Yes, Hemorrhoids in the Bible and other Warnings (Transcript)

Hemorrhoids. Everybody knows about hemorrhoids, but are you aware of how God talks about them in the Bible? Yes. It is true. Hemorrhoids are in the Bible!

Hi, this is Bob Barney with the 7:11 broadcast from the Plain Truth Today.

For a little humorous and often not understood case of the people not knowing what’s in the Bible, I will start out talking about hemorrhoids. Are you aware that at least in two places that I know of in the Bible hemorrhoids are mentioned? I’m getting a lot of this information right now from a book that we offer from time to time that is also signed by the author, Joe Kovacs, who’s my brother-in-law. It’s called Shocked by the Bible. Joe has many excellent books, Shocked by the Bible 2, The Divine Secret, and Reaching God Speed have sprung forth from. This was his first book on the Bible called Shocked by the Bible and it’s one of the best books for an elementary type understanding of the Bible that almost everybody really needs to read. Why do I suggest that? Because most people do not have an in-depth knowledge of the Bible, especially the Old Testament. This book was one of the best books out there to absolutely dispel many of the myths that many people have about what they think is in the Bible.

Just as an aside, as this is my opinion, but I think God has a pretty good sense of humor.

I think God probably has a better sense of humor than we ever think that God could have. I think God is quite modern when it comes to His thought whenever He needs to be, and He’s quite ancient in His thoughts when He needs to be. God can be on any level but I do think God has a sense of humor.

Something else I will add, and this was called to my attention many years ago, probably in the 1980s when I was studying different books on the Bible. An author whom I have forgotten his name had mentioned that it was very easy to be a person of God because He makes sure that you can answer any question. God never asked anybody a question they can’t answer. For example, when Moses first met God at the burning bush on Mount Sinai, God asked him questions like, what’s in your hand? And Moses said, a staff. Well, then throw it down and it became a snake. So, you know, of course, God knew what was in his hand. Moses knew what was in his hand however God asked simple questions, knowing that probably Moses might not be very bright. But anyway, that’s the sense of humor of God, in my opinion.

Here’s another example of God’s sense of humor.

Before I get into this on the situation that I was going to mention up on the two cases of hemorrhoids in the Bible, I’m going to get to the first case. It is actually a plague mentioned about in Deuteronomy, the 28th chapter of Deuteronomy. If you know, I mention the 28th chapter of Deuteronomy and the 26th chapter of Leviticus all the time. It’s called the two chapters of blessings and cursing’s of God to God’s people, Israel. If you listen to this broadcast enough, you know that the United States of America is part of Lost Israel, namely the tribe of Ephraim. Great Britain and some of the colonies associated with Great Britain are Manasseh. Denmark is Dan, the Mark of Dan. France, for example, is Reuben, the lost tribe of Reuben. And the Holland is Naphtali. I believe Asher is Belgium. I don’t have them all in my head right now, but you can find the Lost 10 tribes. Many people believe erroneously that the Jews are Israel and Israel are all Jews and it’s just not the case. The Jews were only one. Then later on, three tribes of Israel out of the 13 tribes of Israel, were comprised of the Jews.

The Jews are the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Benjamin, which was really part of, it should be part of Joseph’s family in a way, because Benjamin was Joseph’s full brother. But the nation of Judah, which was south of Israel in your Bible was the Judah, the Jews, that’s where you get to name Jew from, the tribe of Benjamin. Paul, for example, the apostle Paul called himself a Jew, but he said he was from the tribe of Benjamin and of course, the tribe of Levi, the Levites, or the priestly class of the 12 tribes; which later became 13.

We won’t get into that today. But I mention all the time that when you read Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28, God gives blessings if we obey his Ten Commandments, and then he gives cursing’s if we do not want to obey God’s Ten Commandments and the law. Part of the cursing happens to be that the foreigner that live among you will rule over you, and that you will be suffering from all kinds of medical problems, mainly inflammation, in which today you read any medical journal or go to any doctor, and he’s going to talk about the inflammation in your body. Inflammation is what causes everything from diabetes to heart conditions to hardening of the arteries, everything, rheumatoid arthritis, everything has to do with inflammation.

