Hello, Bob Barney, Plain Truth Today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com, and we’re going to get into a Your Health Today type topic, and it’s a biblical topic on top of that, and it’s about what you should and should not eat. And actually, it is actually commanded by God back in Leviticus and in chapters 11 and 14. We’re going to play chapter 11 here, and then I’m going to discuss all of the consequences of eating what you’re not supposed to eat.

And then also, I’m going to discuss in a little bit in depth about the people who try to claim the law of clean and unclean has been abolished by Jesus Christ’s death on the cross. It’s this lawlessness that we keep talking about in the Plain Truth Today, in theplaintruth.com magazine, that people just want to follow their own will, and then they put God’s name on it, and they try to say that God abolished something, or Jesus abolished the clean and unclean diet. But I’m going to first play Leviticus 11, and just listen to what God commanded that you should and you should not eat.

Chapter 11. Then the Lord said to Moses and Aaron, Give the following instructions to the Israelites. The animals you may use for food include those that have completely divided hooves and chew the cud.

You may not, however, eat the animals named here, because they either have split hooves or chew the cud, but not both. The camel may not be eaten, for though it chews the cud, it does not have split hooves. The same is true of the rock badger and the hare, so they also may never be eaten.

And the pig may not be eaten, for though it has split hooves, it does not chew the cud. You may not eat the meat of these animals or touch their dead bodies. They are ceremonially unclean for you.

As for marine animals, you may eat whatever has both fins and scales, whether taken from freshwater or saltwater. You may not, however, eat marine animals that do not have both fins and scales. You are to detest them, and they will always be forbidden to you.

Just to give you an update what that means when it comes to fish, many fish that people consume today, shark, catfish, for example, fish that have fins but they do not have scales. They are skinned fish. Shark is an example.

Catfish, like I just said, is an example. Swordfish. There are many skinned fish that have a skin and not a scale, and they are forbidden, along with shrimp, lobster, clams.

They have no fins or scales. They are forbidden to eat, and that is part of the law. We’ll go on here and see the other animals you can and cannot eat.

You must never eat their meat or even touch their dead bodies. I repeat, any marine animal that does not have both fins and scales is strictly forbidden to you. These are the birds you must never eat because they are detestable for you.

The eagle, the vulture, the osprey, the buzzard, kites of all kinds, ravens of all kinds, the ostrich, the nighthawk, the seagull, hawks of all kinds, the little owl, the cormorant, the great owl, the white owl, the pelican, the carrion vulture, the stork, herons of all kinds, the hoopoe, and the bat. You are to consider detestable all swarming insects that walk along the ground. However, there are some exceptions that you may eat.

These include insects that jump with their hind legs, locusts of all varieties, crickets, bald locusts, and grasshoppers. All these may be eaten. But you are to consider detestable all other swarming insects that walk or crawl.

The following creatures make you ceremonially unclean. If you touch any of their dead bodies, you will be defiled until evening. If you move the dead body of an unclean animal, you must immediately wash your clothes, and you will remain defiled until evening.

Any animal that has divided but unsplit hooves, or that does not chew the cud, is unclean for you. If you touch the dead body of such an animal, you will be defiled until evening. Of the animals that walk on all fours, those that have paws are unclean for you.

If you touch the dead body of such an animal, you will be defiled until evening. If you pick up andmove its carcass, you must immediately wash your clothes, and you will remain defiled until evening. Of the small animals that scurry or creep on the ground, these are unclean for you.

The mole, the mouse, the great lizard of all varieties, the gecko, the monitor lizard, the common lizard, the sand lizard, and the chameleon. All these small animals are unclean for you. If you touch the dead body of such an animal, you will be defiled until evening.

If such an animal dies and falls on something, that object, whatever its use, will be unclean. This is true whether the object is made of wood, cloth, leather, or sackcloth. It must be put into water, and it will remain defiled until evening.

After that, it will be ceremonially clean and may be used again. If such an animal dies and falls into a clay pot, everything in the pot will be defiled, and the pot must be smashed. If the water used to cleanse an unclean object touches any food, all of that food will be defiled, and any beverage that is in such an unclean container will be defiled.” So, this is, a lot of people like to listen to this, or read this, and they kind of say this is just for temple worship.

