What’s Wrong with Conservative Media? (Transcript)

Good morning, this is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today.

I want to thank everybody who tunes into the show every day, I appreciate you!

This is an early morning show, and we’ve got some little news bits that I wanted to talk about from over the weekend however, I do want to focus mainly on a different topic for today. I kind of touched on it before but this has more to do with the conservative media and how they are not serving the public.

Last week, we started watching these news reports about polls and how somehow magically Kamala Harris was able gain traction and make up from a 26 percent approval rating all the way up to a 46 percent approval rating in one week…and this was just after she announces she’s going to be president! There are reports, mainly in the mainstream media, but also unfortunately being mouthed as well by the so-called conservative media like Newsmax, like Fox News, Fox Business News etc., saying how Kamala Harris is actually now leading in many states or within striking distance of all the swing states, battleground states, and that everything has changed for Donald Trump. That he’s not listening to his advisors.

Why should he?

His advisors gave him Mike Pence, by the way. He is attacking Kamala Harris and that’s the last thing that the voters want him to do. They want him to stick to the issues, or so they say.

But the question that I believe I asked this last week before I get into this topic here is why is it that Donald Trump cannot get personal but it is okay for the leading members of the Democratic Party, including their two candidates for president and vice president, why are they able… why is it okay for them to attack Donald Trump personally? They can call him a convicted felon, call him a criminal, call him a woman abuser… and it’s okay? Yet none of the pundits that have a problem with Donald Trump getting personal about Kamala Harris, which he should get personal about her, because she’s a freak. She is an absolute moron. My brother has a good expression...If she was made out of dynamite, she wouldn’t have enough explosive in her to blow her nose. This is how dumb this woman is. Do we forget that less than a month ago when Donald Trump before, I should say, Donald Trump beat Joe Biden in that debate, the Democrats were all talking about how they’re going to get rid of Kamala Harris and find another vice president candidate for Joe Biden….remember? Because he was the strong candidate, he is the one that could beat Donald Trump, and she was a drag on the ticket.

Do we remember this or is our collective memory as a people so bad that we can’t remember what happened four weeks ago? Just four weeks ago they were naming all kinds of people that could replace Kamala Harris, and everybody said, well, she’s black, which she isn’t but they keep saying well she’s black, and she has to stay in the spot as the vice president.

My contention then, as it is now, is that they needed to replace her. Joe Biden absolutely fumbles the football and the entire game on that debate with Donald Trump, and so what we have now, we have a situation where all of a sudden, it seems like she’s the greatest thing that ever happened to the Democratic Party. The same woman that they wanted to replace just four weeks ago on the ticket, and they were saying, well, Hillary can’t do it because she’s not black so she’s out of the question.

Michelle Obama, do we remember that was Michelle Obama, was going to be the absolute savior of the Democratic Party and of America? THat she was going to come in last minute at the convention, that’s this week, we’re going to see if that happens, because you know it’s not, and take over the Democratic Party, win one for their Gipper, and go on and beat Donald Trump in November, and I predicted then that she would not take it. Barack Obama, they were thinking, in my opinion, they were thinking, how can we get around that 25th amendment and the 12th amendment and get him in as the vice president, because everyone knows that Kamala Harris is going to bomb. She cannot talk, she cannot give an interview and she’s certainly not going to be able to debate Donald Trump. So now all of a sudden, we are being spoon-fed polls that we know are totally bogus.

I’ll give you one example. I think I gave this to you last week, but maybe I’m getting a little bit like Joe Biden and forget what I talk about, but I know one thing, I can recall things. I have a memory that goes back more than four weeks. Well, it seems like even the conservative media, Fox, Newsmax, Daily Mail, I guess, Wall Street Journal, is concerned now that Kamala Harris has pulled within four points of Donald Trump in Florida…a state that was considered a runaway victory for Donald Trump just three weeks ago.

