Friday Wrap-Up with Bob: August 30, 2024 (Transcript)

Hello, this is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com. It’s Friday wrap-up time where I go over some of the big stories of the week, add a little bit of commentary and see what both you and I think about all of the week’s news.

(1:38) Eventually, we’ll get away from all this politics and get into other things, but it is what is important right now and I think it’s very important that we do discuss what’s going to happen in this election if things go wrong.

I think God has listened to the prayers of the people, but ultimately, God is not going to pull the lever for you.

(1:23)There’s a little joke that I want to tell you right now before we start off with the show:

It is about a guy who’s down on his luck and he keeps praying to God, but he doesn’t get an answer that he wants, and he is trying to get some money. His first prayer to God was that he’s way behind on his mortgage payment on his house and he needs to win the lottery. If he doesn’t win the lottery, he will not have enough money to pay the mortgage payment and he and his wife will be kicked out of the home. He prays, and of course, he doesn’t win the lottery…and he is very distraught because he loses his home. The next thing is his car payment. He’s going to lose his car and he’s not going to be able to go to work. So, he prays to God and says, if I don’t get the money to pay this car payment, I’m afraid I am going to lose my truck and then I won’t be able to go to work. I’ll get fired from work, and I’m just in trouble. I need to win the lottery; nothing happens. The next day, he wakes up and he hasn’t won he’s very despondent. His third prayer to God is, Lord, I am in real bad trouble. I’m broke. I’m homeless and I don’t have a car anymore. I don’t have a job, and my wife says she can’t take it and she’s going to leave me. If I don’t win the lottery, I’m going to lose my wife. The next day, he wakes up. He realizes he hasn’t won the lottery. God just doesn’t answer him. So finally, he says, this is it. I’m going to do one more prayer. I’m going to pray to God and I’m going to say, God, I am at the end of my rope. I’ve prayed to you religiously now for three times, and you just ignore me. You don’t care that I lost my house. You don’t care that I lost my wife. You don’t care that I lost my job. I’m going to kill myself. If you don’t let me win the lottery by tomorrow to put things together, and when I don’t win, I’m going to kill myself. Then he hears a voice from heaven. He’s never heard this before, and he hears a voice calling his name, and he goes, yes, and he goes, can you help me out? Can you buy a lottery ticket?

(3:24)You see, God can’t do everything for you. You may want to win the lottery, but you still have to buy the ticket!

You have to show faith. You have to show faith with action, and you can’t just, oh, I’m going to win the lottery and think God’s going to let you win the lottery, yet you don’t even go buy the lottery ticket.

Well, the same thing about this election or about anything you pray to God about.

If you don’t put your prayers with action, don’t expect them to be answered because God’s not going to do all your work for you.

(3:52 There are maybe a few possibilities that are an exception to what I am pointing out. Let’s say you’re crashing in an airplane and there’s nothing you can do to put in action, and you say, God save me, and by some miracle, you’re saved. Then there is a case where God didn’t need you to do anything but just take the ride and he protects you through it however, for the most part, when you pray to God, you have to pray to God with faith and action. Point being, if we don’t take action when it comes to this election this November we are going to get what we deserve and what we deserve if we don’t go out and vote and make sure that other people don’t illegally vote, and we don’t tell people the errors of their ways and the laws they are breaking, and try your best to present what has to happen, then God is not going to help and we’re going to be doomed with a country that will not survive another four or five years.

(4:36) But anyway, I wanted to give you that little thing about the upcoming election and why we’re spending so much time talking about it because it is very important to the future of this nation. It may not be important to the future of your salvation. Your salvation can be very safely wrapped up with God by obeying Christ, knowing what Christ did for you, and following God’s rules, but that doesn’t make your life easy if you have to go through what is going to happen…especially if we do not do something to change the direction of this country right away.

(5:11) So, one of the points I wanted to get to in this whole scheme of talking about politics is really funny. The Democrats spent millions of dollars, and they ran Robert Kennedy out of his own money trying to keep him off ballot. They did so by saying that he was not a legitimate candidate, and they tried to keep him off ballots in all the states. Kennedy got on all these states with his ballots. He did the impossible. His people went out and got millions of signatures and they got on the ballots, but the Democrats, especially Joe Biden, who was being very petty over this thing, refused to give him Secret Service protection. They did this because they said he wasn’t a real candidate and so he didn’t deserve Secret Service protection. It took Donald Trump being shot and him calling out Biden and the Democrats about Robert Kennedy who by the way is a member of the most assassinated family in American history when it comes to politics, that it took Donald Trump to embarrass the (6:23) White House and the Democrats to give Robert Kennedy Secret Service protection.

