The Plain Truth is so Happy That You Have Been Enjoying Bob’s Broadcasts.
2000 years ago, a newscaster that we know of as Jesus Christ warned us about false Christianity. The warning was not against the devil but against false Christianity…about people who come in His name and deceive many.

Are we really living longer than our ancestors? Is it true that the chances of living past 40, 200 years ago was nil and that because of our modern society today we live much longer than the people before us? Hi, this is Bob Barney with The Plain Truth Today and today’s broadcast is really about the lie about life expectancy. Now, granted, if you use statistics to prove that we are living longer, it is very easy to use those statistics. For example, the average lifespan today, I believe, is somewhere around 76 years old for a man and about 81 years old for a woman. Yet, if you go to graveyards from the 1700s, from the 1800s, from the 1900s, you will find out that many people from those years lived in their 70s, 80s, even 90s. It seems like we have been fed a lie about life expectancy and here’s the reason why, or I’ll get into the reason why. It is true because of modern medicine that people, on average, live longer. And let me explain the statistics of averaging. Many women of the past, who, if they didn’t have 11, 12, 13 children and died in childbirth in their 40s, would have probably lived to be 80 to 90 years old, just like today. So, one of the things that has improved life expectancy is the ability for modern medicine to keep people alive when complications happen. Many people died of disease in their younger years that would, again, if antibiotics were available, would have lived in their 70s, 80s, or 90s. Many people die in the past because there was not antibiotics, there was not modern medicine. People in bad accidents didn’t have triage type medicine that kept you alive.
You know, I read a report that just as many people should have died in the Afghanistan war that died in Vietnam, but because the triage medicine was so much superior by the time of the Gulf Wars that we have, instead of 59,000 dead soldiers, like in Vietnam, we have 59,000 wounded soldiers, gravely wounded, that survived, that would have died 40 years earlier. So, in that way, you can say it is true that people live longer on average because of modern medicine. Now, the Bible mentions that a good lifespan for a person is 70 years old and 80 is a true blessing. And to be frank, that’s the same today. We think that people are living longer that are really not living longer than the past. You can lie with statistics. It is true that if you had a disease, you could die if there was no antibiotics or if you had many children and you were women given natural childbirth and there wasn’t the availability of modern medicine to save the mother or the child, you had childbirth deaths, you had women dying in childbirth. Well, statistically, if you have three women living to 100 and three women that died in their 30s in childbirth, the average would be, I guess, 66 years old. But that’s a lie. Half of them were over 66 and half of them were under 66. So, averaging statistics do not necessarily talk to us about how long we are living. We have billionaires today that are spending fortunes on trying to find out how to live to be 200, 300, 400 years old or never even die.
It’s not going to happen. It’s not going to happen until, you know, God gives us eternal life at the resurrection. But when you go back in history and you study the ages of people, you will find some shocks that basically most people are unaware of. I’ll give you a couple examples. It was written by, I believe, Pliny in the first century. He was a historian and he names the names of some famous people of his day. Cicero’s wife, for example, lived to be 103 years old. A woman named Claudia lived to be 115 years old and she had 15 children, by the way, according to Pliny. An actress named Lucia, who performed on stage when she was 100 years old, don’t say when she died, but that’s not much different than today. The oldest living person on earth today is about 116 years old. And I have studied the elderly for a while. And if you go to The Plain Truth Message Board, you will see, and you put in the search part of that, living to be 100, you will see all kinds of stories of people who live to be 100 and the secrets that they claim they have. Some of them say they live to be 100 because they smoke a cigar and drink whiskey every day. Some say they live to 100 because they don’t smoke and they only ate vegetables. Some live to 100 and say they eat steak and eggs every day. And some say they exercise, others say they didn’t exercise. There is no real reason why some of these people live to be over 100 and some don’t. But one thing should be pointed out. If people 2,000 years ago lived to be 115 and people today only can live to be 115, this tells me that science has not extended the lifespan of human beings other than statistically by preventing disease deaths or childbirth deaths or accidental deaths. You know, if you got maimed and got cut a couple hundred years ago, you probably got an infection. That infection could spread and voila, you’re dead.
