Hi, Bob Barney with The Plain Truth today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com, and I’m going to do the 2025 election roundup. And honestly, I was going to do this today, Wednesday, but this is actually all from Tuesday night, because I saw all I needed to see Tuesday night. I also saw a headline before the results came in.
I’m going to read those first, and I’m going to play some audio that I’ve taken from the news stations about this election. But I want to first start off before I play anything about a poll that I saw that told me everything I needed to know about this election. And I saw this poll today, Tuesday, I should say, when I actually am recording this.
President Trump’s disapproval rating has reached an all-time high, according to a new poll. About 63% of voters disapprove of Trump’s job as president, reaching the highest disapproval rating across both his terms in a CNN poll. And before you say, ah, it’s a CNN poll, I’ll tell you right now, of the election coverage tonight, or I should say last night, because this is a Wednesday show, of the election coverage, CNN probably had the best election coverage this time around.
They had some conservative people on there, just to let you know, people that all the mega people would normally have loved, but they also had some people on there that was telling the plain truth, and no other station really was. But this previous high was 62% disapproving when he was leaving office in 2021. So he has right now a bigger disapproval than when he left office after the January 6th incident, which I’ve always thought was a Democrat plot, and it really was, but he didn’t play this right as well.
The president’s overall approval rating sits at the lowest point of his second term with 37% of voters approving of his job as president. This is a guy who consciously says how everybody loves him, the country loves him, and it’s just nonsense. And what we saw with this election was not against Sears that was running for governor, or the guy in New Jersey, I couldn’t pronounce his name off the top of my head quickly here, or Mandami, who when I’m doing this, he’s not been said he’s going to be elected.
But it would be funny, and I’m not going to do this on Wednesday morning, like I said, because I’m going to get this put up and I’m going to go to work, because I already see what was going to happen. But Mandami probably is going to win New York as well. But it would be ironic, wouldn’t it, if the only person that Trump endorsed was a Democrat that even won at all, meaning Cuomo.
But here’s the situation. Donald Trump was elected president, and I said this within a month of his election, before he even took office, when he kept talking about that he won in a landslide, which he did not, and he also had a mandate, which he did not. The last year’s election, about a year ago today, the last year’s election was all about anti-Harris and anti-Biden.
The economy, stupid, is always the answer to every election. And Donald Trump was elected because his first term around, which I always said Trump 1.0 was so much better than Trump 2.0, his first term around, he did a very good job for the three years until he messed up. And I’m going to tell you this right now, I’ve said this before, he messed up the entire COVID thing.
The vaccine that he produced in his term that he likes to take credit for has maimed more people than anything else, any other vaccine ever made, number one. Number two, he allowed Dr. Fauci to totally control this entire COVID epidemic under him, and it was a large part of why he lost so many votes in 2020, even though I still believe that that 2020 vote was probably stolen by the Democrats, who are very good at stealing elections. This election yesterday was not stolen at all by the Democrats.
They didn’t need to do it. Their best candidate for them was Donald Trump and Donald Trump’s economy. When people voted for Donald Trump last year, they voted with the memory of Trump 1.0 and how well the first three years of the economy went for everybody.
Every single class of people, blacks, Hispanics, women, minorities of any type, poor people, middle-class people, every single demographic of people in 2017, 2018, and 2019 until the COVID fiasco, every class of American citizens were making more money year after year, and everybody was doing good. And this is what they saw last year, especially after the assassination attempts, which also won him a lot of favor by people seeing how he handled it. And many people thought, myself included, that Trump 2.0 was going to be a repeat of Trump 1.0, but he was not going to allow a COVID-type situation to replace him as president because of his ineptness with COVID, and it was ineptness on his part.
He gave us Joe Biden in one way or another, stolen or not. But the reason he was elected, and do not understate this, the reason he was elected was people were sick and tired of runaway inflation, high prices, high energy bills, nobody being able to go anywhere without a mask, everything that everybody thought Donald Trump would do, they did not expect what Donald Trump 2.0 is doing. For example, they did not expect that he was going to devote all his time to tariffs and raising prices with tariffs and go to war with Canada and go into war with Europe and go into war with our allies and causing prices to go up.
People expected that Donald Trump was going to laser focus on the American economy, was going to try to get jobs back here, try to get businesses back here with targeted tariffs like he did the first time around against China. They did not expect tariffs against Canada, and they didn’t expect all of the nonsense that he put this country through this first nine months of his presidency, and they did not expect the Hispanics that voted for him, did not expect that all of a sudden he wasn’t going to just deport illegal criminal aliens, he was going to deport any illegal alien they came across. And there’s more criminal aliens still to be found, which we’re not even looking for.