But the story doesn’t end here.

 (5:18) Robert Kennedy decided to drop out of the race. He wanted to leave his name on certain ballots, but he wanted his name off ballots where he could hurt Trump because he wanted to see Trump win the nomination.

So what did the Democrats do?

(5:37)Those who at first said he wasn’t a real candidate, fought him with all their might to keep him off the ballots saying he didn’t legitimately belong on the ballots. Now that he withdrew and he’s supporting Trump, now they’re fighting to keep him on the ballots that they were fighting to keep him off before!

Joe Biden took away Secret Service protection. So, which is it? Is he a candidate and he should have to remain on the ballot, and he can’t get off as they’re arguing now? Then if he’s still a candidate and you can’t remove his name from the ballot as they’re telling the judges, then why doesn’t he have Secret Service protection? These are the questions that the media should be asking..the conservative media, really not the mainstream media because we know there is no mainstream media.

The mainstream media is just an arm of the Democratic Party. But these are the questions that should be demanded, including in briefs to the judges. If this man is not a candidate and he should not be on the ballot before then why can he be forced to be on the ballot today? And if he’s forced to be on the ballot today because he is a candidate, how do you justify taking away Secret Service protection saying he’s no longer a candidate? Do you see what I’m saying here? 

This is the nonsense that the American public has to put their foot down about.

We have to hold these politicians, these lawyers, and these judges accountable to their devious actions because they want to see these people killed.

 (8:01) I was watching Greg Kelly last night on Newsmax talking about all the inconsistencies of the Donald Trump assassination attempt in Pennsylvania. He came to the same conclusion that I came to three weeks ago. He said that this was a deep state Democratic-inspired assassination plot to kill Donald Trump. I already came to that conclusion. There’s too much lying going on. They cremated the body without releasing an autopsy so people could not ask for a re-autopsy. They did everything they could to cover up what this guy was about, what he really believed, and his body. They covered up, they lied about why they weren’t on the roof. They lied about the local police saying they did not get cooperation. Everything they’ve done is a lie. You lie when you’re not telling the truth and they’re not telling the truth about what they know about this assassination attempt because they were behind it. You can’t tell me this 21-year-old kid had all of these foreign accounts that were Google accounts like overseas where they can’t be traced or tracked or all the stuff that a paid assassin would have. This guy did not have the brains to do this kind of stuff and it’s so obvious what’s going on here. So, we have to, as a people, start holding people accountable. I’m just telling you right now.

(9:38)  In 2020, I made something clear I want to share again today. I know a lot of people think it’s a conspiracy theory, it’s a bunch of bull and it is MAGA bull and all this however, in 2020, we had, and there’s no two ways about me and what I’m going to say here, IT WAS A STOLEN ELECTION. There was no way Joe Biden got 81 million votes. He did not. He barely probably got 60 million votes. So there was probably 10, 20 million illegal votes. Well, Texas last week just cleaned their voter registration of a million phony or dead people registered to vote for this election. A million in Texas alone.

(10:30) Let me put this in perspective. Donald Trump lost an actual real count, we’re not talking about popular election, we’re talking about state-by-state electoral college. He lost with only 87,000 votes. That’s all. That is 0.003% of the votes. 87,000 votes. All the Democrats had to do was steal on average four to 5,000 votes in every swing state. Now we’re finding millions in Texas alone on the voter rolls that didn’t belong there? If you don’t believe that 2020 wasn’t a stolen election, again, you’re the one listening to conspiracy theories. You’re listening to Democratic lies about conspiracy theories.