Well, in the Bible, in both Leviticus and Deuteronomy 28, Deuteronomy 28 especially talks about one of the plagues that God will give to the people, His people, if they refuse to obey his laws. We are guilty of this very thing in this country. He said He would send inflammation among the people as a health problem. Well, another one he said he would do in Deuteronomy 28 verse 27, the Lord will smite you with a botch of Egypt with hemorrhoids and with the scab and with the itch, and the itch and hemorrhoids go well together, that you cannot be healed. That’s an interesting idea, but part of the cursing that God gives is not only inflammation, but the idea you would have hemorrhoids, and anybody that’s ever suffered from hemorrhoids will probably tell you that it’s a pretty debilitating problem to have.

The second mention that I know of in the Bible comes in one Samuel.

In the original translation, there’s only one book of Samuel where there was a high priest named Eli, and Eli had two wicked sons and the Bible says this about him, Eli’s sons were scoundrels, they had no regard for the Lord. Now it was the practice of the priest that whenever anybody would sacrifice, offer a sacrificing, the priest’s servant would come in with a three-pronged fork in his hand while the meat was still being boiled, and would plunge the fork into the pan or the kettle and take it out, and whatever the fork brought out they would take to the priest for themselves. But even before the fat was burned, the priest’s servant would come and say to the people who were sacrificing, give the priest some choice meat. It goes on to point out that this was the way it was supposed to be done, but Eli’s two wicked sons would steal the meat for themselves and not for the temple use of the priest, of all the priests with the sacrifices.

They were stealing from the sacrifice, however that wasn’t the worst thing that was going on with them.

The worst thing was they were actually seducing the temple girls that were there to help administer and clean and take care of the outer courts of the temple, and I would assume they were all young virgin girls; and they were seducing them. Now these two priests were married, these two sons of Eli were married, but they found time to have some extramarital affairs with young girls that were helping around the temple, and again, God was not very happy with this. What God had said to Samuel, who was a boy that was born to a woman who couldn’t get pregnant, and she prayed to the Lord to get pregnant and He made her pregnant, and she dedicated him with a Nazarite vow, like John the Baptist and like Samson, to be always at the temple serving the Lord every single day as her repayment for God allowing her to get pregnant. So that was the case when Eli was told by Samuel, who was still only a boy at the time, that God had spoken to him in the night, and that’s a pretty funny kind of story in itself.

I really recommend people reading the book of Samuel and they will understand where I’m coming from. The first chapter, the first few chapters of Samuel are just phenomenal as there is a lot of insight as to what is in God’s mind. Also, you will get an insight into God’s humor and God’s good sense of humor at that! But his two sons were very wicked before the Lord, and they were having sexual relations with young girls around the temple, which was a sin, a sin against the Ten Commandments, not only were they committing adultery, but they were also deflowering, I guess the right word, young girls and ruining their lives, because back then girls had to be virgins when they got married. The idea these priests were doing this, and they were priests, and the son of the high priest doing this to these young girls, God found wicked, and what ended up happening here, and it’s very important, God tells Samuel to tell Eli that He is going to get even with Israel for all of their backsliding. God said that in regard to both Eli and his sons. What happened was that God allowed the people from Ashdod to invade Israel and to defeat them in battle and kill the two sons of Eli. When he was told about what happened, he actually died of a heart attack as he was a very fat old man, they said he was very obese, and he died of a heart attack upon hearing the news. Especially upon hearing the news that not only was Israel defeated by their enemies in battle, and his two sons were killed by them, but the Ark of the Covenant was stolen by these pagans. The pagans took it back to their camp, and Israel lost the Ark of the Covenant.

