Hi, Bob Barney here with The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com, welcoming everyone to another 7:11 Short show about today’s topic, which concerns Jesus Christ and who the Bible says he is. Most people do not realize, but Jesus Christ, when he walked the earth, is not only the God of the Old Testament, but He is also the Lord God Almighty that parted the Red Sea, that presented Himself in a tornado-like cloud during the day and a pillar of fire during the night over the Israeli camp. He is the same God who talked to David, who gave the messages to the prophets about His future coming as King of Kings and Lord of Lords, but first He had to come as a Messiah and die for our sins.
One day, His disciples were trying to figure out when His coming was going to occur, and because it didn’t seem to be on their timetable, they were a little confused about when He would return. He said to them, don’t let anyone fool you, for many, not a few, many would be coming in My name, the Messiah’s name, Jesus’s name. Many would come saying, I am the Christ. No, that’s not what He’s saying here. He’s saying many will come saying that Jesus Christ is the Messiah and fool many and will lead many astray. When you hear of wars and rumors of wars, this does not single My return. These things must occur first, but the end is not yet. Then nations shall rise against nations and kingdom against kingdom and famines and earthquakes in many places, but all this is just the beginning of the horrors of which is to come. You will be tortured and killed for my name’s sake, and many will turn and hate each other and the love of many will grow cold.
He also goes on to warn us that many false prophets, people who come in the name of Jesus Christ, will appear and lead many people astray. Sin will be rampant, as we see what’s going on right now in the world, and the love of many will grow cold, but those who can endure to the end or endure to the end will be saved. And the good news about the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world so that all nations will hear it, then finally the end will come. So when you see that abomination of desolation has spoken through Daniel the prophet, beware or let the reader beware. Anyone in Judea must flee to the mountains in woe to pregnant women during those times. Why do you think it’s woe to pregnant women? Maybe because of radiation, radiation poisoning from an end of the world, World War III, IV, or whatever number it will be by then.
It is important to realize that in Revelation, Christ gives the Apostle John a vision of the end times, and the first thing John sees is four horsemen, a white horseman, a red horseman, a pale horseman, and a black horseman, and they are the same four warnings that we see in Matthew 24, which are white horse means false Christianity, not just false religion, but false Christianity. The red horse, of course, means war, and war is coming, and the pale horse or pale green horse means famine and pestilence, due to diseases and plagues and effects of war, and up to a third of the earth’s population is going to die. And of course, the black horse of death, death follows wars, pestilence, disease, and famine.
So what we are living through today is more and more singling the end times. I’m not saying it’s here yet. Many things need to occur first, but I’ll take that up again tomorrow on the next podcast of the Plain Truth Today online.
