Friday Wrap-Up with Bob: August 23, 2024 (Transcript)

Good morning, it’s Bob Barney with the Plain Truth Today Friday wrap-up from The Plain Truth dot com.

Do you happen to remember last week I was talking about the polls showing Kamala Harris catching Trump and beating Trump in many polls and I warned you that it was all fake? I was upset with the conservative media, not the mainstream media because we know they’re really an agent or an arm of the Democratic Party.

I was complaining because the conservative media was promoting these polls that show Kamala Harris doing well when I know she’s not doing well. It’s just what pollsters do because most pollsters are really in the Democratic camp as well. I was saying that you have to look at the polls themselves and see how they oversample democrats and I was mentioning how this is an age-old thing, and I was kind of concerned that conservative media wasn’t covering this.  Well, the other night on Newsmax, they had somebody covering it, so here is this story. It’s about five minutes’ worth:

1:10…but still. you’ll get the message. And a closer look at some of these polls elicits some very interesting information. A recent poll by YouGov and The Economist, for example, showing Harris up three points over Trump nationally, 46 to 43, has the establishment media euphoric. Now, remember, being up nationally doesn’t really mean anything anyways with the Electoral College. It certainly doesn’t mean a victory for Harris, but it does show our head, which they love, but when you look at the cross tags, you actually see a pretty glaring issue. It’s right there in front of you on the screen right now. The sample audience that they used consisted of 531 people that said they were Democrats, only 387 people who said they were Republicans, to go along with the 450 people who are in the middle as Independents. And even that skewed, and that’s really skewed. The Economist still barely has the National League, which, as we all know, Trump could lose and still win the election, in the national election, in a country that currently has more people identifying as Republican than Democrat. Remember that.More Republicans than Democrats in this country right now. This poll oversampled Democrats by a ridiculous margin of 531 to 387. As of last month, Gallup reported 30 percent of the people in this country identify as Republican, 28 percent as Democrat, 41 as Independent. Trump pollster Jim McLaughlin joins us now, along with Robert Kihaly, chief pollster and founder of the Trafalgar Group. Gentlemen, good to have you both on. Robert, you guys did wizardry in 2016.You beat everybody else. They all thought it was going to be Hillary. You knew it would be Trump.Tell us about the polling process, and should they be able to avoid a poll as skewed as this YouGov poll was? Well, there’s a lot of really skewed polls that seem to be included these days. As some of them, I think one of the worst things they’re doing is they’re using online panels instead of actually regular voters. I always say the problem with a lot of these polls is you get people who care too much about politics. Well, first of all, if you’re an online panel, you’re not a regular person. One, you have a lot of spare time, and two, you have very developed political opinions. Low information voters and people like that have tremendous impact on the election. One, you have to survey enough, I think 500 for the entire country is a joke. You have to balance it a lot better, and you have to look at not just how they self-identify, but what their party registration and party behavior says, which sometimes can be contradictory. People who identify as independents who are not by any means independents. T here’s a lot of problems with the way this poll was conducted, and certainly it would meet the McLaughlin standard. Let me just get your thoughts. Go ahead. You look at these polls, and a lot of times they expose themselves. Some of these polls, they’re not transparent. They’re not giving you the number of Republicans, the number of Biden Trump voters from back in the 2020 election. I’ll give you a good example, too, is the Siena Poll, New York Times Poll. To their credit, they actually looked at by party. They looked at it by how they voted for president back in 2020.One of the things they did was in the three big battleground states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan, they under sampled Trump voters from six to nine points. That’s what they continuously do. They do expose themselves when you look at the internals, because many times you’re seeing in these polls Donald Trump’s doing very well with Hispanics. He’s doubling his percentage among black voters, and that’s how you know that Donald Trump is the one that really has the momentum in this race. Robert, maybe you can speak to this. Sometimes I’ve heard them say suppression polls, but I think that when you put a poll out there that makes it look like Kamala is doing well, it creates the idea in a lot of people’s minds that aren’t intelligent enough to think for themselves that, oh, she must be better than I think she is. People obviously like her, so I should like her, too. This kind of polling, in my opinion, is dangerous. It’s almost like election meddling, in a way, to put a poll out there like that and have a dispute. For years, we’ve talked about the fact that polls have two purposes. They can reflect the electorate, or they can be designed to affect the electorates, and a lot of these do exactly that. They not only suggest that somebody’s doing better than they can, but they can also generate artificial momentum. Sometimes, like Jim said, this is kind of where you put your emphasis. I’ve watched a lot of these media outlets. One week, they’ll put one out and it says likely voters, and then a couple weeks later, it’ll be registered voters, and then adults. I’m like, why can’t you just be consistent? What you find is they pick the method that best gets the result they want. I’ll tell you what. It burned them in 2016.A lot of these pollsters were embarrassed at that election. Hillary was supposed to win that. They were really wrong in 2020, too. Error rates were off the charts in 2020. Exactly right. I’m going to leave it there. Jim McLaughlin, Robert Cahilly, gentlemen, good to see you both. Thank you. 

