Friday Wrap-Up with Bob: March 21, 2025 (Transcript)

Hello, this is Bob Barney. It’s Friday, another Friday wrap-up time, and this Friday we’re going to wrap up things that happened during the week, a little politics, a little economy, etc., The big news for this week is all week long on the Plain Truth Today, we ran stories about God’s calendar, about the new year, what the day is to God, and when the day begins…we had all kinds of informative programming and announced that this is the first month of God’s holy year.

This is the first month of the year for His coordinates and in 14 days we’re going to have Passover, and then the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and then the Feast of Firstfruits, which is the day, in my opinion, that Christ returned to God the Father in heaven. Fifty days after that comes Pentecost which will fall on May 29th.

So, before we get into what happened elsewhere in the world, I wanted to get into a brief overview of the week…of God’s holy week, or holy month if you will. This is the first of two if the holiest months of God’s calendar which are the first month and the seventh month.

The seventh month some people will say is the most holy month because there are three festivals that fall within this time. Actually, you could say four festivals if you consider the Great Last Day of the Feast of Tabernacles being its own distinct holiday. When we follow God’s holidays, and I’ve said this many times in the past, it is important to realize what we are following the plan of God. When we follow God’s holidays, we are also understanding God’s purpose for us on this earth. This is recognized through the Sabbath, through the Passover, through the Pentecost, and the Day of Atonement. Also of course, the Feast of Tabernacles on the Last Great Day!

(2:20) When you follow the pagan holidays of Satan, and that’s what Christmas is, that’s what New Year’s Day is, the New Year’s Day of January 1st, I should say, that’s what Easter is…did you know by the way that Easter doesn’t even try to hide the fact of its pagan name? Easter is not the opposite of Wester. The name/word Easter is actually from the pagan goddess Astorte, or Astaroth, depends on what language you’re saying it in. In old German, it was Astore, and it becomes Easter in the English language. So they don’t even try to put Christ’s name in it like they do for Christmas. Christmas stands for Christ’s Mass. They took the old Roman holiday of Saturnalia, and they turned it into Christmas, but they changed the name so they could fool people…however when it gets to Easter, they don’t even try to fool anybody.

(2:55)  They just call it Easter because that’s the pagan goddess of fertility’s name.

There was an Easter, by the way, in 2000 BC, not just 2000 AD, and it’s time that people understand that part of the news of God.

The Plain Truth is a news site. We are not a religion. We are not a church. I am not a pastor. I believe I am a newscaster giving you what God says you should know. I don’t talk to God. He doesn’t have breakfast with me like other evangelists claim they do, but I read the Bible, and I know the Bible by faith and by proof, not just faith alone, but you can do it by historical proof that the Bible is the accurate Word of God that gives us a great history of many important facts! It reveals to us how we got here, who we are as a people, who God’s people are, and where the lost ten tribes of Israel happen to be as well. We show you on TPT how the Bible newscasts what the future holds because a newspaper or a news show isn’t really that effective for you if it is not able to tell you what your future is. Knowing yesterday’s weather is not going to help you if you get killed tomorrow by a tornado that you weren’t warned about, and so the idea of real news is news of the future, which you can use with your family to know what’s going to happen. It may not happen in the very short term, but it is going to happen, and the more you’re prepared for it and know who the players are, the better prepared you are to face it.

(4:14) Now, I want to get into something before I even talk about the holiday of the first month of the New Year’s Day. The idea of knowing who we are, knowing God’s calendar, observing Passover, observing the Feast of Tabernacles does not save anyone. You cannot earn your way to salvation. Salvation is a gift of God through the blood and life and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Without Jesus Christ’s blood and death for you to satisfy God’s demand that sin must be covered or atoned with the blood of an animal at first, but now the Creator of all the world, His blood wipes out all sin if you accept it…so that is what ultimately saves you. That is what’s going to give you an eternal life someday on this earth as a son or daughter of God the Father and a brother or sister of Jesus Christ. Today, there are two Gods making up the Godhead. The Father God and Jesus, and they are comprised of the Holy Spirit, and soon in the future, there is going to be millions, millions of children of God. Our destiny, and I say this all the time, but I don’t think it can be said enough, our destiny is that we are going to become the children of God.