Now, let me tell you something…

Donald Trump won Florida in 2020 and in 2016, but in 2020, when he won Florida, I think he won by five or seven percentage points. The registered Republicans in the state of Florida were 300,000 less in registration than there were registered Democrats. Now, four years later, after Governor DeSantis cleared out illegals and dead people from the voter rolls and stuff like that, it turns out there is a million more registered Republicans today in Florida than there was in 2020 and yet we’re going to believe a poll that the million voters that registered be Republican voters now, there’s a million plus, because there’s more than a million than there are Democrats. Are we going to believe that these million people are going to vote for Kamala Harris now because they’re registered Republicans? Why did they bother to register a Republican? It’s just ludicrous. Donald Trump is going to win Florida in a landslide! It is obvious…yet we are reading polls that say the opposite!

Because I know the tactics of the mainstream media, I understand that they are going to lie their bejesus off because that’s all they know to do to try to help their candidate.

Remember one thing, the mainstream media, CBS or ABC or NBC, MSNBC, CNN, and a host of other ones, they are really not news media at all. They shouldn’t even have press credentials. They are a propaganda media outlet for the Democratic Party. That’s what they are. They are not journalists. They are not the fourth estate. They are just members of the Democratic Party who are doing the bidding for the Democratic Party in disguise of being a press.

As I know their tactics, still I am not concerned about the mainstream media because more and more people are turning off the mainstream media.

What does bother me though is that I saw an article two weeks ago that the Fox News Bret Bier’s six o’clock hour news outdraws now the CBS Evening News, ABC Evening News, NBC Evening News, CNN Evening News, and MSNBC Evening News. In fact, he outdraws CNN and MSNBC’s put together, so we have more and more people going to Fox News for their news information. Now, I have to ask you a question. Why would they go to Fox News if they trust the mainstream media? Obviously, many people…the majority of people watching the news today at any one time are watching Fox News because they think that that news is not giving a spin in regard to the Democratic Party. It is truth that many times they’re not however, here’s the problem that I have with Fox News…

What ARE they doing? I ask this because they’re mirroring the same stories that you can find on CBS. You can go to CBS and find out that Harris is within four points in Florida. Here is the point; When you are a real news organization, you should take that poll, and you should analyze that poll. You should decide who are they polling…ask if there more registered Democrats in this poll than Republicans…because now we know the Republicans outnumber the Democrats, probably two to three. That’s with a million more now than Democrats. So how are you polling? Ask the questions! Mention the factors of a million more Republicans. The TV station, Fox, Newsmax barely mention it. They run this headline underneath…Kamala Harris is leading in all the battleground states. This is a problem…Americans today have attention deficit syndrome. They want a reader’s digest version of everything.

The average Joe out there and the average Mary out there work in their life to try to stay ahead of Biden’s inflation. They watch maybe 10, 15, 20 minutes of the news. And unfortunately, 10 minutes or half of what they watch in the news is weather and sports. So they got maybe five minutes to watch the headlines for local news and for national news. They get a few snippets from their local channel and maybe they go to Fox News now instead of CBS or ABC, they go to Fox News to find out an unbiased news of what’s really going on but all they see running underneath the screen is the same exact headlines that would be running under the screen of CNN. They’re not sitting and wasting their time listening to an hour program to delve into that poll. When you just see on the bottom of the screen, rolling across that Kamala Harris is within four points of Donald Trump in Florida you are seeing nothing different than what the mainstream media is spewing. I don’t know if this is on purpose, and I hope it’s not, maybe it’s just stupidity.

What you’re doing is you’re demoralizing the people who are going to vote for Donald Trump. This is what the Democrats want to do. 

I told you this last week, that I had gone to campaign management school in 1978 at Wesleyan University with the Republican party. I was going to try to be a campaign manager long before I found another interest which was the paint business…you see I gave up on politics 45 years ago. But the first thing you learn when you are running a campaign is you have to get your base out. So you’ve got to scare the bejesus out of them to get them out to vote. Then you have to keep your opponent’s voters in. So if you’re a Republican, for example, you pray for a rainy day because believe it or not, Democrats don’t like to get their hair wet. Republicans go out in all kinds of weather but if you are trying to get the opponents to stay home, that’s why you have negative ads. You have negative ads because that is going to make the person that was going to vote for candidate A say, you know what? He’s a crook too and I’m just not going to even vote. They don’t want everybody to vote. The biggest lie in the world is they want everybody to go, go vote. It’s your duty as an American citizen to vote but they don’t want you to vote if you’re not voting for them. They’re going to feed you all kinds of malarkey so that you will not vote if you’re not going to vote their way. The people that are going to vote their way they’re going to give them money. They’re going to give them cigarettes. They’re going to give them booze.They’re going to give them a ride downtown. They’re going to do everything they can do to get them to the polls, get their base out. When you run a poll and a series of polls showing that Kamala Harris magically made up 20 percentage points in popularity, which you know is a lie, it’s an absolute lie, and you’re giving that as a headline on the bottom of the screen on Fox or on Newsmax, you are demoralizing the Trump base.