Today, antibiotics save you. But I one time used to have a habit of going to old cemeteries and walking through cemeteries. And I was stunned about what I found. And I’m talking about cemeteries. There’s one in Winston-Salem, North Carolina that dates back to the late 1600s. And you will see people in the 16 and 1700s that will give a person’s name. And it’ll say they live to be 69 years old. And you’ll see another one live to be 84 years old. And you’ll see one that lived to be three months old. Then you’ll see a woman who lived to be 92. And then you’ll see other women who died in their 30s and 40s, probably, but it didn’t say in childbirth. You also see a lot of children deaths. Matter of fact, there’s a whole part of some cemeteries that have nothing but infants that died before they were even five months old. Statistically, that lowers the life expectancy. But in actuality, people live to that 70 to 80 years on average, that the Bible said you did some 2000 3000 years ago. The plain truth is life expectancy has only increased on average and not in actual raw numbers. The chances are, no matter what you do, you’re going to live into your 70s unless, of course, you’re killed in an accident or some disease they can’t stop. And a woman will probably live to her mid 80s.But just as many people today, percentage wise will live to be 100 that lived to be 100 100 years ago. Isn’t it amazing that when you study our forefathers in the 1770s, and through the 1800s, that you’ll see that, you know, Ben Franklin was in his mid 80s. A lot of these people died as very old men. How do you explain that? Well, governments want to really assure their citizens that their taxpayers money is being used correctly. And one of the ways they do this is through a propaganda program, letting you realize that all this money in taxes you’re paying is paying off in various ways. They’re educating your children, so they will have a better education and a chance for a better job.
Well, we’re seeing today that may not be the case. They tell you your tax money is being used to improve medicine and improve the lifespan of human beings. Well, in some ways it is, as I pointed out through preventing disease and preventing childhood deaths and preventing women dying in childbirth. But again, we don’t have people living to be 145 years old, we still have dying at 115 or 116. You know, someone made a joke to me one time when I was studying about gerontology, this study of old age, is that it’s pretty bad when you become the oldest living person in the world. You usually only hold the record for less than six months because you die, and somebody else replaces you at about your age. So the idea that many people have is that today we are so much better off because we’re going to live a lot longer lives is true only in the effect of modern medicines, antibiotics, which now maybe have run amok and may be killing us quicker, and some other medical miracles that have happened. But do you think if you take all these vitamins and you take all these minerals and you buy this green stuff on TV and all of these new things that you’re going to live to be 200? No. There are some very famous people, some of them dead, who predicted. I’m talking about experts in the field. There was one person, and I don’t remember his name, but he was in very good shape at age 72. I mean, he looked like he had a body of a 40-year-old or 30-year-old, and he predicted that he was going to die probably at 150 years old.He died at 77 years old of a heart attack, just like probably a slightly overweight man does who smoked cigars died at 77 years old of a heart attack. He didn’t live the 150 years that he thought. There are many people who are hawking products on TV and stuff like this.
You see them all the time if you watch Fox News or any of the news channels or any of the TV shows about all these miracle pills that you can take or food additives or smoothie stuff that you take, that you’re going to get all this nutrition from this little pill that you’re not getting from eating right. You can go on and you can eat all this junk food you want, and go to McDonald’s every day, but take these four pills a day, and you’re going to get all the greens and fruits you need. And if you believe that, you are the people making these guys rich, because it’s a lie. The idea of life expectancy is a lie. We are not going to live to be 200 years old. We’re not going to live to be 300 years old through modern science. We’re going to still lower the causes of death through the disease and other things, but when everything is equaled out, people are going to die at around 70 to 80 years old on average. And this brings me to advertising again. Both are Your Health Today and The Message Board, which is part of the PlainTruth.com’s website. When you go to the PlainTruth.com, you can see the front page, which goes many pages, but you see the beginning of it, and it’s all the modern stories that we find are the most interesting from our point of view to put up for the day. But on top, you see there’s a message board. There’s a podcast, which you’re listening to now. There is a Your Health Today section, which talks about medicine, and health, and cures, and disease, and things that I don’t think you find too many other places that may help you have a healthier life. And there’s also The Message Board, something I probably don’t talk enough about, because The Message Board actually gets more viewership than all the rest of our site put together. And there’s a reason for that, in my opinion, is because anybody can comment, anybody can start a new post. You do not have to register in order to comment or to start a post. You just have to be approved by a moderator if you’re not registered. That keeps porn off the sites, or illicit advertising, and things like that.