Well, to get back to the story of hemorrhoids, the Ark stayed for seven months in the hands of the enemies of Israel, and Israel was downtrodden, and depressed, because of their defeat and the loss of their Ark. The Ark contained God’s words and the power of God, but God had a purpose to allow the Ark to be stolen. He had a purpose to show the people around Israel the power of the Lord and he did so by sending them a plague of hemorrhoids. This is what it says, it says, so they take the Ark, and they start getting hemorrhoids, including hemorrhoids that lead to death, and if you do look up in some search engines about hemorrhoids, complications from hemorrhoids rarely, but can lead to death, so it seems like in this particular case in the Bible, it led to quite a few deaths. That is some case of hemorrhoids. Consequently, this made the people of Ashdod absolutely panicked about the people’s God from Israel named Yahweh, or the Lord, if they knew the name or not, but they knew Israel’s God, and they also were already terribly afraid of Israel’s God. Why? Because they knew what this God did to the land of Egypt when they freed the Israelites from Egypt some hundred years earlier, or whatever it was, I guess would be probably about 50 years earlier.

So they started having hemorrhoids, and they didn’t know what to do, and it was funny, when they came in possession of the Ark, which contained God’s Ten Commandments is one of the things it contained, God was not pleased. Especially when the worshipers ended up putting the statue of Dagon in front of the Ark, and made the Ark like subservient to their God, Dagon. All of the sudden hemorrhoids appeared, rats evidently as well, but hemorrhoids, and the hemorrhoids were debilitating. It says, but the hand of the Lord was heavy upon Ashdod, and he destroyed them, and smote them with hemorrhoids, and again, like I said, the Darby translation does render it hemorrhoids, not emoroids as the King James does.

The next thing that these people do to try to get rid of this Ark now, after seven months, they realize they’re in trouble, so they need to send the Ark back to Israel. They actually make an offering, a peace offering, a guilt offering, the Bible calls it, and to send the Ark back with it, and they make gold statues of hemorrhoids. I don’t know what that looked like, but they made five gold statues of hemorrhoids, and then five statues of rats, so God plagued them with both rats and hemorrhoids. I don’t think there’s a connection, but I just wanted to get to this idea as I always talk about the health section of The Plain Truth, called Your Health Today, and about different diseases, and different conditions that occur today.

I wanted to talk about one in the Bible that actually is quite humorous to read, and one should understand that God has a lot of humor when it comes to dealing with all of us. I thought I would just mention that in the beginning of this show as we talk about God, the Bible, the Old Testament, plagues, and diseases.

Here is another topic I want to get into that is similar to the idea of the plague of hemorrhoids. Again, in Leviticus 26 and Deuteronomy 28. I will be reading from the Bible that I have published called The Plain Truth’s Holy Bible, where all the words of Christ are in red, including the words of God that are in the Old Testament, but we get to Leviticus 26. The warnings and blessings chapter for obeying or not obeying God’s laws. It starts out by saying, don’t make idols for yourself, or set up statues, or memorials, don’t put stone statues in your land to bow down and worship them, because I am the Lord your God. Remember my Sabbaths, and respect my holy place, I am the Lord.

You know, one of the things that we are supposed to do, one of the top 10 is honor the Sabbath Day. This is the Commandment that most churches don’t want to follow, and that’s why you don’t find the Ten Commandments in churches…they only want them hung in courthouses and in schools, and in public buildings…while they themselves are an apostate against the Ten Commandments. They refuse to observe God’s Sabbath day on the 7th day, and which they deem Sunday. You can do any good course reading on the internet and you will see that the Saturday Sabbath, sunrise to the sunrise ending on Sunday morning, is the seventh day Sabbath that God commands when He says, remember my Sabbaths, and respect my holy place.