 6:48 Well, there you are. This is what I was telling you last week about having oversampling Democrats as it’s an age-old thing. I’m finally glad that somebody at Newsmax showed what I was talking about. It kind of gives me a little bit of credibility, I guess, but it is just something you have to be aware of. There is no way, no how that Kamala Harris, unless she’s got 25 million illegal voters from Mexico and South America are going to be voting. There’s no way she’s even going to be close in this election. To my idea, the Democrats know it and they threw her and Walz out to the wolves because they want to get rid of that faction of the Democratic Party. Why? Because they’re destroying the Democratic Party. That’s just my opinion, so I wanted to get into that before we get into the next subject.

8:04 Now, the next subject is a real big scandal and that is what the Biden-Harris administration did with the figures for the last at least one year, I believe longer actually about faking the job results, the job numbers that just absolutely have turned out to be a fraud by almost 818,000 jobs that did not get created that was attributed to be created by Biden.

Now, you remember when you go back to even when Joe Biden was still running for president before he being talked about being replaced by Kamala Harris, of all people, that he kept boasting about the job recovery under his administration. Those of us in business and many of the you out there I’m sure in business or just in the workforce realize that just could not be the case because too many people do not have jobs. Too many people are just absolutely not working. It’s hard to find people who want jobs because too many people are paid to stay home. They’re paid to stay home with welfare and food stamps and everything else. A lot of people just don’t want to work. I have people constantly come to my business that want to work under the table which I’m not going to do. First of all, if I can’t write it off as a business expense, it’s not even worth it for me to have such a people.

They are getting money from the government.

They’re getting free food and free rent and free who knows what else, plus money. And then they want to have a job that they’re paid under the table! 

10:16 This week, Donald Trump has really grabbed on it. But then I heard today, Fox News trying to downplay it that it was not a scandal per se. It was not done on purpose that it was just a review. They realized they had made an error. Yeah, right, a million people error. Now, let’s get real. Anyway, this is again from that same Newsmax show from Wednesday night. And I want to play again what they had to say about this 800,000-job situation which just absolutely should make everybody mad.

Massive jobs revision today, the Biden-Harris administration overstating job growth, overstating job growth by a whopping 818,000 from April 2023 until March of this year. For that one-year span, the job growth in this country was exaggerated by nearly a million jobs. This is the second largest correction ever, only behind the 2008 financial crisis when they got it done wrong as well.

