The Plain Truth is so Happy That You Have Been Enjoying Bob’s Broadcasts.
2000 years ago, a newscaster that we know of as Jesus Christ warned us about false Christianity. The warning was not against the devil but against false Christianity…about people who come in His name and deceive many.

Hi, Bob Barney with another Friday Wrap-Up. This is Bob Barney for The Plain Truth Today, brought to you by theplaintruth.com, and we’re going to go over the news of the week, and we’re going to go over what’s coming on tomorrow on the Sabbath day for the shows we present on the podcast tomorrow, and we’re not going to do Sunday again, because I never really figure out what I’m going to do Sunday until Saturday, or the Sabbath day. But the first story I wanted to get into is this unemployment number.
After last month’s high unemployment number, which surprised and shocked everybody and made everybody happy, if you had listened into this program, I said it was an anomaly, and when you averaged it all out with the bad months and the negative months before that, I just believe there was a lot of mistakes last month, and then it came out to about 60,000 to 65,000 a month, which is pitiful compared to Biden was adding 175,000 a month. Now, granted, three quarters of that 175,000 were illegal aliens, so some reports claimed. But anyway, 60,000 jobs a month, that’s not even a million a year.
Way back 40 years ago under Reagan, they were adding, what, 1.7 million a year during his time. But anyway, here’s a report about the numbers and what the mainstream media has to say about it, what they think it means. U.S. economy added 57,000 jobs in June.
That was less than expected. The unemployment rate coming in at 4.2 percent. We’ve got NBC News business and economy reporter Allie Canal at the big board, also joining us, Investopedia’s editor-in-chief and chief business editor of People Inc., Caleb Silver.
Good morning to both of you. Allie, let’s start with you. Walk us through the numbers, how they compare with previous months.
Yeah, well, as you said, Joe, coming in below expectations here. So the estimate was 115,000 jobs added in June, that coming in at 57,000. So just around half that was expected.
We also got downwardly revised numbers for both April and May. April, remember, we had that blowout jobs report. Do you remember I said last month that the April number, which was unusually high, when averaged out would be much lower, which it is? But they also had to revise that report because it was done in error.
And I think some of this error is done on purpose. Now, I remember myself and many pro-Trump people and the MAGA people and most Republicans, when Biden was having high numbers and then having massive revisions after elections or after important debates or whatever, everyone was suspect about the numbers, including Donald Trump and including, like I said, most conservatives, even the non-Trump or conservatives, all thought these numbers were being cooked up to help Biden and the Democrats. But for some reason, nobody wants to believe, maybe other than me, that these numbers are also being cooked under the Trump administration to please him.
And now he accepts these numbers. Now he may not accept today’s, but he always accepts the numbers. He accepts polls when they’re for him and he doesn’t accept polls when they’re against him.
And that’s a problem right there. But I’m going to finish this report and then we’re going to move on to the next thing after a brief comment. 179,000 jobs added.
That was revised lower by 31,000 to 148,000 jobs. And then in May, same thing, 172,000 jobs added last month. Not necessarily true.
That was revised down by 43,000 jobs to 129,000 here. Now, the good news is that the unemployment rate did come in a touch below expectations here at 4.2%. So coming down a little bit. And that honestly is pretty low by historical standards here.
You can see we had some choppiness right here is when you had that government shutdown. So a bit of lag in the data here, but 4.2% is pretty good. The issue though, is that a lot of folks out there that are looking for jobs, they’re having a difficult time finding one.
It’s what’s been described by economists as low hire, low fire. And that’s what makes this a tricky job market right now, Joe. Well, I don’t actually believe that.
I’m an employer and I can’t find people who want to work. I think if anybody really wants to have a job in this economy, they can go to many, many different businesses. Maybe not the big guys, but they don’t employ three quarters of the population anyway.
But your small businesses, your family owned businesses, they’re always looking for good help. The problem is most of the people looking for jobs, honestly, are not wanting to work. They’re looking for jobs that are going to pay them good money, but they want to sit there and play on their iPhone all day long at work.
And then they get upset when the boss has a problem with it. That’s what’s going on. I mean, I have people in my place, we’re going to actually do a different pay plan because of this.
I have people in my, every time you see them, they’re on their telephone sitting on a forklift or something like that. And I don’t want to have to take cell phones away from people because theyto be honest, a safety measure for people. For things go wrong, a cell phone can save somebody’s life.
But every time you see somebody sitting on a forklift and you’re paying them $25, $30 an hour, that’s a lot of money for somebody to be sitting on their rump looking at their cell phone. And this is the problem. Why not only is it hard finding good employees right now, it’s hard with the employees you have to have them work a full day.
