It has been said, you are what you eat, and believe it or not, God knows that too and it’s the truth!
Hi, this is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today and I want to talk about some health matters. If you go to theplaintruth.com, you will see that we do have an entire section about health and YOUR health called Your Health Today Online. When you click on that link it will take you to many different stories about your health and about what you can do to help your health improve. This is important especially right now because in America and most of the Western world because of our diet we are what we eat. Then because of our diet, we are obese.(0:41) I’m obese and I’m trying to correct it. We are sick.
We have diseases like heart ailments, or diabetes, or all kinds of what they call immune problems. We have everything that we have today going wrong with our health stemming mainly from two factors. One, what we eat, and two, the chemicals in our environment which are killing us.
(1:05) We all watch the Roundup commercials where if you’re exposed to Roundup the weed killer, you probably have this whole history/ list of diseases you are experiencing. Well, chemicals permeate our entire society, and they are destroying us from within our own bodies. We have chemicals in our homes that we think are not bad for us, all these fragrances that we put on our clothes and in our homes, and these plugins, for example. They go in the wall sockets and heat up while they put out this nice flowery, spring day flowery smell…yet we don’t realize there’s no spring day in that smell.
It’s nothing but a bunch of chemicals that are affecting your body, and what are you doing?
You’re breathing in it.
You’re sleeping on it.
You’re wearing the clothes that stink of it and you are destroying the health and the immune system of your body.
So your health matters and it matters to God and that is why God has a lot of things to say about your health.
(2:15) I have said this in a previous program that God has a specific diet of what you can and cannot eat. Unfortunately, today, one of the main important ingredients in most people’s diet God in fact does not want you to eat. You know what these foods are? Number one, pork, and number two, shellfish, and number three, fat.
We’ll take the first one. There are other things, by the way, but specifically, I’m talking about things in the Bible. Pork is the mainstay of most people’s diets today.
(2:47) They want pork bacon and eggs, pork hot dogs, all kinds of pork. Now, we know Muslims do not eat pork and so many Muslims do not eat pork. They consume other things, for example. I believe shellfish is allowed in the Muslim diet. It is not allowed in God’s diet, but pork is just absolutely forbidden for mankind to eat, and again, like we talk about in every one of these programs, the law of God has not been done away with Jesus on the cross like everybody is trying to tell you. By everybody I mean those in the religious world…they tell you that it is not true and that, yes, pork used to be bad because of all the worms and the diseases that pigs carried back then, but today, we raise pigs in a very clean, sterile environment; that these diseases are a thing of the past.
(3:38) Well, I played a program last fall, and it was by a scientist who was explaining why pigs are not good to eat no matter how clean you think they are. He shares that it has to do with their diet and how they process their foods. That the reason it is okay to eat lamb, goats, cattle, deer, venison, elk, and all of the animals that chew their cud is because they are animals that are clean in their digestive tract because they eat the same food over and over again by regurgitating it. They are called ruminant-type animals, and these animals have no poison coming from their digestive tract being buried in their meat.
(4:31) Now, that does not mean they cannot have poisons in their meat if you are spraying that goat down or that lamb down with all kinds of pesticides and chemicals or whatever man-made chemicals you are going to do. That is why it is important to have organic meats, but the truth is, the plain truth is, God does not want you to eat pork. That was not done away with. When you go to the book of Acts, and people try to show when Peter had his vision of the unclean animals, and God says, take and eat, they think that God cleansed pork at that time. Yet, we know what Peter said if you read on, Lord, I have never consumed such things. Nothing like that has ever entered my mouth, and God went on to explain what God was talking about. It was not calling any human being unclean because in Jewish days, the Gentiles met unclean people. They were not to eat unclean meat, but they were also not to associate or go into the homes of unclean people. What God was showing in that vision to Peter was, do not call any person unclean. God never cleansed a pork product where you can eat it today. The pig has the same digestive tract that the pig had years ago.
