In Ancient Israel, there were many prophets who cried aloud about the sins of the people…and also of the warnings of what would happen if the people wouldn’t listen.

Are their modern-day prophets warning Israel of their sins?

I want to ask the question as to if there are 20th and 21st century prophets like Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and the minor prophets we see in the Bible. My contention has been that there have been in the history of this world, in the 20th Century especially and before, even today, there are people who seem to be prophets of God in other roles that maybe in former times we would recognize them as prophets of God…

The secular world we live in today we do not want to attribute anything to God. Therefore, when people speak out, even if they turn out to be correct, we don’t consider that they had a superior understanding of God.

I want to talk about two figures today in history, that I believe God inspired. God protected. God informed. God told them in their minds what was going to be the course of history in their times. The warmings they gave, mainly unheeded at the time, you know, when you go back to the OT you find out that prophets like Jeremiah were never listened to. In fact, the people wanted the hear the voice of prophets that only gave them good news. Even the way things are today, people go to churches to hear what they want to hear and not what God wants them to hear. We often pick our religion closest to a religion that we already believe and follow that as our faith when we not following the real faith at all that is in the Bible and one that we are supposed to believe.

We have people who want to follow men and women who just tell them what htey want them to hear. That has always been a problem.

There is a chapter in Jeremiah where a false prophet gives good news in contradiction to Jeremiah’s bad news about Babylon defeating Jerusalem and defeating the Kingdom of Judah. Jeremiah stood up and told everyone there that the man was a false prophet and the man dropped dead! Even though he died in front of everyone because God struck him dead, they still did not listen to Jeremiah and the King of Judah actually put Jeremiah in jail for giving him such a bad toned prophesy.

So, you see, people have not wanted to hear the truth, The Plain Truth so to speak, throughout history. This is not new.

That iw why I dont think this program will be that big! Because I do not believe that people do not want to hear what i have to say or am going to say. That I feel that I can prove the Bible is clear on what we are commanded to say and give God’s Word. The Word of God in the Bible sometimes in comforting…but sometimes it is very scary for those that want to follow a religion of convenience.

Many Christians in America want to follow a religion of convenience. Many people even who are not so religious also want to follow a lifestyle of convenience.

Winston Churchill and Douglas MacArthur are who I want to talk to you about today.

Last Sunday on The Plain Truth’s main page, we had a story on Churchill and his prophetic prophesies in regard to WWII. You can find that here. Also, I believe Douglas MacArthur was America’s prophet of the mid 20th Century that went unheeded.

Many of the problems that we have in the world today are directly related to not listening to the words of General MacArthur and the warnings that he gave this nation concerning war, nuclear war, the great China threat and the idea of Armageddon.

He was like the watchman of the world and like Isaiah, crying out in the wilderness, because no one in the 1900’s wanted to hear what Churchill had to say. In fact, from about 1920 to 1939, Churchill was an outcast amongst the political elite of England. He could foresee the total evilness of Nazi Germany. Unfortunately, no one in England paid attention, they wanted peace after WWI, they just did not hear that they were going to go to war all over again with Germany.

Churchill made some astounding prophesies before and during WWII. Many came true because of his profound understanding of history. I always say that if you do not learn from your history, you are going to repeat the errors of your history over and over again.

The definition of craziness is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. We see that all of the time today with our politicians. They do the same thing as if they are going to get different results. If you do a scientific experiment and you are at sea level and put water in a pot and put heat to that pot at 212 degrees, it is going to boil every single time. without question. Water boils at sea level at 212 degrees Fahrenheit. Putting water in a pot at 252 degrees and thinking it is not going to turn into boiling water and steam, you are being a fool. Many of our leaders today are fools.

Churchill prophesized that Germany in WWII would enter into this war because he understood German history very well. The Germans simply repeated what they had done so often in the past. For example, they not only started WWII, but they also started WWI and many wars even before that. The German people have been a warlike people since the days they were known in your Bible as the nation of Assyria. Yes, the Assyrian people of the Bible are the modern day Germans. They are the only people that you find in the Bible believe it or not that call their homeland the Fatherland. You can look that up yourself and see that they refer to their nation as a he whereas most nations refer to their homeland as the motherland.

History does repeat itself time and time and time and time again.

During the 1920’s, Churchill even before Hitler came to power, warned about the rising inflation, ensuing Depression, and the German situation after WWI where they were paying off all of these war debts to England and France. He predicted that unless Germany found a better economic system and if something happened to their economy, a strong leader would arise. When Hitler hit the scene, within a year of that happening, Churchill to a silent, deaf eared House of Lords, kept telling the people of England that Hitler was going to become the enemy of England and Europe and even the world unless he was stopped.

