The Plain Truth is so Happy That You Have Been Enjoying Bob’s Broadcasts.
2000 years ago, a newscaster that we know of as Jesus Christ warned us about false Christianity. The warning was not against the devil but against false Christianity…about people who come in His name and deceive many.

Hello, Bob Barney on location in Lake Wormwog, Connecticut. Welcome to the last day of the Feast of Tabernacles and tomorrow we’ll have another special show on the last great day, which is actually the eighth day of the Feast of Tabernacles. This is The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com, the one place to go to to get today’s news and what it may mean for your future and the future of your loved ones.
Pardon me today, I am doing a live location here outside this morning on Lake Wormwog. Beautiful, beautiful scenery here next to the Hopkins Inn and I’m also a little under some pain because I’ve had a sciatic back pain now for this is I think my eighth day and it’s getting worse and worse each day. I’m doing the stretching you’re supposed to do, but it’s probably not working right yet and it’s real change for me because I have been doing a very good job exercising every day and going into the sauna when I was at home and this thing just hit me like a slug of rocks.
So a little bit of pain in the show, but as Paul said, when he had some pain and he prayed for God to take it away and God would not and God said he was going to stick to that circumstance, I guess I have to stick here for a little bit longer. Well, what I wanted to finish up with the day of this seventh day of the Feast of Tabernacles is this is the day that draws to a close. It’s not a day that you have a holy convocation or a church service like the first day of this feast or like tomorrow when you’re to have one because it’s the last great day.
This just signifies the end of the millennial. The millennial time is running out and the tomorrow will symbolize, of course, and we’ll get into a little bit more tomorrow, but I’ve said this throughout this whole feast week, tomorrow will symbolize when there is a new heaven and a new earth and God the Father comes and lives with his creation here on a new earth, which will also include the new heaven and we’ll all be here where we’re standing. We don’t go to heaven when we die, we stay here into the ground on the good old earth where we’re going to rule for a thousand years with Christ if we are Christians and then comes the final resurrection of the dead who are not Christian and their judgment and then the great last day when God the Father joins us.
This is the reason we’re supposed to be following these holidays and not the pagan holidays that everyone is following like Christmas and Easter and the rest. When you follow God’s holidays you understand God’s plan for you and when you understand the great plan of your future, what is available for you in the future, what your purpose is on this earth, why you were placed here, who made you, what could be your eternity and how it can be spent. When you get to realize that and you do so through these holidays, when you follow the correct holidays of God, what you will find is that your purpose is much better than any church is teaching you what your purpose is going to be.
You’re not going to go to heaven when you die and watch your loved ones suffer here on earth and go through misery and pain or through the tribulation that’s yet to come. No, you’re lying in a grave and you’re awaiting a resurrection of the dead. Read 1 Corinthians chapter 15 and Revelation 20 through the end of Revelation and you can see the whole plan of God summarized for your future.
You’re going to die, you’re going to rest in the ground and then at the last trump as Christ is returning to this earth, you’re going to raise from the dead. If you’re a Christian, first you’re going to raise to the death, you’re going to meet Christ in the clouds and you’re going to come to earth to help him conquer the devil and abound him for a thousand years and reign over a physical earth with physical people on it that survived the tribulation and therefore you are going to be God’s. That’s the simple, plain truth and that’s something that I know when people hear this, they think it’s blasphemy. It is not. Your destiny is to be the physical, spiritual brother of Christ and the son of God, the father or the daughter. When I say son, I mean son and daughter.
This is the same promise for women as it is for men. Remember, Christ made it clear that in the beginning, man and women were equal. Woman’s sin, Eve’s sin, lowered the rank of a woman to under the man’s influence in a marriage and that’s what it was about. But in the resurrection, you’re equal. You’re back to the garden. You’re back to a state where you have the same rank as any man, but in the order of importance because there are going to be other importance. You know, the disciples or the apostles are going to be over the 12 tribes of Israel and David’s going to be over them and then Christ is over them during the millennium as the God of this earth. But women and men will be totally equal when they are resurrected from the dead. They become gods.
They are the children of God and they will inherit everything that God inherits or has. This is your great destiny and that’s what these holy days symbolize. And really, this is not religion. This is not church. This is not what you, we’re not trying to be a religion or a church for you. We are trying to be a news organization and any good news organization is going to give you the plain truth of the news. And there is no greater news or newsmaker than God the Father and God Jesus Christ. And they have a message. It’s called the gospel. And I say this over and over again. Gospel is just old English for the modern term, good news. Jesus was a newscaster.