We’re going to Home Depots, we’re looking for people going to work at somebody’s house and deporting them. We’re not going into the inner cities looking for the criminals. This is why we reported this last week that the ICE Director Holman and Kristi Noem, the Homeland Security Chief, are at odds with each other.
They’re fighting tooth and nail. It’s not being reported by most mainstream media, but it’s the absolute truth that those two are at each other’s throats right now and they’re fighting, and the White House don’t know what to do about it, because Holman realizes that he has lost his ability to defend the deportation of people who did not do crimes other than get here illegally. And Kristi Noem, who’s trying to run for president in 2028, wants him to deport every single illegal alien, and all she wants is a number count.
She don’t care if they’re criminals or not. She don’t care if they’re violent or not. She wants as many deportations under her watch so she can run for president in 2028 as the deportation queen.
And it’s not going to work, because the Hispanic vote that came Trump’s way, thinking he was going to make America great again, all of a sudden all the neighbors, including maybe some of them that are even American citizens, American citizens have been deported because they are Hispanic origin. This is a plain truth. It’s been reported.
We had this case with them claiming this person’s a criminal, this person’s a criminal, when they were not. We’ve had case after case that we reported on the plain truth that the people being deported, they won’t even allow the press to interview them or other congresspeople to interview them. So he’s lost the Hispanic vote.
He’s losing the black support vote. The things that he was able to convince people in 2024, these people are turning against him. And I knew this was going to be a bad election.
I’ve been saying this on this program for a while. I’m going to play a few quotes that I think will sum it up. But even Stefanik there that was going to be his nomination for the UN.
And she stepped down. I think she stepped down now that I look back because she saw that he was going to destroy the Republican party and she wants to run for governor. And I saw her last night on CNN.
Yes, she was on CNN as a guest, actually distanced herself from Donald Trump by saying the pendulum went too far with these deportations and he’s lost the entire Hispanic support, which she is an Hispanic herself, Hispanic Republican, who he nominated to be the UN ambassador. And she stepped down. And maybe this was the reason why she saw what was coming because it was very, very evident from within a month, actually within two weeks of him taking office.
Within three weeks of him taking office, I had this, I played the best of Bob of saying his administration is off to a bad start and he’s on the verge of destroying his entire presidency before it’s two months old. And at the time I had a lot of pushback. I had a lot of pushback from friends, from family, from everyone, but it’s been plain and simple that the economy is not gotten better.
He’s focused on Hamas. He’s focused on Ukraine. He’s focused on Iran.
He’s focused on trying to make a war with Venezuela, bailing out Argentina with money that he can come up for them, but he can’t come up for snap people. He’s making wars around the world. He’s trying to talk about going to Nigeria to so-called save Christians.
He’s actually going to Nigeria and Venezuela for the oil, if the plain truth was known. And he has absolutely taken mainstream America and turned them off. He’s done it so quick, it even surprises me.
But I’m going to play some quotes here that I think is very important to listen to, and you will understand. This was from CNN, and I’m going to talk in this as well. So you’re going to hear me.
I recorded this earlier in the night when I was starting to realize what was going to happen in this election. I heard rank choice voting dragged in here. I mean, NAACP leaders all over the country, all over the country hate it because it disenfranchises people.
You want actual disenfranchisement, that second ballot wipes thousands of people out of elections, and it’s phenomenally confusing. It’s easy enough for people. What they’re talking about, and I want to explain this before I continue playing it, what they’re talking about is these ballot initiatives to gerrymander all these districts that the Democrats actually did.
And there are some great responses that what the Republicans are doing is just trying to do what the Democrats did. But anyway, I want to hear this. I want you to hear this, and then my comments.
That doesn’t work for regular Americans. And it’s a disaster. This whole dynamic is a downward spiral, okay? New York did- It’s like mutually assured destruction, every state’s got to do it.
That’s exactly what’s happening. By the way, over three decades ago, there were over 100 competitive seats last November, 35 seats were decided by five points or less. You do mid-decade redistricting all over the country, it’s going to be even less than that.
Let me just make one point. New York did mid-decade redistricting last year. They picked up four seats in New York.
So this whole notion that it just started with Texas, this has been happening for decades. Eric Holder, the former attorney general under Barack Obama, went and headed up the National Democratic Redistricting Committee because he was intent on gerrymandering the maps all across the country. You look at your home state of Illinois, three Republicans, despite the fact that Republicans get 40 plus percent of the vote in the state.
It’s absurd. Mike Lawler made a very good point here, and I’ve been saying this for a while, that what he went on to say, and I didn’t record this part, but he went on to say, we need to do away with gerrymandering, it is in the Constitution, and go to an independent selection of districting. And I agree with this because the Democrats have been doing mid-century redistricting long before Trump asked Texas to do the same thing for the Republicans.