Back in the USA I have to admit, FDR, a president I was not fond of, knew the same exact thing. He knew the power of the new Germany under Hitler, that Hitler had worldwide domination in mind, he did not plan just to kill all of the Jews, the sick and undesirables, but he planned to conquer the world with Nazism.

FDR understood this but the American people after WWII simply did not want to go back to war. SO, they had a deaf ear to anyone who warned about both German and Japanese aggressions around the world. People did not want to hear it.

In fact, in 1940, even after England was in WWII with the Battle of Britain going on, a gallop poll to the American people as if they should enter a war with Germany or Japan if they were to attack our allies further or invade England directly…90 percent, 9 out of 10 Americans in that poll said that America under no circumstance should go to war with Germany or Japan. Then December 7, 1941, would happen, the day that FDR called the Day of Infamy, Japanese attacked an unprotected naval fleet in Pearl Harbor and destroyed the entire American battle fleet. This thrusts the USA into war with Japan and therefore because of the alliance between Germany and Japan, Germany declared war on America, so we declared war onto Germany. That following January 12 months after the poll I mentioned above, in 1941, the poll administered to the American people about what we should do about entering into war, 94% said we belong in the war, we should have been in the war a year or two earlier! Think about that, they flipped.

On the other side of the world was General MacArthur living in the Philippines, he himself knew that the threat in Europe was the same as the threat in the Pacific with an armed Japan with military rule because the emperor of Japan was merely a figurehead. The military ruled Japan since the 1900’s. MacArthur living in the Philippines understood that Japan was attacking China, and they took over a lot of China in the 1930’s. WWII if you want to be frank about it, actually started in 1933 when Japan attacked China. Then they attacked Korea and started taking over all of these little islands when they got to the American territory at the time of the Philippines, attacking them, forcing MacArthur to flee on a PT boat rather than a submarine to show he was not afraid of the Japanese, and when he landed on the shores of Australia, he said to the people of the Philippines and the people of the world, “I shall return”. It is a very famous speech. He was promising the Philippine people to fight with all of their might against the Japanese aggression and that by God’s grace he would return and liberate the Philippines.

The Philippines were a people and a land that MacArthur loved.

Four years later, he did return. It did take a lot of action and planning for that to happen.

A little bit of a side note on MacArthur…when he first landed, he had a meeting with the Australian officials about what they were going to do to protect Australia from the Japanese and they had all but surrendered…sounds like leaders today…they were willing to give up all of Australia except the southeast corner of Sydney, willing to defend that with their lives and let Japan have everything else! MacArthur who was placed by FDR as the supreme ally commander in charge of any troops in the Pacific, including Australia, England, and Canadian troops…and he stood up and thanked the Australian Generals for their plan and said, “Gentlemen, I am not going to be the leader of another retreat. We are attacking and going to take the war of Australia to New Zealand”. People asked him how he intends to do this, and he came up with the famous strategy of hitting them where they ain’t. He would hit the islands where the Japanese were the weakest on a hop skip all the way to Japan cutting off large numbers of Japanese behind the lines that could not get supplies any longer. The plan worked.

MacArthur lived by his words that he would return for 2 and a half more years and did all he could do to free all of the islands under Japanese domination.

The words were not just for MacArthur’s sake…the Americans and the Phillipino’s were trapped by the Japanese. There were military captives and a very famous Japanese death march of Americans left behind in the Philippines captured by the Japanese and treated very horribly. After signing the Japanese surrender, MacArthur wanted to speak to America again with a strong warning about what happened now in the world of nuclear arms because two bombs dropped on Japan. This brought the war to an end and MacArthur knew of the danger and gave a prophetic warning that I believe were words that he came up with inspired by God Almighty…

He said, “We stand in Tokyo today reminiscent of our countryman, Commodore Perry, 92 years ago. His purpose was to bring to — to Japan an era of enlightenment and progress…Men since the beginning of time have sought peace. Various methods through the ages have been attempted to devise an international process to prevent or settle disputes between nations. From the very start, workable methods were found insofar as individual citizens were concerned, but the mechanics of an instrumentality of larger international scope have never been successful. Military alliances, balances of power, leagues of nations, all in turn failed, leaving the only path to be by way of the crucible of war. The utter destructiveness of war now blots out this alternative. We have had our last chance…If we do not now devise some greater and more equitable system, Armageddon will be at our door…. If we do not now devise some greater and more equitable system, Armageddon will be at our door. The problem basically is theological and involves a spiritual recrudescence and improvement of human character that will synchronize with our almost matchless advance in science, art, literature and all material and cultural developments of the past two thousand years. It must be of the spirit if we are to save the flesh”.