It is a clear sign the economy is faltering. It is a clear sign Bidenomics is a failing economic ideology. Instead of 242,000 monthly average job gains under the old estimate, the economy actually created an average of about 173,000 for that period of time. That is a massive revision. Think about all the sycophantic Biden headlines over his strong economy that we saw over the course of that year. Think about how many people in this country believe that Bidenomics maybe works because of those numbers. Trump addressed these huge jobs revision at his rally in North Carolina earlier today. Really isn’t a revision. It’s a total lie. Total lie. There’s never been any revision like this. The Harris-Biden administration has been caught fraudulently manipulating job statistics to hide the true extent of the economic ruin that they’ve inflicted on America. Brooke Rawlins is the chief strategist in the Trump White House and she joins us now. I want to get your reaction to what he just said there. We’re all trying to figure out. I assume that the initial numbers came from the BLS, right? Bureau of Labor Statistics. Is this also their revision as well? How do they screw it up this badly? Is it political? What do you think? You know, I don’t know. It’s just one more thing of the constant lies, the smoke and mirrors, telling the American people that everything’s wonderful, that the border’s fine, that our world is safe, that not to worry about China. Oh really? Don’t pay any attention to that disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan. Oh wait, don’t even look at the gas prices at the gas station. It’s all fine. It’s all going to come down. Now anyway, here’s the great thing. We saw Don Lemon kind of wander around. I don’t know if any of your viewers saw this asking who you vote for. And one of the conversations was, but you know the Biden economy is doing great. And this wonderful human said, uh, no, I know it’s not because I laughed at his face. So today is just one more example, just one more, a big tech, big government, big media trying to trick the American people into thinking that Bidenomics is a real thing. That in fact, the last three and a half years of what has been a debacle of an administration, they’re trying to say, oh, it’s wonderful. Look at Kamala Harris. Isn’t she just going to bring everybody together and unify and bring this country back? And when in fact it’s not the case. And today is just one more example of what we know to be true. It’s just amazing. I mean, there’s no, no economy in the world grows stronger with more taxes and regulation and nonsense from government. It just doesn’t work that way no matter. And they try to fool you into thinking that, oh, but middle out and or the bottom up or whatever, it’s just, it’s all, it’s all crap. And we all know it’s crap. And this is just the proof that it’s crap. Um, and you have Kamala, go ahead. Oh, I was just going to say, it just being in the last white house for three years, right next to President Trump and part of the domestic policy agenda and leading that every day, we fought for every day. Americans, the forgotten man and woman, every day we thought about how can we lift the burden of government off of their back every day? We talked about how do we lower taxes? How do we create more freedom? And you saw that it was the blue-collar boom. It was the highest rate of job security of take home wages for all Americans, not just those of a certain economic level. And now we see the blue collar bust. We see the loss of jobs. We see a net zero increase in manufacturing jobs under Biden Harris. When in fact under President Trump, it was half a million new jobs. The new plan because they’ve spent so much money because they can’t stop spending money like psychopaths in Washington. They want to start taxing unrealized gains now. So we’ve gotten to the point where we’re taxing money that doesn’t even exist yet to satiate these monsters in Washington that are decimating this country.

 15:05 Well, that was the story there from last night on Newsmax. He ended up with what we talked about earlier in this show about the actual idea you’re going to tax capital gains tax at 48%…unrealized gains. So, if what you have in a stock goes up and doubles in a year you’ll pay 48% tax on the gain. Next year if it crashes, bombs, and the company goes out of business, well, you’re screwed. You’ve already lost your money, and you are not going to get it back, especially if you’re a retiree and you don’t have a large source of money. It’s just going to happen that way and that’s a crying shame.

Regarding this job report… please do not think it just was this last year. Don’t think that these numbers have not been doctored and massaged now for some three years because I know they have been. There haven’t been 15 million jobs created. The only jobs that were created outside of government jobs or illegal alien jobs are those few COVID layoff jobs that came back to work. If you really look at the statistics, you’re going to find that most jobs created were those working for either the federal, state, or local governments. Now your government employees are really the largest set of employees of any group…that is unsustainable. You can’t have a government run by all employees and where everybody works for the government. That’s what we’re seeing here under democratic rule with a lot of Republican support. It’s bad news all the way around. That’s all I can say about that. It’s really bad news

16:45 The other thing I wanted to get into that we covered this week on The Plain Truth, was if anybody could stomach and listen to some of the speakers of the democratic party during their convention this week, which I could NOT…but some of the things that were said and stated by people that we are supposed to respect…which I do not have any respect for any of them…especially for what came out of the mouth of both Michelle Obama and then later out of Oprah Winfrey who doubled down on this idea that it is okay to keep porn in school libraries.