 (11:45) On another note, for the week, we put this up on the message board. I don’t think we had it on the main page, but vice president nominee Tim Walz continues to act weird. I think the Democrats sit around half drunk. You know, Nancy is always drunk all the time, Nancy Pelosi. And they sit around, and they say, well, what are we? Oh, we’re really weird. I mean, we support queers. We support people who don’t know what gender they are. We support illegal aliens. We support murderers. We support criminals. We see criminals free. Now THAT is what is really weird. I mean, we are a weird party? Yup. That’s it. We’re called the weird Republicans. You see, everything that the Democrats know they are, they flip it and they say that that is what the Republicans are. And now you got Kamala Harris, for example, starting to take on MAGA ideas. She’s going to be strong on the border. She’s going to build a border wall when she’s all over the news in the last four years condemning Donald Trump’s vanity border wall that she said she would destroy and has stated often that the border is secure. Now she says the border’s not secure. So when she was border czar, she’s vice president still. And she swore to everybody that wanted to listen that the border was secure. Now she’s saying the borders not secure. She’s actually running like she’s not the incumbent. She’s actually running like Donald Trump’s still a president.

(12:37) She’s blaming the border crisis on Donald Trump who’s not been in office for four years. You think about that. That’s what’s going on. What’s even weirder yet, is she finally gives her first interview to a news agency which is CNN. That’s really going to be a real tough one…and what does she have to do? She has to bring Walz along like taking daddy along on her first date or on a job interview. You take daddy along. So just in case I don’t know how to answer a question, he can answer it for you. Or, if I actually say something really stupid, he can intervene and try to straighten it out. I mean, it’s so ridiculous. It’s so obvious what’s going on here that even her handlers, even the people behind Kamala Harris know she’s the dumbest thing that walks down the face of the earth. She’s dumber than a rock.

(13:25) There was a poster a long time ago about George Bush saying, ” like a rock only dumber”. GM is like a rock. But George Bush, like a rock, but dumber. Well, I got news for you. If George Bush was dumb, this woman here has the brains of a tadpole. She’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard in my life. She doesn’t have a brain that can blow her to hell. All she can do is lie on her back or whatever she has done (or still does) to get anywhere in life and in politics…one thing I know is that she sure didn’t get there with any brains.

(14:05) Speaking about having no brains…let’s talk again about Nancy Pelosi. We had played both last Sunday and in my Monday program about Nancy Pelosi’s mafia connections. It’s very obvious to see that she runs her whole life like she’s a mobster and she most likely is an actual mobster. It’s just amazing what the American people are tolerating from the Democrats. I just find it amazing. I don’t believe any other country, by the way, I don’t think this would happen in third world countries. I think they would take these people out and they would execute them in a coup. That’s what I think would happen if it were Venezuela or if it were Brazil or even the Congo. They wouldn’t allow all of this stuff going on but we do.

(14:48) Economic news for the week is the Fed. Everyone now says the Fed’s going to start lowering interest rates. Is it going to be a quarter point? Is it going to be a half point? Is it going to be two quarter points? Is it going to be a half point and then a quarter point before the election? All in an effort that the so-called nonpolitical Fed can get Kamala Harris elected. That’s what it’s about. They’re going to artificially heat up the economy which is going to cause three things to happen. Number one is something that I predicted four months ago which is that if the Fed starts lowering rates, buy as much stock as you can afford. It’s going to make the stock market go through the roof for about two or three weeks or till the election…especially if she’s elected in November, the stock market is going to crash. So if you have left your money in the stock market after the election you’re going to be broke. You’re going to be in worse shape than the people in the 1929 crash. The stock market will have a crash like you’ve never seen in your life. In turn, inflation will run rampant, and the price of gold will be $3,500 an ounce within months. Now, even if she’s not elected and they lower the interest rates, the stock market is still going to go up. You’re going to get some money for a while, but then you’re going to watch your 401k or your IRA just absolutely disappear at the beginning of the year, even if Donald Trump is elected because you can’t start lowering interest rates when we’re borrowing so much money. You just can’t do it. And that’s going to cause runaway inflation. You’re going to see all commodities go up dramatically in price. You’re going to see $4, $5 gas. You’re going to see $3,500 gold. So I just warned right now that the Fed is acting as a political animal because they are trying to prevent Donald Trump from being elected and they want to put their fingers on the scale and try to force a better economy before the election, even though every single member of the Fed knows that their policy will cause a Great Depression.

Donald Trump is right when he says there’s going to be a Great Depression.

(17:04) Another topic we had this week on The Plain Truth which I found very fascinating…let me give you a little bit of the background. I always have respected and liked Richard Nixon. There are things about his policies I did not like. I did not like his price controls, something that Harris is towing along. I didn’t like the idea of the EPA which he put in. I just had a thought…the liberals should really love Richard Nixon! If he wasn’t a Republican and if he wasn’t a Republican that exposed all the communists high up in the Truman administration, they should really like him. This is why he is really hated though…because he saw the communists right where they were in the Democratic Party and at the Democratic headquarters and in the various Democratic Washington positions. He literally exposed them, and he got them all arrested. That is why the media turned on him…because they’ themselves are all communists. That’s why the Democratic Party turned on him as well, because they’re all communists, too! That is why many Republicans themselves turned on him because many of them are communists. 