(5:36) We’re not going to be some angelic being who is floating around on a cloud overlooking what’s happening below on earth. No, we are going to be, at the end of time, when everything is accomplished, we are going to be born again. We are going to be resurrected from the dead at the coming of Christ if we are a Christian the first time around, and we are going to be changed into a spiritual God-like body. We are going to be God. Some people listen to this and say, that’s blasphemy, but that is what the Bible tells us. It’s very simple. Listen to the words. Read the words on the page and see what the God has called our Father and who Jesus has called our brother. We are called the children of God. God created us in Their own image, after Their own likeness. He did not create us after the angel kind. He did not create us after the who-knows-whatever kind, you know, the floating around cloud kind. He created us, or They created us, or Jesus actually is who created us, in His own image, after the image of Himself and God the Father. It’s that simple.

 (7:13) That’s the plain truth. The plain truth is so wonderful that I can’t understand why after you listen to it and you prove it to yourself when you open the Bible and know what to read and read the whole thing and take it as a whole that that is not better than anything you have ever been taught in any of the churches that you go to that gives you one lie upon another lie and trying to indoctrinate you. They try to indoctrinate you into a man’s religion and not the religion or the faith that God wants you to have.

March 20th, the spring equinox, is God’s new year. So in 14 days we’re going to have a Passover, and in 15 days we’re going to have the Feast of Unleavened Bread, where there’s no yeast in our homes. If you want to follow and obey God then the end of that is going to be the last, I’m sorry, what’s called the Feast of Firstfruits, when it symbolizes Christ is our Firstfruits. You read that in the Bible. He’s the firstborn of the dead. He’s the first person to be born again. I know people want to think born again is some religious experience, that when they accept Christ, they’re born again. Now Christ, in the third chapter of John, makes it clear a person who is flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. What is flesh is flesh, what is spirit is spirit. He said, if you’re born of the spirit, you’re like the wind. No one can see you, but they can hear you, or they can feel your presence, but you’re invisible. I don’t know of any born-again Christian who claims to be born again is invisible. Listen to the words, or read the words, however you want to in the Bible and believe what you read and don’t believe what people tell you to believe.

(8:15) So this is the wrap-up of this holy week, this holy month beginning, and it continues for another, you know, about 21, 22 days.

(9:47) Well, we’re back, going to go over the week, and a lot of things are going on this week that just has not really been covered. We covered a little bit on The Plain Truth, not as much as I really wanted to, but to be frank, I’ve been busy with many things, including doing the shows for the New Year and preparing for the Passover, plus I have a real job during the week of running a paint company.

(10:32) Some things happened this week that I think we should talk about. Several weeks ago, I had predicted what was going on with President Trump in Ukraine and Russia and Europe was going to maybe end with the United States being thrown out of NATO. When I said that, I think many people who were listening probably did not understand that this would happen as quickly or even that it would happen at all. But this week, we’ve had people in NATO, in Europe, who are talking about censoring or suspending the United States’ participation in NATO, as long as President Trump continues to war, and that’s how they explain it, against the European allies, against Ukraine and for Russia, as they perceive it. Now, I’m not saying that is what President Trump is doing. Don’t take words that I say out of context. What I’m saying is the result is an unintended consequence of President Trump’s tariffs and his actions of getting hard on our allies. I’m not saying that some of this stuff is not needed. What I am saying is that the unintended consequence could be what is going to happen, according to your Bible, is a reunification of the Holy Roman Empire in the heart of Europe.