I saw a report, I can’t bring it up right now, but I saw a report several years ago, and they actually made a funny movie of this report, so I was told. I can’t remember the name of the movie, but it was interviewing people that worked and bragging how they spend their day looking busy butaccomplishing nothing. And it was funny, or they thought it was funny.
I think it’s a national disgrace, but that’s what’s happening. You go to a lot of these third world countries, including China, and it is still a third world country, maybe modernizing at a rapid pace, but you go to look at these workers and they enjoy going to work. They show up a half hour to 45minutes early at our plant in China.
They work right through the day. They take two breaks and a lunch break, which they’re allowed to do. And most of them on their breaks are back before the ends.
All of them are back before the lunch break ends. And at the end of the day, if they didn’taccomplish what they thought they should have accomplished, they stay there and work for free. They don’t even think they should be paid for it.
We pay them for it because we want to be good employers. But this is the mentality of those people with a work ethic. That work ethic used to be in America, you know.
There was a time, I’m 71 years old, I have a great work ethic, and everybody my, now I won’t say everybody my age, but everybody a little bit older than me, what made America great? The reason we built the best cars in the world and the best everything in the world was we had people, blue collared people, that knew how to work. They worked hard. They worked smart as well.
That’s a big clue. And they produced what no one today can produce. I know in my father’s business, and my brother tells me all the time because he worked with my father, and when he was there as the boss of a plant, they produced so much more batches a day, pounds, they go by the pounds, of batches a day than the people right before they closed the plant down.
And one of the reasons they probably closed the plant down, they could go somewhere else and save a lot of money. But at the same time, productivity dropped. And that is what’s happening with every American business today.
Production is dropping, and it’s a serious problem. And I want to get into the next subject now. I didn’t want to spend too much time on it, and the next subject that was really kind of important this week, and that is, if you listen to this program long enough, you know that we keep talking about the book of Daniel in the Bible, and there’s going to be a king of the north, and that is the European Union is gonna unite as the Holy Roman Empire, and there’s gonna become a king of the north who is the beast of the Bible.
He’s the Antichrist that comes out supported by the Catholic Church in Rome. That is what’s prophesied in Daniel. It’s going to happen.
But also, we keep talking about a king of the south, and that is a king, like another king of the north, another Antichrist type, that’s gonna come out of some southern, most likely Arabic nation. The king of the south implies south of Israel. I think it’s gonna be Saudi Arabia, personally, and I always watch what’s going on in Saudi Arabia.
But there’s gonna be a king of the south that unites, under his power, all of the Muslim countries from West Africa all the way through Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, and beyond. And it’s gonna be like the United States of Islam, like Europe’s gonna be the United States of Europe. And this person is going to be very, very evil.
He’s gonna go to war against the king of the north, Europe, and he’s gonna lose. He’s gonna lose big time. And there’s a passage in the New Testament that says that, in Revelation, that is, that says that a billion people, that’s if you take the statistic, how many people on earth today and the percentage that it tells you, that a billion people are gonna die in one day in what looks to be a nuclear exchange, and those people are all gonna die between the Tigris and Euphrates River.
And that implies, by the way, that they’re all Muslim. That’s who’s living there. But I’m gonna take a brief time out right now to talk about theplaintruth.com. This is gonna be a live commercial for theplaintruth.com and the Plain Truth Today podcast, the place to go to, and I keep saying this, but it is to find out what’s happening in today’s news, why it’s happening, what it means for you and your friends and your family, your future, and what the headlines of tomorrow is gonna be.
I always say, and I have a few people write me letters, don’t like it when I say this, but Jesus Christ was the greatest newscaster of all times. He’s the greatest prophet of all times, the greatest newscaster of all times, the greatest physician of all times. He healed more people than anybody could do at John Hopkins.
But we’re gonna have, tomorrow’s headlines are out of the pages of your Bible, and this is what the Plain Truth Today podcast, as well as theplaintruth.com for the last 18 years now, has brought to our readers and our listeners and our viewers what’s happening in the future, because it’s gonna happen because the Bible says it’s gonna happen. And you can find all that stories and videos and audios on theplaintruth.com and theplaintruthtoday.com, and you get all of it from theplaintruth.com. You can get to the Your Health Today, the Message Board, the podcast, everything from theplaintruth.com. Go there, thank you. And we’re back, and we’re gonna talk about the next subject.
I was just talking about this rift developing between the United States of America and what I could believe could be the coming King of the South, Saudi Arabia. I’m not sure we’re in the right time for this, but here is the story I want you to hear. Donald Trump once again accused Joe Biden ofdamaging America’s relationship with Saudi Arabia.