It’s okay to change the gender of children under 15, 16 years old without notifying their parents too. I just, again, think that these people are saying it’s Kamala Harris that’s really left of center. She’s the one that is so radical, her and Walz…but I have got news for you…the first real radical was Hillary Clinton! Bill Clinton was smart enough to get her off the stage back in 1994 when Newt Gingrich took over the house with his contract with America.

17:49 The next real big leftist, communist, and no-good SOB that destroyed this country, well, was on the verge of destroying this country if not for Donald Trump coming back and saving it…I am speaking of Barack Obama. Barack, who unlike Kamala Harris, I will admit, ran as someone who was a nice guy. He ran as somebody who was going to be a centrist, a little bit like Joe Biden who tried that as well in 2020 however, when he got into office, he started picking fights with anything that he hated. He even removed Winston Churchill’s bust out of the White House which was a gift years back because he hated Winston Churchill for his colonist ideas, and especially that in Kenya, Africa. And he also went to war with policemen. Do you remember that policemen acted stupidly? That’s what he said, stupidly, because his policemen thought this black guy who was a professor didn’t belong there. Maybe in this policeman’s experience, as it turned out to be, a lot of people didn’t belong there that also were there… they were troublemakers. The other night on what might have been RAV TV, there was a black guy being interviewed who had a good statement. He said, you know what, I am 10 times more likely to be robbed, mugged, or killed by a member of my own race than I am any white person. That is the plain truth of what he said! He continued that he doesn’t go down the street and see white people and worry about his existence however if he goes down the street and sees black people who look like they are a problem…if they look like hoodlums that he could be a victim. He went on to say, black women are always and often the victims of these hoodlum rap type black men who are raping, robbing, and just absolutely punching out and doing all kinds of evil against black women and black men. He was saying, you know, this is not politically correct to say it, even for a black man. The truth is that if anybody is really honest with themselves, they know that black people are 10 times more afraid of other black people in their neighborhood even more than they are of any cop, or any white person, or any person of any other color. It’s, again, the facts. Remember, the facts do not lie about what’s going on here.

20:14 The other thing that happened yesterday was another potential assassination attempt on Donald Trump at the Arizona border which is also obviously the Mexican border. The person of interest, the last I had seen before bed was that they hadn’t caught the guy yet…but there was a guy with a death threat against Donald Trump, the second type threat against Donald Trump now. Ther was the one shooting him, and now someone trying to shoot him now six weeks later. You can find the story about that on our Plain Truth Message Board.

It is an incredible amount of danger that Trump is in right now because the deep state wants to stop him. I don’t believe all these people are just one-off crazies out there. I think there’s more to it than we’re being told.

21:02 On another issue that I wanted to talk about, and this is about this idea that, again, going back to the polls and Kamala Harris, like we talked about in the beginning of the show…I made a prediction to my wife, and I am so happy that my prediction came true so quickly because I said to her the other day, you know, you notice you’re not hearing the Nielsen ratings about how many people are watching the Democratic National Convention. We know, and everybody was also reporting…even the mainstream media, just how many millions of people were tuning into the Republican convention. The next thing you have to say which I told my wife is that you’re not going to see any mainstream media giving any results because I bet that you’re going to find out that the Nielsen ratings are going to mirror the bad poll results. That they know that internally their internal polls are showing them that Kamala Harris is being beaten tremendously. So, lo and behold, I did find an article this morning about how popular this Democratic convention is, and my brother Bill who actually found it for me and he had put it up…it says, Nielsen television ratings for the past two nights show a sharp drop-off in viewership compared with the last time Democrats had a convention eight years ago in 2016. Well, I don’t know about eight years, they had a convention in 2020, I thought. But anyway, furthermore, despite the undeniable energy among the party faithful, which I would disagree with that they have a candidate who can walk and talk instead of being a cadaver like Biden, there is also a message seeping through from party elders to the base. This election is definitely not in the bag, no fooling. That they are worried that Trump is still going to win, and I’ll put in they know he’s going to win in the landslide unless they can find a way to steal this election, fair and square. Both Michelle Obama and Barack Obama who are weirdly obsessed with Donald Trump, this is the article I’m reading, as evidenced by their Tuesday evening speeches, made clear towards the end of their addresses to the convention that they do not believe Harris has the election won and they very well could lose it. I have news for you, that is accurate, and the Nielsen ratings are awful, as I predicted it will be.