So, just be aware that, again, there are a lot of misnomers about what you can eat and what you can’t eat when it comes to pork…just follow the Bible. Follow what it says in the Bible, what you can eat and what you can’t eat. In the book of Leviticus, you will find the perfect diet of foods that are good for you and foods that are abhorrent to you.
(6:06) It’s not just for your health, by the way. It is to please God.
When God says, don’t do something, you don’t have to sit there and tell God that He has to explain why. You just listen to what God says, obey, and God will give you a blessing. Part of that blessing is good health and a long life.
(2:28) Number two, by the way is shellfish. God says, do not eat anything that does not have dorsal fins and scales. That’s fish and not skin fish…it is not just clams and scallops and lobsters. You also cannot eat is catfish. It’s a skin fish, so is shark, You shouldn’t have scallops anyway. It’s a shellfish, but most scallops that are not even shellfish come from shark. It’s forbidden for you to eat, according to God.
Swordfish, for example, is a skin fish. God wants you to eat stuff that has fins and skins, let’s put it that way, like tuna, like mackerel, like trout, like sea bass, stuff like that is what God tells you to eat. If you follow that, you’re going to do good.
(7:26) Now, the third thing I mentioned is fats. God says you’re not to eat animal fats as fats. That is why even in Jewish culture today that follows kosher diet and by the way all kosher means is clean. It doesn’t mean any other religious thing than clean, biblically clean, but animal fats that are part of the meat are okay to consume. We all have made this mistake, and I do to this day. You go to a restaurant; you have a hamburger. Hamburger is a chunk of meat taken from a cow in different places, but then they take the suet from that cow, and they add it in, and that’s why you see 80-20 hamburger, 80% hamburger, 20% fat, or 93% lean means 7% fat is still added back into it most of the time. What God really would want you to do if you want a hamburger is you go and you get a good piece of meat, you get a sirloin steak, or if you want to really go hot hog wild, you get a prime rib, or you get a brisket, and you tell the butcher, run that through the grinder, don’t add any fat to it, and that’s your hamburger, and lo and behold, that is what God wants you to eat, because even today, most experts will agree that eating and consuming a lot of fat in your diet is not good for you. Don’t get me wrong, fats are essential for your health, however we have gone overboard, at least many of the liberal scientists have gone, and that’s because they don’t want you to eat any animal.
(8:54) They want you to be vegetarians, which is very bad for your health, by the way. God does not want you to be a vegetarian, but the idea that if you consume too much processed fats, and that is both animal fats, and it’s also plant fats.
Did you happen to hear RFK talking with Donald Trump about all of these seed oils, and these corn oils, and vegetable oils, and one of the worst things you can have happens to be canola? And even if it’s so-called organic. Canola oil is just a horrible product for you to consume, and in fact, if you ever saw it being processed, you wouldn’t want to eat it anyways. So when you see this healthy canola oil, you are just deceiving yourself. God wants you to have basically olive oil. Olive oil is considered a good fat, and I think most scientists will admit that it’s good fat, since some items today found in our diet are not found.
(9:53) Palm oil is good for you. MCT is a good version of palm oil that is very good for your brain. By the way, your brain needs fat and sugar. Your brain only consumes sugar for energy, but fat to build your brain and keep your brain strong. Your brain uses no complex carbohydrates and all of that stuff. Your brain wants fat, and it wants sugar, so good fats are good for you. Bad fats are when you are adding animal fat or vegetable fats that are not olive oil-based and nowadays we know avocado-based or palm oil-based. Those fats are good for you, and a lot of your diet should be of those fats.
(10:36) One of the things that looks very abundant to me reading the Old Testament of the Bible, some food ingredients that you’re supposed to be eating are fruits and vegetables. I would say probably I studied the book Ancient Israel by Roland Deval, and he goes well into the ancient Israeli diet and the diet of the patriarchs like Abraham, and yes, they had a lot of wheat, and they had a lot of bread, but we’ll get into that in a second. They did not have the wheat and bread we eat today, but they ate a lot of vegetables and fruits, figs, and you get a whole list, by the way, when they left Egypt and are complaining to Moses, well, we don’t have cucumbers anymore, and we don’t have cantaloupe, and we don’t have beans, all these vegetables that they were eating in Egypt, which are very good for you.
