Hi, Bob Barney here with the 7:11 Short Show. Sometimes we do the half-hour shows, and I like sometimes a very short show just to get to a real point, and sometimes more people listen to that than are going to listen to a half-hour show anyway.

I want to talk to, again, the concept that we are, in America, I’m afraid, just absolutely washing away our freedoms, our liberty…what we stand for.

We understood the Democrats were doing it because that’s what they are. They’re socialists. They’re communists. That’s what they are. They’re not good for America. They haven’t been good for America, and they’re not going to be good for America when they take control, which I do believe they will do.

At the same time, when you are a party, the Republican Party, that’s supposed to be standing up for the little guy, they’re supposed to be standing up for the Constitution, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights. When you say what happened to Trump with his Mar-a-Lago raid should never happen again, and then you do the same thing to John Bolton, and let’s face it, you did it to John Bolton because he’s now an enemy. Here’s a man that you picked to be your national security advisor in the first term. Then you didn’t like his Warhawk ways. I never liked them either but at the same time, he’s not a criminal, but you were going to make him a criminal because he’s attacking you and your policies, and right now he’s hitting pay dirt because he’s got you pegged correctly with your indecision with Russia and Ukraine.

You don’t know what you’re doing, and he’s saying that, and so you made sure that your members of your Justice Department did what Biden’s people did and go invade the place of a person that is now your personal enemy, and that’s what’s going on here. People in America want to look up to you, Donald Trump. They want you to be a man who’s going to lead us like Ronald Reagan did. Ronald Reagan was a man of integrity, and he made America proud of our country again, which Democrats had almost destroyed, along with Richard Nixon, though I think Richard Nixon, again, was destroyed by Democrats that hated America more than any other cause, but Richard Nixon fell into a trap of allowing himself to overplay his hand as President of the United States. It was Richard Nixon said whatever the President does is illegal. Well, that’s not the case, and Donald Trump believes the same thing.

There was a man in the 1950s called Joseph McCarthy, a senator from Wisconsin who was very anti-communist, and actually he had a lot of good things to say and to do, but unfortunately, like Donald Trump, the man did not know when to shut up, and he was destroyed, and I’m going to play you the tape of him being destroyed in a Congressional hearing. You look at Roy Cohn’s face and you will see him go, oh my God, no, please no. But McCarthy won’t stop. He keeps attacking. I want to say, Mr. Welch, that it has been labeled long before he became a member, as early as 1944. Senator, may we not drop this? I did you, I think, no personal injury, Mr. Cohn. No, sir. And if I did, I beg your pardon. Let us not assassinate this lad further, Senator.

You’ve done enough. Have you no sense of decency, sir, at long last? Have you left no sense of decency? And that was the end of the senator from Wisconsin, Joseph McCarthy. To this day, it’s called McCarthyism, when somebody is browbeating the witnesses. I believe Joseph McCarthy was right in most of the things he was doing and saying, but he was wrong in how he went about doing it. He was an attack dog. The American public will not tolerate an attack dog. We are a moral country still. There’s enough of us. I know we’re going away from God, and I know we’re going away from the God of the Bible for especially, but there are still people in America that require the American leaders to show morality and to show compassion. And we are lacking compassion in all government. Biden wasn’t compassionate. Obama wasn’t compassionate. Ronald Reagan was compassionate. He signed checks, personal checks to people who needed money, poor people that wrote to him and never told a single soul that he did so. He would write them a check, $50, $100, $200, and never tell a soul he did it.

He didn’t do it for publicity’s sake. And he cared about people. He cared about the image of America. Have we no decency? That is the question. It destroyed Senator McCarthy. He never came back. He ended up dying over it. And I’m telling you now, if we don’t, as a country, start showing the morality that God requires us to show to our enemies, let alone our own people, then we are going to be finding we have an enemy that we cannot defeat. And that enemy is God. When God becomes your enemy, when God turns their face on you and they don’t want to see you no more, and they want to be done with you, see what happened to ancient Israel. See what happened to ancient Judah. See what happened to the kings who refused to show the compassion that the prophets warned them would happen to Israel, to Judah, to their kingdom, if they did not obey God.

God is a God of love and compassion. God cares about everyone. Every person, that starving child in Africa, or that poor kid dying in Ukraine of a gunshot blast or a bomb blast, every one of these people were made in the image of our God. God the Father and Jesus Christ made us in their image after their own likeness. That is what we are as human beings. Every human being needs to be treated appropriately that they could be a God someday, because they can be. That is our ultimate fate. That is what the Bible really promises. The Bible doesn’t promise you’re going to go to heaven when you die or hell if you’re bad and suffer. No, the Bible promises that you’re going to go into a grave when you die, you’re going to resurrect from the dead, and if you were what God wants you to be, you will have eternal life as God’s children. You will be God yourself. Well, that’s the 7-Eleven short show today.

Think about what we say, what we do, and what we stand for, because if we don’t stand for morality, we stand for nothing. Bob Barney, thank you for listening. Bye-bye.
