news is that if we as a nation, most people turn to God and pray to God, God will delay the inevitable for your sake, for my sake.  America can have a better future, at least in the short run. The 2024 election is going to be important because we need to get away from this dictatorship that we have today that is coming and back to the rule of the people. What is best for the middle and lower class is what is best for this country. NOt what is best for Gates and Soros…or all these other billionaires out there. It is the working slobs, the people who make things happen…that keep this country together. Eventually be aware, America is going to fall. The Bible says so. It is going to happen. 

Even if that happens in our lifetime, and I hope it does not. You yourself have a chance, you see, the most powerful beings in the universe, the ones that created everything you see, feel and touch, Jesus Christ and God the Father, and btw, the Bible says Jesus Christ is the one that created the universe and this earth, just read the first chapter of John, you will see it was not God the Father, it was Jesus Christ as the God of the Old Testament.

Jesus Christ is the Yahweh, the Lord Almighty of the Old Testament. Many people do not know that, but Jesus created everything. you and you pray to God the Father and Jesus Christ for yourself and for your family, and your family and you yourself repent and ask God to control yourself and your destiny, and you do so diligently, God says, those who seek me diligently will find Me… We will find salvation. If we are martyrs this time around, there is eternity ahead of us. So, you, yourself, can escape the final punishment that this world is coming to. If the country does not return to God then you yourself read the Bible, don’t listen to me or any other person, wait, I do hope you listen to me, but prove what I say to yourself, look it up, now you have the internet and you can put anything I say in and see the words found in the Bible.

Jesus Christ, who preached love and kindness that everyone knows about in the New Testament was the same Christ that said to destroy every man, woman, and child, and animal among the Canaanites that we call the Palestinians today. When you see what the Palestinians did to the Jewish men and women and babies…putting babies in the ovens, maybe God had a point to kill those people off because they didn’t deserve to live.

That is what Jesus Christ told Joshua! This is a topic for another time, a very important topic.