(11:29) Now, to get to the idea of wheat, the wheat of Abraham, the wheat of Ancient Israel was a wheat we still have today. You can find it. It’s called einkorn wheat, and it is a whole different structured wheat than what is found in your breads and wheat products, cereals or whatever today. Today, they’re all hybrids and they actually have a different count of chromosomes than the wheat that is called einkorn. So the idea that people have gluten sensitivity, and a lot of the gluten sensitivity, by the way, has not to do with the wheat, has to do with the roundup pesticide in the wheat or herbicide it is in the wheat more than it does actually the wheat. But the wheat itself today is a genetically modified wheat.
(12:19) Even though you can find organic wheat, it still comes from durum wheat which has been bastardized by modern science, even going back 200 years. But the wheat that the patriarchs ate, what Ancient Israel ate, and what Jesus ate, was an einkorn type wheat that grew naturally in the Middle East. The people did cultivate it, but it is a wild grass that people knew they could grind into flour and they could make bread. That bread, with a little bit of olive oil when it was cooked, is actually very good for you. It’s full of B vitamins, it’s full of iron, it’s full of all kinds of minerals that you would not have celiac disease today if people ate that wheat from infancy rather then the modern day wheats with all the chemical pesticides and herbicides in those wheat kernels that are ground in the flour, and then processed beyond recognition through modern ultra processing factories that bleach the wheat and do all kinds of manipulation of the wheat to make it into the flour that you want.
(13:20) You know, you go to the store, and you can find any good baker, and my editor is a very good baker…and they will tell you that the extra gluten wheat is the best to cook with but it’s not necessarily the best for you to eat with. But going back to the wheat…it was a major part of the diet, meat was part of the diet, you know, Abraham killed the fatted calf or the fatted goat or sheep whenever a good time came around, but the majority of the diet back then was a diet of fruits and vegetables and bread made from einkorn wheat.
(13:52) Another aspect of the health of the ancients compared to our health is they were active all day long. They were living a sedentary life that we do today. They were walking, they were not having the comfort of a car, they didn’t have the comfort of all the modern convenience to make sure we don’t move in order to live a comfortable life, the richer we are, the fatter we are because of the bad foods we eat and the less work we do. You know, I don’t believe anybody working out on the highway, chopping down trees and clearing woods and are going to be fat. Anybody that’s working, sweating all day long, working from, you know, sunrise to sunset and burning probably three or four thousand calories a day in their job, I don’t believe those people have a problem with obesity. I think the people that have a problem with obesity, and I can take this in my own life,
(14:46) I will give myself as an example, I am not the shining star that people should follow when it comes to my personal health.
Now, I have tried with the help of my wife Tammy, who has gotten into all of this for a lot longer than I did and she has struggled with me over my diet. When I was young and lived on a farm, I lived off a farm but I worked on a farm that my father used to run before he went to the Nestle company and the point is that I was very active in my childhood. I was always riding the bike to the farm and I had a horse that I would ride…I walked, I helped pick corn, I helped pick string beans, I picked tomatoes, I was always moving. At night we would stay outside, I would be playing, I’d be riding the bike, and I was never overweight. Most of the time, if you see early pictures of me, I was quite underweight compared to most people my age because I was very active. I got to college and I started having a different kind of sedentary lifestyle where you sat on your keister all day long, listening to a professor fill your ears with whatever propaganda they needed to fill it with, and little by little I started gaining a lot of weight and I started having a weight problem. This was a problem that was magnified over the years where I became what I consider very obese.
I have since learned my lesson.
(16:06) I get up very early in the morning now and I go through an hour and a half worth of exercises, another hour of a sauna before I go to work, and I try to say active work.
