The Book of Daniel and the Future of Europe Explained (Transcript)

In a follow-up to yesterday’s commentary by Bob Barney, today Bob delves further into the Bible and what the Bible predicts about Europe, The Roman Empire and the Pope!

Yesterday, we were talking about Europe in regard to the elections that just happened for the EU and 27 nations and what that means for the future according to the Bible. I did go through it pretty quickly so I thought today I should back up a little bit, slow down, and just go over the Bible and explain where I was coming from. Specifically, about me predicting what Europe will be in the future, according to the Bible.

I will go through the book of Daniel first and you will see that only four world dictatorships/kingships, will have ever existed until Christ returns. If you read along with your Bible that would be recommended.

Hi, this is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today and we’re continuing with yesterday’s discussion about Europe being the future beast of the Bible, the place where the Antichrist comes from who will be aligned with a false prophet, a pope, and they will make war with the king of the south and with other peoples as well. This figure the world will be intrigued by the Bible says. I believe there’s good evidence that the Jewish people, especially in the land of Israel, will think that he is the Messiah and that will be a fulfillment of prophesy as well.

You see, in the Old Testament the only God that ever speaks is the one that became Jesus Christ. God the Father has never spoken to anyone on earth. Jesus says so in the New Testament that no one has ever seen the form of the Father nor has anyone heard His voice at any time.

So whose voice was speaking to Moses or Abraham or Adam and Eve?

It was none other than the God who would later become Jesus Christ!

And so whenever He speaks in the Old Testament as the Lord of the Old Testament, the Yahweh of the Old Testament, it’s none other than Jesus Christ. So I made every Old Testament word of God in red. This is the only Bible you will ever find so far that put the words of Christ in red in both the New and the Old Testament. Remember, it is not the Father in the Old Testament because the Father God is NOT the God of the Old Testament. I’m reading from The Plain Truth’s Holy Bible in the original order, God’s words in red, and I’m on volume four.

This is actually a very big study Bible. You can get it on Kindle for quite cheap but this is five volumes if you get the paperback. The volumes are quite thick. There are five volumes about 550 pages each and it is in large print so anybody can read it with a lot of commentary and a lot of notes to make things more easily understood.  But we’ll go to Daniel chapter two now.

In the second year of King Nebuchadnezzar, he had a dream. It worried him so much that he couldn’t sleep. So he sent for his fortune tellers, magicians, sorcerers, wizards, all the pagans to dream about and to explain the dream to him. And they came and they stood before the king. He said, I’m worried about the dream that I had and I want to know what it means. So the astrologers answered him in Aramaic, may your majesty live forever. Tell us your dream and we’ll explain it. You know, that’s an old age thing. They don’t know what the dream is because they’re a bunch of frauds and charlatans masquerading as people of God. And so they want him to tell them what the dream is so they can give them a made-up answer to make them happy. The king answered and said to them, my decision is firm. If you don’t tell me what my dream was and what it means, you will be torn limb from limb and your houses will be demolished into heaps of rubble. But if you can tell me both the dream and then its meaning, I will reward you with gifts and great honor. Now tell me what the dream is and what it means. And they said, if your majesty will only tell us the dream, we will explain it to you. At that, the king explained, just as I thought you’re trying to gain time because I’ve already made up my mind to kill you. And he goes on. And so finally, Daniel comes and says he can’t tell him what the dream is, but there’s a God in heaven that knows what the dream is and that God gave Daniel the explanation for it.

So this is what he says about the dream to the king, Nebuchadnezzar. Your majesty, in your vision, you saw standing before you a giant statue, bright, shiny, and terrifying to look at. Its head was made of the finest gold, its chest and arms were made of fine silver, its waist and hips were made of bronze, and its legs were made of iron. Now gold is the softest of those metals, silver is the next softest, bronze is the next softest, and iron is the strongest. Just remember that. Now its legs had ten toes that were partly of iron and partly of clay. While you were looking at it, a great stone broke loose from a cliff without anyone touching it, struck the iron and clay feet and the statue and it shattered to pieces. So some stone gets cut out of a mountain, which is a symbol for Christ, by the way, we’ll get into that, and it’s going to hit the statue on its weak toes because the toes are only partly iron but also mixed with clay, which is very inferior and very brittle and very soft. At once the iron, clay, bronze, silver, and gold crumbled and became like dust on a threshing floor in the summertime. The wind carried all the dust away, leaving not a trace. But the stone grew to be a mountain that covered the whole earth. We’ll see what that means. This was a dream. Now I will tell your majesty what it means. Your majesty, you are the greatest king of all time. The king of heaven has made you emperor and given you power and mighty honor. He has made you ruler over all the inhabited earth and ruler over all the animals and birds in your kingdom. You are the head of gold. After you there will be another empire and it will not be as great as yours and it will be made of silver. Then there will be a third empire, stronger but less valuable, made of bronze. And that one will also rule the whole earth.

