Is America headed for a civil war? This is a subject that the Plain Truth has had many articles about over the last 15 years.

Hi, this is Bob Barney and today’s show we’re going to talk about the lawlessness in America and the dissension amongst the different groups of people in America and the rights, the Bill of Rights, the history of freedom and liberty and what it all means for the future and your future because the truth is that it is possible that we are seeing what Barack Obama called a fundamental change in America which will not be good for the individual at all if the Democrats and many Republicans get their way. There was a case, I’m going to start in a little history lesson.There was a case called PACA versus Connecticut in the 1920s, I think it was 1927, which the state of Connecticut arrested a man for first-degree murder of two cops and he was found innocent by a jury and Connecticut did not like the results of the decision and they retried him and found him guilty in a second trial and of course his lawyer appealed all the way to the Supreme Court that this is double jeopardy. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights specifically says that a citizen cannot be tried twice for the same crime. The contention of the Connecticut Supreme Court was that the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution did not apply to the state governments, only the federal government.

3:23 Can you believe that in 1930, for example, all the way until 1969, and I’ll get into this in a minute, but from the founding of this country all the way up until 1969, it was better for you to live in a territory of the United States than a state. You actually had more rights living in, let’s say, the territory of Wyoming than you would ever have in the state of Wyoming because if you lived in a territory, the federal government’s laws were in force, but if you lived in a state, state law took precedence over federal law, including the Bill of Rights, and that is very disturbing because poor PACA fought this case all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court in a very famous decision that said that the Connecticut was right, double jeopardy did not apply to state government, and that the Bill of Rights did not apply to state government, which means you didn’t have a right to bear arms and any state wanted to outlaw that. You wouldn’t have the right for free speech. You wouldn’t have the right to free press in any state if the state outlawed such things, and the Supreme Court at the time agreed with this decision, and it took until 1969, Benton v. Maryland, I believe, that this was actually reversed by the Supreme Court and said that all of the Bill of Rights applied to state and local governments as well as to the federal government, and that was the right decision even though it was a very liberal court in 1969, but it was the absolute right decision to make. The idea that this man was convicted after being acquitted and then died, and he did die, he was executed for the crime, and did not have the protection of the Bill of Rights, and there’s a story here that is very important to learn. If we don’t learn from our history, we are going to repeat it again, and all the mistakes are going to happen again, and I’m afraid that is what we’re learning right now, or we’re not learning maybe, is that we are repeating history, and we’re repeating the bad parts of history.

5:59 You see, the Bill of Rights was intended for all Americans, be it they live in a state or they lived in the federal government territories, and that you have a right to free speech. You have a right to a free press. You have a right of the religion of your choice, and you had a right against incriminating yourself or double jeopardy of being tried more than once until the state got the conviction that it wanted, and it’s a sore example of how the court system can be good or it can really be bad for the liberty of Americans. We saw this actually with the Donald Trump trials back in 2020, 2021, all the way up to the election, basically, where you had lawfare against Donald Trump, where Donald Trump was simply not given his constitutional rights that the Bill of Rights protects him from, and we see what happens when politics takes over the judiciary system. We have that going on now, unfortunately, with Donald Trump on the opposite side doing the same thing back that was done to him. It was not right when it was done to him, but somehow many Donald Trump backers think it’s okay if he does it to the other side, and it’s not.We have to follow the Bill of Rights. We have to follow the Constitution. We have to follow the American way of life being the American way of government based on a constitutional republic by the Constitution of the United States, along with the amendments to that Constitution, and simply the case that we cannot deny one side rights, and then the other side, we can give them whatever they want when they’re in power, and that’s what we’re seeing now, and it’s a shame.