I believe when you are a boss, you’re an owner of a business, the best way to be a boss is to manage by walking around. So I try to, and I do walk around from our building to building looking at this product or looking at this production facility or this inventory, and by the end of each day I try to make sure I have anywhere from seven to ten thousand steps. Staying active has helped me I’ve lost 65 pounds in two years now, and I got more to go, but being active is a very healthy thing to be.
Unfortunately, most people today live a lifestyle that is not very active. Like I said, if you’re roofing or you’re doing all kinds of physical manual labor, cutting down trees and all of this kind of stuff, climbing trees, you’re probably not very fat. You probably have a very good physique and a very good healthy body. Now that can be, you can still be skinny and have an unhealthy body if you’re consuming McDonald’s all day long and you’re using all kinds of ultra-processed foods in your in your daily meal. You’re still going to have an unhealthy body. It’s your activity keeping you skinny, but the food you’re eating is still a poison.
(17:34) All the chemicals like I said, it’s in our houses, in our deodorants, in our toothpaste, in our mouthwash, in the scents that we put in our homes, our bed sheets, the fabric softeners that stink. You can’t even buy a garbage bag today that doesn’t have artificial smells coming out of it. I’d rather smell garbage than the nonsense they put in garbage bags. And it’s very hard, I have found them, but it’s very hard to find garbage bags that do not stink. And I don’t know how many times you find unscented garbage bags and they still have a scent to them because they’re coming from a facility that scents every other garbage bag. And the machinery, I guess when they change over to unscented, has enough scent to give it off to the garbage bags. So again, it’s lifestyle that the Western world has adopted in this modern age, filled with chemicals, filled with unhealthy foods, and filled with foods that God tells you in the Bible you should not be in the first place that has caused this obesity epidemic.
(18:29 Another thing I should share is a fourth thing about all of the added sugars on our diet. You’re not meant to have added sugar. Everybody likes to have a cake and you have to put some sugar in the cake or you have to have sugar in certain things. I mean, I don’t put sugar in my tea and I don’t put sugar in my coffee. I don’t put sugar in a lot of things, but once in a while you do want some sugar in some kind of a pastry or dessert or something other than an apple. But you should really limit your sugar consumption. Most every bit of our diabetes epidemic comes from one sugar product in general, and that is high fructose corn syrup. Corn syrup in general, bad for you. That’s diabetes in a can or in a bottle, and we consume too much sugar. And if you were to follow a good Mediterranean biblical type diet where you’re getting your sugar, the majority of the sugar, and remember, your brain does need sugar. It needs sugar to survive. And if without it, your brain will be in trouble. But the sugar that you’re meant to consume comes from dates, raisins, apples, pears, fruits and vegetables. That’s where you’re meant to get most of your sugar from. And even milk products. There’s sugar, lactose sugar, and a lot of dairy products. But again, even when you get to the dairy products, there’s a reason why you probably, if you could get so, you should try to buy sheep milk, sheep cream, or sheep cheese, goat cheese, goat milk, because they have a protein called A2.
(20:06) Now, you can buy nowadays brands of cow milk that are A2, but most milk that you consume today can contain the protein A1, which is not digestible in the human body, and it should not be consumed. The other problem with modern day dairy is everything is highly pasteurized and homogenized. The homogenization process absolutely destroys the molecules of the milk and turns it into a poison. You never should have a homogenized dairy product of any sort. But even the pasteurization process, pasteurization kills the enzymes, the good bacteria and the good enzymes in the milk, which helps aid digest that milk. These nonsense rules by our FDA against raw milk, they don’t even know what they’re talking about. More people die of milk borne diseases that are pasteurized each year by percentage of consumption than anyone who ever gets sick from raw dairy. That’s the plain truth.
Again, it’s big business and big government filling our lives full of lies and fake science, pseudoscience, science that is not real.