That is what it was intended to do in the first place. 

If you don’t have the knowledge or the information to realize what’s going on you’re going to fall victim and you’re going to be one of those people saying, well, I’m not going to vote for Kamala Harris. She’s a communist. I’m just going to stay home. If she doesn’t have a chance then I’m not going to wait five hours in line. Some places you wait four or five hours in line. At least I did one year back in 2008 in the John McCain and Barack Obama election. It took five hours to get through the line outdoors and inside to vote. Everybody in the line was basically a Sarah Palin supporter at the time. If you listen to the people now, all the pundits say  that Sarah Palin’s the reason John McCain lost the election. Really? I don’t know. Did Sarah Palin end his campaign and his, because of the economic crash, did he suspend his campaign? Did she suspend her campaign for three weeks like John McCain did? Did she allow the press to make every kind of stupid acquisition against him as they did Mitt Romney four years later or Donald Trump four years after that? The truth is the conservative media needs to find itself doing the job that it was meant to do. Tell the true plain truth news and explain to the people why these polls are not probably accurate and get down into them. And if they are accurate, then you got to ask yourself a question. Are the American public, and I’m not sure that this is true, are the American public so stupid that one day they can vote for Adolf Hitler and the next day they can vote for Ronald Reagan? Because if you believe that, and I don’t, that this is what the news media is trying to make you believe.

It’s just a crying shame.

I wanted to spend a little bit of this program talking about that. I also want to talk about some of the other things that happened in the last few days that might be important. I just want you to be aware as I know a lot of people out there are very busy…they have a job to do…working… you know, they don’t stay home like a lot of people on welfare. They work hard. They care about their sports team or they care about the weather no doubt, yet people need to start looking on the internet and hopefully come to The Plain Truth…but look on the internet and start delving into issues. It’s pretty hard to do a Google search because Google is going to ban what you try to search. They’re going to make sure you can’t find the truth, and that’s the truth. If you put in Trump assassination, you will get FDR assassination and FDR wasn’t even assassinated. You’ll get Abraham Lincoln’s assassination before anything about what happened to Trump on July 13. There’s not even a mention of the Trump assassination. That’s a true story. This is what happens when you go to a search engine that’s going to make sure you can’t find the truth. But it is your duty to find the truth.

There are sites you can go to, ThePlainTruth.com, Worldnetdaily.com, Breitbart.com…even at one time you could go to the Daily Mail but I wouldn’t even give the Daily Mail a plug right now when it comes to their coverage of Donald Trump because they’re falling into the same trap that everybody else is that Donald Trump cannot attack Kamala Harris or Tim Walz personally but it is okay for them to do the same thing back. In fact, it’s great strategy they’re doing and it’s working.

It works for Kamala Harris to go after Trump personally but it won’t work for Trump.

It almost sounds like Satan the devil is making the policy for the Democrats and for the media and making sure that every single bad thing that can be said about Trump somehow makes it to the front page. However, we have to stop what could be bad about Kamala Harris, because the truth is, if people really knew what she was about, and this is going to go to the next subject, if they really knew what she was about they would definitely not vote for her.

Rasmussen did a poll and I mentioned this last week…something like 75 to 86% of Democrats did not know the top 15 things that Kamala Harris did as either vice president or as a senator.

They did not understand that she called ICE the KKK. They did not understand that she wanted to shut down and open up all the ICE locations and open up the border and let everybody in, and give them welfare. They did not know that as vice president, she broke the tie and voted for the Inflation Act…the Inflation Act is exactly what came to fruition. It gave us a runaway inflation. 