Verse 3 continues, if you remember my laws and my commands and obey them, I will give you rains in due season, and the lands will produce great crops, and the trees will be full of produce of their fruit. Your threshing floor will continue until the grape harvest, and your grape harvest will continue until the time to plant, and you will have plenty to eat, and you will live safely in your land, and you will chase your enemies and defeat them, killing them with the sword. Five of you will chase a hundred, and a hundred of you will chase ten thousand, and you will defeat your enemies and kill them by the sword. That’s pretty good blessings if you follow God’s Ten Commandments! I don’t think most people out there realize how we are being disobedient and what blessings await us.

There was a time in America when we were obeying the Ten Commandments, maybe not the Sabbath like we should have, but we were obeying everything else. God does forgive some sin and there was a time when we did chase our enemies away. Even just a small bit of us had the power to do so, a small number of people could chase away thousands before them and we won every battle we ever were in. Until Vietnam came along.

Vietnam occurred right after we kicked God out of our schools. Maybe it had something to do with that.

But here he goes in verse 14, Leviticus...but if you do not obey me and keep all of my commandments, and you turn away from my rules and hate my laws, refusing to obey them, you have broken this agreement. As a result, I will do this to you. I will cause terrible things to happen to you.I will cause you to have diseases and fever that will destroy your eyes and slowly kill you. You will not have success when you plant your seeds, and your enemy will eat your crops, and I will be against you, and your enemies will defeat you. And after all of this, if you still do not obey me, I will punish you seven times for your sins. I will break your great pride, and I will make your sky like iron, meaning no rain, droughts, weather problems, and you will work hard, but it will not help you, and your land will not grow any crops or any fruit on the trees of your crops. And if you still turn against me, I will beat you seven times harder. And then he talks about destroying cattle and stuff like that. And then at the end, He talks about what happens if you just go and remember God, follow his laws, and he can forgive our sins and take them away from us. Now, if we go to Deuteronomy, and I’m putting this up right now without stopping, it’s the same thing as Leviticus 26, Deuteronomy 28, that is, excuse me. You find it again, Deuteronomy 28, where He gives the same blessings for obeying and how your children will be blessed…and your baskets will be full of harvest, and you will be blessed when you come and go.

Starting verse 15, He speaks of cursings for disobedience. It reads a lot like Leviticus 26, but it is not the same as Leviticus 26 and you’ll see why here. He adds some more things that are more modern, more things that we should worry about that are actually happening today. But if you do not obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commandments and the laws that I am giving you today, all these curses will come upon you. Now, remember that if you read the plain truth Bible, where God’s word, Christ’s words are in red, all of this would be in red, not in black, like in the Bible you’re probably reading because it is Jesus Christ as the Lord of the Old Testament speaking here. These are quotes. That’s why it says that I give you and I will do this to you, because Jesus is the God of the Old Testament. Jesus didn’t come along in the New Testament to do away with this Father God’s harsh penalty laws. No, Jesus is that God of the Old Testament who put to death those who broke the Sabbath day, for example.

Those who broke the Sabbath were put to death!

This is the same God who became a man, Jesus Christ. Do not ever forget this.

You will be cursed in the city and cursed in the country, going on with the words of Christ in the Old Testament. Your basket and your kitchen will be cursed. Your children will be cursed and your crops and your calves and your lambs will be cursed and you will be cursed when you go in and when you go out. Think about that. The Lord will send you confusion and punishment and everything you do and you will be destroyed and suddenly ruined because you did what was wrong. The Lord will give you terrible diseases, is the scripture that I wanted to get to. He says he is going to destroy you from the land you’re going to take. The Lord will punish you with disease, fever, swelling, heat, lack of rain, plant diseases, mildew until you die.

You know, all of these mildews, you ever hear of black mold, how it kills people? How houses have to be totally destroyed if the house is totally consumed with black mold that makes people violently sick? Well, this is a curse from God for not following his laws and commandments. Think about that. The Lord will also punish you with boils like those of the Egyptians had and you will have bad growth, sores, itches, and this is part of the hemorrhoid thing as well, and the Lord will give you madness, blindness, and confused mind. We are in a mist of mental illness in this country today. 