The apostles were newscasters. Yes, they were religious people as well and they had a church that they were doing. I do not.I’m a newsman. I’m trying to bring you the news of the gospel. But the gospel is real.So therefore, it’s part of the news. And the plain truth is trying to give you all the news you need to know, today’s news as well as yesterday’s news and what it may mean for the future. And of course, the greatest news story that will ever be that God is coming to live with mankind. It’s the breaking news that we will live under the influence of God and not Satan’s right now. This is Satan’s world and Satan’s world is not a good place to live. And that is why Christ keeps saying over and over again, when you read the gospels, he is not of this world and his people are not of this world. We are already in a heavenly kingdom world, even though we’re physically on this earth. But in our minds and in our spirit, we’re trying to think of the heavenly and spiritual things that is to come, that we are to share together with God the Father and Jesus Christ, Lord of Lords and King of Kings. And again, these holidays point to that.
And that is why these holidays are news. They’re simply not just something you go to church to listen to on a Sunday when you’re supposed to go on a Saturday. Anyway, what we call the Sabbath day is really what people call Saturday, but it’s the Sabbath day, the seventh day that God told everyone to rest from his creation.Remember, this was the Sabbath was created at least at the Garden of Eden at the creation of man. And most theologians thinks it was the first law ever even established in heaven, that there was a Sabbath for zillions of years, long before there was an earth. And so I hope that people can, in the future, I know many people listen to this for the first time, know nothing about the Feast of Tabernacles, or if they did, didn’t know when it really was, or what you’re supposed to do or what it all means.
And so this is, like I said, this is part of the news. There’s going to be one again next year at the same time, start September 30th, ends today and then tomorrow, which I believe is the seventh. I may be wrong.I think it’s the seventh of October is the great last day every single year. And so you can start today planning to do something next year. Let’s say you do not have a lot of money and you can’t go on vacation to Lake Wormwog or something like that. And you want to do it at home. Well, we’ve done it many years at home because we couldn’t leave work or we didn’t have the money. And we would just go to another room in our house where we’re not normally there, a temporary room and sleep there for the seven or eight days of the feast and stay in our house.
Originally, if you read up on the Feast of Shelters, it’s just called, or the Feast of Booths or the Feast of Tabernacles, you would see that in ancient Israel, people would not leave their homes for the tabernacles. They would actually build a tent, a tabernacle or a booth on top of their house. They had flat homes or in their yard or in their courtyard, they’d build some kind of a tent or a booth or a shelter, a lot of times made out of tree branches, like palm tree branches. And they would live in that for the seven, eight days, seven or eight days of the Feast of Tabernacles. And so they never left her home. And they would just on the first day and on the eighth day, they would go to the temple and they would worship the Lord, their God on those days and have a holy assembly. And that is what we’re supposed to do. So what I would suggest is, of course, if you couldn’t do it this year, plan on it for next year. The holidays stay stable, unlike the Jewish calendar that most of the even Sabbath day Christians try to follow, which is just simply not biblical.
And when you follow the solar calendar that God instituted right from the beginning of the earth and reinstituted under Noah and reinstituted again, in my opinion, with Moses and will reinstitute again when Christ returns to this earth, to the real calendar, unlike the Jewish calendar, where the days move throughout the months and you can’t really figure out, no, when is Passover next year in the Jewish calendar? Well, you’ve got to go to a calendar to look because it changes all the time because they’re following a moon, a lunar calendar, which is just not biblical. And any good commentary, especially the plain truths, red letter Bible in the original order is meant to be read. The notes will just prove to you that the day begins the morning, not the evening.
That’s a Babylonian thing. And that the spring equinox every year begins God’s calendar of 360 days until that year ends. And there is five to six, no days counted on a calendar to make up the lost time the earth has slowed down, probably since the flood to 365 and a quarter day versus the 360 days that it used to rotate. And so some years it’s five days you have to add before this equinox, some years it’s six days because every four years there’s a six, the earth is 366 days long to get equal again. But God’s calendar is never off one day. It always starts on the same exact spot between the sun and the earth with the equinox. It always ends at the same time and begins. So the holidays always fall in the exact spot in the celestial world every year without exception. Remember God creates in perfection.
He does not create in confusion. And the Jewish calendar is a calendar of confusion. And God is nothing, is not the author of confusion and has nothing to do with that calendar. Came from Babylon and unfortunately all the religions today basically that you know, I don’t care if you think it’s the Jewish religion or the Orthodox Jewish religion or the modern Jewish religion or the Sadducees religion or the religion of the Pharisees or the Catholics or the Greeks or the Protestants, they’re all based on Babylonian mystery religion. None of them are really based in the true religion of Jesus Christ that he brought to this earth many years before he came to this earth with mosaic law and then his arrival on this earth as a human being to take away our sins, to do what Adam could not do and qualify to become king of this earth and take that kingship away from Satan. Yes, your Bible says that the God of this world is none other than Lucifer, Satan the devil.