8:59 There is a reason why, when you look at the Statue of Liberty at a courthouse, you see a woman holding a scale in her hands with a blindfold on, because justice is supposed to be blind. It shouldn’t know if you’re black or white. It shouldn’t know if you’re a male or female. It shouldn’t know anything but the facts of the case. Now, at the same time, some of the things that the courts do today, which is just equally as bad, is they do not allow the jurors to know the truth about a defendant or a potential murderer or rapist or whatever, and they withhold from the jury things that they say would prejudice the jury against a conviction. Well, if a person, for example, is accused of raping a 16-year-old and trying to murder her, and he had history of doing it to five other girls, that should be allowed, but there are times judges do not allow such situations to occur, and a jury just simply does not always have the truth, and it’s bad for our justice system, but for the most part, this country is the country that it is because we are not a lawless country. We were based on laws. We were based on old English laws, and we were based on biblical laws, and that’s something that I think it’s quite important that we swallow that right now and understand that most of the English law and the law that we follow today was really based on biblical law, Old Testament biblical law that everybody thinks has been done away with when they’re a Christian. They want you to have legality when it comes to buying a house or buying a car or paying off a loan, but they don’t want to have any legality when it comes to following God or following Jesus Christ. When you think about it, it seems pretty preposterous, but that is what unfortunately so many people believe today, and so even our church leaders that teach lawlessness when it comes to following Christ and obeying the laws of God that are found in the Bible, that is leading to the lawlessness that we’re seeing today in our streets where there’s riots and there’s burning down of buildings and cars and whatnot, and then shootings of politicians that you don’t like. Vigilantism is on the way up, and some of this, I will tell you right now, is the politicians’ fault. They have neglected the needs of the average middle-class Americans now for some 45, 50 years, and now, as Barack Obama’s minister said, the chickens are coming home to roost, even on these politicians.

If we like somebody, we find them not guilty, and that is not the way that it was intended to be by our forefathers before us, or what the law really means. So the reaction to this lawlessness is going to be, in my opinion, either Americans getting together and voting these people out, but that’s going to take a long time to get people out of the court system, because many are appointed for life.

14:30 But my fear, and I think the rational fear, is that what is going to happen is there is going to be mob rule taking over, where the masses are going to reject the Democrats and even the RINO Republicans’ lawless attitude, and they’re going to take the law into their own hands, and they’re going to mete out justice in a way that is not going to be good for America. And it is possible, as Pat Buchanan predicted almost 15 years ago, maybe longer, that the Balkanization of America may occur. And what the Balkanization of America means is like the Balkan states, where they were once Yugoslavia, and they broke up into many smaller countries because they were different peoples that could not agree on anything. There was a great Muslim population and a great Orthodox Christian population that could not get along. There were mass slaughters between the two populations against each other, and they fell apart into all kinds of minor countries. And Pat Buchanan thought if America cannot get together and agree on basic principles of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, then America was going to find itself in the same shape that Yugoslavia found itself in in the 1980s, and that is being broken up into many other countries. There are people today who believe, and I am one of them that thinks this is a possibility, that America could break up into three or even four different countries in the future. There could be a new civil war breaking out where states who are sick and tired of the liberal lawless rule of their politicians in Washington are going to take action, revolutionary type, civil war type action, and force a war with our own military like what happened in the Civil War between the North and the South. This time I think it’s going to be the East Coast, West Coast versus the Central America Coast, and I mean not only Central America is Latin America.

I’m talking about Missouri, Texas, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, and yes Colorado has some liberal areas in it, but the state itself is mainly a very conservative population in the rest of the state other than around Denver. And you may see that states begin to actually talk about succeeding from the Union, and we are going to have a bloody civil war if people in the leadership of this country does not wake up and understand that we are on the verge of absolute total collapse, which by the way our enemies will enjoy, which then makes you wonder the people that are taking us to this brink, the Democrats mainly, all the Democrats, and half the Republicans at least, that are taking us to this brink that we are, are not really on the payroll of foreign governments that want to see the destruction of America. We have enemies all over the world, and I’m not one who believes that Russia and China are our biggest enemies like you’re being fed on TV.I know who our enemy is going to be eventually from reading the Bible and understanding who the players are in the Bible, which we have talked about many times over and over again. The end time players of course is the King of the North, which is a reunified Holy Roman Empire of Europe, the King of the South, which is a great United States of Islam, North Africa to the Middle East Arab nations, and then there is this power from the Orient, which seems to be China, but it is my opinion it will be a China dominated by a re-armed Japan, a la World War II. But right now you have to wonder if these politicians in Washington are not on some other government’s payroll to do us harm. The people trying to do us the most harm today are certain Muslim states like Iran, for example, or Hamas in Israel, because I’m not going to call it their homeland, because it is not their homeland. Israel is the, and it really should be called Judah as we talked about in earlier programs, because Israel belongs to the United States of America, and England, and the lost tribes. Judah was the southern tribe that was taken into captivity by the Babylonians, and so the modern-day Israel should really be called the modern-day state of Judah.