The shooter that happened in Georgia, this kid was totally mentally ill.

He needed help and he never got it.

We are a country in need of a sane mental condition, and there are insane people in America today…this was told or predicted by God, and it’s happening. The Lord will give you madness, blindness, and a confused mind, and you will have to feel around in the daytime like a blind person. You will be engaged to a woman, but another man will force her to have sexual relations with him. This is not talking about you’re going to be engaged to a woman who runs off with another man. No, this is what’s happening today in America. You have people engaged to a woman who is in love with the person she’s engaged to, but some illegal alien enters her house, rapes her, tortures her, and kills her. That is what was predicted by God some 3,000 years ago and it is happening today; unfortunately, too many Americans just do not see it.

You will plant a vineyard, but you will not get its grapes. Your ox will be killed before your eyes, but you won’t eat any of the meat. Your donkey will be taken away from you or your car or your home by some squatter. People you don’t even know that it is the illegal aliens who will be eating the crops that you grew with your own hands, and the Lord will give you sore boils on your knees and legs that cannot be cured. Sounds like a cancerous type boil that people are getting, like sun cancer, which is a skin cancer, and you will have them on your feet as well as the top of your head.

I will send you and your leaders away to a nation that your ancestors never knew…

This is the eventual fate of this country, no matter if we vote for Donald Trump or not in November, which may give us some time, but this country is predicted by our God to go into captivity because of our lawlessness, because of our refusal to obey what God tells us to do, so if we come around now and we pray to God and we confess our sins to God and we turn around our hearts, God will forgive this generation.

We can have a chance to live on, but I will tell you right now that eventually this is not going to happen.

Eventually, God is predicting that stubborn, blind, evil people will eventually take over this country, and one of them is trying to do so right now in the form of a presidential election, and it’s not Donald Trump.

Eventually that evil people will contain or continue to contain all the means necessary to take over the democracy or the freedom that we all have, the liberty that we all have, take it away from us in the guise of security and democracy, which is a joke. As a result we will find ourselves enslaved.

Then that leader will find themselves conquered by our enemies, namely Europe will become our biggest enemy by this time, and our leaders who sold us into slavery and took away our rights and all of our money, they themselves will end up like what happened to Israel’s kings. This was when Israel fell to the Babylonians and later to the Romans, but when they fell to the Babylonians, the king and all his children, or all his male children, were killed. They were slaughtered. That was what they earned. That was their wages for sin and punishment for being terrible leaders that betrayed the people that they were sworn by God to protect!

That is what’s happening in this country right now, and hopefully we can forestall that for another, I don’t know, 8, 10, 20, maybe 30, 40 years. I don’t know how long we have before the inevitable happens, but right now, this November, again, I keep saying it’s probably the most important election you’ll ever have. Why? Because right now we could be at the very time of the end of America as we know it, and then we go into a form of captivity with evil leaders who will then be replaced through aggression and wars by foreign nations of Europe that will enslave all of us. They will take over this country and take over everything we have. They will kill the corrupt leaders that did this to us as well. They have a really tough time coming. They just don’t know it.

Well, that’s enough for today yet not a very pleasing message to give. Some of it is humorous in the beginning and some of it is not, but it’s a warning that I have to give you.

It is the news.

The plain truth is about the news.

It’s not a religion. It’s not a view of the Bible. It is the view of God that has been given in the Bible that is the plain truth.

It is the fact, and it will happen no matter what you want to think and no matter what you want to believe.

God doesn’t need you to believe in him to make what he says coming true to come true. You don’t have to do a thing. You can sit there, and you can bury your head in the sand like an ostrich, and God’s still going to do what God claims he’s going to do.

There’s nothing you’re going to do to stop it except you can delay it by getting your heart right with God, admitting your sins, going to Jesus Christ who’s your Lord and Savior and admitting your sins and asking for forgiveness, and you will receive it.

If enough Americans do so, Americans will receive it as well and they will get from their God some borrowed time.