Last year, he said his predecessor’s foreign policy had destabilized West Asia and hurt America’s partnerships in the region. In fact, just last year, Trump even mocked Biden for his fist bump with Saudi Crown Prince MBS in 2022 after Biden had once vowed to treat MBS as a pariah. When it was Trump’s turn to meet MBS last year, he criticized Biden for flying 20 hours to Saudi Arabia only to offer a fist bump instead of a handshake.
He promised to fix that relationship, but today the same relationship Trump promised to restore is facing its biggest test in years. And the irony? The crisis is coming under the very presidency that promised to fix it. It looks like Trump may have done the very thing he accused his predecessor of doing.
According to a new report by the Wall Street Journal, the dispute over the Strait of Hormuz has driven the biggest wedge in years between Washington and Riyadh. Now allow me to explain chronologically. Let’s rewind to the first days of the war.
The Trump administration joined the war alongside Israel. Its stated goal was to weaken Iran, but America and its allies in the Gulf were not on the same page. We know this.
Saudi Arabia specifically feared that a longer war would push Iran to retaliate, not just against Israel, but against the entire Gulf. And as the world saw in the four months after that, that is exactly what happened. Iran targeted energy infrastructure across the Gulf, fired missiles and drones, and threatened shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, a waterway through which around 20% of the world’s oil passes.
Overnight, a regional war became a global energy crisis. Now as you may recall, when the Hormuz crisis escalated, the Trump administration announced Project Freedom. It’s a military operation that it said was designed to protect commercial shipping moving through the Strait.
Now a new Wall Street Journal report reports that more than 100 American military aircraft along with warships were mobilized. But there was only one problem. This entire operation depended on access to Saudi bases and Saudi airspace.
And according to a report published recently, Riyadh said no. The Kingdom had already warnedWashington that any attempt to escalate the war could lead to the Strait of Hormuz being closed. That would have sent oil prices surging, disrupted global trade and hurt economies around the world.
So instead of more military action, Saudi Arabia was pushing for diplomacy. That pushback from Riyadh reportedly forced the U.S. to abort Project Freedom. As a result, the White House was reportedly furious.
Washington allegedly warned Riyadh that deliveries of missile interceptors to the Kingdom could be delayed. These are the very defense systems that Saudi Arabia relies on to stop Iranian missiles and drones. Saudi Arabia reportedly backed down, but the damage had already been done.
According to the report, the United States is now considering reducing its military presence in Saudi Arabia. The U.S. threats, which by the way, have not been reported before, marks the biggest rift in years in a relationship that has underpinned security arrangements in the Gulf for decades. In fact, last week, Secretary of State Marco Rubio traveled to the Gulf for meetings with senior officials in the region.
He visited the UAE, Kuwait and Bahrain, three of the countries hardest hit by Iran during this war. But he did not travel to Saudi Arabia, a move that according to reports was seen in Riyadh as a diplomatic snub. Now, of course, the Trump administration officials denied that that was the intention.
But clearly, there’s trouble in paradise. The week prior, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman had reportedly turned down the invitation to attend the G7 summit in France in protest against America’s way of handling the war. But leaders of the UAE, Qatar and Egypt attended it.
Now, why does all of this matter? You see, it’s still not clear just how much damage this episode has caused to U.S.-Saudi relations. But what is clear is that the partnership between Washington and Riyadh has been one of the foundations of America’s security strategy in West Asia for decades. And the health of that relationship matters to the rest of the world, because it helps keep global oil supplies flowing, critical shipping routes secure and energy markets stable.
But even though the United States and Saudi Arabia have been security partners for decades, they were never really, they never really got on the same page when it came to the war in Iran. And that’s the problem. The problem is, is everything that Donald Trump really promised this time around, and he ridiculed the former presidents and he ridiculed the way back, including honestly, Reagan and Eisenhower.
And when these people had more brains in their pockets than Donald Trump really has, and you’re seeing this today, he said he would make amends with Saudi Arabia. They are probably right now in Saudi Arabia, America is probably more unpopular now than it has been in the last 20 years. That’s a hard thing to do when you think about it.
And that is because of Donald Trump and because of his arrogance, and because he refuses to listen to his own military advisors, let alone military advisors from other nations. This is why Europe would not allow us to use their bases, because they didn’t want to see the United States use their bases. They would get retaliated by Iran.
Iran has sleeper cells all over the world, by the way, they do, including England. There was a big Muslim problem in England, Germany, Italy, all of Europe. And they realized that if America continued to flub the war that they can’t win, that Europe would pay the price by allowing the bases to be used.