And I didn’t think that was a good idea at the time that got California involved, but the Democrats have been doing this for a long time. And if you look at the map, and this has been something that’s been brought up in this election, if you look at the map, you will see that of the 435 open seats, remember, in the House of Representatives, every seat goes up for election every two years. And if you look at all 435 districts, there are only about 30 that are ever competitive.
And that is why the other night on News Nation on the Chris Cuomo show, they had Joe Manchin, former senator from West Virginia, who brought this point up that there is no real races in either the Senate or the House anymore, but especially the House, because of the redistricting situation in the House, that there are no competitive races, basically, in the entire House. So this is the reason there is a government shutdown, because all each person does, be it Republican or Democrat, they’re all in safe districts. The only thing they have to worry about is being primaried in their own party.
But these districts are set now that no matter what happens in the general election, the elections are really decided in the primaries because of this gerrymandering and redistricting, where if you are a Republican area, the Republican is going to win no matter what. If you’re in a Democrat area, the Democrats are going to win no matter what. So all they do is pander to their base.
They don’t even care about the other 40 percent, 45 percent of the people in their district. You are not getting representation as a citizen, a Republican or a Democrat, depending on what district you’re in. You do not get representation, because they don’t want to even listen to you.
They’re only going to listen to their base. Joe Manchin made a great point. And this is destroying Congress, and it’s destroying the election process in America.
And something needs to be done about it. And if it is not done, I’m afraid we’re going to see more of this mid-century redistricting, which the Democrats perfected. And now Donald Trump’s got the Republicans doing the same.
And I understand why he’s doing it, but it’s going to lead to where there is really no true representative of all the people. He made a great point about Illinois, 45, 46 percent of the people in Illinois vote Republican, yet they only have three districts that are Republican because of the gerrymandering, mid-century gerrymandering, that Illinois did to help Democrats. And it was being done in New York.
It’s being done in California now. And this is why Republican-leaning states like Florida, California, other places, are doing this mid-century redistricting. This has to be changed.
I don’t know. I don’t have the answer. I will tell you right now.
I don’t have the answer, but it is a problem. And it’s a problem that’s going to continue with our elections as long as the guy or the girl in that seat, in that congressional seat, does not have to worry about the opposition voter because there’s not enough votes for them. They can’t lose.
And if out of 435 congressmen or women, 400 of them, you know, or 405 of them don’t have to worry about losing the election on election night, and they only have to worry about their primary, then we have a problem. This is the reason Chuck Schumer is not ending the shutdown because he knows AOC, Cortez, is going to primary him. And if she wins the New York primary for Senate, she’s the Senator.
It’s that simple. Because they have gerrymandered New York in such a way that when the election comes around for Senator, no Republican can win. It’s that simple.
And what’s going to actually end up happening if wins in New York, 40% of the people voting today, and they’re going to be the ones voting against them most likely, own their own homes in New York City, and 60% rent. So the people who own their own homes, paying all this ridiculous property taxes, which is going on, these people are going to guess. Guess what? They’re going to move to Florida.
A report that Joe Manchin pointed out is 865,000 to 1 million New York City residents will probably move to Florida, taking three congressional seats with them, and Florida will gain three, and New York City will lose three. And that means AOC needs to run for Senate because her district is going to be done away with in New York because of this absolute election rigging going on by both parties. But the Democrats have done a much better job than the Republicans over the last 20 years, and this has to come to an end.
There is no fair elections, even when there are so-called fair elections, because of this gerrymandering that’s going on. They have figured a way to break the system. They’ve broken the system, and the American people are suffering because of it.
They’re tuning out. They don’t care about elections anymore, and more and more people will sit home and not even bother going to an election. And can you blame people in districts that know they can’t win? Their vote means nothing because of this gerrymandering.
So this is a point that I did need to bring out in this program of these election results. Election day today really means nothing in congressional seats especially. And that’s what I had recorded earlier tonight.
I took those quotes from a CNN show, which was the best coverage last night, if you want to believe it or not. It was the best, most fair coverage of anything. And the plain truth, and I’ll say that again, is that this was an election about Donald Trump and his economy.
I said, and I was one who voted for Donald Trump three times now, that I thought that he was going to laser focus on getting this economy turned around like he did the first time around. And he laser focused on everything in the world and trying to help everything around the world for his own ego. And Donald Trump’s arrogance and ego is his downfall.
And unfortunately, it is the downfall for the Republican Party in the future for a long time, and it’s the downfall of the American middle class that needed Donald Trump to be like he was in 2017 and 2018. Right now, you have this trouble going on in Venezuela, where Donald Trump is planning on a full-on assault, and you have Russia sending their hypersonic missiles to Venezuela, and that’s not being reported in too many places. China has stabbed Trump in the back within one week of their meeting.