18:29 But the property of the whole area, really, from the Sinai all the way to Lebanon, all the way is to the West Bank, really belongs to Judah, to the Jews, and that is the way God intends it, and it will end up being that way in the future. So yes, we have enemies that want to see the destruction of America who have a lot of money, the oil money from the, a lot of the Muslim nations have a lot of oil money, and they have a lot of money that supports terrorism against the Jews, and especially against the Americans. And it is quite clear, in my opinion, that many of our politicians are traitors when it comes to taking money from foreign governments. We already know Joe Biden took money from both Ukraine and Russia, and a lot of money from China. This is treason. He’s a politician. He was vice president of the United States, and his position was being bought and paid for by foreign governments. This is classic treason, and that’s really, there’s nothing else you can call it. So we have leaders selling us out, and we have American people asleep at the switch. Basically, the rest of the world is waking up to the tyranny going around them. You have farmers marching in Netherlands, in France, in Greece, in Italy, in Germany, all over Europe, protesting with their tractors. The liberal governments that have tried to outlaw farming, because they want people to starve to death, obviously, outlaw farming techniques in Europe.

And these citizens, these citizen farmers are raising their hands against this and taking their tractors to the streets and protesting what is going on in Europe. What will result in Europe out of this is going to be a man who brings law and order to Europe. But unfortunately, this man is going to be an antichrist figure, a man of lawlessness eventually, and with his power coming from the Holy Roman Church. And that is prophecy, that is prophecy of Daniel, and that is prophecy of Revelation, and that is going to be the end time beast government, which is going to be in Europe, which is not going to be friendly to any America, if we are even in existence at the time. But right now, we are in a bad shape as a country, because of a minority. We are led to believe by the mainstream media that it’s a majority, but it is a minority of Americans who are ultra left, who are communist, who want to see the destruction of America, to turn America into a communist nation with a total leader like Mao or Stalin. That’s really what communism is. Communism is not a collection of people making their decisions. It is really another form of totalitarian government with an elite class having their will over the rest of us, and that is what they are for. But the amount of people in America looking for that, I don’t believe it’s 5 or 10 percent. It’s like the homosexuality of America and transgender and all this nonsense, which is just absolute bull you’re being fed. 2 percent of the people is always going to be homosexual, basically, by science and by all testing up until recently. You don’t have 30, 40 percent of the people being bisexual, homosexual. It’s being taught, and they’re trying to make that 2 percent become 4 or 5 percent, but most likely that won’t even happen. It’s a total lie you’re being fed, just like the lie that most Americans want socialism, which is really another nice name for communism. They do not. The problem is the majority, as Nixon would call the great silent majority, are too silent, and therefore this minority, this very vocal minority, is gaining control over our government, over our court system, over our factories and big businesses and big pharma and big medicine and big media, and they are winning day after day, taking away your fundamental free rights, your liberty. I had a show on liberty.

