Friday Wrap-up with Bob Barney: June 20, 2024 (Transcript)

Hi, it’s Friday morning and it’s Friday wrap-up time. 

 This is Bob Barney for The Plain Truth Today and Friday morning we always go through the news of the week and what made the news on The Plain Truth so we can keep our readership (and listeners) up to date.

One of the stories from June 17th on the main page of The Plain Truth is how ISIS has killed dozens of Christians in the Congo region of Africa. They have been closing churches and full-blown persecution is occurring and the Biden administration and the West are doing nothing to protect Christians that are being slaughtered every day around the world. All we are worried about is the politically correct answers of who we should follow and who we should protect, and they always tend to be Muslims or atheists or really everybody except a Christian.

Another story that I think was very fascinating this week that we really should look into again is this ancient military base found. Does this prove the story in the Bible? And you can find this in the main page again, it was written by Joe Kovacs, my brother-in-law, on WorldNet Daily on June 17th again and it’s a Bible story about God sending His angel to kill in a single night 185,000 soldiers that were attacking Jerusalem and may just have gotten some historical corroboration. You know, if you’ve been reading The Plain Truth for long enough you will see that every single thing the Bible has said about history and archaeology ends up proving it to be true after years of archaeology saying it was false.

It happens in every single story, and this is just another one to add to the ongoing list. The account in the Bible is found in three locations, 2 Kings 19:5, 2 Chronicles 32:21 and in the prophet Isaiah 37: 36 -38. It describes how King Sennacherib…that’s a that’s a tongue twister but I got it out, of Assyria suffered a divine defeat as angels were directed by God to slay the enemy troops. That night, according to the Bible, the angel of the Lord went out and struck down 185,000 in the camp of the Assyrians. When the people got up the next morning all were dead and they found nothing but dead bodies, 2 Kings 19:35, and the Lord sent an angel who annihilated every valiant warrior, leader and commander in the group or the camp of the king. So the king of Assyria returned in disgrace to his own land, and he went to the temple of his God there and some of his own children struck him down with the sword and killed him. So again, we find guess what, the Bible is accurate again.

Many, many times we keep thinking that the Bible is not accurate, but it is accurate, and we just found it again!

On June 18th we had a story about how public schools have become a boot camp for communism and that’s a very good read because it’s explaining why we’re in the trouble in America and in the West today. I think it’s very important to understand what’s going on and just how we have to change direction if we are going to survive. 

 Also, on June 18th on The Plain Truth Today we had the Tucker Carlson interview with Steve Bannon which was an excellent interview if you have not listened to it. It really tells you what’s going on in the court system in the corrupt judicial system that we have going on right now.

 June 19th, we had a story and the title of it on the photo is My People Are Destroyed For Lack of Knowledge and it’s trying to rewrite history with a holiday called Juneteenth which is just a bogus rewriting of history the things that communists do and it’s a pretty good story we have on the main page of The Plain Truth.

What I want to get into also is on June 19th a baseball legend passed away and that was Willie Mays at 93 years old. He was one of the great hitters of all time! I think he was sixth in home runs and just was a great player. I have here an interview with Pete Rose about Willie Mays conducted by Greta Van Susteren on her show and it’s a pretty good tribute to the man so let me play that right now…well first of all he was strong certainly he understood the game I don’t know of a player I’ve ever played with or against that was a better base runner than Willie Mays you know we all knew he had power he had 660 home runs but Willie would always take the base and Willie was always thinking about the game thinking about winning the game I think that’s the thing I admired most about him he was a winner yes he was he was a winner how he’s treated the young players including myself was he different in the in the clubhouses he was on the field and out in the park or not well yeah he was in the clubhouse as opposed to the field because on the field he was inside the field the closest people to him were the people in the audience but no he was always in a good mood always smiling always seemed to be having fun which is if you’re Willie Mays you probably were having fun so those are the kind of things that rub off on you you know how you how you behave around your teammates in the clubhouse how you behave around your teammates in the dugout during the game and Willie was uh flamboyant he had a great bubbling personality and he was the same all the time I never seen Willie in a bad mood I never seen him in a bad mood

That was a pretty good tribute to Willie Mays who passed away at 93 years old I had the honor back in 1973 I believe it was to see him when we used to go to the Met games in Shea Stadium and even as an older man, he was a pretty good pretty good player.

The last thing I wanted to get onto today and I’m not sure it’s the last thing but the thing I really wanted to get on today I finally found somebody who agrees with me over this Boeing thing. If you’ve been listening to this program, you know that I believe that Boeing is being unfairly targeted by the press by politicians by many people in general especially the press though and I think there is a follow the money thing because I believe Boeing which is the last American aircraft company that we have and is being targeted by our enemies; including our future enemy Europe. Europe owns Airbus and you know Airbus has many more problems than does Boeing ever has and Boeing is still a safe aircraft and the aircraft that we’re talking about the 737 max has some software issues there is nothing wrong with the airplane.