And I think there’s a lot to that. So we’ve strained our relationships with Europe. We’ve strained our relationship with Saudi Arabia and all of the Arab League, which will someday be the king of the South.
We’ve strained our relationships with Canada, with Mexico, and with most of our allies around the world. And the benefit of all of these strained relationships, honestly, have been China. They are raking in hundreds of billions of dollars of foreign trade to Europe, to Africa, to Asia, all because the United States is being boycotted.
I know that for a fact, because we have an international division right now that we’ve one sale in Africa, and that’s it. And that sale was the first, and we thought it was going to be the first of many this year. And we’re already up to June, and we’ve put a lot of money into this.
And we’re finding out people are not too happy with dealing with America right now because ofthese tariffs, and because of just this attitude that this White House has against our allies and friends overseas that we want to sell to. And, you know, you go and you just think a minute, if you’re going to be a business guy, and let’s say you’re selling real estate, or you’re, no, let’s say you’re selling insurance, and you go to every customer and you insult them. You call them, you’re fat, I don’t know if I can get you insurance.
Looks like you’re going to die tomorrow. Look at how, look how awful you look. I don’t know if I can get you insurance.
You think you’re going sell much insurance if you keep alienating the people you’re trying to sell to? Well, that’s what’s going on. And I have a touch on this. My fingers on the pulse here because I am in an international business today, and I’m trying to move product from here overseas, and it ain’t working really well.
And that’s a problem, and it’s going to continue to be a problem. We’re going to end up with one last big problem I’ve been talking about now for the last, I don’t know, four or five weeks, quite a lot. Probably the last five or six months by hinting in insinuation, but it’s getting worse and worse and worse and worse.
And I think it’s got to, somebody’s got to say something about it. And the plain truth takes no advertisement. We’re not beholding to no one.
We tell the plain truth how we see it. You may disagree with us, you’re welcome to do so, but we don’t change like, we don’t change spots. We are the same.
We’re the same when we hold the Bidens and the Obamas and the Clintons accountable as when we hold Republicans accountable as well. And the problem is, is the people who voted for Donald Trump don’t want to hold them accountable. I’ll be right back.

Thank you. And we’re back to the last subject. And the last subject, like I just said before, one I don’t really want to talk about in the first, but now it’s got to be talked about.
I’m going to play a CNBC report here. It’s about five minutes, but I don’t think I’m going to play the whole five minutes, but it’s about the Trump people putting out his income for last year. And everybody touts that he don’t take any income.
He’s the first president, evidently, since John Kennedy takes a dollar a year or whatever, the legal thing. No, he’s using his presidency right now to rake in billions of dollars a year. You want to give me a job that pays $525,000 and say, I’ll say, I will do that job for a dollar if I’m allowed to be a crook.
I think everybody understands that anybody would take that job. You would pay. I would actually pay a million dollars to be president if I could steal a billion.
But anyway, let’s listen to this. Here’s the story. The Office of the Government Ethics released President Trump’s annual financial disclosure report yesterday.
It revealed that the president pulled in at least $2 billion in 2025. His crypto related income in 2025 included about $515 million from the sale of tokens from the World Liberty, from World Liberty Financial and another $65 million from sales of equity in World Liberty’s holding company. He also received $635 million in royalties from Celebration Coins.
It wasn’t immediately clear what those coins are, though Bloomberg is reporting that the royaltiesare related to Mr. Trump’s meme coin business. Now, he earned more than $86 million in legalsettlements as well. Those included the $24.5 million from Meta, $16 million a piece fromParamount and Disney.
And President Trump’s biggest stock holdings include Amazon, Meta, Nvidia and Tesla. And here you’re suing these companies and you’re getting settlements from them, yet you’re investing in these companies, which are doing really well, and they settled without going to court. And if you don’t understand what bribery is all about, what the swamp is all about, it’s making believe you’re going to sue somebody, wink wink, when you’re their best friends.
Matter of fact, you have stock in their company and they pay you money to settle a lawsuit, which makes it legal. It makes bribery by these billionaires to the Trump family legal because it’s a settlement of a court case. Think about that.
It smells to high heaven. I’m going to finish this and then I’ll finish the show. Right.
OK, so lots of questions. Tell me what the answers are to the questions, because we don’t have the answers to the questions. Right.
I will tell you, I’ll tell you one other thing. He made four point seven million from I almost contributed to that Trump watches. OK, Trump branded watches.
I was going to buy you one. I can’t remember which one. Meg, Meg, you know, as a joke.