23:32 The most important word of the Revolutionary War was liberty, not taxation without representation. It was mandated when the U.S. Mint began printing coins in 1794 that every coin minted by the United States government on the very front of the coin, every coin ever minted had to have the word liberty. Many people don’t know that because that is the real reason the Revolutionary War happened, because Americans, colonial Americans, wanted to be free, individually free from a king and from a foreign government, even though they considered themselves British at the time, they really collectively began to consider themselves Americans and not British, because the British were 3,000 miles away, their government and their rules happened 3,000 miles away and their liberty was at stake, and so our forefathers understood the meaning of liberty and why it is important or why it was important for them to fight a war against England to free ourselves from the tyranny of a king and of no liberty for the individual. And getting back to the original point about PACA versus Connecticut, where the Supreme Court even cited that the Bill of Rights did not apply to state governments and state court, which thankfully was overridden in 1969 in Benton versus Maryland, that the Bill of Rights do apply to any state or city in America, which was the right decision, because we are fighting for individual liberty and we have people, a minority of people, who have, because of the mainstream media, convinced you that they are a majority or a very large minority, which they are not, that want to take away your rights, they want to enslave you, imprison you, make you work for slave wages under the disguise that you belong to a union who really doesn’t represent you, they represent big business, that’s the truth, any union that claims they’re for their workers that follow and vote for a Democrat and support Democrat people who want Chinese goods over here, who want foreign trade, which the Democrats are bought and paid to give them, they are selling out their own union members. There’s not a union that I know of that the leadership is really not communist in their thinking and are selling out their own membership. Unions had a place in history and I am not anti-union, but I am anti-union leadership because I understand they are corrupt and again bought and paid for by others and they do not represent the people that they are supposed to be representing, just like your congressman does not represent you. Your congressman is representing those who give him his money to run again every two years to be re-elected, and that’s not you. That’s big business, big corporations, big pharma, big media. That’s where they get their money from and that’s who they are beholden to.

So keep reading the plain truth every day and especially when you see are we headed for a civil war because I’m afraid, my friends, that we are heading for a civil war and it’s not going to be pretty. And I’ll tell you something else for the liberals out there who are just itching to cause a civil war thinking they’re going to win easily over Bubba with his military shotguns and rifles and stuff that he has home in these citizen militias. They’re going to find a group of people, many of them veterans of wars like Vietnam or Afghanistan, who know much better than they do how to fight and these liberals who want to take control of these so-called rednecks are going to find themselves fighting an enemy that’s going to be a lot tougher than they ever planned on because they’re going to find out that these people know how to fight. And if you keep poking the dog and you keep bothering the dog, eventually that dog is going to turn around and bite you and he’s going to bite you hard and that is what’s going to happen if America’s leaders continue down this road of totalitarianism and taking away fundamental rights of all of us, including Donald Trump. And so that’s the broadcast for today. That’s at 7-Eleven p.m. On Saturdays, which is the Sabbath day, we do something a little different. 7-Eleven in the morning, we usually have some sort of a religious Sabbath type programming that explains maybe the Sabbath or maybe a holidays or maybe just a, you know, where Noah’s Ark is found was one of them. And that’s every Saturday, the Sabbath day at 7-Eleven a.m. on Saturdays. Saturday night is also a special time. There’s very no news really being brought to you on Saturday, the Sabbath day. What we do on Saturday night is either play some radio program from the 40s, 50s, or 60s sometimes, or we play a short story. The last few weeks now we’ve been doing short stories, and I think this week we’re going to probably be doing the same thing. We’re in this series of Western short stories that are very, very good.

And also on Saturday night, sometimes we’ll show old TV shows, like the old Twilight Zones and things like that. But that’s the Saturday programming on theplaintruthtoday.com that you get to by going to theplaintruthtoday.com or to theplaintruth.com and switching and clicking on the broadcast. Then Sunday, we have a morning show only, 7-Eleven in the morning, and it’s usually an hour, sometimes even longer type show that usually goes into world affairs or late breaking news, what’s happening around the world or through this country and things like that. It’s usually a, like I said, think of Face the Nation or some of these Fox News Sunday and all of those type shows. We try to find a subject that I think is very interesting or our staff think is very interesting for our listeners to watch or view or listen to. And then that’s our Sunday show. There is no other show, noontime or evening time, unless there’s some late breaking thing, which we would announce on theplaintruth.com.