86% of Democrats that are registered to vote and intend to vote did not know anything about Kamala Harris or anything she really did. That’s the job of the mainstream media, and they did their job perfectly. Unfortunately, some of those people, I’m sure, watch Fox News, and they still did not know it. Think about that. If they’re watching Fox News or Newsmax and the person tuning in still doesn’t know the truth about Kamala Harris’s record, then you have to ask, what’s really going on here? 

But it even gets worse than that.

Let’s say you believe that no Democrat is going to watch Fox News, which I’m not going to accept that, but we’ll make that statement. But then the poll did not poll Republicans, by the way. It polled Independents and Democrats and something like 74% or 75% of all Independents did not know that Kamala Harris’s position on those eight issues. They didn’t know it either, or I guarantee you that a third of those people watch Fox News. How can they watch Fox News and not know what Kamala Harris stood for or said about the borer, or about ICE, or about what she said about Donald Trump in the past? Even what she said about the American people…or what she said about what she did in COVID in regard to the lockdowns that she was behind or the withdrawal from Afghanistan…or that she was the last person in the room where we let 13 soldiers die because of a failed botched attempt to run out of Afghanistan and leaving that country in total hands of terrorists!

That’s what Kamala Harris did.

The Independent voters don’t even know this even those watching on maybe Newsmax or Fox, they don’t even know this. That is because this media that we have today are not doing their job.

If there is anyone that we miss, it is Rush Limbaugh. We miss Rush Limbaugh so much.

That’s all I can say.

Rush Limbaugh probably would have been able to tear apart the headlines we’re reading today and give a dose of sanity to what is going on, because this is insane!

I think the internal polls show and the Democrats know this, showing that they’re going to lose this election in a huge landslide. That they’re desperately, like Satan does, they’re desperately trying to lie their way into a victory. that, to me, is what’s going on.

I’m afraid that it’s working in many cases.

We’re going to move on and go over some other stories.

I’m going to mainly go through some of the stories over the weekend that we put up on the Plain Truth Message Board. There are some very good stories over there. I always say the Message Board is one of the most important boards to go to. We talk about Kamala Harris filling up crowds, thousands and thousands of people as if she is doing what Donald Trump is doing. All of a sudden, she’s as good as Donald Trump filling up a stadium.

Then last week something that broke that we had on the Plain Truth was a big event that happened at the airport, that the crowd was AI’d in for Kamala. The crowd actually wasn’t real. The crowd was put in by computer. Then last week, we have a story that photos prove that Kamala Harris’s North Carolina rally had only 250 people show up. Now, it is true when she brings in famous rap stars and movie stars and actors and singers and you name it, she can get a lot of people. Until she starts speaking, of course, then you have pictures of thousands of people filing out after the concert’s over. They’re just filing out, leaving, because the only thing they came for was a free concert that they would normally have to pay a couple hundred dollars to see. 250 people showed up in North Carolina. At the same time, I think 25,000 or 35,000 showed up when Donald Trump had a rally the same week, the same day, I think, in North Carolina.

Another big story this week, and I’m not going to talk much about the Democratic convention, because it’s going to be just more trash. I don’t let people throw trash into my house. I always say this, you wouldn’t let a person take their really nasty trash, their dog poop and their cat litter, and put it in a paper bag and throw it in your living room. Unfortunately, too many of us is willing to allow the media and other people take trash and throw it into our brain. We value our living room more than we value the trash going in our brain. One of the things that’s going to happen this week at this convention in Chicago is that it may be like the 1968 convention.

I’ve been saying that for two, three weeks now, and I see the mainstream media in some sorts is picking this up. The headline we have on the message board, I think from Saturday, maybe from today, Chicago police brace for thousands of protesters in the Windy City. Probably we might have some more peaceful demonstrations with mainly peaceful riots going on with the Chicago on fire. Another story that I thought was kind of funny that it may be, I got to say, I got to be careful how you do this, but Kamala Harris’s stepdaughter actually endorsed ketamine, that is a drug that puts you to sleep, to help people go to sleep. Now, that’s a drug that killed Matthew Perry. That’s a drug that killed Michael Jackson, I believe. That’s a drug that kills thousands and tens of thousands of people a year. Kamala’s stepdaughter endorses that is a great way people need to try that to go to sleep. That’s the story we have on the Plain Truth.