Xi Jinping has told most of the third world nations, keep buying from us because we believe in fair trade, not Trump’s tariffs. And then China backs Maduro and says they will help support any Trump assault against Venezuela. And if you don’t see that this regime change around the world, we tried it in Iran and failed in Iran, as I predicted the night it happened.
I knew that Trump was going to back away, which he did. He’s living up to his taco image, and the world is laughing at him. I have a partner, and my paint company plans on exporting, and now it looks like we can’t even export, around the world.
We’re making a Tamco paint international company. We made it already. And I have a man who is helping me.
He’s the director of my international sales. He travels to 68 countries in the world, and he is as an American as I’ve ever known an American, a Ronald Reagan supporter like I was, and said this is the first time that he’s ever traveled in the 35 years he’s gone around the world to different countries where everybody is saying even worse than during the Biden years. I remember when Biden was president, he was telling me how the world was saying, how in the world did this man ever become president? He’s destroying your country.
They are worse about Donald Trump than they were about Joe Biden. We used to have the respect of the entire world the way Ronald Reagan set things up, and we broke the Soviet Union’s back. We destroyed East German
y.
We destroyed the communist West. Poland became free, and everything is going backward, and the American people see it, I mean, you take Virginia, for example. This guy for attorney general, Jay Jones, he wanted not only the person in the Republican legislative person killed and his family killed and his children killed, he also said, listen to this, he also had a tweet said, I hope enough police officers in Virginia can be killed so the streets will be safer.
Well, he was just voted as attorney general of Virginia over his opponent. Think about that. The Virginians didn’t even care about this guy who doesn’t even deserve to be in office.
He should be brought up on charges, but he’s now the attorney general of Virginia because the Virginian voters who are really hurting with this government shutdown, and I predicted, and I heard some people tell me I was wrong, I predicted this shutdown is going to be blamed on Donald Trump, and it is being blamed on Donald Trump. All the exit polls in Loudoun County, Virginia, which overwhelmingly voted against the Republicans, all the exit polls blame the government shutdown on Donald Trump. They blame the snap cutoff on Donald Trump and the Republicans.
It is backfiring and the American people are losing, losing, losing. And the last thing we need is the Democrats to take control of Congress in 2026 and maybe the Senate and then the presidency in 2028. Because if I was JD Vance, I’d forget about running for president.
He will be destroyed by his association with Donald Trump. So will Rubio. The one candidate for the Republican that I think now could possibly be the only viable Republican candidate in 2028 is Glenn Younkin.
And listen to this. Exit polls showed that Virginia GOP governor Glenn Youngkin sports still a 55% approval rating, yet they voted for the Democrat, and a 58% of responders say the economy is excellent to great in Virginia because of him. Think about that.
But his running mate, that’s running for governor now, Sears, can’t even get 40% of the vote, it don’t look like. Spanberger is winning almost all of this because they disapprove of Donald Trump’s economy and where he is taking the state of Virginia in spite of what Youngkin did. So when all the battle lines are drawn by 2028, I think you’re going to see Glenn Youngkin doing a bet much better in the polling than Vance or Rubio will ever do.
The other thing that’s kind of interesting in this whole thing is that the Jews in New York looks like we’ll find out, I mean, by the time this show plays, we may know if Mamdani wins or not, but we’ll find out how many Jews voted for this guy. And this guy is an anti-Semite. He’s an anti-Semite, and this is a vote in New York City, again, against Donald Trump and his policies.
It’s that simple. Same thing in New Jersey, a candidate that should have won, in my opinion, it should have won in New Jersey, went down handily. I mean, easily was defeated because, again, of his association with Donald Trump, and New Jersey voted against Trump.
Very low approval rating for Donald Trump in New Jersey. Well, that’s the wrap up I did Tuesday night. I’ll be honest, I didn’t do this Wednesday morning.
I intended to, but I’m going to go to sleep and I’m going to realize I got to decide what I’m going to do in Virginia now because Virginia is going to be back to where it was when I decided to move a lot of my operations to Florida because Florida is the one free state in America. And Florida is going to actually be the winner of this election cycle because you’re going to see a lot of money, a lot of people running to Florida from the Northeast and from Virginia in the next two years. And Florida is going to pick up a lot of congressional seats.
And the Democrats who think they won everything this time around are going to find themselves in trouble by 2028 at least, and by 2030 when the census is taken, when they find out they don’t have that much congressional seats anymore because they’re all moving to Florida. That’s my opinion. This is Bob Barney for the Plain Truth Election Coverage 2025.
And we’ll be back here again tomorrow with a normal show and not an election show. It’s very discouraging, I have to say, for the hope that I think most Americans had just one year ago. Bob Barney saying thank you for listening.
We do appreciate you. Until tomorrow, bye-bye.