And Christ came to dethrone him of that title. And when he returns, he will return as the king of kings and the Lord of lords and replace Satan, grab Satan and unbind him and throw him into a pit for a thousand years so that the world will no longer be deceived. And Christians who have been dead in a grave will be resurrected to life to meet Christ when he’s returning and they would, Christ, will reign over this earth for a thousand years, the same earth you’re standing on today, no change to it. And the earth will heal of its wounds of wars and pollution, and all the things mankind has done to destroy this great earth. And the earth will heal itself. And for a thousand years, there will be peace and tranquility until the very last of the thousand years. And you can read in Revelation what happens after that. That is the purpose of these holy days. That is the purpose that we’re trying to follow them.
So next year, my suggestion is let’s try to plan for the next holy days for the next year, because this year is holy day-wise other than the Sabbath day. Remember, the most important holy day happens 52 weeks a year, and that is the Saturday Sabbath day. That is holier than the day of atonement, contrary to what Jews want to tell you. The most holy day in God’s world is every single seventh day Sabbath. That’s the most holy time. It’s the time the Ten Commandments says you must observe the Sabbath day. It does not say you must observe the Feast of Tabernacles, though we know that in the Bible, in the Old Testament of the Bible, we read in prophecy of the future when Christ returns to this earth that God, Christ that is, will punish Egypt because they will refuse to go to the Feast of Tabernacles. Do you know, according to prophecy, the very first celebration that’s going to happen when Christ takes over this earth during the beginning of the millennium is a Feast of Tabernacles? You can read that. I’ll go over that tomorrow for the last great day.
I have a little study notes for you, but this is just to get you wondering and if you don’t know this story. But Egypt, for example, refuses to appear in Jerusalem for the very first Feast of Tabernacles, and Christ, who is now Lord of Lords and King of Kings over this world, will come down on Egypt with all his wrath, and they will suffer immensely because they did not come. It is going to be a requirement in the millennium to follow the Feast of Tabernacles, a requirement, as will be for Passover and Pentecost and a Day of Atonement and the Feast of Trumpets. These holidays will be required. It won’t be elective. It will be required. And if those people like Egypt refuses to follow what they’re told they have to do, they will be severely punished. And we’ll go over that a little bit more tomorrow, but you should be aware that these holidays are returning during the millennium. You will not have a Christmas.
You will not have an Easter during the millennium, just to let you know that right now. That’s not going to happen, and you’re not going to be us giving Christmas presents to one another. It’s pagan. So let’s plan next year to do the holidays right. So we know, there’s a bird calling here. I’m outside our porch looking at the lake. So next year on March 20th, you will have the equinox, first day of the year, the first day of the first month. Then on the night of April 2nd will be the night of Passover. On the day of April 3rd will be the day of Passover, beginning the Feast of Unleavened Bread. And then you have first fruits. And then 50 days later, on May 29th, you have Pentecost. And then you go all the way to the seventh month, which is September 16th, when you have the Feast of Trumpets.
And then 10 days later, on the evening of the 24th of September and the 25th day of September, you have the Day of Atonement, when you should fast. And starting on the 29th of September, all the way up until the 7th of October is the Feast of Tabernacles. And so starting this day or tomorrow or the next few months, you can start planning where are you going to have your Passover, Pentecost, and the Feast of Tabernacles and the Day of Atonement. Now, most people are going to have them at home. The only time I would suggest you sleep in a different room, if at all possible, or even your living room would be during the Feast of Tabernacles. And there’s a reason for this. And it’s the last thing we’re going to explain today, and maybe a little tomorrow as well. What is the reason for sleeping in tents? I haven’t really mentioned that, because if you watch the other videos that we’ve had about the Feast of Tabernacles from, like, the United Church of God and other sources, you will see the reason you are to sleep in tents. Because tents are temporary dwellings that you’re supposed to live in.
And that symbolizes your body, which is a temporary body that your soul is living in. Not your immortal soul, your soul to come, your living being is in a temporary physical body. And you are living in that temporary physical body until you are resurrected from the dead, that’s the born-again experience, when you rise to meet Christ in the air at the beginning of the millennium. And then you put on a new body, a spiritual body, and not this temporary, short-term, physical human body, which gets old, it gets backaches like I have right today, it becomes lame with arthritis. This will not happen in the world to come with your spiritual body, where you have no pain, no arthritis, no problems, no medical issues that this temporary body gives you. So when you live in tents, or booths of some sort, when you don’t live in your normal place, it’s reminding you that this body you’re living in, this life you’re living in today is temporary, just like a tent would be temporary. And all the things that can go wrong with a tent that doesn’t happen to your home signifies what can happen to your body that cannot happen to your future body in spirit. You know, you live in a tent, a storm comes through, a windstorm comes through, you know, your tent might fall down, your shelter may collapse a little bit, and you’ve got to rebuild it from time to time. Well, that doesn’t happen in your home for the most part.