It has nothing to do with the biblical diet you should have after Jesus Christ rose from the dead, because we all know that in certain places in the New Testament, or so they say, God allowed these animals to be eaten. Well, that’s just the plain truth is it’s not true, and we’re going to go through in this episode here, and I wanted to play some things for you, but one of the things is did, in Mark 7, for example, did Jesus purify unclean meats? As many Bibles translate it so, which is wrong, or as people teach it. So, in the version that I’m going to read, the New Living Testament, which is not a word-for-word translation, but it’s a thought-for-thought, and there are many errors, but I’m going to read it this way, because so many people believe this, and it’s the Pharisees questioning Jesus about clean and unclean, about washing your hands, has nothing really to do with what you’re eating, but it says, again, Jesus called the crowd, this is Mark 7, and said to them, listen to me everyone, and understand this, nothing outside of a person can defile them by going into them, rather it is what comes out of that person that defiles them.

After he had left the crowd and entered the house, his disciples asked him about this parable. Are you so dull, he said, don’t you see that nothing that enters a person from the outside can defile them? For it doesn’t go into their hearts, but into their stomach, and then out the body. And in parentheses it says, in saying this, Jesus declared all foods clean, did no such thing, and we’re going to show you in many other instances in the New Testament that he did not make all things clean, because about five or six years after Christ is crucified and he’s back in heaven, reigning as the King of kings and the Lord of lords, sitting on the right hand of the Father, this episode happened to the Apostle Peter.

In Acts 11, Peter has a vision. Peter told the people the whole story. He said, I was in the city ofJoppa praying, and in a trench I saw a vision.

I saw something like a large sheep being let down from the heavens by its four corners, and it came down to where I was. And I looked into it, and I saw four-footed animals of the earth, wild beasts, reptiles, and birds. Then I heard a voice telling me, get up, Peter, kill and eat.

And I replied, surely not, Lord, for nothing impure or unclean has ever touched my mouth. Before we continue, what is Peter saying here? Four or five years after Christ cleansed all things and the disciples learned that you could eat anything you wanted to, according to what people want to believe, Peter is now telling God, I’d never ever, ever touched or allowed any unclean meat to enter my mouth. And then we hear the answer to this.

Then this voice spoke from heaven a second time, do not call anything impure that God has made clean. So again, people say, there is your proof. Everything is clean.

I guess hemlock is clean. You can eat hemlock or a barracuda, for example. Most people who would eat a barracuda would die from poisoning.

So is that clean? Let’s go on and see what it says. This happened to me, Peter goes on, three times, and then it was pulled up again to heaven. Then it says, while Peter was wondering about the meaning of the vision, because he clearly understood that he was not supposed to eat anything unclean like reptiles and vultures and eagles.

And he’s wondering what could this mean? Then the men that was sent by the centurion Cornelius found Simon’s house and stopped by the gate. And while Peter was thinking about the vision, second time it’s saying this, the spirit said to him, Simon, three men are looking for you. Get up and go downstairs and do not hesitate to go with them for I have sent them.

Peter went down and said to the men, I’m the one you’re looking for. And then it goes on the next day, Peter started out with the men and some of the believers from Joppa went along. As Peter entered the house, Cornelius met him and fell at his feet in reverence.

But Peter said, stand up. I am only a man myself. And while talking with him, Peter went inside and found a large gathering of people.

And he said, you are well aware that is against our law for a Jew to associate with a or visit with a Gentile or eat with them. But God has shown me that I should not call anyone impure or unclean. So when I was sent for you, I came without raising any objection.

May I ask why you sent for me? So therefore, you see, Peter understood after pondering what was said, he understood plainly, plainly that it was people are not unclean, even if they’re Gentiles and not Jews, and that you could eat with unclean people. You could even eat with unclean people who are eating lobster and ham dinner, but you’re not to eat it. But it shouldn’t offend you if they do until they become a Christian and understand.

You understand what he’s saying here? That’s why he was pondering about this. Let’s go to the next example that people try to use. When Paul is sent his letter to the saints in Rome, in Romans, it’s often quoted as supportive proof that any kind of flesh food is good to eat.