(21:24) Raw foods, raw vegetables, raw fruits, for the most part, are unprocessed foods, unprocessed dairy, unprocessed cheeses. They are what God means you to consume. They are what are good for you. So I’m going to get into a slight topic at the end of this program on a different subject than your health today. Well, you know, one last thing I wanted to get into, one last point about Your Health Today and Your Health is a story we have on the message board that was put up today.
(23:07) Elle MacPherson, who was a supermodel back in the 80s and early 90s, I believe, she’s now 60 years old…well she revealed that she had a secret battle with breast cancer and she refused chemotherapy. She refused it even though 32 doctors told her she needed chemotherapy.
(23:34) What I wanted to end this program with is a Your Health, just a minute of Your Health about chemotherapy in general. Chemotherapy as was Dr. Blalock described as a fertilizer for cancer and he described that when you take chemotherapy, you actually probably do kill the cancer that it is trying to kill you. Let’s say you have, I don’t know, breast cancer and you take chemotherapy and radiation treatment chemotherapy and it does kill that breast cancer or for a while at least, but what it is also as Dr. Blalock really pointed out and got my attention when he did, was that it’s a fertilizer. It’s the same as fertilizing the cancers in the rest of your body and he said how many times does someone go into remission from one form of cancer and then end up with another form of cancer within the next five, six, seven, eight years? The scientists who are trying to treat you with chemotherapy lie with statistics when they say that chemotherapy has a 90% success rate of killing the cancer that it is there to treat.
(24:51) Well, first of all they give the answer that it goes more than five years without a recurrence of that breast cancer. They do not count if other cancers form that all of a sudden you have pancreatic cancer or lung cancer or gallbladder cancer, all these other cancers that the chemotherapy acted as a fertilizer. So to be in the statistic, if you, for example, have breast cancer and you go through chemo and radiation and all of the things you’re supposed to do that the 32 doctors told L. McPherson to do and you are in remission now for four or five years, but during that remission period you ended up with, let’s say, gallbladder cancer. Well, the doctor that report the gallbladder cancer will report that as a brand-new cancer and so as far as the statistics show, you’re still cancer free from what you originally had as a cancer, breast cancer, for more than five years even though you’re going to end up still with another cancer. So it’s a very brief thing here. I just wanted to end the program with this because we had just put this up yesterday and it had caught my attention because very well-known people that are in the know like an L. McPherson, a lot of supermodels, a lot of sports stars that are into alternative medicines to make them, I think Tom Brady is, at least he was with his wife, that there is a lot of knowledge coming forward now that cancer can be beaten. It can be beaten with saunas, it can be beaten with a proper diet, it can in many other protocols such as vitamin C drips.
The last thing that anybody really should consider is chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
There may be a time you should do that but I don’t know of any and that’s the plain truth for today on the subject of chemotherapy and cancer.

(27:00) I do recommend people go to the Your Health today several times a week to read the stories we have there, but the message board also has many Your Health Today stories. If you were to do ctrl f for example and type in the word Your Health Today on every single page you’re probably going to find one or two stories without fail and I tried to categorize them together under Your Health Today. Like somebody might put up this story today, the one about weight, there’s two of them here, was put up yesterday.
(27:33) One was about weight loss drugs lowering coronavirus deaths by 33 percent. That is not under Your Health Today yet but when I go and reassign it to a category after it goes down the page a little while it’ll be under a Your Health Today category. So will the Elle MacPherson story which right now is a standalone story towards the top of the Message Board, but it will end up going into a Your Health Today category. So when you go through each page and if you just ctrl f to find and you typed in Your Health Today with spaces between the words you’ll see every page basically has a bunch of Your Health Today stories which are not on the Your Health Today website. Not all of them. Some of them make it there some of them do not but the message board like I always said is the place you need to go to every day. It is just so much information on the Message Board and I just wanted to end this broadcast with the message of the Message Board.

God wants you to be healthy and that’s what’s very important to understand. God does want you to be healthy and you can be healthy by taking care of your body first. If you have a good immune system you’re going to probably fight off diseases and epidemics or you name it…even fight cancer pretty well.