What was wrong with the two crashes and I’m going to play a pretty long commentary by Greg Kelly of Newsmax who was right on the spot shows you what really is the story of the 737 max crashes. They were pilot error and they were not Boeing error and all these politicians even these Republicans which you’ll hear them sitting there and tongue-lashing this CEO of Boeing who takes it because that’s what you do today you don’t stand up…you will see in this commentary that these people if you follow the money I guarantee they are getting paid by people who have interest in promoting Airbus or other aircraft manufacturers around the world. They want to destroy the last American great aircraft company which still produces the safest aircrafts in the world and I have a problem with whistleblowers I always did and so let me queue this thing up and see if we can get this going as you will see Greg Kelly agreeing with me.

Greg Kelly…seems to be in a rough patch but I think the boss here Calhoun is his name the CEO is doing a little bit too much self-flagellation and he’s holding something back there’s a politically incorrect excuse for some of Boeing’s problems but he’s not ready to go there for whatever reason they won’t I kind of understand why first the 737 max you may have heard of this plane has some software issues reportedly and they had two big crashes one was in Indonesia and it was terrible right 737 max goes down just 13 minutes into the flight all 189 people on board were killed and also in Ethiopia another horrendous crash this is back in 2019 not too far after the first crash again the 737 max that’s terrible but the plane was perfectly fine it was a pilot situation but they don’t want to say that they can’t say it or you say it but you got to say it in a certain way so today the boss goes up there Capitol Hill and just has to fall on his own sword Senator Blumenthal we are responsible we are responsible the Department of Justice and and the Boeing team and all the investigations and all the judgments that were ultimately taken I’m not here to second-guess them more than happy to get back to you on that I apologize I would like to speak directly to those who lost loved ones on Lion Air flight 610 Ethiopian Airlines flight 302 I would like to apologize…

Bob…so I’ll pause this for a second…what you know what you’re hearing now is the CEO turns around to the people who are representatives of the family of those two airline crashes…apologizing for their deaths apologizing from Boeing for aircraft problems that Boeing has taken responsibility for even though you heard it from Greg Kelly and from me in the past… Boeing aircraft was not at fault in these two crashes it was pilot error and we’re going to get back in a minute here I’m going to play the rest of what’s going on from the show and we’re going to get back to Greg Kelly explaining fully about this pilot error…nobody wants to talk about it and you can guess why and if you can’t at the end of this I’ll make it as plain as possible it’s hard to hear him but he’s turned around away from the microphone

Greg Kelly… all right that seems like it’s the right thing to do a lot of communication specialists a lot of lobbyists in Washington will say you got to do this you got to apologize you got to say you’ll never do it again you got to say you’re fully transparent you got to say whistleblowers are the best thing that ever happened that’ll get you through the hearing I don’t know if it gets you through life I don’t know if it’s what a company like Boeing should be doing the 737 max you’ve heard a lot about it is a great airplane it actually is and American airlines have done very very well with it like Southwest they know how to fly that plane their pilots are the best of the best they always leave this part out well the two crashes took place on Ethiopia Airlines and Lion Airlines out of Indonesia Lion Airlines in particular was chronically mismanaged the pilots did not have the appropriate training and the pilots were at fault sorry and but they don’t like saying that and I guess a lot of the politicians even some I like didn’t want to bring that up so they just let the boss have it who quite frankly was there to get it the details have been provided to you are you able to make sense of this no sir complete gobbledygook yes sir this is what Boeing has provided to this committee can you justify people you’re proud of this safety record I am proud of every action we have taken every action yes sir wow well behind you the folks are are showing pictures of the people who are the victims of your safety record if you don’t know that voice that’s Josh Hawley who is I’m not a Josh Hawley fan Greg Kelly tries to give him some cover but most of these Republicans have never really done anything for me.

I have told you that I do support Donald Trump but all these Republicans are the problem with Congress not the Democrats we know the Democrats are evil communists and we could stop the Democrats if the Republicans would ever grow something and stand up for the cause for once in a while…and in a side point before we continue with this story here a good side point is just this thing why doesn’t Jim Jordan have the judge in the Trump trial subpoenaed to go to Congress and explain put him on there and ask him questions and explain his actions? One of the questions I would ask the judge is if you have you in any way received any compensation from anyone in a Democratic party. Now either he’s got to say no and maybe be lying because I think he would be lying because I think he directly got something from not just his daughter not just his wife but I think there was something direct for him as well but going on from there he’s either going to say no and maybe get caught later in the lie or he’s going to have to take the Fifth Amendment say he refuses to answer on the grounds that could have to incriminate himself and wouldn’t that be a news event! But no the Republicans don’t call him out in front of Congress and make him testify like Rand Paul did with Dr. Fauci. You know over a year and a half ago he was in fighting arguments in the Senate chambers with Dr. Fauci? Forcing Dr. Fauci to make many false statements which he ended up lying to Congress which is a felony…and eventually I think maybe under the Trump administration you may actually see Fauci get in trouble and be prosecuted,,,