But if you’re registered, then your posts go live. They are still monitored, and they may be deleted if they’re not to our standards, but this turns you, our audience, into reporters. Many times, I have someone post something on The Message Board that I was totally unaware of. And when I looked at the story, I would talk to our editor, Jennifer, and say, this is a really good story. We should write a story on the main page about this. And the idea did not come from what we found. It’s from what our, we have about 10,000, I believe, right now, readership found for us. People often find stories that I haven’t found, or our staff hasn’t found. They put it on The Message Board, and lo and behold, it finds its way on the front page as well. So when you go to The Message Board, which you get from ThePlainTruth.com, when you go to The Message Board, you will see all, actually, it goes back to 2008. You will see, you know, all those years worth of messages. And one of the things that I do with The Message Board is I keep things in categories. So for example, there’s an Obama file, and there’s a Trump file, and there’s, you know, a disease file, food file. So I put up stories every day, or other people put stories, and when they get to the bottom of the page, and they may only have 15, 20 reads, but what I do then is I move that post to the subject matter that it’s talking about, which may have 40 posts to it. And so it’s there for posterity’s sake. So when you go to that search engine, and you put in almost any subject, put in prostate cancer, breast cancer, and you’ll find two or three strings with many posts in it, by many people, about what’s happening in their latest research, or what’s not happening. In the breast cancer, there was, did Angeline Jolie make a mistake having a mastectomy, because she had a genetic trait to have breast cancer? And, you know, there is a fad going on where women butcher their breasts, even before they have breast cancer, when there maybe is a better alternative than that. And if there’s cancer in your breast, chances are, or if it’s going to form in your breast, and you cut off your breast, it probably is going to show up somewhere else.
And you find this on the message board, not just Your Health Today. In fact, like I said, I think you will find more news articles, and gathered together on each subject, than you will find anywhere else on The Plain Truth. More than the Your Health Today, more than the podcast, and more than the main, what we call the main page, plaintruth.com. And, like I said, you’ll see a story, for example, we have one on the Second Amendment, and there is stories, if you go through all the strings, you will see stories from 2009, 2011, 2017, and lo and behold, you can see if those stories were accurate. And I have spent much of my time going through a lot of these older stories, and find out how accurate the Plain Truth’s Message Board has been in its predictions on what’s going to happen. When Obama became president, on the message board, we had in the Obama file, all of the stories that the media has forgotten to tell you about. And the Plain Truth may forget about it, but it’s there forever, on the message board, stories that probably escaped the media at the time, and they’re surely not going to mention it today. Several months back, Tucker Carlson, after he had left Fox, and he’s on X now with his own radio or broadcast show, mentioned about Obama’s secret homosexual sex life. Well, that’s not new to anybody reading in the Plain Truth Message Board, when you can go back to, I believe, around 2009 or 10, the story of a woman who claimed that her son, who was murdered, by the way, was having a homosexual relationship with Barack Obama. Now, that may be true, it may not be true, but the one thing that is true, Barack Obama was a member of a gay bath house in Chicago for many years. And when questioned about it, just simply stated that it was not necessarily a gay bath house, it was a social place where rich people and influential people went to, a la Jeffrey Epstein kind of stuff, I guess. And he was just a member because that was where important people met. If you want to believe that, you can believe that.If you want to believe something different, I believe something different. And it’s, I think, the best place anywhere other than trying to do a search engine search, which is monitored for what you’re going to read. You put in certain words in Google, they’re not going to let you find the stories that are on Google, they’re going to bury it on page 99 of the search engine because it doesn’t want you to read it.