But is that really what he said? Turn to the beginning of the 14th chapter of Romans and notice what the apostle is writing. Quote, him that is weak in faith receive you or you should receive. Don’t dispute him or set judgment with him.

What Paul is talking about here, so plain, he’s talking about people that are still weak in Christianity. We are not to condemn them what they’re eating or what they’re drinking or anything like that because they are still babes in Christ. He had nothing to do with making clean animals and non-clean animals all edible.

And to get to the very final chapter of Isaiah, which is a millennial chapter, we’re going to find a final causation of clean versus unclean in the millennium. Now, for those who do not understand this, I will explain the millennium after this brief timeout. Hi, Bob Barney for the Plain Truth today, the one place to go to to find out what’s good for your health.

That’s your health today, which you can find from the pages of theplaintruth.com and you can understand what’s good for you to eat, what you shouldn’t eat, what you should do for your health, how to live a good godly life. And your health today is the place on theplaintruth.com you can go to and find all the articles that you need to know for your health and for other things you can do to strengthen your body and make your body fit for God. Remember your body is the temple of Christ.

That’s theplaintruth.com and your health today. Well, we’re back and I wanted to get to a chapter of the Bible, but I want to explain for those out there that may not understand the millennium. In the Bible, there’s a time that we are in now, which is before the tribulation, and the tribulation is a time of worldwide suffering.

And Jesus said in Matthew 24 it would be a time like no other time in the human history, even more so than the times of Noah, and that the world would go to the brink of extinction, probably nuclear war here. He’s saying no flesh would be alive in Matthew 24. If you read all of Matthew 24, you see the the end time prophecy of what will still happen to this world right before Christ returns.

When Christ returns, and you can find this very easily in your Bible, you will see he will establish a kingdom that will never end under his kingship. And that first part of that kingship lasts for a thousand years. A thousand years is called the millennium.

A millennium just means a thousand years. And during those thousand years, Christ is going to set everything right that was wrong before he took control. And we go to Isaiah, and we will see, and Isaiah, by the way, just a side note, is called the Revelation of the Old Testament, because Isaiah basically says almost everything that’s in Revelation before Revelation, and explains a lot of things that Revelation does not explain.

But I want to go to Isaiah chapter 66. I’m going to play the whole chapter. I’ll probably stop some parts in the middle and give some commentary, but listen to this.

This again is in the NLT. It is a thought for thought. It is not a word for word.

If you can really understand the King James Version or the new King James Version, these are the two most accurate translations, do so. I’m not using those because the average person listening to this broadcast probably would not understand the terminology, the wording, and stuff in the King James Version. It sounds great to listen to, but a lot of people just can’t understand the words because it’s using old English words.

And the New Living Translation, which has many flaws, I will admit, but for the most part, you get an idea what they’re talking about. Well, chapter 66 is the last chapter of Isaiah, and he’s talking about the millennium. You’ll see this.

I’ll stop it and point it out to you as we play it, but listen to chapter 66 of Isaiah, the revelation of the Old Testament. This is what the Lord says. Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool.

Could you ever build me a temple as good as that? Could you build a dwelling place for me? My hands have made both heaven and earth, and they are mine. I, the Lord, have spoken. I will bless those who have humble and contrite hearts, who tremble at my word.

But those who choose their own ways, delighting in their sins, are cursed. Their offerings will not be accepted. When such people sacrifice an ox, it is no more acceptable than a human sacrifice.

When they sacrifice a lamb or bring an offering of grain, it is as bad as putting a dog or the blood of a pig on the altar. Or the blood of a Do you know that the first temple, I’m sorry, yes, there was the first temple when Nebuchadnezzar destroyed it. Before so, the abomination of desolation talked about by the prophet Daniel that Jesus talks about in Matthew 24 is when the people that took over the temple from Babylon actually sacrificed pig’s blood in the temple of the Lord, and the Lord allowed that temple to be at that time.

So you understand that God does not really want to see pig’s blood on his temple. But let’s go on because we’re going to show you again, this is the millennium we’re talking about. When they burn incense, it is as if they had blessed an idol.

I will send great troubles against them, all the things they feared. For when I called, they did not answer. When I spoke, they did not listen.