 (12:08) Europe is going to be the beast that we read about in the book of Daniel and Revelation. That’s the plain truth. I can’t say that enough that Europe is really going to be the enemy of the United States and England and all parts of the lost tribes of Israel. They are the great antichrist, a great abomination that will someday cause desolation at the newly rebuilt temple in Jerusalem. They’re going to be headed by a monster called the beast, or the king of the north, as Daniel calls him and he’s going to get his power from a great false prophet. Personally this is someone whom I believe sincerely is a pope, not necessarily this pope, but a pope, because it will be a Holy Roman Empire. Their very first advent of the Holy Roman Empire was 800 AD, Christmas day, when Charlemagne crowned himself the first Holy Roman Emperor.

I find the name Charlemagne kind of interesting because if anybody knows anything about the European Union, they call the building that is their headquarters the Charlemagne building, and their newspaper they call the Charlemagne. The people of Europe are trying to form a United States of Europe to be the most dominant power in the world. And when you add Germany and all Europe together as a powerful force, they have as many people as the United States does in population, and they have much of the power and the technology that we have as well. Granted, we have much more mineral and oil and natural resources that God has blessed us with, as he promised Abraham he would bless the children of Abraham with, but Europe is going to be a powerhouse. And when a country like Europe, I’m calling it one country, the United States of Europe, when they do not have the resources, they need to make war or to be dominant, you know what they do? Well, think of Adolf Hitler.

 (13:17)  They go into the lands that have it, and they take it, and they steal it. One of the reasons maybe that Europeans are so trying to identify themselves as the protector of Ukraine is because Ukraine produces 25 percent of the wheat crop of the world. They are the breadbasket of the whole area, and Europe would like to have that under their control. Also, the rare earth materials, minerals that President Trump wants from Ukraine, well, you can bet your boots that Europe wants them as well. I think they have a plan, possibly, to get them away from us and to push us out of the European Union and NATO, and they will take over their own defense. Now, many people, many of the MAGA people, maybe even President Trump is going to think it’s a great idea that Europe finally pays their fair share.

There is a reason why the leaders of America after World War II did not want Europe reuniting and paying for their own defense, because those people, and I think rightfully so, as MacArthur in Japan was doing the same thing in that theater of war, they knew that a re-armed, reunited Germany and a re-establishment of a European central power, the United States of Europe, as I call it, many people before me have called it that. The Armstrongs actually got it from a, I can’t remember the person’s name, who first coined that phrase in, I think, 1947, the United States of Europe. They understood that a Europe under the domination of a reunified Germany could end up being another Hitler-type area, as it was in World War II. That is why we wanted to keep our troops there, and we wanted to make sure they didn’t really have that much control over their defense, because we were afraid of what they would do. I think rightfully so. I think there may be a day that we are going to wish we never forced Europe to defend themselves.

I think the result is not going to be good for the American people, for the people of England, France, the Netherlands, Denmark, all the lost tribes of Israel. We’ll see who’s right, because the Bible predicts that the Antichrist and the beast is coming out of the Holy Roman Empire, the former Roman Empire that was transformed by Charlemagne into the first Holy Roman Empire. Now, the next subject I want to get into for the week is the continued economic mess on Wall Street.

I know many people, many of the Trump supporters today, who used to tout how great Wall Street did under President Trump in 2017 and 2018 and 2019, now say Wall Street’s not important. I just find it amazing how you pick and choose what’s good for us by what’s good for President Trump. I am still a supporter of President Trump, and I know I’ve had a few, not as many as I thought I would have, which tells me something, but I’ve had a few people think that I am some closet Democrat or some anti-Trump, never-Trumper. I am not, but I am also not an ever-Trumper. I don’t think President Trump walks on water. I don’t think he has anything at all to do with being as great as some of our leaders of the past, and I believe that his arrogance, it could cause a downfall.

(18:04)  I believe his arrogance in 2018 caused his downfall when it came to impeachments, when he did not protect the House, and arrogantly said he didn’t care if he was impeached in the House, as long as he could keep the Senate from being able to remove him. That kind of arrogance, you pay consequences, and I think consequences the Americans paid was four years of Joe Biden allowed to steal the presidency in 2020 away from President Trump, and the American people have gone through hell. We have really been in, if we’re going to talk about the economy now, we have really been in, since 2020, the last year of President Trump, and all four years of Joe Biden, we have been in a recession, and if you’re out of work, a depression, as Ronald Reagan would say, for the last five years.