But when you go to The Plain Truth, and you search what’s there, we don’t moderate what you’re going to see. If you put in a subject, you’re going to get what was written about that subject 10, 15 years ago, and you’re going to see what was said. And I’ve done that with one of the shows lately about the trial down in South Carolina with the guy who supposedly killed his wife and child, and showed how the story of that really changed. And the idea that he did it is suspect, considering that the boy who died, killed a girl in an accident. And maybe that killing was retribution from someone who was trying to get even for this guy walking, this kid walking away from killing somebody in an accident. And sometimes that makes enemies. And most people don’t even know those stories existed. It’s very interesting to see sometimes how, and The Plain Truth Message Board shows you this, it’s very interesting to see how changes in the stories happen over a time. You’ll see a headline saying XYZ. And then a month or two later, that headline changes to YZX. And then all of a sudden, a year later, it’s ABC. And what I mean by that is newspapers, TV news, media news, even internet news, often have people working for them who are paid for by Republicans or Democrats or Big Pharma or big business. They just don’t disclose that. And so a story comes out that kind of makes Big Pharma look bad. Then all of a sudden, that story starts to change. And you start seeing a different aspect of how great Big Pharma is saving all these lives. And so you forget the original story. For example, Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine is a total lie. Are you aware, it’s on The Plain Truth Message Board, are you aware that COVID-19 shots that you are getting today have never been approved by the federal government? That the vaccine that they submitted to the federal government for approval and was approved was one they never ended up using? They changed it against the law, by the way. They actually changed the formulation of that vaccine without approval. And that is what you’re getting today.
That’s not being reported. It was reported back in 2020, but it’s been forgotten. But if you search up everything we know about the coronavirus, and there’s part one and part two on the message board, you’ll read stories that you forgot. And when you read them, you’ll say, gee, I do remember that. And that’s the problem with the press. And I’m going to leave with this statement one time, it always gets me. One of the movies that I like a lot is The Godfather, the original Godfather. And there is a scene where Michael Corleone, who did not want to be part of the family business, but after the father was shot and wounded, realizing that he had to join the family’s mafia business, decided that he was going to kill the police lieutenant who was responsible for his being shot. And the family lawyer says, you can’t kill a cop. And Michael replies, where is it said you can’t kill a cop? A dirty cop, a cop involved in drugs, a cop that’s involved with the mafia. We have people on the press, don’t we? They’re on our payroll on the press, don’t we? Yeah, we do have people on the payroll. And that was a 1972 movie. But that’s the absolute truth. Every single interest group has reporters on their payroll. They just don’t tell you they’re on somebody’s payroll. So when you watch this reporter, or you read something from some reporter, sometimes you don’t know why they are reporting what they’re reporting. This is one reason why And you find this on the message board, not just Your Health Today. In fact, like I said, I think you will find more news articles, and gathered together on each subject, than you will find anywhere else on The Plain Truth. does not take advertising. The only advertising you’re ever going to see on plain truth is our own businesses that we own, like Camp Copaint, or Serendipity, which is a site my wife and I are starting to sell coins and jewelry and stuff like that for people who want to invest into the future. But we’re not going to advertise for big pharma. I’ve had people wanting to advertise on the plain truth and I turn every one of them down. I’m not going to be beholden to anyone. When you read a story on the plain truth, you’re going to know who wrote the story, and you’re going to know what we think about it. We usually give a caveat in the beginning that we agree, or we don’t agree, or this is not our opinion, but we think you should know about it. But when I write something, I’m writing something based on what I know in my mind to be the truth, and I’m not being paid for that opinion by anybody, and I will not be.
So you can trust at least that the person writing these stories on And you find this on the message board, not just Your Health Today. that work for us, or me especially, that at least we believe in what we’re writing, and we think we have the evidence. We can be wrong. I’m not saying that, but we’re not being bribed. And most of the media that you watch, and I don’t care if you’re watching MSNBC or CNN or Fox News or Newsmax or Rav TV or America, AON, whatever that’s called, or the Washington Post or New York Times, individual reporters are secretly on the payroll of big pharma, big business, big government, the CIA. Do you know there’s a story on the message board that Walter Cronkite possibly, most likely, was a CIA operative? Think about that for a minute and see if that don’t boggle your mind about what people think about Walter. He wasn’t the guy that people maybe think he was. And you’ll find that over the years, many famous celebrities, many famous scientists, many famous politicians, and many famous reporters are bought and paid for. And what they tell you is a total lie. The plain truth is the plain truth. And that’s what we bring you. This is Bob Barney saying I appreciate you listening. Please tell your friends about this broadcast. We try to do at least three or four a week. Lately, we’ve been doing more. I hope I can do more. And I think I have topics that I discuss that most people are not listening to or wanting to listen to. But you need to know it. Thanks again for listening. Goodbye.