So. This is I say this a lot, and it’s for the others, you know, people say this is how Trump rolls and it is how President Trump roll. He’s selling watches.
He’s selling. The president of the United States has no business selling watches. He has no business selling his name.
He has no business putting his name on on everything there is that’s government. He has no right to change the White House with a ballroom that never was approved by Congress, with a lie that it was all going to be paid by private investors, private investors, by the way, that gave millions and millions of dollars to Trump himself personally. And then they get millions and billions of dollars in contracts.
Think about that. And then all of a sudden do a bait and switch and tell Congress he needs a billion dollars to finish it. And then maybe I hate to say this, maybe even stages a assassination attempt to prove he needs a ballroom.
The most nonsensical thing I ever heard. This story is not going away. Maybe if he was a Democrat, it would go away.
Republicans should know. I don’t care who you are, but a Republican should know you’re not Bill Clinton. You’re not Barack Obama.
And you’re not Joe Biden where the press will absolutely lay down and bury any of the corruption that they did. I mean, everybody really knows how corrupt Hunter Biden and Joe Biden was, how Obama made millions and millions of dollars as president. He was broke going into the presidency.
He’s worth nearly a billion dollars today. Look at the Clintons. They’re the most corrupt people, murdering people I can think of.
Everybody laughs about it. But that’s the truth. That’s the plain truth.
But you ain’t get away with it because they’re Democrats. I’m not excusing them either, by theway. I’d love to see them and they’re going to someday face God almighty and they’re going to besizzling over a fire.
That’s what’s going to happen. Now God has a right to forgive them and I have no right to say he doesn’t. So whatever God wants to do, it’s fine with me.
But I got news for you. How I understand the Bible, they got a big reckoning coming and that reckoning is probably the loss of their eternal life that they don’t have without being given immortal life by God on the resurrection day. And I don’t think they’re going to be there to define that life.
That’s my opinion. That’s all I want to say. But the Trump’s going to be there too.
I’m telling you right now, he has thumbed his nose at God who put him there, like King Saul. God put King Saul there but then said, I’m sorry I made Saul king. Well, that’s the story.
Now we’re going to go over the Sabbath day tomorrow. Tomorrow is the Sabbath day. The Sabbath is not Sunday.
The fourth commandment says remember the Sabbath day. That does not say remember the first day of the week. And so we’re going to have a show and it’s my show, a show I did a long time ago.
And it’s entitled, Is God Mad at America? Because my contention is God is very, very mad at America. And America is seeing the results now with record heat, record droughts, record bad weather, record floods, record fires, forest fires, and fires burning down cities like LA for pity sakes. Yes, God is mad at America because America has forgotten their God.
And even the older Americans, the America of 75 years ago, who might have not really understood the real Christian religion, and they might have been part of a false church, but they had personal morals. And America is losing its personal morals. And so the show tomorrow by me is God Mad at America.
I really highly recommend you listen to it, 7.11 a.m. tomorrow, but you can listen to it all day longand forever. 7.11 p.m., because we do not have a noon show, is going to be a suspense radio showfrom the 1940s or early 50s. It’s a radio show, not a video, not a TV show or a movie.
The show title is always Suspense, and it’s very suspenseful. And the name of that show, that episode, is going to be called Quiet Night. And I won’t get into that, but I listened to it on the way to work, and that’s last week.
And I said, I’m going to play that Saturday night, because I ended up sitting at a park listening to the entire show, because I found it so fascinating. So 7.11 p.m. tomorrow night, Sabbath day night, suspense radio, Quiet Night. And I think if you listen to it, you can sit back and, you know, you can do your, you can do any other work.
And when you listen to radio, it just sinks in. And if it’s really good, all of a sudden you stop what you’re doing and you pay attention. And that’s what this show will do.
I really enjoyed it, so I put it up. That suspense radio, tomorrow night at 7.11 p.m., Quiet Night. Tomorrow is the Sabbath, and it’s also the Fourth of July.
I wish everyone a beautiful Fourth of July, a safe Fourth of July. Leave those fireworks alone. And hope everyone stays safe, has a blessed Fourth of July.
God bless this country. Let’s not forget it. Tomorrow is as godly of a holiday for America as Hanukkah is for the Jews.
So have a happy Sabbath day and a blessed Fourth of July weekend. It’s a short weekend for most. Most people had to work Friday or Monday, so it’s only a two-day weekend, but I hope you have a great.
It’s the 250th birthday of America. Happy birthday, America. You were the God’s greatest country that’s ever existed.
I wish you’d realize it and repent and come back. Until Monday, Bob Barney for The Plain Truth today saying, thank you for listening. Bye-bye.
