Well, always during election time one of the major things that we always are talking about is the never-ending discussion or debate over abortion…should abortion be legalized?

Does a woman have a right to choose?

I’m going to have a different take than I think most people are going to understand, but I want to say that this whole idea of when an abortion or if an abortion should occur is what I’m going to talk about today in this 7:11 short audio broadcast.

I am going to give a new focus to what the argument should be, and it is based on this question:

Is the abortion issue a religious issue or is it a legal issue?

This is the plain truth…in my estimation and something that my response has always been for at least the last 35, 40 years is that the abortion issue is not a religious issue. Yes, I believe if you’re a Christian, for example, that you should be against abortion, but that is not what this country was founded on.

This country was founded on Christian principles however our Forefathers made sure that Christianity and any mention of Christianity in our legal documents was not mentioned.

Now, what they did mention and what every one of our Forefathers did believe is that a creator God gave us our rights.

We have natural law from a creator God which Christians can say is Jesus Christ and God the Father, Muslims can say Allah, or people who are not religious can just believe what they want, but the idea that our Forefathers was that they wanted us to think that the law of natural law of a creator God is what gave us the right for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. In addition, that no government law can take away our life, liberty, or pursuit of happiness unless we do something wrong to lose that right.

It is a God-given right, and no act of Congress or no executive order from the President of the United States has the moral authority or legal authority, according to our Founding Fathers, to be able to supplant the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Now let’s take up the notion of abortion.

My belief is that abortion is murder. Now that is not a religious fact. For example, it may be based on religious law. All of our laws are based on religious laws. In every single one of our 50 states, it is against the law to rob someone at gunpoint or in any way. It is against the law to murder someone. It is against the law to do many of the things that we find in the Bible that you probably can find in the Koran or other religious writings as well.

My point is this…that just because the foundation of our laws may be from the Bible, and most of them are, this does not make it a religious issue.

The plain truth is that you cannot murder someone because society has deemed that even though the Bible says, thou shalt not murder, society in general has deemed that murder will destroy society and that laws against murder have to be on the books. So, when we get to abortion, the idea shouldn’t be what’s morally right or morally wrong when we’re talking about this nation’s laws. This nation is supposed to base laws based upon the idea of a creator God, but ultimately base the laws on what the people want.

This is not a true democracy.

It is a republic form of democracy in which the people ultimately should decide their fate.

When it comes to abortion, I think the answer is simple and one that I think will take away all the arguments yet a lot of people on left and right will not like my solution. The solution is a national referendum of when is abortion murder and is abortion murder, or is it not murder?

Leave it up to the people of the United States to decide. Then they can rectify their decision, whatever it is, with their God.

By the way, if it is the God of the Bible, which I believe the God of the Bible is who blesses this country or who is going to curse this country, whatever they decide in a national referendum should be the law of the land, and they should face the consequences that God will give us for making the wrong decision.

The people of the United States of America, in a national referendum, should decide what is murder and if abortion is murder, and or what stage of a pregnancy does a child become a human being, and therefore, if you kill the child, it becomes murder. Now laws on murder allow for murder in certain circumstances to occur, does it not? It allows, for example, someone to protect themself if somebody is coming at you with a gun or your wife with a gun, and you shoot and kill that person. It’s called justifiable homicide. That would be the same thing regarding a woman whose child is going to kill her in some kind of a medical reason where she has to have an abortion because of medical reasons for her life, then you could look at it as self-defense.

It works in every 50 states as a legal argument against someone killing someone and as a result, not being punished for it. Well the same would apply with abortion.

But the simple truth, the plain truth, is the American people should decide what is abortion, when is it legal, when is it not legal, and really it should not be a state issue.

What Donald Trump did and the Supreme Court did is a good way to get around the issue, but it’s not the answer to the issue.

The answer is to put it to the face of the American public for a national referendum, and if they decide abortion is legal at the fifth month, then it’s legal at the fifth month…this way the people of America can suffer the consequences if there’s going to be any consequences. I believe there would be consequences, because I do believe in the God of the Bible who is against abortion of all cases, except for the life of the mother however, it should be up to the people…it should be that we let the people decide.

Remember in the Old Testament when God said to the people that Moses was taking to the Promised Land…to choose yourself, today. Choose life or choose death. I ask you, God says, to choose life.  Let me point out something…do you notice that God did not command the people to choose life? They could choose whatever they wanted to, and God let them know they would suffer the consequences.