And so when you live in temporary dwellings or a temporary place, it reminds you about your body. And that’s why you’re supposed to follow the Feast of Tabernacles. It’s the feast that is a feast of your body. It’s the feast to show you that your body is temporal, it’s not going to last for very long, and your only hope is that you’re going to get rid of this body after you’re dead. And some people, if they’re alive during the tribulation at the return of Christ in 1 Corinthians 15, you see you instantly are changed into spiritual. You don’t even experience the death and the resurrection from the dead from a grave that most Christians will have to experience. But this celebration of the Feast of Tabernacles, you are celebrating the end of a painful body, and that someday you’re going to have a brand new spiritual body that will never feel pain, never wear out, never get arthritis, diabetes, and all of these heart diseases. All of this stuff is to remind you that we are just like a brief miss in the morning. And we come before sunrise, and by 10 o’clock in the morning, we’re gone.
And in God’s world, we are so temporary, so short-lived in respect to the age of the earth and the age of mankind that we’re here for 70, 80 years if we’re lucky, 90 if we’re really lucky, or a little beyond. But for the most part, our life is just a brief moment. And as you approach your elder years, as I have, and I’m 70 years old now, and you think back when you were 20, and you can remember how short your life really was before you were 20, and a few years later, you were 60, and a few years later, you were 70.And then you really understand just how short your life is, and how long your sleep in a grave could be before you come back to life again, hopefully as a spiritual God, as you were intended to do, as God’s plan is for all mankind. Everyone, except for those who reject it, or have rejected it, everyone will have a chance to become sons and daughters of the living God, and brothers and sisters of Christ. That is a wonderful message.
And The Plain Truth, we’re going to finish up today just talking about theplaintruth.com, plus these broadcasts. Our mission, which we take upon ourselves, is to educate people about the plan of God, because it’s part of the news that you are reading or listening to every day that is just simply not explained to you that God is real, and God has a plan that’s going to work out. It’s part of the news. It’s going to happen. You want to read tomorrow’s headlines? Read the prophecies of the Bible. When it says, this is going to happen, and you know it’s going to happen in the future, that’s a headline someday that’s going to be on your TV, if there’s TVs then, or your newspaper, if there’s newspapers at the time, whatever news media there will be. It will be the greatest news of the day. It won’t be what Donald Trump did with Venezuela, or what Joe Biden did, or what the next president does, anything happens. It won’t be the explosion of a gas refinery.
No, it’ll be the return of Jesus Christ will be the dominant news for the entire world. And I got news for you, after the tribulation and the near destruction of this earth by mankind through nuclear weapons and who knows what other weapons at the time, that the whole world will be happy as can be finally to see that they are going to survive and not destroy themselves when Christ returns to this earth and saves us from ourselves. And that is the good news. And the gospel again means the good news. The good news is we are not going to do what so many people fear is going to be the case for mankind. We are not going to blow up this world. We are not going to destroy ourselves. But many people, probably 90% of the people alive during the time of the tribulation and right before the return of Christ are going to die. They’re going to die horrible, miserable deaths, but they will have a chance to return. And that many of those who’s going to die are going to be Christian martyrs. Just because you’re a Christian, that does not mean you’re not going through the tribulation. There is no rapture.
There is no such thing as a rapture of the saints. The saints go through the tribulation if they’re alive during it, or they may be martyred during it, but they go through what everybody else goes through, except they will have God on their side and the rest of the world will not. My friends, you need to have God on your side. You have to have God in your heart, in your minds, and in your daily life. It’s not a once-a-week thing that you don’t think, you think of God and read a few hymns in the hymnal or listen to some preacher preach the gospel, which they don’t even know what they’re doing. That’s not what it’s about. Following Jesus Christ and God the Father is a daily journey, not a weekly journey or not a twice a year Christmas and Easter journey. Following God, being a true Christian, having the chance of eternal life as God’s children only is available to those who make their life every single day a part of God’s world. You are now a part of God’s family when you’re a Christian, even though you’re on this earth, and your job every day is to keep praying to God, to keep trying to follow God’s ways as best you can, and realizing you’re always going to fail in the long run, but Jesus is always going to defend you in heaven and bring you to what your destiny is, eternal life as God in the world to come.
This is Bob Barney for The Plain Truth today, saying thank you. I hope you have a blessed feast if you’ve taken it time and done so this year. I do, like I said, hope everybody does it next year and starts planning, starting today or tomorrow, start planning for next year’s holidays. Till tomorrow on the eighth day, the last great day of the feast, Bob Barney saying goodbye, friends.