If you get my Bible, you will have a very long commentary about what all of this means, by the way. It’s a very good commentary Bible, if I do say so myself.

Verse 40, following that kingdom there will be a fourth great kingdom as strong as iron. So this is going to be a very strong kingdom. For iron breaks and smashes everything, so the kingdom will smash and crush all previous empires, just as iron smashes and crushes everything it strikes. It’ll crush stone, I mean it’ll crush gold, silver, or bronze. You also saw that the feet were partly of clay and partly of iron. This means that it will be divided, it will be a divided empire of different peoples. It will have something, some of it will be strong, strong as iron, but others will be weak as clay is weak. The toes, which are partly iron and partly clay, mean that a part of the empire will be strong while the other part will be weak. I wrote here in one of the commentaries: Isaac Newton, who understands the Roman Empire to be part of the ten kingdoms already coming in the future, explains that the clay mixture as a blending of barbarous nations with Rome by intermarriage and alliances in which there was no stable stability with the inbreeding of the Huns, so to speak, the Mongolians, the Huns. Though the ten kingdoms will remain much of Rome’s strength, the mingling of the seed of men seems to refer to Genesis 6-2 where the marriages of the seed of godly Seth and the daughters of the ungodly Cain are described in similar words.

So Isaac Newton understood this. He also understood that Charlemagne and Napoleon, well he didn’t know about Napoleon, but Charlemagne was one of these revivals of the Roman Empire. Verse 43, we’ll go on, and you just saw that the iron mix would bake clay so people will be a mixture and will not remain united. Europe has never stayed united. Europe is going to gather together under a dictator called the Antichrist, but Europe cannot stay united. There are too many different peoples, the Spaniards, the French, the Italians, the Germans, the Austrians, the Prussians, the Czechs, the Slavs, the Poles, they just do not get along and basically none of them get along with Germany. So it goes on to say, and as you saw, iron mixed with clay so the people will be mixed and will be weak. During the days of these kings, God, and that is Elohim, meaning the plural form of God, meaning God the Father, God Christ, will establish a kingdom that will never end. It will never be conquered but will completely destroy all the empires and will last forever.This is an important statement here, Daniel 2, verse 43. Go to any Bible you have and read that for yourself and read the commentaries if you’ve got a good commentary Bible. It’s going to tell you it’s the Roman Empire.

It just said here, and I’ll read it again, during the days of these kings, God is going to establish his kingdom on earth that will never be defeated and will last for all time. What does that mean? How could it be the ancient Roman Empire if we know that this is the case? Now go on down, we’re going to see in verse 47 of the same chapter, the king said to Daniel, truly your God is great and the Lord of lords and the king of kings, and he goes on to give him. Now it also says in verse 45, this is the meaning of the rock cut from the mountain by supernatural means. The great God has shown your majesty what will happen in the future. The dream is true. Its meaning is certain. Then King Nebuchadnezzar bowed to Daniel and gave him everything he promised. What that’s saying is that this is going to happen. God has put his reputation on the line.

God is saying this is definitely going to happen, that the kingdom, a Holy Roman Empire of Europe, will be the last kingdom that will fight Christ. Christ is that rock cut out of a mountain and becomes a mountain again that fills the whole earth, and Christ is coming to defeat the Antichrist, Europe, and the people that are aligned with him. Again, we go to Daniel chapter 7. Daniel had a vision in the first year of Belshazzar’s king of Babylon.

In my vision, I, Daniel, saw four winds of heaven stirring up the great Mediterranean Sea. Four large animals, each one different from the others, came out of the sea. The first was like a lion with eagle’s wings. The second was a beast that looked like a bear. It was rearing up on one side and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth, and I heard a voice saying, get up and eat all the meat you want. And after this, I saw another animal, a third, it looked like a leopard, and on its back had four pairs of wings like a bird. The animal also had four heads, four revivals. And after this, I saw a fourth animal in my vision during the night, and it was terrifying, dreadful, exceedingly strong, and had large iron teeth. And it crushed its victims and trampled whatever was left. And it was different than all the other beasts that came before it, and it had ten horns. This is the same beast of Revelation with ten horns and seven heads, and it represents the end-time kingdom. It says so right here, this is the kingdom that will happen when Christ returns. It will be the kingdom that is the most powerful kingdom on earth. And when does this happen and what kingdom are these for? Well, here is the answer to the question here. The first beast was, again, Babylon. And the second beast was the Persians and the Medes. And the third beast is Alexander the Great. And the four heads represent four kings that come from Alexander’s empire, and the kingdom broke into four parts.