They deliberately sinned before my very eyes and chose to do what they know I despise. Hear this message from the Lord and tremble at his words. Your close relatives hate you and throw you out for being loyal to my name.

Let the Lord be honored, they scoff, be joyful in him, but they will be put to shame. What is all the commotion in the city? What is that terrible noise from the temple? It is the voice of the Lord taking vengeance against his enemies. Before the birth pains even begin, Jerusalem gives birth to a son.

Who has ever seen or heard of anything as strange as this? Has a nation ever been born in a single day? Has a country ever come forth in a mere moment? But by the time Jerusalem’s birth pains begin, the baby will be born. The nation will come forth. Would I ever bring this nation to thepoint of birth and then not deliver it, asks the Lord? No, I would never keep this nation from being born, says your God.

Rejoice with Jerusalem. Be glad with her, all you who love her and mourn for her. Delight in Jerusalem.

Drink deeply of her glory, even as an infant drinks at its mother’s generous breasts. Peace and prosperity will overflow Jerusalem like a river, says the Lord. Peace and prosperity will overflow Jerusalem.

Has that happened in our lifetime or any past lifetime? No, this is a future Jerusalem during the millennium of time of peace and a time that people return to their God and they start obeying their God. You know, you heard in this chapter about the people continue to sin. Do you know there is only one definition of sin in the Bible? There is a place in the Bible where it says sin is.

You find that in the first book of John, New Testament now, the first book of John, and he gives the definition of sin. And we are told as Christians we are not to sin. Are we not? So what does that mean? We’re not to do bad things.

Is the biblical definition from the King James Version of the Bible. We’ll do that first. Whoever commits sin transgresses also the law, for sin is the transgression of the law.

New King James Version. Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.New International Version.

Everyone who sins breaks the law. In fact, sin is lawlessness. New Living Translation.

Everyone who sins is breaking God’s law, for all sin breaks the law of God. You understand that sin has a biblical definition, and it’s lawlessness. It’s not following the Ten Commandments.

It’s that simple. The law has not been abolished, and you can see this. By the way, let’s go before we go into what I was going to finish with the Isaiah Chapter about the law and those who teach that the law is abolished.

1 John Chapter 3, Verse 4. Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, for sin is the transgression of the law. And you know that he was manifested to take away our sins, and in him there is no sin. Whoever abides in him does not sin.

Whoever sins has neither seen him nor known him. Little children, no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as he is righteous.

He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. Lawlessness. The devil is the father of law.

Lawlessness. For the purpose of the Son of God was manifested that he might destroy the works of the devil. Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for his seed remains in him, and he cannot sin.

You got to realize that sin is the transgression of God’s law, including this diet. But let’s go onnow, where we’re in Isaiah, to listen to the rest of this chapter. Wealth of the nations will flow to her.

Her children will be nursed at her breasts, carried in her arms, and treated with love. I will comfort you there, as a child is comforted by its mother. When you see these things, your heart will rejoice.

Vigorous health will be yours. Everyone will see the good hand of the Lord on his people, and his anger against his enemies. See, the Lord is coming with fire, and his swift chariots of destruction roar like a whirlwind.

He will bring punishment with the fury of his anger, By the way, this has not happened. Anybody that knows anything at all about Revelation, you’re hearing Revelation. You’re hearing about the return of Christ, who’s coming back to save mankind, and to establish his millennial kingdom, and he’s coming with wrath.

He’s not coming as a peacenik, like people think Jesus Christ was in the first place, which is not the real Jesus, by the way. A flaming fire of his hot rebuke. The Lord will punish the world by fire, and by his sword, and many will be killed by the Lord.

Those who purify themselves in a sacred garden, feasting on pork and rats, and other forbidden meats, will come to a terrible end. Wow! Did you just hear that? Those people who are trying to sanctify themselves by not being following God’s laws, I should say, being lawlessness, who feast on pork and mice, and God finds that an abomination during the millennium. Think about that.

Let’s listen. Says the Lord, I can see what they are doing, and I know what they are thinking, so I will gather all nations and peoples together, and they will see my glory. I will perform a sign among them, and I will send those who survive to be messengers to the nations, to Tarshish, to the Libyans and Lydians, who are famous as archers, to Tubal in Greece, and to all the lands beyond the sea that have not heard of my fame or seen my glory.