And so are the internal polls.

So are the internal polls that are showing the Democrats, and they know it…it was an awful performance by Harris and Walz. These two freaks are just not going to resonate with the American voter for the most part. Maybe 20 or 25 million illegal voters voting could change the election, but it won’t be fair…again.

24:08 Another story we had on the Message Board, this was an exclusive story…was that Biden is blamed for 291,000 migrant children being sex trafficked. 291,000!!! Remember when the Democrats made this big thing, I think they still are, about Trump keeping children in cages on the border? Well, actually, Barack Obama kept putting up the cages and that’s who was putting the children in cages. But even the Trump administration kept going with the cages, not that they started the cages, because they were trying to protect the children from these sex predators and these sex traffickers that are just taking over the children. Senator Josh Hawley, and sometimes he is Hollywood Hawley, is demanding answers from the DHS on the nearly 300,000 unaccompanied migrant children they may have lost track of within the United States.

The agency internal watchdog warned an urgent issue with how immigration officials have been handling the cases of these migrant 232,000 children that have failed to show up for immigration summits, and ICE has not been able to account for their locations. For more than 291,000 unaccompanied immigrant minors, ICE has not even bothered to serve them court dates, according to the watchdog. Two-thirds of the migrant children who have been made their way to the United States are possible victims of sex trafficking. No fooling. Isn’t that what we said, other people have said, what’s going on with all these women, young women, older women, and children being brought over the border by these coyotes that they’re turning them into prostitutes, they’re turning them into victims of pedophiles, and this is brought to you solely by the Barack Obama, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris Walz movement, the democratic movement.

That is who is making sure that these children are victims of sex trafficking.

Hold nothing back. If you don’t mind children being sold into slavery in America, sex slavery, and women as well, against their will, then I think that you deserve the wrath of God, because there is no excuse for what’s going on and all they’re trying to do is bring as many people here as possible to break the system down so they can have illegal voters to try to steal elections and try to become a one-party rule totalitarian state, and I can’t make it any more plain than that.

27:12 I will tell you right now, it’s some trying times ahead. We have to make sure we keep our wits about us. We have to vote in November. It is our duty to vote, and it is our duty to vote for what is best for America and American people. It’s called populism. It’s not called liberalism. It’s not called communism. It’s called taking care of the average American citizen, rich, middle-class, poor, and that’s populism which is what Donald Trump is bringing to the table. That is what this nation needs, and I hope enough people are seeing through the mainstream media lies that are going on over and over again week after week. Kamala Harris is not leading in the polls. She is not popular. The Democrats know she’s an idiot. Anybody with a brain knows that she can’t even think her way out of a wet paper bag. Walz is a Chinese communist spy. Let’s face it, you don’t go get on their payroll back 25, 30 years ago and take all these free trips to China and teach classes in China on the Chinese dime and not be on the communist Chinese payroll, and they really have to be happy with this guy Walz who’s only worth a total of $300,000. Everything he’s got for all these years, he’s 60 years old, and he’s only worth $300,000. What’s that tell me? The Chinese have a very cheap spy. I mean, they had to pay Hunter Biden hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars to make sure Biden was on their side, that they had to buy him and the big guy, Joe Biden, for a lot of money. Now they have a stooge who is a believer. Hunter Biden and Joe Biden weren’t believers, they were just crooks.

They got a believer now who’s doing their Biden bidding for free because he believes in the communist Chinese party and that’s the news of the week.

I hope people look into the Sabbath day and start to honor it…so we will have a Sabbath day show. We also instituted a Sunday show and that’s usually a pretty long video or something like that for those junkies that want to hear something on Sunday.