Alexander died when he was 33 years old, probably the same age as Christ was when He died. Alexander is an anti-Christ type. But after he died, his kingdom was split into four kingdoms, the Ptolemies to Egypt, the Seleucids, I think that’s how you pronounce it, took over Syria, that’s the king of the north, king of the south. So four of Alexander’s generals broke up the kingdom in four pieces. That is the four heads that you see, that’s the four heads that you see showing you there were four kings come out of Alexander. Now, the fourth beast is Rome. Every Bible commentary you will ever see says that this fourth beast is the same as the fourth part of the statue in the second chapter of Daniel, talking about Nebuchadnezzar’s dream, and its still ancient Rome.

But what most people have never really understood is that Rome would have revivals for over 1,500-1,800 years, and out of the ancient empire of Rome would come the Holy Roman Empire. This is the same empire, Rome, with a Caesar type, that will be the powerful kingdom of this earth when Christ returns. It’s that simple. That is what this Bible is telling you. That is what your Bible is telling you. That is your future.

Do you want to know who the end-time enemy is? It is not Russia, it is not China, and it is not the United States of America when it comes to that. It will be an Antichrist ruling from Rome and Europe.

Now, in Daniel 8, there’s a vision of the ram and goat. This is an exact prediction of Alexander the Great to come in some 200 or 300 more years. This was this part of Daniel, Daniel 8. Of course, they didn’t have subchapters, they were just scrolls of Daniel. But this part of the scroll was actually read by the high priest to Alexander the Great when he came to destroy the temple when he took over Palestine.

And Alexander had a habit of destroying every temple of everybody he conquered. But when he came to Jerusalem intending to destroy their temple, he saw this chapter, this verse about himself written long before he was even born. And he was so in awe of the God of these people that he left the temple alone. He left it alone because he knew this God had predicted him some 200 or 300 years before he even lived. It says, in the third year, I, Daniel, saw a vision which came up after the first one. In my vision, I was at the fortress of Susa, besides the Ulai River, and I looked up and I saw a ram standing beside the gate. And the ram had two horns, one was longer than the other, although the longer one grew up later. And I saw the ram charge in west, north, east, and south. The ram is Persia, the great Persian empire. No other animal could stand in front of it. No one could escape from its power. It did everything it pleased to do. While I was watching this closely, I saw a male goat. Goat is always a symbol for Greece, by the way, if you don’t know that, and that’s still their main meat in their diet. I saw a male goat coming from the west. And remember, Greece is west of Palestine. He crossed the whole earth without touching it. Alexander invented the blitzkrieg that the Nazis would use in World War II, lightning war. He moved so fast, his enemies couldn’t keep up with him. And the goat was charging towards the two-horned ram that I had seen standing beside the river. The goat ran at him with furious power, and I saw him come closer to the ram. The goat charged furiously at the ram and struck him, breaking off both of the horns. Now the ram was helpless, and the goat knocked him down and trampled him. There was no one who could rescue the ram from the goat’s power. Therefore, the male goat became very powerful. But at the height of his power, when, again, Alexander was 33 years old, his large horn broke off and four smaller horns replaced him. He died.

Some people say he was killed by intrigue, poison, whatever but he died a very young man at 33 and his kingdom broke off into four new kingdoms, four new kings. You know, when Alexander read about himself, one can only wonder, when he got to this part realizing he was going to die and his four generals were going to replace him, he obviously knew it, because that’s what it said.

And then when you get to Daniel chapter 11, Daniel is a pivotal book of the Bible to understand and try to read. A lot of it is hard to understand, I will agree. But if you really do get this Bible, and you can get the Kindle version for $9.95, you can really study the notes that I have here that I am reading, and you can compare those notes with other commentaries. You will see in Daniel 11, the end time battles between the King of the North and the King of the South, which started when Alexander was broken up into four kingdoms. There was a King of the North and a King of the South, the Roman Empire comes, and eventually, you will see that Rome, the fourth kingdom that was mentioned in Daniel 2, the end time kingdom is Rome, that it overpowers even Alexander the Great’s people. He takes the Antichrist, the Caesar of Europe, takes the title King of the North away from the Syrians, at this time it was the Syrians, and that happened starting with the Crusades.

And it goes back and forth and back and forth, and chapter 12 is called, in my Bible, the end times, in the Plain Truth Bible. At that time, chapter 12, verse 1, Michael, the archangel who stands guard over your people, and that is the Jewish people, it does not imply the Israelite people, you know, the United States, England, Denmark, France, those people that are the Lost Ten Tribes. At that time, Michael, the archangel who stands for your people will arise, and there shall be a time of trouble such as there has never been since there was a nation, even to that time. And at that time, your people, the Jews, will be delivered by God, Jesus. Everyone who is found written in the book, that book is very important, you want to make sure your name is in that book.