(19:02) We have never fully recovered from the COVID-planned-demic that was instituted by the deep state, the Democratic Party, many never-Trumpers, in order to get President Trump out of office, and to take away the populist movement in America, and put us back under the domination of globalists that have nothing but satanic evil plans for us and our future. That is why, when I say I do not want to see President Trump go the same way that he went towards the end with arrogance, is I was hoping this time around, he would realize that humbleness will get him the support he needs from the people to do the mission that God wants him to do, and that we voted for him to do. Now, one of the things I wanted to say about that is that it is important to realize, right now, the headline on Fox News, I think it was Tuesday or Wednesday of this week, is President Trump’s popularity is the most it’s ever been in his entire career as president, or as running for president. They make that like it’s some big news; President Trump is loved by the American public. But when you drill down into that poll, that they were so happily reporting that President Trump’s popularity is soaring to new heights, it’s 49% popularity. That’s what he won the presidency by in November, 49%. My friends, 49% is very dismal for a new president. As a matter of fact, since polls began, no new president, and you can do Joe Biden, pity sakes, you can do Barack Obama, the second George Bush, the first George Bush, Bill Clinton, Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Carter, LBJ, all of these people, John Kennedy, Eisenhower, Truman, you can go back as long as there’s polls. The first 100 days of a presidency, most presidents were over 70% approval ratings when they were first inaugurated president. 49% is very dismal…and it’s a warning, it should be anyway, a warning to President Trump that he is not liked, his attitude is not liked. And I want to tell you why.

I am from Connecticut, and I am from a suburb of Connecticut, really like a little mini–New York area of Connecticut. When I grew up, I ran a produce market, a farm stand, put me through college with it and also started our business today. My wife and I went back 10 years later in 1988 and reran that farm stand and made a lot of money off of New Yorkers that would come up to Lake Candlewood. They spent the money because New Yorkers don’t understand the cost of things in a rural environment and we made a lot of money selling corn and vegetables and tomatoes and squash and beans.

The idea is that New Yorkers are a unique people.

(22:05)  They’re tough, they can be swearing at you one minute, and the next minute they’re having lunch with you and you’re their best friend. That is President Trump. President Trump is the ideal New Yorker. Well, I understand New Yorkers, and I understand that there are some of the greatest people in the world. But throughout the country, New Yorkers do not play well. People in the South, for example, absolutely despise New Yorkers. People in Texas and parts of California and out in the West, they do not like New Yorkers as well. New Yorkers are very successful in New York, but many times they go elsewhere in the country and they become not successful because they are perceived to be too arrogant, too all-knowing, and too blunt. I learned a long time ago that for the most people, you want to be a diplomat when you talk to them, and you don’t really want to be very blunt.

It was explained to me that a diplomat is someone who tells you to go to hell, but he makes the trip so enjoyable, you just can’t wait to get there. That is diplomacy, and that is the art of negotiation, to tell off your rivals in a way that they don’t even understand and they start to agree with you. The master of that, in my opinion, was Ronald Reagan. Ronald Reagan, even in the debate against Walter Mondale, when he gave the famous response to the question of his age, that he would not take age as an issue because his opponent was so youthful and inexperienced, and even Walter Mondale laughed. When he laughed at that joke that Ronald Reagan gave, every pundit knew Mondale lost the debate there and lost any chance of being able to beat Ronald Reagan after that debate. That is a person who knew how to debate, he knew how to talk to people, and he knew how to win people who didn’t agree with him on his side.

That is what we really need from President Trump.

We need a little less New York and a lot more diplomacy. And unfortunately, he has decided this time around, unlike last time around, to make enemies of our natural allies. And I don’t think it’s going to play well, and I think the unintended consequences are going to harm us. Another note on the economy is I’ve told you for two years now, I think this show is about two years old, and I told you two years ago I was buying gold whenever I could afford it. When I was buying gold, it was going for $1,718 and $1,900 an ounce.