So, we’re going to continue playing this now about the Boeing interview and I just wanted to point out this corruption in Washington… I think there’s as much if not more on the Republican side as there is on the Democratic side! But let’s continue with this grilling of the Boeing president and the nonsense that American people have with their paid politicians or paid off politicians…

I am proud of every action we have taken every action yes sir wow well behind you the folks are are showing pictures of the people who are the victims of your safety record I think we can all see them and I think the American public when they fear to get on their airplanes they understand your safety record and frankly sir I think it’s a travesty that you’re still on your job all right I like Josh Hawley but I think he’s overdoing it uh I’ve flown on Boeing aircraft you’ve flown on Boeing aircraft it is the safest way to fly absolutely and it’s getting exponentially safer and it’s getting exponentially safer actually but whistleblowers were involved right the whistleblowers and whistleblowers are are never ever wrong in our society have you noticed that right a whistleblower it’s sacred I mean they never have an ax to grind or maybe a boss to get even with or maybe some other grievance who knows maybe they’re like Vindman remember Alexander Vindman he was a whistleblower that little snake right he had all kinds of uh you know weird agendas he was working out all right now there was a matter that Boeing had with the door this this was definitely not good Alaska Airlines door panel broke off mid-flight that terrifying Alaska Airlines incident on Friday evening when a chunk of the plane blew off mid-flight leaving a refrigerator-sized hole in the side of the plane 63 pound door plug that flew off an Alaska Airlines plane at 16,000 feet the rupture sucking out headrest seat cushions even passenger cell phones all right that was definitely uh kind of terrible but uh these things have happened before they happen a lot less frequently growing up we had plane crashes all the time and you know the door coming off I remember when the roof came off of a plane a 737 no less Air Hawaii anybody remember this the whole roof came off how about when this it was a Boeing side of a 747 just flew off in the middle of the sky and they had to land there were crashes much more frequently right we saw them we grew up with them they used to have little uh insurance kiosks at the airport right because you know there was like a you know there was a chance small but a chance you weren’t going to come back home alive so I don’t know I know that the right thing to do when you’re on Capitol Hill is to well not the right thing the preferred thing right if you want government contracts if you want to I don’t know sometimes I wish somebody would just get up and tell the unvarnished truth even if it…

Bob…Yes tell the unvarnished truth and it’s what I’ve been saying about Boeing and I wanted to play this whole tape from Greg Kelly’s show on Newsmax because the truth of the matter is these politicians sitting there uh tongue-lashing the Boeing chairman of the board uh I guarantee if you look them if you look into their uh donations and stuff they’re getting money from Europe they’re getting money from people who are behind Airbus…Airbus has many more safety violations and problems than Boeing has ever had and that’s the plain truth and I just wanted to show that it’s not just about Bernie that’s talking about there’s nothing wrong with Boeing there’s maybe some DEI problems and there may be big problems but whistleblowers are always suspect to me they always seem to be disgruntled employees and stuff like that and I don’t take any of that serious as the press wants to do but I smell a rat when it comes to this Boeing story. I am going to eventually be proved right time will tell but I think you’ll find that there are sinister forces trying to destroy Boeing, which is again, the last American aircraft manufacturer in America.

Think about that for a minute…who would want to destroy Boeing? Maybe it’s Europe our future enemy…maybe it’s China… maybe it’s Russia…but we have a problem, and we have to face it that Boeing is not the problem. This is just something else that our corrupt politicians are a part of. This is the problem Kelly goes on to talk about…

It’s the great European uh aircraft manufacturer they don’t put their the parliament over there they don’t put their executives through this kind of stuff trying to publicly humiliate them even though they’ve got their fair share of problems I don’t think it works you know what I would like to see out of Boeing in addition to less apologizing and more leadership maybe more innovation right can I show you the the new plane from Boeing is the 747-8 and I would love to I haven’t flown in it looks like a great plane but 55 years ago…Bob…this was their newest latest and greatest plane doesn’t look and what he’s showing just this was on TV and you can’t see it but 55 years ago the newest and latest greatest plane was the Boeing 747 and what he’s trying to say is in 55 years we’re still on the same airplane design… that there’s no new innovation…I will explain like they’ve done all that much right how about 55 years before that that was cutting-edge technology and what and what he showed there is 55 years before the 747 was released in 1969…55 years before that guess what it was the Wright brothers so in 55 years we went from the Wright brothers plane that flew 120 feet to the Boeing 747 in 55 years in the last 55 years we’re still with the same airplane and redesigning it and making it a little bit bigger. That’s what he was talking about…that American ingenuity it’s just being wasted and we’re just not thinking out of the box. The same can be said about Apple computers…Macintosh you know, the same thing can be said about Windows…there is no new technology really coming out right now it’s just old things rehashed over and over again. The truth is the talented people of this world are not getting the jobs because we have to give them to EOE and DEI type employees…and that is the truth.