Now, Jesus Christ, in Matthew 24, says the same thing, and he actually mentions Daniel, chapter 12, when the disciples come to Jesus and say, when is all of these things going to happen? When is the end of the world coming? When are you returning to be King of Kings? When is man’s reign over with? And Jesus said, let no one deceive you… (false Christianity) …There will be wars and rumors and wars, (that’s the red horse of Revelations), and there will be famine and pestilence, the pale horse, and then there is death. And so he talks about a time like you read, a time of Daniel and a time of trouble, that’s the great tribulation that’s being talked about here in Daniel 12. Those who are wise will shine, this is verse 3, as bright as the sky, and those who turn to righteousness will shine like stars forever.

But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret. He is to seal up this book, for people would not understand it, and you really couldn’t understand this until Jesus came to explain it, and especially Revelation, which specifically says at the end of Revelation, do not seal up this book, because it is meant now for everyone to understand what’s going to happen. But listen to this, chapter 12, verse 3, those are wise will shine as bright as the sky, and those who turn to many righteousness will shine like stars forever. But you, Daniel, keep this prophecy a secret. Seal up the book until the time of the end. Many will rush here and there, and knowledge will be increased.

And what do we think we have today but increased knowledge? Knowledge that has increased because of the computer, because of your iPhone, and the Apple, and the silicone microchip. And today, power is at your fingertip with a little bit of a search engine, and that is the power, the knowledge increasing that is even prophesied some 2,500 years ago by the prophet Daniel, by God giving him these prophecies through the angel Michael. And we should understand, therefore, is that the Bible knows what it’s talking about.

You have to trust the Bible.

The Bible is the most accurate newspaper that has ever, ever existed, because God knows the news, God knows the past news better than you and I do, and God also knows the future news, which we do not know except through the pages of the Bible.

And that’s what I was talking about yesterday quite quickly and why I wanted to take time. If you take time and you read all of the book of Daniel in an easy-to-read Bible, use The Plain Truth Bible, it’s in a very easy to read English…modern English. It is not a King James type English. It’s very modern and very easy to understand. But you can read any Bible of course that you can understand. The Living Bible is a good Bible, the New Living Testament Bible is too, and the New Century Version is a good easy-to-read Bible, and you will see without any doubt that the fourth kingdom, which every single person identifies as the Roman Empire, is the same empire that will be fighting Christ at his return.

In summary, there is only one conclusion, my friends, that is Europe, believe it or not, Europe once again is going to be the enemy of the Christians of this world, the true Christians who follow the Bible, those who follow the true God…those who do not allow themselves to be indoctrinated with pagan religion masquerading as Christianity. Most Christianity that you see today in these churches around the world are not following what’s in the Bible. They are not following what God tells us to do. They are apostate, they are against Jesus, they are antichrist’s religion. And it’s very important to flee from these false teachings and establishments.

You read in Revelation, I believe chapter 18, but you can look for yourself, in Revelation when it talks about Babylon…that Babylon is that great false whore church out of Rome, to flee her, my people. It says flee Babylon, my people. So God’s people, if you are a Catholic if you believe in Jesus Christ as God and you believe that God loves you and will forgive your sins through the blood of Jesus Christ and you will obey God when God comes to you and tells you what to do, when you can prove it to yourself and you respond in obedience…you will follow him and not follow a pope or any man that’s on this earth and be all the better for it. If you are willing to do that, then you will be the ones that the angels are talking to in the end times when they say flee her, my people, meaning flee that church. She has brought ruination to the world, and she’s become drunk with the blood of the saints, meaning she’s killed the good people of Christ throughout its history. And so good people are in the wrong churches.

Please know that I am not saying anybody out there who’s a member of this church or that church that you’re an evil person, what I am saying is that your church is not following God’s laws. They are not following what the Bible says they need to follow. They do the exact opposite of what the Bible tells you to do. When the Bible says don’t eat pork, they have Easter. What’s the Easter dinner? Ham. When the Bible tells you don’t celebrate Easter, Ezekiel chapter 7 and 8, what do we do? We celebrate Easter and not Passover.

We do everything the opposite.

Our churches do everything opposite of what God tells us to do in the Bible.

Jesus says He is Lord of the Sabbath day, so we say He did away with the Sabbath day.

The Sabbath is not done away with if He’s Lord of the Sabbath!! That means it’s still the Sabbath day. Jesus says in Matthew 24, talking about the end time prophecy, how bad the times will be, and that you should hope your flight is not in winter or on a Sabbath day. Why does Jesus use the word Sabbath day in the end time tribulation if the Sabbath was done with and replaced by Sunday? No one can answer that who wants to follow Sunday worship because the truth of the matter is that Jesus Christ is Lord of the Sabbath day, which is Saturday on your calendar.

I hope I explained this a little better and a little longer than I did yesterday. If you take the two shows together and you look and doing a little research yourself, you will find out exactly what you are to do and what’s going on.