There they will declare my glory to the nations. They will bring the remnant of your people back from every nation. They will bring them to my holy mountain in Jerusalem as an offering to the Lord.

They will ride on horses, in chariots and wagons, and on mules and camels, says the Lord. I will appoint some of those who return to be my priests and Levites. I, the Lord, have spoken.

As surely as my new heavens and earth will remain, so will you always be my people. The new heaven and the new earth. This is even after the millennium.

Go to Revelation chapter 20 and on, and you can read all about the millennium and the world that will come with a new heaven and a new earth, with God living with his creation on this new heaven and new earth, and this is what’s being talked about here in Isaiah. And I’m going to read this last chapter of Isaiah 66 in the New King James Version, which is the most accurate other than the King James Version of the Bible. I want you to see this.

For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before me, saith the Lord, so shall your descendants and your name remain. And it shall come to pass that from one new moon, new month, to another, and from one sabbath to another, all flesh shall come to worship me, says the Lord. Now, just think about that.

We’re talking about God’s calendar here, and we’re talking about the Sabbath day during the millennium and beyond. And by the way, one last thing about the Sabbath day, because that’s part of the law, you know, that’s part of the Ten Commandments that everybody wants these posted all over courthouses and schools, but nobody wants to follow the fourth one for the most part. They want to go to church on Sunday instead of the Sabbath day.

But let’s see what Jesus says in Matthew 24 about the Sabbath day. Jesus says about the great tribulation, therefore when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by the prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place, let the reader be understanding, then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house, and let him who is in the field not go back for his clothing. But woe to those who are pregnant, and that’s probably because of nuclear radiation, and to those who are nursing babies in those days, and pray that your flight may not be in the winter or on the Sabbath.

Hmm, I guess even in the tribulation, God’s people are following the Sabbath day and not Sunday. But this is an idea about clean and unclean foods that we get into on the Plain Truth today and theplaintruth.com, especially Your Health Today. But we have articles on Your Health Today about the diet you should be following, and it’s a clean diet, and the clean diet is good.

Nothing has happened since the creation of man and the creation of all animals in Genesis that changed the nature of the flesh of a pig. We did a program last Passover, and if I can find that, we’ll probably have it again this Passover anyway, and it’s a scientist talking about scientifically why you should not eat pork, why you should not eat a pig, because where the food is digested is the problem. Same with a rabbit.

You know a rabbit has to chew, the rabbit chews their cud. They chew the, let’s say they’re going to eat lettuce. They chew that up, then they poop it out, then they re-eat their poop.

This is the plain truth, folks. They re-eat their poop because they cannot get nutrition from what they eat and forage for. They have to eat their poop.

They do not have four-chambered stomachs like a cow does, or a goat, or a sheep, where it goes into one part of the stomach, and it gets broken down. It goes in another part of the stomach, and it gets broken down even further molecularly. Then it goes in the third and fourth chambers where it’s absorbed into the bloodstream.

Well, that can’t happen with a pig. That can’t happen with a mouse or a rat. What they have to do is eat their poop in order to get the nutrition that went through their stomach, and this is why God knows they’re unclean.

If you follow your health today, you will find stories about what you should eat and what you shouldn’t eat, what medicines you should probably not be taking, the lies that modern science perpetrates on many of its people concerning vaccines, concerning health issues, concerning your diet and what you should and should not eat. There are many people, by the way, people that I like that just believe that you can’t have a good diet without eating animal meat like pork because it’s so full of vitamin B12, or oysters because there’s so much zinc in oysters. Well, God has a disagreement with you on that.

The plain truth is your diet was established right from the get-go in what you can and cannot eat, and your diet should consist of vegetables and fruits mainly, and then animal protein that comes from the clean animals that you find in Leviticus 11. Anything else is harmful for you, but more importantly, it’s spiritually harmful for you because God tells you not to do it, and what God says you should not do, you should not do. Well, that’s the show today for The Plain Truth Today.

On your health today topic, please go to theplaintruth.com every day. Until tomorrow, Bob Barney saying thank you for listening. Bye-bye.