If you don’t believe me, go to the Plain Truth and you’ll see it’s a link to a legitimate site showing that’s what she’s doing….maybe she should help her mother go to sleep with the same drug. We could be all free of everything if that was to be the case, just to go to sleep. I’m not looking for anything else than that.

 Another story that hits home to me a little bit because as I have mentioned before, my wife and I used to run a very large racing website called racerap.com. We ran it from 1998, I believe, all the way up to 2019 when our business just took us away from that. Then the Plain Truth took me away from that however, it was the sixth largest racing website in the world. And it had 100, 200,000 unique hits a month and millions a year. It covered local racing, NASCAR racing…and it was very big.

It was a news site and a message board, a lot like the Plain Truth. That’s where I got the idea for the Plain Truth.

The tragedy over the weekend is a racing legend, a dirt racing legend, Scott Blomquist died in a plane crash at his farm over the weekend. He was 60 years old. He won many championships. He’s probably one of the greatest of all racers, dirt racers, in the history of the sport. We at the Plain Truth sent our condolences to our family.

One of the things we got out of the RaceRap in 2019 when we decided to shut it down, one of the things my wife Tammy told me that I will never forget was that she was kind of happy we shut RaceRap down because it got to the point after 25 years, nearly 25 years that RaceRap started reporting all the people that we knew that had died. Some were killed. Some had died of old age. Some had died of cancer. Some tragically died in other ways. One person we knew very close to was murdered. she said, well, the one thing I have to say about not having RaceRap anymore is that it’s pretty sad every day to go on RaceRap and find another person you knew really well that had passed away. It was very sad after a while because it seemed like a lot of people were dying.

Whenever you’re into a sport for more than 20 years, people age, people die, people get diseases, people get cancer, people have car accidents or tragedies. It seems that there were a lot of tragedies over the years. So, it hit home when Saturday morning when seeing this on the internet…my wife is the one that saw it first on Facebook that Scott had died in a plane crash. It was his own airplane that he was piloted on or near his family farm. The sad part about this is this 84-year-old mother had to call the racetracks and break the news. I think it is just sad that an 84-year-old woman, probably without a husband, had to outlive her 60-year-old son who was by all accounts a great guy and a great competitor. We feel really bad from The Plain Truth and the old former RaceRap that such a star of his sport and dirt racing, died so tragically over the weekend.

I just want to give thanks again to those who are listening. I also want to give thanks to the people that take the time to send emails. I had a gent who may not care if I gave his name, but I’ll say his name is Joe. He listens to these broadcasts, and he corrects me when I make a mistake. Last week I made a mistake. I gave a chapter and verse of Ezekiel and I was one chapter off. I wrote back to him that I hope I’m not getting to be like Joe Biden but I do a lot of things right off the top of my head without notes.

I should know the Bible verses sometimes better than I do, but I don’t.

I have to sometimes look up, you know, my cheat sheet and I don’t have one a lot of the times when I do this show however, I do appreciate Joe sending me corrections or things he agrees with or things he thinks I’m wrong about. I want people to think and I want people to listen and think. I want people to open their eyes and see the plain truth and understand that there is a God and who they are seeing is the God of the Bible. That there is a Savior, who is of the name Jesus Christ as we know it, Yahshua, as some people want to call Him, but He’s the Lord God of your Bible. He is the Yahweh who spoke to Moses from the burning bus…yes that was Jesus Christ. He’s alive and He’s in heaven and He’s getting ready to come back here sometime and save us from ourselves.

So, wake up and open up your Bible…actually read it and delve into the news and look for the plain truth, not just our plain truth, but the plain truth all over the place and be aware of what’s happening. Watch, therefore, says Jesus, watch, watch world events. If you don’t watch what’s going on in the world, yes, you may be saved and you may be a part of the resurrection of the dead, but you’re going to have a horrible life if you’re not prepared for the nonsense that is coming. 

Be prepared. Jesus gave warnings for a reason. He gave warnings so we can be prepared and not surprised when the bad things happen.