So, when he said that Armageddon would be at our door, what did he mean? What is Armageddon? Many people listening today will understand the word. There is a physical place in the modern state of Israel (really Judah), called Megiddo. Armageddon is how it is translated into English. In Revelation we see that it is the spot of the very last war on earth before the return of Christ. When all of the nations of the world will unite against each other and against Israel and the King of the North, the antichrist…all will be going to the Middle East for one final battle. This battle will destroy up to a quarter of the soldiers of the world. It is called the Battle of Armageddon. That is why he said that Armageddon will be at our door. He understood with the advancement of the nuclear age that war now became unthinkable. That to get into a war that would lead to a nuclear war and end up leading to the end of mankind…he understood the Bible and understood God’s plan. He understood that there would be a battle and that right after this battle would be the return of Christ. That is what the Bible says.

When this battle starts, the whole world according the Christ in Matt 24, would be destroyed. That if those days were not cut short no flesh on the face of the earth would survive. Meaning, that there would be total destruction of all mankind through the advancements of war, probably nuclear…that Christ knew about 2000 years ago.

He goes on to say, “but for the elect sake…”, who is the elect? The elect are Christians, true Christians who obey and love Jesus Christ and know He is the God of the OT and understand that He is Yahweh and who said let there be light, and the God who is returning to save us from ourselves…from the Battle of Armageddon…that MacArthur was warning us about and warned that we were entering into that age of the nuclear bomb…when the bomb was dropped over Japan and Nakagaki and Hiroshima.

Not a lot of people are aware of this, but MacArthur who was advised of the plan of dropping nukes, advised against doing so. When his aides were trying to comfort him because he was enraged with the idea that they were going to drop such a bomb on the populous of Japan…General MacArthur did not believe in harming the populations of the people he attacked…his aid said, “But General, what happens if the bomb doesn’t work anyway?”. He turned around and said, “What happens if it does work?”. And it did work. And what was the result? The result was a cold war when Russia got the H bomb which is 100 times more powerful than the A bomb. The whole world went into the nuclear proliferation where everyone wanted the bomb. Little by little, each country that could get the bomb, got the bomb.

Now we are at the point in history where Arab nations want the bomb…not for protection, but for annihilating their enemies, namely Israel, the USA, and the people of the Lost Tribes of Israel.

That is the purpose of it all.

So, we have had in our history prophets even to our day, but we just don’t know that we have had them. We don’t realize that God is still active in this country, God is still sending prophets to this country, God is still getting His message out…even in this broadcast, as small of a following that we have. …we have to realize that our answers do not lie with our politicians, Donald J Trump is not our savior, Jesus Christ is, and our answers depend on our relationship with the God of the universe…Jesus Christ, who formed us, made us…who is our God and our brother and our Savior. He continually sends prophets to us even though we do not recognize it…people who are trying to get us to understand the plan of God, God has always had watchmen over Israel. That includes America and Britain. God has always had people who warned us throughout history of what would happen if we moved away from God. General MacArthur was right, we have had our last chance. If we refuse to except that, there is a nightmare getting ready to explode in the world. That nightmare would be a nuclear world war be it, 3, 4 or 5, I don’t know. There many become destructive wars to come, but we know from the Bible there is going to be a war of wars that annihilates the entire earth and every living creature on it and it will take the return of the God that made this earth…none other than the God we now as Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Jesus will be coming back as Lord of Lords and King of Kings, to save ourselves because we are too stupid to listen and learn from our history.

Maybe in the short run God does alter His plans when the people turn to God in prayer and fasting and ask God for deliverance. We saw this in the story of Jonah. Jonah was told to go to Ninevah and to tell them that their destruction was at hand. After Jonah tried to run away and got swallowed in the belly of the big fish…he ends up going to Ninevah, gives the warning obeying God and the people changed their ways. The destruction of Ninevah did not occur as God predicted it would. Jonah was pretty miffed when it didn’t happen, he sat under a tree waiting to see the city become destroyed…he wanted to be given a prophesy that was going to turn out to be right and didn’t like those people of Ninevah anyways…when he realized it wasn’t destroyed, he became angry. God told Jonah off, telling him he had no right to be angry. He said these people have turned from their ways and repented from their sins and put on sackcloth’s and ashes and prayed…and I listened to them and prevented their destruction in their day.

God does not want to see us suffer and die.

Oh Israel, why do you choose death? God asks back in the Torah. Why do we choose death when God wants us to choose life. Part of choosing life is observing God’s laws, His ways, and understanding God’s mind. IT is about learning from our history. Yes, my friends, America, England and the world still have prophets of God, we just don’t recognize them because our media does not want to admit there even is a God let alone a prophet of God.