(24:04) This week, gold surpassed $3,050 an ounce. I actually think if President Trump does not change direction with these tariffs, we will see $3,500 gold by December. Now, if President Trump can muster a great economy out of this, he can get that tax bill through. The most important thing that can happen in the next three months is the Republican Congress and President Trump extends the Trump taxes of 2017, and everybody who pays into taxes, which is the majority of the middle class, not the lower class, but the middle class, that’s who it will help. The middle class right now is hurting. I’m in a business that sells mainly to middle-class customers who buy automotive paint to paint cars and paint their neighbors’ cars or have a small body shop, and they are hurting.

(25:25) They can’t afford the price of paint, and I’m half the price of the big guys. And what’s happening is the great middle class of this country is hurting like they have not hurt since the 1970s, and it has not yet gone away. And until it goes away, this economy is going to continue to stall, Wall Street is going to continue to fall, but if President Trump can get this tax bill through and he can kind of put these tariffs on the back burner and win some concessions, you know, be a little diplomat here and win some concessions from our allies on tariffs and let everybody win. You know, part of the idea of negotiation, President Trump’s supposed to be this great negotiator. Well, he’s a New York negotiator who pounds a hammer over your head, and it works in New York, but it doesn’t work in most negotiations. Most of the time, I’m sure you’ve heard this term, when you negotiate with someone, you want to do a win-win. You want to win what you want, but you want the person you’re negotiating with to at least think he won what he wanted, and that is the proper way of negotiating a contract. And if President Trump backs off a little bit and helps Canada and helps Mexico find a common solution and this tax bill gets through, we are going to see an economy by July, maybe August, that’s going to be the biggest economy that we’ve seen and even bigger than Ronald Reagan’s economy. That is what’s at stake here.

(27:08) We have the ability, and President Trump still has the ability, to make this country what he wants it to be, but it has to be done by saving the middle class from poverty. Well, that’s enough of that. We’re going to talk about the week with the economy and President Trump and arrogance and everything else.

Tonight and tomorrow, we have shows lined up. Tomorrow morning for the Sabbath show, 7-11 tomorrow morning, we’re actually going to have a reading of the book of Hebrews, and it’s a phenomenal, great listen. Listen to it. I think it’s about 45 minutes long, and you will hear word for word of what’s in the Bible. If you sit there and you just listen to it, and I did it with a better English version that’s more, less these and more, I understand, that you’re going to be shocked at what the book of Hebrews says. If you listen to it carefully, every single word, and believe the words are the words of God, you’re going to find out that people that your church has told you went to heaven are dead and are awaiting a resurrection. You’re going to find that in the book of Hebrews. It’s a very important book, and that’s going to be Saturday morning show. Saturday night, we have a little, you know, Saturday nights, we do entertainment, we do short stories, or we do old-time radio shows.

 (29:29) Well, this Saturday night, we’re going to do something that’s really intriguing. I have found on YouTube the very first midnight special TV show. People do not know this today probably, but before there was Saturday night live, Saturday night on NBC, there was Don Kirshner’s midnight special, and it started, and it ran for about four years, and Saturday night live actually was the name of an ABC show running in the slot at 11:30 at night, or maybe it was at 10 o’clock at night with Howard Cosell as the emcee, and that show bombed, and NBC was able to get the name Saturday night live away from ABC. I think there was an agreement there. I don’t know the whole story. It’d be an interesting story, and so Saturday night live was born, and it replaced the midnight special, but the midnight special was very big when it was out. It was the top rock artist, and the very first one was John Denver, Linda Ronstadt, the Everly Brothers, and we’re going to play the entire show Saturday night, and I think you’ll see, especially if you’re my age, and a lot of the people listening I think are about my age, it will bring back memories of Saturday night before Saturday night live.