That interview I thought was kind of important to show you that somebody other than me is saying the same thing in that there’s something fishy going on with this reporting against Boeing. That maybe what we are seeing here is a little bit of craft and corruption by foreigners for foreign airline manufacturers to put America’s foremost airline manufacturer out of business. That doesn’t help you or me or this country or anything else and so we sometimes have to look at who we’re tearing down in order to see what really is behind what is going on.

Greg Kelly by the way it was a fighter pilot and his father was the police chief of New York City if you didn’t know that. I believe during 9-11. Greg Kelly is a pilot he’s a pilot in the I think he was in the Air Force and Navy but he flew fighter jets so he knows what he’s talking about when it comes to airplanes. He also is absolutely dead on when it comes to Boeing.

Back to the show…I wanted to finish off the last seven minutes with an idea that I think is being toyed wit and I think this should be taken seriously…I think this could really affect the election and that is that I believe right now they are trying not to replace Joe Biden on the ticket but they’re trying to replace Kamala Harris. This way everyone will wink and know that Joe Biden will step down once the election is over if he wins, and his vice president will become president. I have a strange notion because we know how the Democrats try to bend the law and try to make things fit. They would complain like the heck if the Republicans tried doing it…whatever they blame on you or the Republicans they intend to do themselves always remember that. So, this is what I think and hold your hat because you may think this is preposterous…but if you do a little bit of web search on the subject matter, you’re going to find out that I may be right, and it will really upset the apple cart and it will upset American history and American precedents.

The person that I think that they are trying to put in as vice president is Barack Obama. They have to find out from their legal experts if they can get this pushed through in time at the convention and also see if the Supreme Court would mayb3e block it…but I think they’re going to try to put Barack Obama on as the vice president. When you do enough web searches on the subject especially on the amendment which limits the president from running more than two times or winning more than two times you will read a lot of commentary (mainly what I think is spin from democratic legal advisors) that the 22nd amendment to the constitution does not prohibit a former president to run for various seats. I am talking the House of Representatives and also if they can became Speaker of the House that they would be third in the line to the presidency…and if something happened to the president and vice president in some kind of tragedy, then the Speaker of the House could be a former president having served two terms could become president again.

There’s a catch though…because the 22nd amendment does not specifically prohibit a former president that held two terms to run for vice president…now I know there’s a clause at the end of that amendment which kind of suggests that he could not run for the vice presidency but you’re seeing so many legal scholars right now saying he could. Even though I believe it’s unconstitutional against the amendment to the constitution but remember, the democrats as we have seen in the last two years if you have seen anything is they can make any rule bend to fit whatever they want. If they have a willing court especially. I even think possibly a willing a Supreme Court could be on their side to go along with it and if that’s the case I think what they would do is they would nominate Barack Obama to be vice president. Then Joe Biden, after the election, and I think Barack Obama would pull back all of the black support that Donald Trump has gained and as you know Barack pulled back the majority of the Hispanic vote that Trump has gained and he would pull back a lot of the middle class ethnic vote of all types like he did in the other two elections …stay with me here…even though I think they might have been stolen elections of course, but if you can get it in the margin of error, then the democrats will use that to their advantage.

They will steal the election.

I think what they would plan on doing is after the election if they won…before they took office…I think you would see Joe Biden step down and hand the presidency off to Kamala Harris. This way the democrats could boast and say they have made sure that the first black woman or the first woman for that matter who became president is a democrat. Then she would rule for two to three months before January…and holy heck… the executive orders she would put out in three months’ time…especially if when Barack Obama who is elected takes the oath of office in January to replace Kamala Harris, he would go along with all her executive orders because he’s going to be the one that writes them in the first place! So, if you see in this democratic convention that Barack Obama gets the nomination, do not think that that’s preposterous of an idea because I think it could happen.

I also think that and I read this and I’m stealing this though…I read this I believe on Breitbart one of the news sites I go to each day that they think that CNN is purposely going to try to trap Biden in this debate to make him look like a fool. I know a lot of conservatives out there and MAGA republicans are not going to agree that the lamestream media is going to do that but if they know they have Barack Obama in the wings to become vice president and they know that’s going to happen then they’re going to want to make Biden so weak that the democrats will be forced to put Barack Obama on the ticket…as the vice president… and therefore become the president in January for four more years. He will have many executive orders that Kamala Harris will have put through that he will just continue to reinforce them and America as you know it will come to an end.