(17:58)Don’t you think anything else? He was a big-time anti-communist. In the interviews this week, there’s more than one that I’ve listened to. I only put the one up that was about 30 minutes, but I’m going to have probably on the message board a string starting about Richard Nixon and include the YouTube interviews. He had some really good things. What did they think about John Kennedy? I think people would be surprised. They were good friends. I will also think you’d be surprised that when Nixon was running for Congress against a Democratic communist opponent, John Kennedy came and put $1,000 on his desk in his office and said, this is from my dad. He explains well that his father controlled all the money, but John Kennedy was obviously in agreement and said so later, but he said, here’s $1,000…we need you to win this election. People don’t know this, but John Kennedy with all his failings, and he had a lot, was a rabid anti-communist to the 10th degree. He would be a Republican today. There were some other good things. He had another interview about how he compared to three Kennedy brothers. He said, John Kennedy was like a movie star. He was a very brilliant man, a very shy man in person, but he was just like a movie star. He just stood up and he said, Bobby Kennedy was just nothing but work. He didn’t smile. He didn’t tell jokes. He wasn’t gregarious. He worked and worked and worked trying to stop communism in America.

(19:38) Can you believe that? Again, trying to stop what the Democratic Party is today in America. Maybe that tells you why he was killed too. Then he said, Teddy Kennedy, his impression of him was he was the true Irish politician. He loved to talk. He loved to go to parties. He loved to stand out. He loved to give speeches. He was in a world of his own and from a raw political standpoint, Richard Nixon thought he was the greatest politician of the Kennedys, but that Nixon interview was very interesting to listen to.

(20:06) By the way, when we were talking about inflation and everything, gold has reached, as of this morning, gold was $2,560 an ounce. Just a year, 14 months ago, it was $1,800 an ounce, so just think about that. I think we’re going to see $2,600 gold by the end of September and if they do lower interest rates drastically, I think you’ll see $3,000 gold by the end of the year, if or not quicker. You better watch your gold and what’s going to happen with gold. I think it’s almost too late to get it, but it’s not too late to buy silver. Silver is still a very good deal. It’s still about $30 an ounce. It should be $50 an ounce and I do believe it eventually will be $50 an ounce, and here’s reasons why silver is a better investment right now than gold, in my opinion, though I still think gold could hit $5,000. It could still double in the next two years with the right conditions, but silver, unlike gold, is used in the manufacturing of circuit boards, of all kinds of electronics and other things, even in paint. I’m in the paint industry and colloidal silver, a form of silver, is used as a biocide in paint. We actually make a paint that you put on walls, you put in bathrooms, it kills all bacteria and all viruses. Hospitals would like stuff like that, or the U.S. Navy, and it uses colloidal silver. It uses a form of silver. So silver is used in manufacturing gold. It really is not, and silver, (20:58)  if you look at the gold-silver ratio index, silver really should be right now $40-$50 an ounce, and silver could literally go to $100 an ounce. So it’s a cheap way, you know, if you only had about $4,000 or $5,000 or even less to invest, that’s not going to get you an ounce or two of gold, where it’s going to get you a lot of silver and get it in your hands and put it away in a safe somewhere.

Don’t buy futures or have somebody else store it for you, because if times hit the wall, then your silver or your gold is going to disappear along with the wall. So remember that.

(22:36) Tomorrow again is the Sabbath day, and I do hope people look into our articles that we write about the Sabbath day, because it is very important to understand God’s calendar. We had up this week, one of my better shows explaining God’s calendar and God’s day. I presented and proved with scripture and logic that today begins in the morning. I proved how God’s calendar begins on the equinox, the spring equinox, and that God’s calendar is made up of exactly 12, 30-day months with five or six days that are not counted at the end of the year until the next equinox happens. It’s very easy to prove that the Bible is 12 30-day months by using the Bible. The show gets into it, and we had some links to actually prove it. \

Tomorrow is a Sabbath day, and it is the true Sabbath day. It’s the day that Christians are supposed to worship God and take the day off and not work on that day as we are commanded to keep it holy.

The Sabbath day was not made for Jews. The Sabbath day, as Jesus Christ says in the New Testament, was made for all mankind.

He didn’t say, oh, the Sabbath was made for Jews, and I’m Lord of the Jewish Sabbath. No, he said the Sabbath was made for man, and I’m Lord of the Sabbath.

(23:32)You know, Jesus Christ actually rose from the dead on the Sabbath day, not on Sunday. I get into that a little bit in that show this week. You might want to go back and listen to it. But Jesus Christ actually rose from the dead on the Lord’s Sabbath day, and you can prove it in the Bible, not by just listening to me. That was a very good show, and I do recommend you listen to it to help you understand the Sabbath day.

Tomorrow, again, we will have a Sabbath day show at 7 11 in the morning. We are still contemplating moving the show to 7 11 in the evening. I haven’t heard anybody respond to that. I ask people to send me their thoughts in an email, but nobody has. Either nobody’s listening again however, my numbers show that people are listening, or that they don’t really care when the show is, because I think a lot of people listen to the show throughout the day.

I don’t think they listen to it actually at 7 11 in the morning. They just know it’s going to always be available for the whole day, and even yesterday’s show or last month’s show is available when you go to theplaintruthtoday.com, and you can get that from the Plain Truths website. So we’re still thinking about a 7 11 evening show instead of a morning show. So tomorrow morning, there will be a Sabbath show at 7 11 in the morning, and it will not be me, but it will be a very good show, I guarantee you, and it will help you maybe investigate God’s holy days, and His Sabbath. 

(25:02 You know, next month, the month of September, begins the holy days of God. God has a particular month that is very holy. It’s the holiest of all months. It’s the seventh month. Seventh is always completion. That’s what seven is, a symbol of completion, and the seventh month, like the seventh day is the rest day for God’s people. The seventh month is the rest month for God’s people, and the seventh month starts off September 16th with something called the Feast of Trumpets, where trumpets symbolize news broadcasts. Think of a horn that you’re warning the people of bad news coming, and then 10 days later, you have the Day of Atonement, whenever you’re supposed to fast, and then five days after that, you have a vacation week called the Feast of Tabernacles or Feast of Tents, where it’s really you leave your house, you build, maybe put tents out on the lawn, or you go away to a hotel, you go away to another location, you have a week-long vacation. It’s actually eight days, a week-long vacation celebrating what God has done for you and your family and for this world, what He’s going to do for this world, and if you understood God’s holy days, and we have many articles on the Plain Truth, you can look it up very quickly, but if you celebrate God’s holy days, you will be blessed, and you will understand the plan of God, because most Christians really do not understand God’s plan, and it’s pretty hard to follow God’s will when you don’t know what He’s willing, what He wants you to do, and that is following God’s plan. So that’s the Sabbath day show tomorrow, and then Sunday, we will have another Sunday show. It’ll be a YouTube video.

 (27:02)I may have something up special for those people who want to listen to something all day Sunday…people who might be out getting some sun, or they might be having a Labor Day picnic on Sunday, and they want something on their radio, or in this case, on their laptop, or on their iPad, or on their phone, in their car, they can listen to, I do, and they can have a little bit of news on Sunday that I think you’re not going to really hear too many other places. Even though it’s public on YouTube, I search for stories on YouTube that are intriguing that the mainstream media just is not going to touch, so that’s the Sunday show. So this was the Friday wrap-up on theplaintruthtoday.com, and I really appreciate the people that are listening.

I also appreciate people taking the time, when they do so, to let me know what they think. This is a low-budget show, and it’s obvious it is, but it’s the most, I think right now, the most important show you can listen to. You are hearing things you do not hear anywhere else, and you can’t, and I don’t believe you’re going to be able to prove me wrong on most of the things I’m saying.

Maybe some may have issue with my opinions and what I believe is so, however, I’m telling you God’s calendar is real, God’s Day is real, God’s laws are real, what God’s planning is real, who America is, what is real news, and all of this I believe is important for you to know. And hopefully you continue to tell your friends about this broadcast, you tell others, and you keep listening, and maybe they’ll start listening too, and you keep going through theplaintruth.com, to the message board, to Your Health Today, and you will find yourself blessed, in my humblest opinion. So, we’re going to wrap up a minute early today.
